Now this new lady manager just scares the living crap out of me right off the bat like a Stephen King movie! Granted I'm on a 500MG to 800MG of caffeine a day to get me through work but she is definitely on something far stronger! She's over eager and extremely way too over hyped! First, there were visible brown edges on the romaine and when I lifted my cardboard salad box from under the sneeze guard it smelled! Like the smell of an airline salad-- the one you get in planes that has that "I've been in a bag for way too long" telltale odor. Like I didn't have to put my nose even close to it and I could smell it. Lettuce shouldn't smell. You sell fresh lettuce 100' away! I know it's a different department but Whole Foods of all establishments should be able to figure out fresh lettuce. I'm very close to stopping my go-to WF salad bar because of this issue at multiple stores. Mixing fresh and unfresh lettuce to fool us into taking it off your hands, having poor greens selection, (how bout baby kale?), and not having blue cheese crumbles. Your salad bars used to be so good. And these issues aren't unique to this store so this is some kind of corporate policy or training or process issue. I'd dearly love to remain a salad bar customer - but not if this is how it continues to be.

They were "out of stock" and all they had was this ridiculous blended product with multiple forms of creatine (not shown by any study to be better than monohydrate) and they marked the price up to $80 per bottle. This is absolutely pathetic and ridiculous- whoever owns this store should be ashamed of themselves. With selection and service like this it's no wonder brick and mortar stores are dying out. Save your money a buy it on Amazon and don't get ripped off.

In long Maybe it's just me, but it seems like they used to stock a much wider variety of specialty produce (among other things) here. The shelves and cases are all still full, and the quality is good. But you used to walk through here and see at least half a dozen things that practically no other stores had on hand. They still have good stuff, though--no doubt. The bakery section was super tempting, and there were dozens of choices among meat, fish, and poultry. The produce section is really big for this size of store--imagine if Trader Joe's focused on fruit and veg instead of snacks and frozen stuff, and you have a general picture of the ratio. Prices are a bit higher here than TJ, but not unreasonable. Quality is very good (esp. on produce). There are long aisles of shelf-stable condiments, packaged stuff, tons of spices. They definitely aim first at the home cooks who think of themselves as home cooks, and secondly at the folks who just know they need good groceries. Beer and wine are just a few basics, maybe half a small aisle. They had a few solid manager's specials going today, and the staff were all very nice (if not very bubbly). I'd happily shop here if I didn't have to drive past half a dozen other supermarkets that are all good options. So, I'd shop here if I lived in Mill Creek, essentially.

Now they're rolling out lab-grown "cultivated" meatballs grown in a steel tank. A store that sold itself on real food, close to the soil, now peddling factory birds and bioreactor protein. There's no farm. There's no market. There's a marketing department with good lighting. One star, and only because zero wasn't an option. I'll spend my money where I can look the rancher in the eye.

I got back in my car and sitting in the parking lot I called the Marysville location. A very nice gentleman answered and said that they would be happy to help me and to come right over. I did that and when I walked in the door there were two people ready to help. There is a new store manager that just took over about the beginning of May. I will be coming back.
