After parking my car in an open spot, I went inside looking for a magazine to buy. Walking around the store, I found the newsstand section and a number of timely magazine covers. The magazines display made it so I could readily read the names of the different magazines. I opted for a LIFE magazine Jimmy Carter commemorative edition with a pre-tax price tag of $14.99. The copy showed no wear nor markings. In a different section, seasonal offerings - Valentine's Day on this visit, were varied and taste bud-piquing. To make both of my purchases timely in nature, I opted for a package of red velvet Reese's peanut butter cups. Workers at checkout were clear in communication and I encountered no issues with payment (total of less than $19 with tax for both items). I found the parking lot busier when I left than when I arrived.

This Walgreens is so bad…read more I recently changed insurance and had to switch from CVS in Lynnwood (a great pharmacy I never have issues with) to this Walgreens, and right from the get go there were problems. I called the pharmacy because I was going to run out of medication, and originally they said it would be done on the date I was calling. The person who answered the phone was so unbelievably rude. He barked at me "NAME?" "BIRTHDATE" etc. Then he tried to tell me that it was too early to get the prescription, and I had to wait until a specific date. I corrected him and pointed out that date had past two days ago. He then barked at me that they were out of my medication and would need to order it, and wouldn't have it ready for three days. He told me if I wanted it sooner I could call around other pharmacies. I tried calling the Lynnwood pharmacy on 99, and the phone kept ringing and ringing. Someone would pick up the phone and then immediately put it back on hold without any sort of greeting. I gave up at 15 minutes of this. I waited 3 more days for my script and had to call to make sure it could be filled because it magically "disappeared" off my profile as if I never requested it. This time a woman answered the phone who was polite and she said it could be ready later that day. I then use the drive thru to pick up my medication, where I'm waiting behind someone for about 7 minutes. Once they finally leave, I pull up to the window and the woman hurries away. There is a man stocking/pulling prescriptions for 10 minutes in front of me without acknowledging my presence. (Wtf?) Eventually the woman comes back and gets my prescription. I then schedule to get my flu and Covid vaccines at this location. I schedule at 11am and got there at 10:53am to check in. I sit until 11:40am to get these vaccines. Meanwhile, there is a small line of people forming to pick up their prescriptions, and the phone is ringing off the hook. One of the pharmacy workers starts getting terse with a customer who says "I'm not blaming you, I'm just trying to pick up my medication". It really didn't seem like it was that busy, and the pharmacy staff moved at a regular pace. For whatever reason everything was just...slow? I don't know if this place is chronically understaffed all the time, if the staff are mismanaged, or a combination of both, but this is the WORST pharmacy I've had to deal with in a long time. The saving grace was the one staff member who gave me my shots and was very friendly and social with me (which surprised me considering the other staff weren't like this). So I appreciate her maintaining positivity. TLDR; If you can avoid Walgreens, I would.

They have a good selection of over the counter medicines and a pharmacy. I went in looking for hand sanitizer yesterday (26 April 2020) and they were all sold out even of the small travel size ones. The were almost sold out of soap, there were not many left. Oh well, a reason to try back again later. I like the themed section in the back of the store with miscellaneous Seahawks, Seattle, University of Washington, and Washington State University novelties. It is fun to peruse, occasionally I find good gifts or things for myself. I have found excellent cards here over the years for various occasions. They also have a big selection of candy and a solid selection of school and office supplies. Good place to go if you need something from more than one of these categories.

Workers have been nice in my experience and we have found some really great/useful items. Growing up, we used the pharmacy for prescriptions, but ended up transferring across the street to QFC due to shorter wait times. However, we have used the Rite Aid pharmacy a few times after the switch when it carries what we need and might be faster than QFC. On occasion, it is also the closest option to the house to carry a given prescription for the medical ailment we did not see coming.

I dropped off my dog's prescription…read moreapproximately a week ago and received **zero communication** from the pharmacy during that entire time. My dog has been taking this medication for over a year, and I know it takes about two days to ship to the store, which is why I planned ahead and submitted the prescription nearly a week in advance. When I finally called on September 9 to find out what was happening, I spoke with an employee named Ahmed. He did not introduce himself, I was left on hold for more than five minutes, and when he came back he told me the medication hadn't come in because of the holiday weekend and that my veterinarian's DEA credentials were supposedly "expired." I contacted my veterinarian myself, and they told me there was **no issue with their DEA credentials** and that the problem was on the pharmacy's side. What makes this even more frustrating is that the medication apparently wasn't even ordered until September 8 -- approximately six days after I dropped off the prescription. If there was an issue with the prescription, why didn't anyone contact me or the veterinarian when it was first identified? Why was I left to discover the problem myself nearly a week later? When I asked Ahmed why the medication hadn't been ordered sooner, his response was essentially that there had been a holiday weekend and that I could just pick up the prescription and have someone else order it for me. When I tried to understand what had happened and what I could do differently in the future to prevent this from happening, he became dismissive, stopped meaningfully responding to my questions, and was sarcastic when I asked to speak with a manager. Thankfully, I was eventually able to speak with the pharmacist, who was professional and actually gave me a clear answer about when the medication was expected. The frustrating part is that this could have been handled so easily. If there was an issue with the prescription, **call the veterinarian. If there was going to be a delay, communicate with the customer. If a mistake was made, acknowledge it and apologize.** Instead, there was no communication for nearly a week, the prescription was apparently delayed unnecessarily, and when I called for answers, I was treated like I was inconveniencing the employee. I understand that pharmacies get busy and that prescriptions can encounter issues. What I don't understand is the complete lack of communication and the dismissive, sarcastic attitude I received when I tried to get a straightforward explanation. This was not just a frustrating experience -- it made me question whether I can rely on this pharmacy to appropriately handle an important medication for my dog. I sincerely hope management addresses both the prescription-handling process and the customer service I received from Ahmed.
