After parking my car in an open spot, I went inside looking for a magazine to buy. Walking around the store, I found the newsstand section and a number of timely magazine covers. The magazines display made it so I could readily read the names of the different magazines. I opted for a LIFE magazine Jimmy Carter commemorative edition with a pre-tax price tag of $14.99. The copy showed no wear nor markings. In a different section, seasonal offerings - Valentine's Day on this visit, were varied and taste bud-piquing. To make both of my purchases timely in nature, I opted for a package of red velvet Reese's peanut butter cups. Workers at checkout were clear in communication and I encountered no issues with payment (total of less than $19 with tax for both items). No one came to the window, so I went to the normal pharmacy window. The woman that assisted me at the pharmacy window was annoyed I wasn't at the shot window, but nobody came to the shop window (I waited 5 minutes). This could easily be fixed if they had a bell/ringer at the shot window. I completed the medical information online prior to my arrival, but the store couldn't retrieved the I formation, so I had to fill out the medical record form again. This was very redundant and a waste of time. The positive part of my visit, was the pharmacist that gave my shots. She did an excellent job. I received two shots, and they were perfect sticks; I did not feel them. Overall, this Walgreens has everything you need, they just need to make their processes more efficient.

The parking is tight for navigation, though there tends to be open spot(s) depending on when one comes. Inside the store is clean and sections straightforward to shop. Workers have been nice in my experience and we have found some really great/useful items. Growing up, we used the pharmacy for prescriptions, but ended up transferring across the street to QFC due to shorter wait times. However, we have used the Rite Aid pharmacy a few times after the switch when it carries what we need and might be faster than QFC. On occasion, it is also the closest option to the house to carry a given prescription for the medical ailment we did not see coming.

I liked that this has been a local family-owned store for a long time and they have some good sales during the holidays. I can't remember ever having a checkout experience quite like the one I encountered at Zakia's…read morecheck stand this morning. The customer ahead of me had a large number of groceries that she was bagging herself while Zakia stood by, looking pretty. I had a single quart of eggnog. While I was tapping my credit card, Zakia picked up my wallet and phone from the ledge next to the credit card machine and tried to hand them to the customer still bagging her groceries. I objected, of course. That wasn't all Zakia did. She said to me, "You're good to go." I started to leave before realizing that my egg nog was still sitting, out of reach, to Zakia's right on the conveyor belt. She did not hand me the receipt. Instead, she placed it face down on top of a messy pile of coupons. I could not have exited the store without showing my receipt to the security guard. Even if today was Zakia's first day of work, I will never understand how she can think It was appropriate to touch, much less pick up and hand off, another person's extremely sensitive and valuable personal property. The thing to do is to SPEAK and ask the customer bagging her groceries if the wallet and phone belonged to her. I also would have preferred to wait while Zakia did her job and bagged those groceries herself.

I even asked a complicated question about how to use a healthcard OTC card to pay for products and asked about which products were allowed and they were able to answer it for me (while other drug stores had not been able to answer this same question). Kudos to the staff for knowing the answer and being able to take me to a couple places in the store and point things out to me on regards to which products were allowed and how to identify them.
