The parking lot was busy on my most recent visit to this Walgreens location on Edmonds Way today, Tuesday 28 January 2025. After parking my car in an open spot, I went inside looking for a magazine to buy. Walking around the store, I found the newsstand section and a number of timely magazine covers. The magazines display made it so I could readily read the names of the different magazines. I opted for a LIFE magazine Jimmy Carter commemorative edition with a pre-tax price tag of $14.99. The copy showed no wear nor markings. In a different section, seasonal offerings - Valentine's Day on this visit, were varied and taste bud-piquing. To make both of my purchases timely in nature, I opted for a package of red velvet Reese's peanut butter cups. Workers at checkout were clear in communication and I encountered no issues with payment (total of less than $19 with tax for both items). They're constantly understaffed. I've come back multiple times for the same prescription and finally got it after waiting over an hour. There's usually only one person covering the car line and inside at the pharmacy window and I've never seen the pharmacist . When you do get someone they're very nice I feel bad for them that they have no help. I've come in the evening before and couldn't find an employee at all, when she finally arrived it was a young high school girl covering the entire building by herself. I guess Walgreens isn't making enough money to properly staff their buildings. read more

I was traveling and had a virtual doctors appt so I needed to have my script sent to a near by pharmacy. I chose to go with a retail pharmacy so it would be more likely in network with my insurance. The only issue I had was that they sent the prescription immediately so we went around to kill 40 minutes and arrived to pick it up and when we got there it wasn't filled and they had no explanation. This pharmacy has messed up my prescriptions 3 months in a row, with zero communication with me. Today I finally went in to pick up a prescription that should have been done 2 weeks ago. There were cars waiting in the drive through so I opted to go inside. There were 3 people ahead of me and it still took over 50 minutes to get help. I am done with walgreens. read more

Eight people have been in line at the pharmacy for half an hour now. Every few minutes we creep forward as another person joins. If Walgreens had even the slightest interest in practicing something approaching acceptable customer service this wouldn't happen. But they don't. So instead we continue to inch forward, hoping that we can pick up our prescribed medicines before whatever condition brings us here causes irreparable harm. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used. They are consistently understaffed and completely incompetent. After them failing to refill my Perscription for a week, my Dr called it into a different location. The new pharmacy couldn't fill it though because Walgreens wouldn't cancel it even though I submitted the request 2 days earlier. More so, they couldn't reach them by phone. I had to drive in person to have my Perscription cancelled so that it could be filled by a better place. They never failed to find a reason they couldn't fill a Perscription - "our safe won't open" was the latest one. This store is likely a shill for illegal activity. These people are functioning at the lowest level and don't know how to use a computer. They will tell you that there's no refills, and you have to look them in the eye and say, "yes there are". Then they fool around clicking aimlessly before finally locating the only colleague who can help. Lines are impossibly long, no phone access to live people, medications unstocked, safes are inaccessible. They will send your Perscription back to your Dr to prevent having to do work. There's other pharmacies in the area, don't be like me and switch early on and save yourself the headaches and stress. This place should be demolished. read more

I'm a long time customer. There are billing coordination problems every month. Same drugs prescribed by the same doctor using the same insurance I've used for years. I thought they were understaffed but after yesterday and today I wonder. The person I talked to in person couldn't help. After 20 minutes said the system is "glitching." I left without my prescriptions. Today on the phone, more excuses. The person I talked to couldn't help, didn't disconnect the phone and laughed and told a coworker "I'm like I can't do anything," then responded "whatever" when I called for an update. This is terrible customer service. Those are lifesaving drugs. I'd switch pharmacies if there was a more reliable alternative. I'm ready to tear my hair out! read more

Review for Pharmacy Only! Every time I go to pick up meds, there's always a line of at least five people. The line never moves because there are constant problems. Customers are always walking away frustrated, having waited for nothing. Last week a gentleman waited 45 minutes for his scheduled vaccination with no one else there for that appointment. He complained and then was seen and out of there in 5 minutes. I think they forgot about him! There's always a sign on the window saying "short-staffed" or "we're hiring for pharmacy techs". Every one-star review about the pharmacy at this location is absolutely correct. No amount of escalating to managers has changed the horrible, horrible service and attitudes that I've experienced since moving my prescriptions to Edmond 4 years ago. You need to be proactive and micromanage every aspect of every prescription that your doctors submit to them and that they botch over and over again. Sadly, I don't think any retail pharmacy is any better and it's a sad state of affairs for the entire industry . The rest of the store is clean and well stocked and is a good place to shop for anything but prescriptions. read more

Traveling, I use Walgreens all over the west with great service & staff have been so professional, but this store is opposite, they actually lied to me reporting that they had "just received" the rx order. Having contacted both my presciber & the Walgreens in my hometown/state, they had reported it had gone through earlier already. Since I was unable to wait an hour for a box of my pills, I had to leave to return to the ferry boat to take me back to the Olympic Peninsula. "Absolutely awful service". (WALGREEN's on Edmonds Way around 1:30, on 4-Nov-2023.) My wife and I just arrived at the pharmacy and while a customer was being served; whereby pharmacy staff closed the pharmacy right in front of us, for lunch time. Despite my wife being disabled, they instructed to come back later after their lunch break. They could have let us in and to just collect our (single) prescription, given that my wife is elderly, just survived a stroke and has difficulty walking. Nobody should treat customers like that, especially just reaching the closing time, with no consideration. read more

The pharmacist is absolutely not knowledgeable. We made and appointment for Covid shots, which are covered by Medicare. I filled out the paperwork on line, but we still had to wait about 30 min for them to input all the information (same as I had previously entered) and then were told that we each need to pay $148 for the vaccine. No explanations and the pharmacist did not even came out from her hiding place in the back to talk to us. We went across the street to QFC pharmacy, got excellent service and the vaccine was covered by Medicare! read more

I have written earlier about bad experiences with the Edmonds Walgreen's pharmacy. There have been several more since then, within the last month. I called in a prescription on a Tuesday to have it delivered. By Friday, it had not arrived. I called and was told that the prescription had been canceled. I said, "I didn't cancel it; who did? And I need that prescription today." No one knew how the prescription had been canceled. The phone person said they couldn't deliver it until Monday, because Fed Ex had already picked up the packages to be delivered, and they didn't deliver on weekends, and I shouldn't wait so long to order it. I said, "I ordered it on Tuesday. I didn't screw up; you people did. So it's your responsibility to correct the error, not mine." Two other times when I called in prescription renewals, they asked if I wanted a same day delivery, and I said yes. Both times it was delivered 3 days later. The following week I called on Monday, with two prescriptions to be delivered. By Friday, I hadn't received them. I called. A woman whose voice I found hard to understand answered. I spent a long time giving my name and phone number and birth date and the names of the prescriptions I had ordered. She had no idea where the order was. I said, "When did Fed Ex pick it up? You usually have a record of that. I know because I've asked people before and they have been able to tell me." She said, "Just a minute," and after a long time the call dropped. Another staff person called. I said, "When did Fed Ex pick up my prescriptions that I called in last Monday?" She started telling me all sorts of things that did not answer the question. Apparently, they now use Door Dash as their delivery system. I said, "Fine, when did Door Dash pick up the two prescriptions?" She did not answer my question. I decided no one had picked them up and they had been sitting there for 5 days. She said she wished I'd speak more calmly. I said let me speak to your supervisor please. Someone came to the phone who said he was the floor supervisor. I told him the story. He said "The insurance determines the delivery date. Why didn't you call Door Dash to arrange things with them?" I said, "in the first place the insurance determines the delivery date only if the customer has requested a refill too early. I know that I did not request at least one of the medications too early, because I'm all out of it. In the second place, I didn't know that you were now using Door Dash. In the third place, when I originally inquired about home delivery, two members of your staff told me to tell the pharmacy staff when I called in the prescription. I would have been happy to call Fed Ex or Door Dash or possibly the Tooth Fairy or Al's Homing Pigeon Service to arrange for transport, but your staff had never told me that was the practice." He said, "What were you told about the delivery date when you called in the prescriptions?" I said, "NOBODY HAS EVER TOLD ME A DELIVERY DATE!!!!! Well, twice they asked me if I wanted same day delivery, and I said yes, and it arrived three days later. Discussing delivery dates with your staff is a meaningless exercise." He repeated that the insurance determined the delivery date, and I repeated that was true only if the customer was ordering a refill too early. He then suggested that I pick it up myself. I said, "I'm disabled. I can't drive." He said, "Then you need to ask a neighbor to pick it up for you." I said, "I'm not the one who screwed up; you people are. You're trying to make it my problem, when it is really your problem, because you let the prescriptions sit there for 5 days. Furthermore, you have been trying to blame me by asking me to believe that the insurance always determines the date of the delivery. That's gaslighting, and if you don't know what gaslighting is, then some time watch a film of that name with Ingrid Bergman. It's your mistake, and it's your responsibility to correct it. Why can't any of you people say, 'We screwed up; we're sorry, and we will correct our mistake by seeing to it that you get that medicine today.' I've been coming to this Walgreens ever since it was built and it replaced the bowling alley. The store is beautiful and neat, and generally is fully stocked for all your needs and wants. However, the service leaves something to be desired, ESPECIALLY the pharmacy. The employees seem fairly miserable. They walk around huffing and puffing, and can be fairly unhelpful with the exception of one or two of them. I use the pharmacy maybe once a year. The last time I went I waited through the drive through lane up until I was the next vehicle. After the last person drove off I pulled up and the pharmacist closed the window and put up an "out for lunch sign". It was extremely frustrating as I had waited in line for quite some time. I went in to see if there was any way I could get my prescription and the person at the front counter said "No, they have an hour break so they stop at the time regardless of how many customers are in line." Interesting business model. Nevertheless, I needed to pick up my prescription that had been sent in the previous day. I called 5-6 throughout the day to check on the status. The automated line would state they had the prescription but it was still being processed. I called at 6 pm as I could hardly wait any longer , I bypassed the automated system waited on hold and then got someone in the pharmacy. They stated it had been ready since 10 am. So I wouldn't really on the automated system, or their updating of the automated system. So basically I had waited all day for something that had been ready all along. When I went in there were 4 people behind the pharmacy counter. There was no greeting (which I guess I understand, but it just made the experience worse), then while the male was looking for my prescription him and his coworker were talking about how they were trapped behind the glass all day and they were saying "f*ck you" back and forth to each other. I get it, but it just shows a lack of care in what they do, and makes me dread going there. Skip the pharmacy, grab a bag of m&ms! read more

Vibrant, clean, really well organized store with kind, helpful employees. I've come in a couple of times looking for particular items. The same cashier greeted me right away and told me where I could find what I was looking for, knowing exactly where they were kept. Prices are great. Huge parking lot! read more

Walgreens' pharmacy in Edmond is absolutely clean and has great employees, specially the vaccination Technician Mariana who gave us the Covid-19 Booster . This store has a little bit of everything, but the focus is on health and wellness... after all, this is a drugstore! This store is brand new, replacing the old Robinhood Lanes bowling alley #sadface. The interior is nice and clean and well lit. Not much for you to trip yourself on. The lady behind the front counter greeted me, which was a nice touch, albeit a bit cheesy. Being a new store, I am sure they want to welcome everyone. TBH the points system at Walgreens is a bit befuddling, as I am not a regular in these stores. Their pricing is a bit on the high end when comparing to the chain stores (Safeway, Freddies, etc.) and is on-par. with QFC. Their price tags are confusing with the true price at the bottom and the sale price on top which is opposite of what everyone else does. The aisles are not as tall as most stores and this store is pleasantly warm with that new-apparel smell. read more

This place is very clean and friendly staffs. I was scheduled for my booster and pharmacist was very friendly and prompt.

Ten Days Later and Still No Refill - The pharmacy services from Edmonds Walgreens declined further. They sent a notice that one of two prescriptions I needed had been refilled and was ready for pick up. The other needed a new prescription. I provided the name of my new doctor and the fax number. Ten days later they had not contacted my new doctor. I contacted the new doctor. Her assistant reported their office had repeatedly contacted Walgreens about the change, because every one of their patients who used Walgreens had the same problem. Each time Walgreens failed to record and acknowledge the change. The only pharmacy their patients used that had this problem was Walgreens. Meanwhile, the prescription that was reportedly ready for pickup at Walgreens had disappeared, and the pharmacy tech on the phone said she knew nothing about it, there was no record of it, and denied it had existed at all. I expressed my profound displeasure at the gaslighting and incompetence. After Edmonds Walgreens represented that they would assist me in refilling my prescriptions, Edmonds Walgreens failed to do on a timely basis, then when I complained they refused to to do it all. That's right. For daring to express my profound displeasure at their gaslighting and incompetence, the pharmacist, who refused to talk with me, or to provide his/her name, decided the pharmacy would no longer fill my prescriptions. It's just as well. Enough is enough. I can purchase my prescriptions online for less. I thought of Walgreens in Edmonds as a neighborhood pharmacy. It's not. The unidentified pharmacist is not a person I trust to refill my prescriptions accurately, and on a timely basis. Walgreens was the preferred local pharmacy designated by my insurer. Switching to my insurer's preferred online pharmacy was simple. My doctor's office notified the on-line pharmacy of the change. The online pharmacy processed the prescriptions, didn't charge any co-pay, and the prescriptions are on their way. read more

Walgreens Edmonds used to be my 'go-to' Pharmacy store; while the Pharmacy is wonderful, the general store customer service is appalling! People working there are sullen; obviously, they do not like working there, but the recently instituted lockdown of merchandise is ridiculous! Not only is most of their shelf merchandise behind locked plexiglass, but when the salesperson comes to open it (that is IF you can find a sales associate), they stand a foot behind you, staring at every move, even while reading the label (!) and then immediately take the product you choose and place it behind the counter. I get that they are trying to avert shoplifting, but it is ridiculous how they treat customers as if everyone there is out to steal from them; being treated like a thief with no justification is absurd. read more

Going to the new Edmonds, WA Walgreens was the worst experience. They have horrible customer service. You would think that asking someone if they needed help finding anything would be a great thing, however my husband and I were EACH asked 3 times each by three different employees, and 4 times by the check out clerk if we needed help finding anything. Then all the employees literally stood in every isle we went in watching us making it seem as if we were doing something wrong or stealing! I'm 8 months pregnant, what am I going to do grab something and run out of the store?! It was absolutely insulting and annoying. I grew up 2 blocks away from this location and have lived here 20 years. It was our first time visiting the store tonight and will be our last. You can tell none of the employees live in Edmonds. Big mistake tearing down Robinhood Lanes. I Definitely will be staying loyal to Bartells. read more

Both the store and pharmacy are good, but the main reason it gets five stars is the pharmacy. They are 110% on top of their game - they've caught drug interactions or inaccurate prescriptions and called my doctors to double-check the instructions, and in most cases they were right to call and the doc changes it! I have prescriptions that change a lot and they are always on top of making sure it's the right dose and getting the insurance company to deal with it if needed. Love that they have a drive-through as well for those days when you just don't want to get out of the car. Only downside is they don't take one of my insurances :/ but it's an odd insurance anyways so I'm not too surprised. Great selection of vitamins and general health-related things. Their prices are about average for everything. Their associates, both in the pharmacy and in the store area, are really friendly and I've never had a bad experience with one. I think we've had to wait in line once - all the other times we've been here, someone's been available for us to check out right away. One thing: DON'T get dairy products from here. It's sketchy to get them from anywhere but a grocery store anyways, but I made the mistake of buying a gallon of milk from here once and it went bad two days later (the exp. wasn't for another two weeks). read more

This place? I really like. It's super clean and oh so organized! Everything is carefully labeled. Aisles are all clear to walk through. It's nice and bright in here. If you missed something? Just ask. They are very helpful. It's my go-to place for hygiene stuff, beauty necessities and sometimes candies. Oh yeah! Check it out if you are in the area. For a Walgreens, this one is super clean, and the staff are really friendly. The only reason I wouldn't give the overall store 5 stars is because of the pharmacy. The team doesn't seem to be on the same page or communicate well. They called me at 9pm, which I really think isnt very approproate, and I was given 3 different dates for my prescription to be ready. I won't be filling my prescriptions here any more, but would recommend the normal store read more

I have done western union at Walgreens and other establishments a dozen times due to my elderly grandparents using it as their only way of money transferring. The manager who assisted me did two things that struck me as odd, 1. Asked me my relation to the sender & 2. Asked me the reason for receiving. I have done this process with Walgreens at least a dozen times and this was my first time ever being asked this. I said grandparent, and reason was a holiday Gift. But it did rub me the wrong way. She then told me they spelled my name wrong (despite two years of my grandparents never doing this before?And my grandfather who sent it has my name spelled correctly tattooed on him?) and I have her the benefit of the doubt and told her I understand it's not her fault and it's all good. Before I decided to write a review, I headed over to the next Walgreens, and promptly received my transfer without any issues. Showing me that manager had falsely told me they spelled my name incorrectly. On top of asking me personal, INVASIVE questions I've NEVER ONCE been asked before doing a western union transfer with other managers at Walgreens, she lied to me and wasted my time, On my birthday. Said on her name tag she was a team member since 2013- maybe she's burnt out and needs a new job because as a manager myself in regional training, she needs a refresher on how to do her job. This store is okay, I honestly avoid going in when I can because the employees are almost overbearing! I get asked if I need help like 5 times when I am in there for 10 minutes! I understand asking a customer once or so being friendly, but it makes me feel pressured when they ask time and time again. And they always try to push cosmetic sales on me as I am checking out. very clean store with nice people! They greet you when you walk in and even though it sometimes gets annoying all employees ask if your finding everything ok as it can be confusing at times since the layout is so different. It seems at night like they are following you around the store between 9-10 but they are really just facing. I am impressed. Other walgreens i go to are dirty and dark. I have talked to everyone who works there and they seem to all live within a mile of the store which is great that they hired locally. i recommend this store to everyone. read more

Staff is always friendly but there is new managers and the place has really gone down hill. Loved the old managers. They do make sure your finding everything OK because its a new store and apparently people get lost looking for things! I've never had a problem here I love all the sales and pharmacy staff. read more
