Typical tired asian FOB lady who speaks broken english at the register, can't even understand her. I'm asian myself, my mom was a immigrant who worked as a cashier, always had a smile on her face and was pleasant so never think its a race or immigrant things, its always a CHOICE to be polite or not to be polite. Shelves are still empty, simple things are locked up, needing an employee to assist shoppers, if one is available, aisles are blocked by cases of unshelved goods, and around the perimeter, garbage, and even discarded wooden pallets with nails sticking out at all angles make it dangerous and unpleasant to even approach the store. I'm glad their shareholders are rolling in money they siphoned from this once-thriving chain. Shut them all down. read more

I think I've only given a 1-star review once- and that was for an auto shop where the manager threatened to stick a stapler through my husband's head just for asking why something was missing from our car. In our experience at this Walgreens, they didn't go THAT far, so ok, I'll give them 2 stars. I don't know how specific I should get because I don't want to write a book here. It's prob gonna be long anyway. Let's just start by saying this review is solely for the photo department. My husband and I walked in to get our passport photos taken. Two workers approached the desk as they saw us waiting, we told them we wanted passport photos taken... and strangely they turned away so that one could take a passport photo of the other worker. When they finished, a worker turns back around to face us and goes, "Oh, you wanted passport photos, too? Oops!" They had already put the white screen back up as if we didn't exist. So they get everything set up again and the worker whose photo was taken starts to take my photos without really talking much- I thought I'd get some direction from her on what to do, but ok. Afterwards she clicks quickly through the prompts on the display screen and I swear I saw some "check" points rather than "pass", but before I knew it, she told me to input my contact info, then rings me up at the register. Does she move on to help my husband, who is standing right next to me? Nope. Instead, she rings the customer up BEHIND us, even though I told her my husband was waiting. She tries to ring up the NEXT person after that until I say, "Is anyone going to take my husband's photo?!" So she does. But instead of ringing my husband up afterwards like she did with me, she tells him to go to the regular store register instead... which has a line. Maybe because she wanted to get the DoorDash delivery behind us ASAP? I don't understand why she was so willing to ignore us. My husband barely said a word to her. As we're waiting in the OTHER line for several minutes, she eventually says she can take the next person in our line where she was- back at the photos department. We were the next people. Why didn't she just ring my husband up in the first place? We just stayed where we were because we were too upset. To make things worse, my husband never received his digital copy, even after 48 hours. We went back to get it done again, and another 48 hours has passed and he STILL hasn't received the digital copy. We're done with this Walgreens. read more

If you have literally any other choice of pharmacy in your network, take it. The store itself is sketchy and always a little dirty. The pharmacy routinely places you on hold, then hang up on you after 5-10 minutes of waiting (they'll do this over and over). The staff are also routinely incompetent. I have a script that refills every 28 days and every single 31 day month I go through gaslighting and denial as they refuse to actually count the number of days on a calendar (you picked up on the 8th, it's only the 7th, so you can't have your script, etc etc). I can't even imagine how harmful this flagrant disregard for people is when dealing with elderly patients or those who need life saving medications. Why this Walgreens stayed open when they closed all the other pharmacies in the area---I'll never understand. read more

And it was giving to them . Then they said that's wasn't enough that's all they can do it me buying the order again . Because they couldn't take it because it was considered as selling from them . Mind you if that was the case my buying inside store it was going to take up to 7 days for Walgreens to give me back my money ! I'm really upset . Lever time I come to this pharmacy there is a massive line, regardless of time of day, and it moves insanely slowly. I'd say it must be understaffing, but there are always 5 people working, which sure seems enough. But they just seem to wander off - the person helping me did TWICE! And the meds I came to get this morning are STILL not ready - they'll be ready "in 10 minutes".... This place just sucks. Oh and the front doors are smashed in. Delightful place. read more

My husband has been waiting for 11 days to get his albuterol inhaler prescription filled still not ready. Have tried calling numbersous times and waited on Hold for over an hour cannot get anyone to answer. Their automated call option just keeps saying they are working on it! Do yourself a favor, don't make an appointment for a vaccine here--in fact, don't come here at all. We had a 5:00 appointment and they ran more than two and a half hours late. No explanation, no apology, no chairs. This location also comes with the added bonus of a trash-covered parking lot, a sketchy neighborhood, and the usual assortment of eight-balls that Walgreens seems to attract. Two of us got immunizations here recently. We waited an hour despite having appts. From the forms we had pre printed and filled out - they put may address as my doctors office address. Sloppy. The immunization room was disgusting. Some liquid spilled down the door and the frosted glass panel on the door & was dried in a puddle on the ground. It had obviously been there for awhile. Days weeks? The immunization room should be DISINFECTED several times daily. I can't believe how dirty it was. There's always some weirdo in the store & outside too. I scheduled a vaccine online at this location days in advance, got the confirmation and everything. Planning was super easy! Then, the morning of my appointment, I got a call from someone in pharmacy saying their system had allowed too many people to schedule and so they had to cancel people. I get it, stuff happens, but the person I spoke with was not very helpful in giving alternatives or making things right. She told me only that they would not honor my appointment and she appreciates my understanding, repeatedly. I won't be attempting to reschedule with them, since they made it clear they did not intend to try to help me reschedule. During this time of year, vaccinations are so important, especially right now. Pharmacies need to be aware of the importance of their customers' health and try to make things right. Hopefully Rite Aid can be more on top of things. read more

Walgreens refuses COVID testing unless you are in a car. This flagrantly discriminates against the many disabled, low-income, essential workers, and others who must use public transportation or walk. The worse customer service experience I have ever had! They put me on hold for over 20mins and then they hanged up.

Came here for my monthly bottle of Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle Retinol Serum. They didn't have it. I've been buying it here for years, and this is the first time they've ever been out of it. In fact, two-thirds of their entire Neutrogena display was empty. I figured I could at least use the bathroom while I was there; the employee told me it's "closed", and has been since the start of covid. I've used it at least once since Spring 2020, so that can't be right. If they're going to ban regular customers from using their restrooms, they should at least have a sign somewhere to that effect. Was also not impressed with the parking lot filled with trash or the boarded-up windows by the front door that haven't been repaired in at least three months. Maybe their employees could spend some of the free time they have from not restocking shelves and keeping their bathroom locked to customers to pick up some of the trash nestling in months-old drifts around the building? On my way out I told the employee who banned me from the bathroom ironically, "Have a great day!" and she said "You toooo!" in a snotty, sarcastic voice. What a waste of time that was. Maybe I should move my prescriptions elsewhere so I won't be wasting any more of their valuable time. read more

Update: the corporate office wrote me an email to apologize and also offered me an $100 gift card for my troubles. I would still rather have paid the cost of the product and end up receiving my item but it is what it is. They also refunded me what I paid. Still annoyed but c'est la vie. This is more in regards to Walgreen online. They r the worst. Purchased an item online before Xmas (12/18) that is shown to be available online to be shipped within 2 business day. A month later and about 10+ calls to the customer service it has yet to be seen. Today after they told me via email two days ago it would arrive, I received another email stating that it's cancelled due to being out of stock! What a joke even yesterday when I checked online it was shown to be in stock. The customer service rep I talked to today said they just talked to the vendor ( online there was no mentioned of 3rd party vendor) yesterday and said it would shipped but now that's it's out of stock there's nothing they can do. What a scam! I didn't order from some unknown online site and there's no mention on their advertisement that item is from another vendor and now they are just blaming everything on a phantom 3rd party and saying that their hands are tied once the vendor cancels the order. Don't ever order from Walgreen online as clearly they have no idea what they r doing and will end up wasting your time listing products they even don't have. This is now my pharmacy after Walgreens made the bright idea decision to close the Lake City location. There is no drive-through and they are completely understaffed. I have been with this pharmacy for 7yrs and their service has gone deeply downhill in the past 4years. For about a year they had a pharmacist that tried to extend all of the controlled substances that have been prescribed for me several days pass the refill day! The labels on the drugs are misleading. They include the day you call to request refill on the label not the day they deign to fill it! So you can't figure out when it is legal to fill the scrip. THEY DO NOT HAVE DELIVERY!!! Do not let them tell you otherwise! They require that you CALL to refill controlled substances. They squabble continuously about refill dates. Had a script for a controlled substance. The date on the label states one date, the web site, for some reason, does not show the actual fill date on controlled substances. Each month I have to call to find out when I can fill it!!! They squabble more about the days. I have a controlled substance pill that can only be filled every 30 days. So you count the pick up date and go forward 30 days. But no, you can't pick up the scrip on the 30th day, they make you wait until the 31 st or 32nd day. Difference there is that months have a differing number of day but that really doesn't matter cause aren't they supposed to just count 30 day?? If you attempt to calmly try to explain it all to them they will continue to state that 32 days is the correct number and there is NOTHING you can do! I contacted the store manager and she fully backed the pharmacist before even being told the situation. I finally wrote corporate headquarters and the pharmacist eventually disappeared. There is never enough staff at the pharmacy resulting in long lines of 6-10 people! The staff are surly and the overall morale in the store is poor. Nary a smile to be seen. I have finally had it today! Attempted to fill a controlled substance two days before and they wouldn't do it. Our labels differed,of course! I called today and they will finally fill it! I get home from a long day of seeing patients and see a message that the scrip is ready. I am not hurrying too much as they are open till 9pm. I get there at 7:10 and they have posted a new sign that they now work only until 7:00pm! While they will inundate me with spam they don't consider sending an email about the changed hours!! I am done. I only stayed with them as they were close to me but I just don't need their aggravation, poor service, rudeness. Do not use this pharmacy. We used the Lake City store for years, but they closed the drive-through so we started going to Bartells in Lake City as it was a little closer. Then a week ago that Bartells closed down literally while I was picking up my prescription. The lights went out. I asked the pharmacist what we were supposed to do for all of our meds? He said Bartells had sold all of the accounts to the Walgreens on Northgate way. And we should go there for our pharmacy meds. They have yet to fill one rx and we've made 4 trips to pick it up waiting at least 25 minutes in a long line each time. I have no confidence in the short-staffed crew, pharmacists or management at this store. There is no respect for the customer and it feels like it's just about the buck. Went here to pick up an item that was out of stock at a closer Walgreens. I called the day before to put it on hold and said I would be coming today. Parking lot was a bit sketchy-like I had to decide who was safe to park beside. I went inside and a bossy employee was telling people to "stand over there" but very rudely, like a prison guard yelling at prisoners when there were only 2 of us in line. I asked about my item that was put on old and same bossy lady butt in and said that the item was put back b/c they don't hold items "that long". She refused to talk to me or make eye contact-she talked to the employee helping me. Do not go to this pharmacy. The lines are long (10 people to 15) and there is only one cashier to process the prescriptions. They are inconsistent with medication text notifications. When your Dr. orders a prescription, they say they did not get anything so you have to re-request your Dr. to send in the prescription again. If you don't want your mood to get bad, I suggest going to another pharmacy, because you waste SO MUCH TIME just to do a pick up at this Walgreens. read more

In general, I love Walgreens. The welcoming red light on the city corner. Where else can you buy a t-shirt, Hot Tamales candies, Rogaine, a toy, cat food and condoms and penicillin in one stop? But this location closes early, is short on merchandise (especially hair care products) and has the MOST ANNOYING checkers. One lady with a shrill baby voice who loves to squawk and bellow on the paging system and another adorable senior citizen who looks mystified at the scanner and takes roughly 28 seconds per scan. Worse yet on two occasions, they simply did not fill my prescription with no explanation as to why?? And last, no drive thru. Don't be makin' me walk, biatch. read more

The store it self and staff is friendly but the pharmacy staff has no friendly customer service skills .. Every six months I have to fight with them to take two coupons for a expensive medication I am on.. One is a manufacturer coupon from the actual prescription company the other is a discount coupon.. They always tell me they can't take both and I have to call corporate or wait till I go in a speak to someone who cares to try both .. And what do you know they work ! This time the Pharmacist refused to try both she said I can't use so again I have to call corporate and report my horrible situation Why do I continue to go to this horrible pharmacy? It's not right to drive to pick up your prescriptions with a sick feeling in your stomach knowing they might not honor any of them as many of the techs have attitude problems .. It's close to my home but I guess I am a glutton of punishment or have some other serious illness that keeps me coming here !! At least this time they sent my prescription to my doctor for a insurance override .. Usually I have try to explain to them insurance isn't covering my prescription it's the discounts as they can't figure that out and I just give up explaining as my insurance probably won't cover but trying to appeal .. I have been foolishly using this Particular Walgreens for a couple years now, it's only redeeming quality is the fact that it's close to my house, and 1 Pharmacist Tina is wonderful. If the rest of the pharmacy staff was as good and cared about their patients as Tina does this would be a 5 star review. I know Pharmacy Staff are often faced with impossible situations out their control due to laws, safety concerns, and unrealistic expectations of patients/customers. It is taking all of these factors into account that I write this review. For a reference for those of you that might read this and understand the limits & restrictions placed on Pharmacy Staff. As a patient/customer I see one doctor & one doctor only for highly regulated prescriptions, I have seen that practice since I was 2, I have been under the Monthly care of the same Doctor at that practice since 2006. This is important because it establishes a stable history for prescriptions, I get my scripts filled at the Walgreens whenever possible. One more then 5 occasions if pharmacist besides Tina has been working I have been outright lied to about having prescriptions called in, my doctor has had to make multiple calls to get a single prescription released a couple days early. Just last night I had someone try to pickup prescriptions for me. It was 30 minutes before closing and the pharmacy tech lied about the time needed to fill the scripts. I knew how late it was it was exactly the day the refills were due, the 2 scripts I needed filled were not new to me nor were they dose changes, it was the same script I have gotten for roughly a year. No extra time to verify the scripts was needed. I ended up having to go to the 24 hour Walgreens in Ballard which is massively busier and they filled the scripts in less then 30 minutes with no struggle, no lies about time needed. read more

The store was practically empty so I know the rudeness did not come from being overworked or something. The lady (dark hair) was very quick-tempered and seemed as if she was upset working today. This is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to. At minimum you will wait 20 minutes in line to pick up a prescription, every time. There are never enough workers and the ones that are there are so overworked that they are unkind and unhelpful. I've waited on hold for 30 minutes several times, just to have them hang up on me. It was hard to believe that on the year of 2017 a representative will treat a customer this way. All I wanted is to return a mattress my sister bought here. Didn't even open the box. This Walgreens should win some awards! Like: **Most disgruntled employees: This was pretty comical, as far as I'm concerned - pretty much like a reenactment of Dave Chappelle's Popcopy sketch. My "hi there" to one of the female clerks was completely ignored (well, she rolled her eyes at me, so actually she did acknowledge me). After I waited patiently for a couple minutes for her to stop yapping at a coworker, I was delighted to see the manager walking over, and (forgive my schadenfreude), couldn't wait to have him scold her for obviously failing to help me. Haha, joke was on me!! This manager was equally uninterested in helping me, although he did manage to listlessly point toward the general direction of what I needed (blank DVDs - how hard is that)? That poor man looked so downtrodden... who knows what was going on behind the scenes there. Maybe some terrible love triangle? **Most makeup worn by an employee at a non-strip venue: This same eye-rolling lady was wearing shockingly garish war paint. It's not like I was offended, I'm just surprised she gets away with that. Wait, no, I'm not surprised, I met her boss. Yeah those are the only awards I can think of. After seeing my doctor, I walked here with my dogs to fill my prescription. It's less than a mile one way. One stone, two birds! I filled my prescription and walked my dogs at the same time! I am a FAN!! Well, the Safeway, 1 minute away from where I live, told me not to bring my dogs! I understand! For health reason, it's not a good idea! Though, I should have told them they are therapy dogs (they heal my broken heart many many times, legit!) I was afraid Walgreens would give me that crap! But, hey, not bad! They were friendly with me and my dogs! The pharmacist even called them CUTE. I was able to get my antibiotic in 20 minutes. Prices are usually decent & I always manage to buy some other random snack crap I had no intention of buying when I entered the place. The practice I find most annoying at Walgreens is that their cashiers HAVE to offer you whatever "special" is at the counter ($3 for 3 snickers, $2 batteries, etc...) - totally awkward. read more

This particular Walgreens is very good. It's not too big that you're lost in it and not too small as to be cluttered. The pharmacy is nice and they employ a bunch of pharmacists who really know their trade! I usually ask a lot and they always have up-to-date, substantiated, referenced answers, even on cutting-edge medicines or devices. Their photo section is very professional--and convenient; I always use the app to order prints and go collect them right away. They have a good collection of soaps, I have to mention. They always seem to have some t-shirts for $2.99 near check-out, which are good for yard work. Ample parking is available and it's really easy to get to... right on Northgate Way. read more
