Came here last week after a recommendation from a good friend. The layout is open, it's a lot bigger inside than I thought. Huge bar in the middle of the room. There was a live band which was AWESOME. Staff was very attentive which is always a plus. They had a great Wine selection, my girlfriend and I shared a bottle. stopped in to see a friend perform on a Thursday night.. I spent $13 for Jack & Coke (served in an 8oz plastic cup) then got an $8 Corona.. (It's Patchogue, not NYC) my friend who was performing brought in a good number of people that spent some good $$$ on food, drinks and danced all night... a job well done!! At the end of the night, i was shocked to see the bartender (in front of the owner) gave him a bill for the 1 beer he had all night.. This restaurant is terrible. Waitress was confrontational and actually started to make fun of people at our table. Waited for drinks that were not what we ordered and when we spoke up about quality of drinks we were admonished. Food was terrible.... Seems like chef is inexperienced because food was cold and skimpy with portions. Outrageous prices for what we got.4% tacked on along with tacked on 20% tip on a 500 dollar bill was absolutely ridiculous. Staff was partying in parking lot when we left and people were all seated next to one another while whole restaurant was virtually empty. Everyone should avoid going here and if our night there is any indication, this restaurant should be closing soon. The decor is beautiful but the service and food were not. They were out of our wine, small selection by glass. Ordered calamari: tough and too much batter. Margarita pizza: good but spicy. Asked for red pepper and they bring a black pepper grinder. It is an Italian restaurant! We ordered 2 meals to go: rigatoni bolognese and spaghetti and meatballs. Neither were very authentic. This place has very nice decor and looks really good, but it's not. The server Lindsay was not a very good one. We had reservations to this place on a Saturday night and were seated right away. We had to ask for bread after noticing all the other tables had bread. This review has the one star just because of the rainbow cookie martini. I'm not a big drinker and actually kinda picky when it comes to alcohol but this was a fabulous drink! Before ordering it I had asked what alcohol was in just because some alcohol doesn't do well with me and she told me she cannot disclose what's in it. I think the martini could of presented itself better but it was still good. The food was very expensive for no reason. The food here is not to die for and honestly save your money and time trying this place. Lindsay doesn't know how to up sell at all. My sister was ordering appetizers (2) and as she said the last one which was lobster bisque she goes for your entree? And my sister said no. And she goes oh really? So we asked well how big is the soup and she goes not that big, so we were all confused as to why she would say that. Then proceeds to say so you also want an entree on top of that? The service here was excellent as well as the food. Unfortunately, when you book a private party here, I suggest you maybe record your interaction with the owner. Nothing like showing up & being told the restaurant was "overbooked" (we paid in full upon booking it) so they moved us to theai dining room & not the room we discussed. Also, the menu was different. We had to text the menu with his signature to him because he didn't make a note of it. Very unprofessional. Very clean modern atmosphere. Food for brunch thanksgiving and a party buffet diner all very good. It's nice that it is a family run restaurant. I was planning to have a wedding at Ristegio's on March 21st, 2020. I asked the restaurant many times if the wedding would need to be postponed because of the virus and I was told no that the wedding would still go on. Then on March 20th I got a email saying my wedding needed to be postponed. I explained to the associate at the restaurant that I would like a refund under the circumstances. I already got married at home and will not be looking to postpone. When I go to email/call the associate that I was working with he does not answer. The man answered one time and said he would have the owners of the restaurant give us a call back and it never happened. I am just looking for my refund. I made a reservation a week in advance for a Mother's Day Lunch. The food and service were less than stellar. I'm still in shock as I've been to this establishment several times. For a holiday weekend, I would have expected the service and the food to be top-notch. At first arrival, the host indicated we would have to be seated at the bar. I reinformed him I had a reservation and the bar would not suffice; so we were seated next to the bar. Next, I received a dirty water glass with lipstick still on the rim. Followed by lukewarm lobster bisque that was thick, and as fishy as the Atlantic Ocean. Our salads were fine and our main entrees weren't great either. Had dinner, drinks and live music here this past weekend. I have to say the food was absolutely amazing! My date and I ordered 3 different apps and they all were delicious! We had the seared tuna tataki, the baked clams, and the oysters Rockefeller Sambuca. All were excellent but I can't recall having better Oysters Rockefeller north of New Orleans! There were soooo good! My entree was the baked swordfish Santorini, with olives and roasted garlic and herbs served with spinach and lemon herb potatoes. It was absolutely excellent! And a large portion so I had another meal out of it a few days later. My date had the filet mignon with asparagus and mashed potatoes, which she loved. I truly believe the food was expertly prepared and absolutely top notch. We also loved the band (Streetfighter, the Stones tribute) and we're on the dance floor almost the entire night. I really would have given 5 stars except the service was spotty. Our waitress started out strong but eventually vanished for quite a while and we had to get additional drinks at the bar. Waitress mistakenly kept on delivering our food to the wrong table and when questioned about it, she lied right to our face and proceeded to deliver the same plate to us. I asked to speak to him , when I explained why I was wearing a plain black cap ,he stated he didn't care , again I said I had brain surgery,not only was he unsympathetic but he was plan rude , he acted as if his place was this high end establishment mind you it was not, 2 friends I met there stayed till they tried to finish there drink ! I say tried but did not finish after they saw a roach crawl across the bar! But hey you never know who aRe dealing with when it comes to the public , but being a voice on the radio I will be sure to let everyone know , how rude and disgusting and disrespectful the owner is . Not to mention there was about 30 people in there on a Saturday! I can tell you these are facts . I would not even give this 1 star . But I can assure you the board of health and the ADA will be contacted as well and that's do to the unaccommodating Valley service that tried to deny me a handicap spot that was available saying I did not look that I had a disability when I do have a disability that requires a handicap spot my question to them was since winter disabilities always a physical sign I mention that to the owner as well and his response was I don't care . Finally got a chance to go here with my wife and with some good friends who are also "foodies" and based on other's recommendations. It gets two stars , the decor and very friendly and attentive staff are 4 stars , now if the food was as good as they were it would be a 4star restaurant. Seems like they are not sure what they want this restaurant to be , is it a steak house ? Seafood ? Sushi place ? It does sushi pretty good but $20-$30 for certain rolls , sorry I will go to OKENO , Kotobuki or Aji53 if I want superb sushi. The baked clams special was bland and tasteless with no clams in it like it was right out of the freezer from Restuarant Depot or Costco with a lot of breaking. The bread at the table was also of poor quality. Now to the steaks we had the KC Black Angus bone - in Strip steak and two 24 oz porterhouse . Both were cooked to order but had no taste and were very dry no juices ( shine as Peter Luger's would say). Not worth the $36-48 per person at all and seemed like they were right out of Restuarant Depot or JKings food catalogue. Honestly I cook a better more flavorful steak on the BBQ. The creamed spinach was also very salty and seemed to not be freshly made. The fries were good but not great. One of our friends had the salmon , again was good and not worth the price for what you get. The deserts were excellent and would give them 4 stars for that so if you wanted to go for maybe a sushi roll or two, salad and some desert by all means head there. The bar area at night had some live entertainment and was very lively with the late 30's-40 something divorcee crowd from the area. The place has potential but needs to step up their game especially with the prices they are charging in Patchogue or the novelty of being new will soon wear off. Save your money and stick with basics here not worth the $369 for 4 people , but was happy to leave an $80tip as the wait staff as they deserved it. I think what separates good restaurants from great ones is all in the details and, in the vast dining-desert that exists in central Suffolk County, this place is a gem. To start; the waitstaff is well-trained and professional - attentive, but not hovering. You would think that opening week would have a few bumps, but not this crew. Service was flawless and it's as if they'd been working together for months...The bar order; a pinot grigio and a Manhattan (up), were spot on, tasty and set the pace for a really enjoyable dinner. We chose as appetizers the Oven Roasted Shrimp and the 112 Roll (having learned from my Blackstone Steakhouse days, I had high expectations from their sushi / raw bar), neither one disappointed. The shrimp were plump and fresh served in a garlicky sauce worth savoring and the spicy crunchy crab roll was one of the best I've had in a long time (along with the hallmarked flatware, the individual soy sauce containers are a nice touch and one of many fine details ). We selected the Braised Short Ribs and Marinated Denver Sirloin as Entrees, both very happy choices. The sirloin was cooked to perfection (rare) and the short ribs, with a merlot jus, was...well, sheer comfort food to me. Great execution. How happy was I with the dinner? Well, I'm not really a dessert-kind of guy (Ferrara's on Mulberry St. NYC is my Mecca), but I had to press my luck. We ordered the Cheesecake and a Molten Chocolate Cake. Damn...we ate good. According to our server, everything is made in house and obviously deserts get the same attention as do the the rest of the experience. If you've got room, you may not want to miss desert here...yeah, that good. My only con? Okay, this is going to sound really, really petty, but the restrooms have hand dryers, not paper towels. I'm all for saving the planet and all, but since most napkins and hand towels are by-products of the sugar caning process anyway, I prefer them over that loud whooshing sound of a dryer any day. For the amount of money paid, this was unacceptable. Save your money, time and calories. Don't go here. For an explanation, continue on. Food: The appetizers, while small, were good. But my shrimp came with couscous that had parmesan and I don't like cheese with my seafood. It just tasted off. For my friends who got steaks, their sides didn't come out until we were half way into our entrees. Service: The service was really bad. We had two waiters and neither seemed like they wanted to help us. It took awhile for anyone to notice all our food hadn't came out together. Drinks stayed empty for some time and it look long once the drink was ordered. If anything, the bad service was at least consistent, because no one thought about brining us our check until some of us stood up to go to the bathroom. Valet: We stood online with our tickets out and were ignored. It wasn't until someone else walked past us and went directly up to the valet that I realized I would have to ask for my ticket to be taken. But the service was horrible we were a large party and it seemed only one server was assigned to us salads were forgotten for half the people wrong salads were delivered NO ONE came back to the table to catch on us. I had eating here a couple of times and one new year's eve and had been very good. The outside patio and bar are a great place to eat and listen to really nice music. Food was really good the lobster bisque was amazing so were the crab cakes. Didn't care much for the avocado fries but everyone else loved them. If you are going to be drinking beer and cocktails your bill can really add up. We decided on bottles of white wine instead and it was reasonable. Really enjoy the crow since it was mostly 45+ . Not quite sure what the thought process was with investing so much money on a place like this in the South Medford, North Patchogue area. This is mostly blue collar workers. Cannot imagine much return business after the first visit. I paid $36 for the bone in Ribeye on special. I do not mind spending as much as $50 as long as it is worth it. This was the sorriest looking piece of steak. It was less than 1 inch thick with zero marbleization. It had zero flavor. I have seen better steaks at a buffett in Vegas. If you are charging $36 for a steak in this area it should be at least 2 inches thick and tasty. A better cut than they offered. The asparagus was pencil thin. My total check was $85 with tax and gratuity. My girlfriend only had a salad and we had no alcohol. Sorry way too much when I have hundreds of other choices on LI. read more

So we originally came here when this restaurant opened and had a nice evening. We came back (now two years later) and I have to say, we had the strangest and most uncomfortable service EVER. The menu is nice, but not too many options for the health conscious. Place is big and beautiful. The hostesses were super sweet and seated us immediately-we requested the back room because the main room was loud and vibrant and we were looking to talk. We were greeted by the worst/most odd server ever. He seriously stalked us the whole dinner, coming to take off a piece of food on the table-or my chopsticks wrapper. Anyway-he told us the specials and we could barely understand him because of his extremely heavy accent-and he was also making weird comments-like trying to be funny but he wasn't. The food was actually pretty good. The seaweed salad was a little over dressed but the sushi (ocean naruto was a five star roll). My husbands short ribs were a little too fatty but the sweet potatoes were outrageous. Now for the weirdest part-the bill came and it was $91. We gave him a credit card and a $100 bill. We said put $50 on the card and give us $40 change. He came back and waited for us like where is my tip?? I said-were all set and he said he didn't understand. So I wrote it out for him. Honestly we were looking to have a nice relaxing night and instead we were rushed, (I mean he asked us five times if we were ready to order and just walked back and forth the whole Night) and stalked and basically pushed out of the restaurant because we were so uncomfortable. Well, It was "O-kay". Was I blown away? No, not so much. I will say the interior of that place is really well done. Excellent decor. But the reason we all go to these places is for a nice night out, Or maybe you're trying to impress someone. I didn't like the fact the valet attendant stalled my car out twice. I had asked if I could park it myself, that I'd even tip them for their trouble. They didn't allow it.. They insisted on handling it themselves. The food is good, however it didn't impress me to much. I felt like I paid top dollar for home style cooking, with "flare" Would I go back? Yes, I think it deserves another try. The bar is big and elegant with a really cool lighting feature overhead. It's gorgeous. Impressive place to take a date for a drink. Service was fast and friendly. We had a 6:00 reservation so there weren't too many diners and more than enough staff. In fact, we seemed to have two servers--one for drinks and one for food--which was a little confusing to be honest. I'm rooting for this place, I really am. I want to see them succeed, but to do that, I think they need to change their menu a bit. Unfortunately nothing we had would make us come back. My husband had the bolognese, which he really liked. I had fried artichoke hearts, which were tasty, a special BLT salad with really thick bacon which was tough and not very flavorful at all and a margherita flatbread which was just ok. I ate here for the second time last Friday and the experience confirmed my initial perception: best food on Long Island. I grew up in Patchogue-Medford so when I heard Ristegios opened on 112 I initially thought it was a strange location for this type of restaurant. The first time I went there was during the week a few months ago and there weren't many people, but the food was incredible. I tried it again on Friday night and it was PACKED (glad we made reservations and were sat immediately). This is now my favorite restaurant on the Island and it seems others are starting to share my sentiment. I have eaten at many nice restaurants and the food here is by far the best I've had. The people I have gone with all decided to share our food so we can all try a little of everything and each dish I've sampled has beem amazing. As for the appetizers, the mac and cheese, crab cakes, muscles (best I've EVER had - they were marinated in some sort of chili sauce), and lobster bisque were all fantastic. Dinners: seabass, scallops, tuna, short rib, duck, and sirloin again were all fantastic. For the desserts - none of us wanted them to end! The mousse dome, peanut butter bar, and cheesecake are MUSTS! I highly recommend this restuarant to EVERYONE and it has now become my go-to for all occassions. read more

Restaurant provides a nicely varied menu. Something for everyone and good for when you have multiple people in your party who all would like something different. Steaks, sushi, pasta, fish. Etc. While waiting to be served and after being seated, I couldn't help but notice that the service seemed like they were stepping on each other's feet. Quite a few times I saw the wait staff physically running into each other while serving other tables and running around. There didn't seem to be an assigned waiter to each table, there were two. You'd think that's a good thing, but I saw a few times when follow up should have happened and it wasn't. I had to stop one of them and ask for them to take our drink order or actual dinner order. It wasn't impatience on my part, because I waited for a while. Overall it was a good expierence for a busy Saturday night, but it could have been better.
