Approximately 19 of my friends gathered at Ristegios Restaurant. The band, Soul Jam Review, entertained us with classic soul music from the 70s and 80s. Their performance was so engaging that the crowd remained on the dance floor, dancing until the very end of the night. The food was acceptable, and the drinks were satisfactory. I would only consider going back if a good band is performing. Ristegios isn't a place I would recommend for someone looking to dine on a typical evening. The ambiance and decor are quite appealing for a large gathering, but parking was insufficient for a fully packed restaurant. Overall, I had a great time.

We have lived 5mins from here for almost 5 years and this is first time eating here and will be our last. Problem after problem here....the main issue here is bugs in the drinks! My husband had a margarita and after drinking half of it noticed a bug in it. After speaking with the manager/owner, he himself went to get a new margarita. After drinking a few sips he noticed ANOTHER bug in his drink! The very one the owner brought to him. He took a photo. When confronted the owner said it was the first drink. No...it was the second drink with a bug! Not to mention, the servers were inexperienced and twice spilled our food onto the table as they were serving it. My own dinner was spilled all over the table when it was being served. They had to remake my dinner and I waited for it while rest of the table ate. The service was super slow and inexperienced. It was a bunch of kids mostly who didn't seem to know what they were doing. God knows what else is lurking in the kitchen if there were 2 drinks with bugs in them. Who knows what else was in our other drinks/food.

Burrata app on underripe,hard tomato.

My date made reservations for Valentine's Day. 6:15 so we wouldn't have to wait. Well, the place was mostly empty but we were asked to wait at the bar for 10-15 minutes. When our table was ready, it wasn't in one of the dining areas even thought they were many, many open tables. Nope, we were seated alongside the bar at a high top table. Ugh. You don't make reservations for this. The staff was mostly clueless and pretty confused. So many staff came to our table but it was nobody's job to refill a water glass. Other tables food was brought to us and someone asked who ordered the chicken francaise when we both did. Lol. The food was very underwhelming. $75pp price fixe. My burrata appetizer was served atop a hard underripe tomato. My dates baked clams looked super wet and soggy. My chicken francaise was basically tasteless (the linguine was cooked perfectly al dente). My date tried to cover his in salt. The place never came close to capacity but they kept up their "wait at the bar" tactic to get patrons to pay a bar tab as well. Shame on you Ristegio's, even making a young couple with a toddler and infant wait at the bar. At one point there were so many people waiting for their table that the bar was overfilled while dining tables sat empty. A live band was warming up and sending screeching noises through the restaurant as the overhead music was already too loud. My date and I abandoned the idea of conversation. At a certain point he just wanted to leave. The desert was described as chocolate lava cake but was doused in raspberry sauce. I'm allergic to raspberries. Nothing on the menu mentioned raspberry so this was disappointing. My dates cheesecake was served on a very warm plate. Very odd. This place should just be a bar since that's where they want to herd people and they have no business making or serving food. Needless to say, I'll never go back.

I went just before things got bad enough to close indoor dining. The place seemed really busy. They made use of their outdoor space, for dining, of course and they had live music to boot. Indoors, I wish they would've used all of the space available to them to separate diners from each other. They put all the diners in one section of the restaurant and left the rest empty. That seemed a little illogical to me. Distance everyone as far as possible. That might actually make things quieter (not that I had any issue with ambient noise). The food was great and [Instagram] picturesque. I recall having the fish and it was pretty solid. The menu itself is pretty wide-ranging and included sushi rolls. So don't be confused by the name it's not just Italian or American foods. This place probably a restaurant that you'd have to visit multiple times to get a true gauge of the strengths of its menu. The place has the right architecture, beautiful clean decor, plenty of space etc. but the way it's used could use some adjusting. You should go but be ready to ask for adjustments when you arrive.

We went to Ristegio's for my birthday dinner with a bunch of friends. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is fun to have drinks and dance with friends. The food is fine, not spectacular but the wait staff was very attentive and timely. If they brought in a fabulous chef I think the place could probably be a gold mine. Overall, fun for drinks and cocktails with close friends.

From what I heard is that it is also newly renovated. It was a nice, open and airy catering hall. We waited on line for a short period of time before being seated for the Disney Princess Brunch we previously purchased tickets for. Part of our ticket included one brunch item of their menu. On the Brunch menu there was a panini, a salad, Eggs Benedict and Chicken and Waffles. I chose the panini which was grilled chicken with honey mustard. Children under 3 were free and all children were to eat from the buffet which included chicken fingers, waffles, and French fries. All the food was tasty and was of decent quality. While the fed the children quickly, which is much appreciated, our food came out at the very end of the program. I needed to leave early because the baby needed a nap asap. All in all I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was and how nice the place was as well. I wouldn't mind coming back here for a special occasion.

The space itself looks nice at first glance, with an elegant setup that gives the impression of a well-run, upscale place. Unfortunately, that impression falls apart pretty quickly once you actually sit down. The menu was not very appealing and felt shockingly uninspired for a venue that hosts weddings and formal events. Nothing stood out, and the options felt lazy rather than thoughtfully curated. The food itself was subpar at best--bland, forgettable, and nowhere near the quality you'd expect from a place trusted to cater important life events. The guest WiFi system didn't work at all, which is embarrassing for an event venue that likely hosts long gatherings, meetings, and celebrations. If you're going to advertise WiFi, the bare minimum is making sure it actually functions. The cappuccino situation was the final straw. The machine wasn't turned on because a worker forgot. That's not a complicated issue--it's basic competence. For a place trying to pass itself off as polished and professional, this kind of oversight is unacceptable. Overall, despite the nice appearance, the experience just wasn't pleasant. The unappealing menu, mediocre food, broken guest WiFi, and careless service made it clear that this venue prioritizes looks over execution. If this is how they handle regular service, I'd seriously question trusting them with a wedding or special event. I personally wouldn't recommend. The other venues offer a much better experience for around the same price.

Our wait staff was nothing but kind and patient with our moderately large party and checked up on us without being overbearing. Ambiance is very cool, and definitely leans into its classic and nostalgic feel of its name, but not in a campy way. If you bring a date here, they would be impressed by the nice tile and wooden features alone, but it's the food that is really going to blow them away, but we will get to that next. The menu and cocktails do rotate seasonally a bit, so your experience may vary on availability for some items, but if you come back often enough (and spoiler, you will want to), you'll see them comeback! We started with Caesar salad, calamari, and Korean fried wings with the easy standout being the fried wings, a bit spicy but delicious but buyer beware they are messy (don't worry though, they give you moist towelettes to clean yourself off), calamari was cooked exactly how it needed to be and not rubbery, and the Caesar salad was as good as I've had it anywhere (although there's was made with tahini, giving it a little sesame flair). For mains, we had a pesto pasta, steak frites with an au poivre sauce, with sides of jersey asparagus and mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked just right and I'd dip almost anything in that sauce, and the pesto pasta was a nice lighter and herby balance to the meal. Fries were perfectly crisp shoestring style and the other end of the potato spectrum was the delightfully smooth mashed potatoes and gravy. Asparagus has always been my favorite green, and adding a cream sauce with bacon only makes this version of it that much more enticing. Capping off with dessert, we had the chocolate Basque cheesecake, a brown sugar pie, and a pistachio cake. Choosing a favorite out of these is like choosing a favorite child I'm sure, but I am still craving more of that cheesecake, RUN do not walk to get that at the very least. Parking can be crazy in patchogue, there is a small attached lot and some street parking, but I'd advise using one of the municipal lots nearby and walking a little bit for your own sanity. One of my favorite dining experiences in patchogue to date, and will be happy to comeback here to try more of the menu for any occasion!

There's a rotating list of cocktails as well as the staples. Last time I got a potato chip martini of sorts, because why not, and it was actually super tasty! Brunch is also a good time to come with a limited menu so you're not overwhelmed with a little of everything on it. I tried the salmon caesear salad which was light with a nice dressing. We also tried the pancakes which were fluffy and delicious, as well as the steak and eggs (can't go wrong). Bottomless mimosas are also offered for $25 additional. I can't wait to do lunch/dinner here in the future.
