Top Tier Shower Remodel Experience! We recently hired the RISE/MUSK construction team to handle a complete remodel of our master shower, and we couldn't be more impressed with the results. From the initial demolition to the final tile grout, the entire experience was seamless, professional, and stress-free. The quality of the craftsmanship is top-tier. They handled everything (demo, plumbing, waterproofing, and intricate tile work) with incredible attention to detail. Perhaps most importantly, the project passed every inspection with flying colors. The shower door installer from a separate shower door company complimented RISE (Erick specifically) on the high quality of the behind-the-wall work, which gave us immense peace of mind. What truly sets this company apart is their communication. We were never left wondering what was happening next. They provided daily updates, explained every step of the process, and ensured we understood the timeline. If there was a minor adjustment needed, they discussed it with us immediately rather than making assumptions. Home renovations can be unpredictable and stressful, but this team was incredibly flexible. They worked around our schedule and they treated our home with the utmost respect, maintaining a clean workspace and minimizing the "construction chaos" as much as possible. Beyond their technical skills, every person who entered our home was exceptionally kind and considerate. It can be intrusive to have a crew in your personal space for days/weeks, but this team felt like a breath of fresh air. They (especially Erick who worked tirelessly every day) were polite, mindful and genuinely pleasant to have around. If you're looking for a company that combines master-level technical skill with outstanding customer service, look no further. Our new shower is beautiful, functional, and built to last. We will definitely be referring them to others and using them for future projects! read more

I first met Steve at the Santa Clara Home Show, where his booth really stood out. The display immediately caught my eye, and I appreciated that the pricing was clear and straightforward. Steve was genuine from the start, and he always arrived on time whenever he came to provide estimates. The company is also very transparent about everything, which gave me a lot of confidence in working with them. This company is truly top-notch and, most importantly, honest, something that can be hard to find in this industry. I was initially skeptical because I had never had such a positive experience with contractors before, especially when it comes to attention to detail, doing the job right, and maintaining constant communication throughout the process. Musk Construction completely exceeded my expectations. I first tested the waters by renovating the half bathroom, and the team Nick and Adam, brought my vision to life beautifully. They didn't just follow instructions, they collaborated with me, and the process truly felt like a team effort. Because of the trust they built, I confidently moved forward with renovating the other two bathrooms as well. It's really challenging to find contractors who not only do the job right but also have the vision to offer suggestions and creative ideas. Project manager, David, was especially helpful in solving the biggest design challenge I had with the vanity, and his input made a huge difference in the final result. Even though a different crew worked on the other bathrooms, the level of professionalism remained outstanding. Serhii worked on two of the full bathrooms and maintained excellent communication and once again turned my design vision into reality. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, with the true eye of a designer. He constantly go out of his way to make things look even better than I envisioned. It's rare to find someone so confident and skilled who truly knows their craft. His expertise and design sensibility are exceptional. When I finally saw the finished bathroom, I was so moved I almost cried. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and care they put into their work are simply incredible. I highly recommend Musk Construction to anyone looking for a company that is professional, trustworthy, and truly committed to delivering exceptional results. read more

After charging me $6,000 over the estimate to rewire the kitchen this is what I found. The rewire only somethings and connected new wire to old 30 year old wire. I have picture. As I am do another remodel in the bathrooms the electrician found that only about 1/2 the kitchen was rewired and done poorly, boxes not covered and not secured. Never work with them again. That was just the problems with the wiring. read more

The only positive part of my experience with Musk Construction was working with Anthony, the project manager. He genuinely cared and consistently pushed the project forward. Without him, I'm not convinced my very expensive kitchen remodel would have been completed at all. Unfortunately, the rest of the team showed little interest or accountability. Now that Anthony has left the company, there is no one I trust to follow up on the work--even though they advertise a one-year warranty. In practice, there's no reliable point of contact. Despite the size and cost of my project, the owner, Steve, never met with me--not even once--when serious issues came up. The work quality was mediocre at best, and the overall attitude from the team suggested they were simply not invested in delivering a good outcome. I'm still in touch with Anthony, who continues to help me even though he no longer works there, which says a lot. I strongly recommend reconsidering before hiring this company. I wish I had. read more

Edit: after posting here, they sent two guys to debug the issue. They spent all day, and claim to have fixed the leak. The next day, someone came to patch the ceiling they cut and paint over it. I'm optimistic that it's fixed, but we won't know for sure until the rain season returns. I'm updating to 4 stars because they take responsibility, even though the initial plumber was incompetent. Problem after problem, dodging responsibility. There were so many problems with our remodel from 2022 that are still not fixed yet. Instead of exhaustively listing everything that went wrong, I'll just highlight one example: The vent leaks onto the floor below when it's raining, causing toxic mold. When I brought up the issue initially, they couldn't figure out why it was happening, but just patched up the drywall. Obviously, that didn't fix the issue so that when it rained again, it started to rot again. I've been trying to reach them to get it fixed, and it's been such a waste of time. I was so excited by what they promised--quick, easy, affordable--but completely disappointed by the reality. read more

I contracted with MUSK to complete a bathroom and kitchen remodel project in preparation for selling my house. The initial consultation was smooth and I liked the details provided. We moved forward and the design process was easy, even with a little bit on confusion on available options. Once started, both the bathroom and kitchen project were completed ahead of schedule (helped by the fact I was not living at the house and allowing the MUSK team to work late and on weekends). I appreciated that they put in the extra hours to complete it quickly. The projects were completed to satisfaction and as planned. Having priced the project with other general contractors, MUSK came in below average for project cost. They did a good job of staying within the budget and communicating when issues were discovered that required adjustments. I have already started working with them on adding a second bathroom to the house and will provide additional details once that project is complete. read more

Their team worked hard to get me and my family a functional kitchen by Christmas. Alex even worked on weekends to ensure our kitchen is functional by Christmas. I hired Musk construction to remodel my bathroom. I was really impressed by their team and final product delivered. The turn key solution of labor and materials worked best for me as I am a busy professional and I don't have time to shop around for materials. The whole process of getting the measurement, 3-d model of your bathroom along with choosing color combination was seamless. Once the design phase was completed, the demolition and installation process took 4 weeks which seems pretty okay. I wish things could have been faster here but the final product was amazing. The team of Vladi (sales representative), Dmitry and Ana are extremely professional and they communicate with you and share progress every day. I really enjoyed working with them and the constructor workers who worked on-site. I would recommend my friends for my bathroom remodeling needs. read more

Musk Construction just finished our custom bathroom remodel. It came out, absolutely beautiful! We went with the custom package and the team was very responsive and attentive. Eugene came to the site every day and was very knowledgeable. Vlad the tile expert tiled the shower with a custom bench and accent wall. The tile was done with mathematical precision. It's stunning. Sergey is the guy who can fix anything. He did our floor and laid down the heated flooring. Everything was done perfectly in 14 days. We highly recommend Musk. read more

Moved into my place last year and my bathrooms were old and unsafe. Found 4 potential options and did some research/bidding. I went with MUSK for the following reasons: - Low input from me. MUSK covers everything from measurements, design, demolition, sourcing/scheduling materials, installation to city permit clearing. - Team assigned with periodic updates. - Pretty good design packages and options, with some flexibilities to change I went with their design package to redo my bathrooms and also put in the backsplash in my kitchen. Here are my thoughts: - The Team work REALLY HARD. They put in extra hours over the weekend and some long evenings during the weekdays - They try their best to keep up with the timeline. There were a couple of delays during the project (one shower door was broken by accident - they cleaned it up but need to reorder, which took a week to arrive) - They also scheduled timely city inspections to eliminate unnecessary surprises - Similar to most of the contractors, they don't always show up on time (or occasionally, no show). - There were a couple of issues that I complained about and they sent me some wines after. They are overall fair. - You do need to let them know issues that really bother you. e.g. One shower glass door was installed upside down (logo was clearly seen) and I need to persuade them to fix it for a couple of times. - Their project coordinator is not the person who decides on the timeline. If there are last minute changes made by the project manager, you are not always notified or will be misinformed. - I do trust them with my house (my team were good overall). I sometimes would leave them alone working on the project. Overall, the project went very well. Within two months, my bathrooms were done and cleared with the city. The team were professional. They are not the cheapest option out there but they take care of everything. If you are busy and don't have time, they provide you with an all-in solution. That was what I needed, what I wanted and I got it. read more

Musk Construction did a great job renovating two old bathrooms for us. From the design, permitting and actual construction work they were always responsive with communication and worked collaboratively to resolve issues. I appreciated the attention to details and overall handiwork. They completed the project in a timely manner (about 7 weeks from beginning demolition to final inspection). My only feedback would be that many of the requirements I communicated during the sales process were not documented and recorded into the sales contract requiring several change orders to get all the features we wanted. It would have been nice to have these requirements documented from the very beginning. Other than that we are happy with the work and would work with them again. read more

We contacted several contractors about our remodeling, however we decided to go with MUSK not just because their reasonable cost but for its actitud, responsiveness and efficiency. From the first moment, they showed interest in our project, took measurements and pictures to help us with our first quote, they were clear about what they offered and were always open to hear about our expectations with the project. Our kitchen sure was a challenge for every party involved, we needed to do so many things onthe way since our apartment didn't meet some code requirements, therefore our project was lengthy. Nevertheless we overcame everything and by the time we fixed everything MUSK started with the kitchen and finished it really fast. I'll give 4 start to MUSK because of their notable communication and it's willingness to deal with help us in anything we asked for. Thank you MUSK read more

I've had 2 bathroom remodel projects with MUSK Construction so far, and they've both been amazing. For our most recent remodel, we had the kids bathroom redone. Vladi, Ana, Anthony, Eugene, Vlad, Patrick (and more) all provided amazing service throughout the process. Everyone that came onsite was reliable, careful, and friendly. Design - from the initial selection of the design and mockup, it went smoothly and took all our feedback into account. Price and materials - Price is very reasonable and what I'd expect for a remodel. The materials are great quality and reliable brands. Project work - they were able to start demolition and the remodel very quickly after finalizing design. The whole project took about 1 month. Throughout the process, they were very clean and careful with the rest of our house. Inspection - MUSK construction handled all of the process, and it was painless for me. After the project was complete, they checked up to make sure everything was working flawlessly. Hired Musk construction at the end of September for 2 bathroom remodel, and we are all done before Xmas hits! Pretty impressed with the speed and quality of work on their part. Even thou they offer mostly "turn-key" solutions, we did make a couple of modification which they handled very well. Remodeled 3 bathrooms with Musk Construction during May & June of 2021. From the first call, could immediately tell that Tony, Vladi, and Steve were polite, professional, and would be reachable throughout our entire project. This, plus the competitive pricing, helped us feel good about going with Musk. We did receive cheaper quotes elsewhere, but the professionalism & customer service did not compare with Musk's. For our master bathroom, Steve & his team built an entire wall and installed a barn door where there used to be empty space. For two other guest bathrooms, they installed new vanities and hardware. We provided our own refinishing materials. The team worked very fast, and was receptive to our ideas. Unfortunately, one of our vanity deliveries was delayed by 2 weeks. This ended up delaying the completion of our remodeling by almost a month. Communication got trickier during that time, as we'd be told that a worker would be onsite but then they'd never show up. If you're providing your own materials, I'd definitely recommend getting those delivery timelines absolutely confirmed. Thankfully, the delay wasn't too bad. In the end, Musk addressed & fixed every issue that they could. For example, when we were skeptical about the material quality of a piece of faucet pipe, they changed it the next day, without us asking for it! read more

Overall - I'd give a thumbs up Recommend giving MUSK construction a call for your bath remodel Pros: - they finished the work in less than 2 weeks. Well under the initial time promised - the design phase with viktoria was the smoothest with an output that showed us the finished product - plumbing team of 2, worked long hours to get things on track - back and forth responses were quick and help facilitate coordination when needed - workers were fast and efficient and good work - Demo was quick Cons: - there were a few misses along the way - paint color, entry door handles, glass door stop. They are being addressed - workers were multitasking multiple jobs and scheduling could have been smoother/ streamlined - an on-site manager to oversee the project daily, would have been helpful read more

We hired MUSK Construction for a large bathroom remodeling project. They did a good job all the way from a design phase to a project completion. In the design stage we were offered a 3D bathroom rendering. They made changes to the model until we were satisfied. A couple of weeks after the project had been completed and we have paid in full, I've noticed a little problem with the grout. Texted MUSK - they sent someone right away to fix it at no charge. In response to your response, you make it seem like we did not want our bathroom remodeled. We really do. You talk about how long it took for us to question the size of the tiles. We did not notice the size in the pictures until we saw the list of items to be used on the project. That is when we questioned the tile size. We looked back at the pictures at the point and noticed it was not one slab but small tiles. It was not anything where we had a motive to mess with your company. You tell how we did not respond to the offers to discuss the situation with Anthony and Dan, but we had been repeatedly lied to, why would we want to talk more, to hear more lies? We felt we could no longer trust you guys. You talk about a company policy we tried to break. That was the repayment of our fee. We had told Anthony we could only trust him if it was refunded so we were on even ground. We were looking for something to tell us you were serious about us. We noticed on the Yelp reviews that one review from Bernie L said he increased his rating because his fee was refunded. It seems strange that you are so concerned about the refund policy but you do not seem to have a policy about lying to your customers. It seems sad how you could question our integrity when your employee showed no integrity in dealing with us. I am not sure why you want to blame us. We are just asking you to do the right thing. read more

I am absolutely impressed by the dedication and quality of work done by Steve and his team! Since we had already burnt our fingers once with a very unprofessional contractor, we were very careful while picking another one. We met and interviewed nearly 15 contractors and waited 3 months in a half demolished house just to make sure we find the right guy this time. Our work included full flooring (1100 sq foot), two full bathroom, kitchen cabinets ( including corrections in the wall and countertops left behind by the previous contractor) and garage makeover along will small corrections here and there. Steve instantly impressed us! He is a very hard-working, accommodative, honest and professional human being. After we met and finalized him, we carefully went through each and every detail in the contract for hours and Steve the whole time was very understanding and cooperative. Steve's team including Stella, Max, Patrick, Alex and Eugene did a wonderful job and we were highly impressed by their team spirit! They worked long hours and did a wonderful job completely transforming our house. Whenever there were misses ( which are bound to happen when you are getting so much work done) Steve was always there to talk to us and meet us in person to make sure we were satisfied. I have no words to thank this guy for his patience and understanding during the whole time. I can confidently say were were not easy customers! Extremely reliable and trustworthy company and service!! We moved to the Bay Area a few months ago from out of state. Not only they were extremely upfront about every cost down to the penny but also provided the right advice and guidance through the process. Patching up the floor. 5. Reinforcing the roof support from the wall that was taken down Steve's rates were really competitive and he is a very honest, reliable person. We scheduled a date for the project and he arrived with his team on time. They were extremely clean and professional throughout the project. Patrick also worked for one full day and he is a perfectionist. They genuinely care for the project and ask for feedback wherever necessary.
