This is the third time I have used this company for a home improvement project, but the first review I have written, and they never fail to impress! They show up on time, explain exactly what needs to be done, and always quote a more than fair price. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable, with years of experience, and the quality of the work is excellent. They even call me the next day to make sure I'm 100% satisfied with the job that they did. Who could ask for more than that! read more

They did nice flooring and baseboard. They installed the sink and vanity. They fixed my leaky windows. They redid my sub floor. Very clean and professional workers. No gaps in the tile. Finished edges of vanity and toilet with caulking done right. Installed shower door without cracks. Was put in straight. Installed grab bars straight and nook for shampoo. Everything straight and square. read more

We had a full bathroom remodel, Shower, floors, Walls, Lighting, sink-vanity etc... They installed Quartz Slabs for our shower walls from Floor to celing! No more grout! The project had some delays as construction projects often do, but the Finished project was well worth the wait. The price was reasonable we plan to include them in bidding process for our other bathroom. Would reccommend to others read more

We had a very frustrating experience with this company and unfortunately cannot recommend them. What should have been a simple one-day door installation turned into a 13-day project filled with delays, poor communication, workmanship issues, and even a safety concern that left us uncomfortable in our own home and unable to use our infant son's nursery during that time. Timeline of events: Mon 2/16: Workers were scheduled for 9:30am but didn't arrive until after 1pm. They re-measured the frame, left to pick up doors (which we were told would already be ordered), and returned saying they were too large and needed shaving, pushing work to the next day. Tue 2/17: The worker arrived on time, but after installation we noticed cracks in the frame and a large gap between the doors where they barely latched. We reported it immediately and were told Alberto would come Thursday. Thu 2/19: Alberto worked all day and said there were finishing touches for Friday. We weren't thrilled with the result but were willing to move forward just to get our son's nursery functional again. Fri 2/20: Alberto admitted the installation had been done incorrectly and the damaged frame needed to be completely redone because the doors wouldn't work long term. While we appreciated the honesty, this reset the project timeline again. He said he'd return Saturday morning. Sat 2/21: At around 8:50am the appointment was rescheduled to Monday. Mon 2/23: We texted at 8:40am to confirm timing. Our message was read but not answered until 10:30am, and he didn't arrive until around 2pm due to another appointment. Tue 2/24: More frame work and putty were applied with instructions to allow a day to dry. Thu 2/26: Painters arrived as scheduled, but Alberto said he couldn't come until Friday and gave no clear arrival window. Fri 2/27: We asked for an ETA so we could plan around our 4-month-old's nap schedule. We were told 2pm, but the worker showed up at 1:15pm, waking the baby. He also didn't have proper tools and spent about five hours chiseling wood out of the door by hand just to get the bolts to fit. That same day we also experienced a serious safety concern. One worker used a metal circular saw indoors, sending sparks flying inside our home. When we raised concerns, the foreman dismissed it and incorrectly claimed sparks from cutting metal cannot start a fire. This got me mad and I did raise my voice. Instead of accountability, the conversation became defensive, including comments that they were "doing us a favor" fixing work we never requested- work that was only necessary because of the original installation mistakes. Our attempt to speak with Benny, the GC, was also frustrating. He repeatedly talked over us while saying he wanted to ensure we were happy, which felt disingenuous given the lack of listening or accountability. Sun 3/1: Alberto returned but left again for another three-hour stretch before finally coming back to complete the job. Nearly two weeks later, the doors were finally operational. Afterward we were told they were losing money because the project took longer and required redoing work. That is not the customer's responsibility. From day one we simply wanted the job done correctly. Throughout the process there were missed arrival windows, last-minute schedule changes, safety concerns, and little respect for our time or the disruption to our household. We also had to closely monitor workmanship due to frame damage and installation defects. I'm sure the company will respond, but everything described here is accurate and documented. This experience was exhausting and unnecessarily drawn out. If you value clear communication, punctuality, professionalism, and safe work practices done right the first time, I would strongly caution against using this company. read more

Benny has a wealth of knowledge from experience and a solid crew. He's a friendly guy. Due to unexpected termite damage, a window replacement turned into replacing a wall and a ceiling beam. I kept adding work and they kept doing it in different areas of the house, the guest room, kitchen, and entertainment room. Benny had good suggestions when choices could be made. The only issues were late documentation of some aspects of the remodel and classification of payments near the end of a half-year project. read more

Very slow, he cannot even find out from Google Map even after I gave him the address.

Ben There Remodeling saved me from tearing down my detached garage and building a new one. That could easily cost $50-100k. Benny responded quickly and identified minimal yet impactful repairs that would save the structure. The team came in removed all the rot in the panels and rafters, leaving the structure like new. After a new roof and fresh paint, I am proud to say my garage is practically brand new and it's going to last another 10-20yrs. I really have to say that the guys over at Ben There Remodeling really care about their craft. These repairs were done swiftly but also to great quality and attention to detail. Even cleanup was very thorough, all they left behind was spectacular work. I'm very pleased with the whole experience and my like-new garage. We're now looking into some improvements to the main house. I'm very confident they'll go just as well as our garage project. Thank you! read more

I want to share with you how extremely happy we are with our new kitchen. Kudos to Ben! You clearly went above and beyond! You constantly kept in contact with us from the beginning and after the completion of the project. You were gracious to work with and generous with your time. You brought your expertise and understanding to our project and our confusion. You worked with us in incorporating some of our ideas. You brought something else lacking with contractors today which are honesty, reliable and trustworthy! We are still over the moon about how our dream kitchen came together. This was a big step in our lives and we truly appreciate the efforts you made in answering all our questions in a timely fashion. read more

We used Ben There Remodeling for our Master Bathroom Remodel and it turned out beautifully. As first time home owners, we don't really know a lot about how things work, local codes, what looks good, etc. Fortunately, they helped us through every step of the way. You are going to get a team that will explain everything to you, stay in constant communication, and will even provide an interior designer to help you digitally build something so you know you'll love it before the work even starts. Everyone has to weigh their options carefully, but we are very happy that we chose Ben! read more

Ben There Remodeling did a smashing job on my new deck and arbor. Benny did a thorough analysis of the existing deck and arbor and offered sage suggestions on new designs for the replacement structures. He suggested that I use clear-heart redwood--which, though more expensive, produced a stunning deck. Construction began right before I had to leave town, so Benny graciously rescheduled the completion of the job for after my return. Benny's workers were diligent, friendly, and professional. All in all, a great job and I am extremely happy with the result! read more

I have a small townhome and needed both of my bathrooms upgraded. Ben was great. He also included a friend of mine who was helping me through this daunting process. Ben eased my concerns by being available to my questions and by being in constant communication regarding progress and hiccups. He was super easy to work with, even when my schedule was not as accommodating. Ben went above and beyond to provide a high quality solution for challenging situations like a vanity that didn't quite fit and bifold doors that were a bit non-traditional in use. I'm a practical and not showy type when it comes to the home. So simple and clean is what i needed with upgrades behind the scenes. The end result, cost and timing of completion hit the mark. Ben made this a comforting experience and I love the outcome. read more

It was a really great experience to working with this contractor. Ben and his crew remodeled our kitchen, it was a full remodel and they did a perfect job. My bathroom has been a disaster with the shower leaking and my husband and I struggled with a design that would fit both our needs and yet keep our small bathroom within its footprint and pricing. We also have two young kids and our focus and priorities are continually shifting. The Ben there remodeling team did a phenomenal job managing the design process from start to finish and staying on top of us without becoming visibly frustrated. I would highly recommend utilizing them to help design projects around your property. It was a nice experience. read more

We had our master bathroom remodeled in August/September of 2024. The work consisted of new water pipes (galvanized to copper), strengthened floor, new shower enclosure, new flooring, new vanity and medicine cabinet, re-textured and painted walls and ceiling, and installed new exhaust fans with timer switches in both bathrooms. Ben arrived when he said he would, and returned phone calls quickly. Ben also gave suggestions on how to make the bathroom better - many of which we accepted. Overall, the bathroom turned out great and we are very happy. Ben and his crew are fantastic to work with - easy to talk to, explained what was going on, and cleaned up every night before they left. We are very happy with Ben's work. read more

Ben was great. He promptly came over to look at my balcony and give me a quote. My balcony leaks into my garage and the stucco walls are old and need to be replaced. His crew is very respectful and perform professional work. Ben is transparent, honest and tells you what to expect, giving options and advice through out the process. The work was done in a timely fashion. The balcony looks great. No more leaks and we can hang out on the balcony, and enjoy the weather. I would recommend Ben and his crew. When I need more work done on my house, Ben will be the contractor I call to do the job. He is very knowledgeable with many years of experience. read more

Super shady. I sent a request for estimate and Benny R respond back with availability from 5am - 7am on a Tuesday. I responded with that's too early and Benny R responds with "Customer did not respond" followed with "I want a refund." Really unprofessional by all counts. I would caution against working with them based on this experience of trying to get an estimate. read more

Benny was very responsive. We initially were going to have the work done last year, but due to travel plans, we were unable to schedule it. So, this year, he gave us another reasonable quote, and the job was done in a little over 2 weeks. It involve tearing out and rebuilding the 2nd floor deck on the front of the house. I called Ben May 1st 2023 and scheduled a appointment for a kitchen remodel. We had agreed to meet with him May 4th 2023 at 10:00am. He calls me at 9:30am telling me he was going to get here at 11:30am and then send someone else at 2:00pm for the kitchen cabinet's, not taking any consideration that I may have other things to do or other contractors coming for another kitchen remodeling estimate. I told him I couldn't make both appointments because we had agreed to meet at 10:00am and I had another company coming at 11:30. He got bothered and told me just to call him when I wanted to make a appointment again. I told him it's not right that we had scheduled a time already at 10:00am and you decided you want to so up at 11:30am, and at 2:00pm interfering with me picking up my kids and my appointment with another contractor at 11:30am. I kindly told him that if we reschedule, I wanted to make sure that he keeps that time that we agreed, he became upset and told me look I don't need your business find somebody else. Ben is very unprofessional, and I would not recommend anybody to do any business with this man moving forward be careful . I'm so glad he will not be doing my kitchen remodeling moving forward. read more

The company did a great job with the bathroom remodel. My bathroom had not been changed since the condo was built in 1989, and it needed a complete makeover. Our words are everything in business. After a couple times speaking to Ben and building rapport- He told me he'd get back to me to give me a definite price, talk further on schedule and get things going. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. His lack of communication and inability to keep his word is unprofessional and will be a NO-GO for me. I wouldn't recommend his business. Latest update from his message: From sending you pictures, giving you measurements, talking about where you reside at, how often you work on your place at Etc... Ben......This will be the last conversation I have with you, I have moved on and hired someone already and for you to not remember within a 1-2 day span of conversation with your potential clients is unprofessional. Plain and simple, you said you'd get back to me with the information and we get it on the schedule, but you never did. I will politely decline the offer to call. The guy I spoke with seemed nice enough at the beginning when I called to ask him about doing a couple of simple tasks. We had new counter tops put in and needed someone to connect the drain pipe of the new sink, and connect three wires from the range top to the junction box. I would have done it myself, but I have a back that frequently gives me trouble and cannot spend time under the cabinets doing what needs to be done. The entire project shouldn't take more than a couple of hours if I were doing it, even less for someone who does this type of work for a living. He spoke with my wife and quoted her $350 for the work. I thought it was a bit high for such a small project, but okay, it would save me from possibly hurting my back. He called her back the next day while I was at work and told her that he had misquoted the job and it would be $500, and that it would have to be paid in cash. (red flag for me!) We found someone else (licensed and bonded) to do the job for $200. Needless to say, we didn't need Ben There to do the work for more than twice as much. I called him back to let him know that his price was way too high and he got rude, then hung up on me. Would I ever use his service or recommend him? I'd say that it is EXTREMELY unlikely. read more

I was planning to remodel my master bathroom and shower in October. I talked to several contractors that I found via Yelp. I needed the job to be finished within 8 days, but different contractors gave me varying time frames and estimates outside my budget. Finally and fortunately, I found Ben and gave him a call. He came quickly to see the bathroom and discuss the job and price. He promised to start the next day and finish in a timely manner. I am happy and lucky that I worked with him. He did a wonderful job and delivered on the promise he made to me. My bathroom looks gorgeous now. Thank you, Ben, for all your work. read more

Hired Benny to repair my Bay window after reading all the wonderful reviews. Now that my blood pressure has returned to somewhat normal... If you decide to hire him, BE SURE that the contract he writes spells out exactly what is to be done and that if there are any changes during the project, the contract needs to be rewritten. In my case his "labor only" contract included "removal and reinstallation" of the Bay window, "replacing the interior bench top and trim", and "replacing the exterior trim". ALL of which were not done or did not have to be done. This obviously reduced the amount of labor and material needed. When I asked, he absolutely refused to negotiate and charged the full original price, plus all the materials (you will be charged for every screw and nail his crew buys, and keeps everything leftover). I also had to finish sealing framework so it would be watertight. And finally, the only warranty for the work done was verbal. Nothing guaranteed. (My mistake) Not the "it will be beautiful" job he had me sign up for. But I will say his crew was hard working, professional and very courteous Very disappointed as I had hoped to hire him for two follow-up jobs that were worth a lot more. read more

I would surely recommend Ben to our friends.. He had great ideas. Most importantly he listens to your need and then gives his ideas.

We hired Benny to hel us update and remodel the guest bath in our parents home as we prepare the house for a rental property. They did a fabulous job. We are very pleased. Benny was upfront and fair on cost of materials and I feel he gave us a fair price. His guys showed up on time, were neat and very respectful of our home. He and his crew are really great. We hired him to install a clean out drain too. We will hire him again in the future when its time to remodel the master bath. I highly recommend Benny Rodriquez. read more

I spoke with Ben several times on my bathroom floor replacement project. The main problem with this guy is that he will tell you what he will do, and, he will promise to call you and then not do so. He strung me along for a week with daily callbacks, and promises to come out and see the project, give me an estimate, and get started. He never ONCE called back when he promised he would, and then when I left a message, he did not even have the courtesy to call me back. To add to this, when a good contractor did come out to estimate the project, I presented some of the procedures that Ben had suggested for the repair. He informed me that these are the types of things that bad contractors do to take "short cuts" and he has had to repair these types of things plenty of times. I would not in any way shape or form recommend this guy and would recommend you to pass over him and go to someone professional and competent that does NOT cut corners. read more
