Greystar is the most incompetent company I have every dealt with. Greystar does not care about their tenants safety or happiness. All they care about is collecting their checks. I will be taking Greystar to small claims court to recover my deposit because I refuse to let them steal from me. read more

I was going to move in here but due to unforeseen circumstances I could not. I paid a $250 reservation fee to reserve and unit and once informed Simon from the leasing office he said he will give me a refund for the $250 and it will take 2-3 weeks. 1. I don't know why a simple refund will take 2-3 weeks. It's usually 3-5 business days. 2. After 2-3 weeks I kept contacting Simon and he finally responded saying "check got lost in the mail" 3. Why are you sending me a check when I paid with card? Simply put the money back? Nevertheless, where were you going to send my refund check to if you don't have my current mailing address? 4. I've asked several time as to why it's a refund check and simply not a refund to my bank and all I got was "it's processed by corporate" Simon says I have to wait yet another 2-3 weeks to get my refund. So, I basically have to wait a good 2 months to receive $250 refund. I definitely dodged a bullet here. My other friend who also reserved a unit for $250 and ended up not moving there, she was initially denied the refund. And once my friend told the staff in the leasing office that I was going to get my refund they all of a sudden had no problem giving her a refund. Oh, and both of us still have not received our money. This place is a scam! Watch out! read more

I am happy to no longer be living at Jefferson rise. The high cost of of living did not match the low quality facility and poor management experience. I moved out of my apartment on 11/15/21. My partner and I have been trying to recover our security deposit since mid December. We have followed up multiple times a week for months with no resolution. Jefferson rise management is not interested in managing the facility, only collecting rent. Their incompetent staff has been unable to get us our security deposit refund despite months of unfulfilled promises. Do yourself a favor and avoid all Greystar managed properties. read more

Being in another state I thought the process was going to be a hassle and we were worried on how we were going to be able to view the apt. This is a 0 star if I was able to. I live there for over 1.5 years, the management is THE worst you can ever imagine. They are terrible at their job, and there's basically no management at all. I guess they don't do anything other than trying to sell the apartments, and then their job is done. They don't respond to any of my emails, you can keep following up with them and you will get nothing. I actually moved out at the end of last year, I gave them 30-day notice, they never responded, took me 5 followups for them to just sent over a form to fill out, and once I did that, they went radio silent on me again. I was so lost on what other steps I need to follow to move out, and after tons of follow-up, calling, and trying to visit the leasing office, I finally got hold of a leasing agent, and she just said you're all good, just move out, management will contact you witn 21 days. I did that, moved out by 12/30/2021, and i didn't receive anything, no contact at all. But I got billed for Jan and Feb 2022 rent. I tried to ask the management and so far, I followed up with 10 emails already and calls, and no response yet. NOTHING, with just a bill of over 7k $ after I legitmately moved out. Save your self time and money, and I beg you not to consider this place. If management is looking at the review, would you please get back to me on my emails and followups after I move out? My kids and I moved in almost 2 weeks ago . Everyone I've ran into have been friendly. Gorman gave us a tour and he was amazing !!! Very professional, very informative and answered all my questions ( and boy I had alot ) and always available. . I had an issue with an outlet that didn't work, put in a maintenance request and within 1 day someone came to look at it , turned out there wasn't an issue I just needed to turn on a switch . This is an update to my first review because I have moved in as of Monday 3/16/20, when i came in to get my keys everything was a very smooth Simon once again made the process so easy and stress free. It was raining and I had a pretty large uhual and I was immediately introduced to Ben the maintenance manager, he was so sweet and polite and immediately helped me get my uhual as close as I could to the park structure to avoid getting my furniture wet and to have a shorter walk/move into my unit. Ben made me feel extremely welcomed to the community he made every possible accommodation for me to have the easiest move possible aside from the rain and stress that comes with moving. After finally unloading all of my belongings, Ben came to do the walk through/inspection of my unit and he was so detailed and patient with showing me all the different switches and explaining how everything worked from my ac, heater, lights, dimmers the list goes on and on. My fridge is very close to the wall and its slightly difficult to open the freezer and he immediately addressed the issue and was so kind to even moved the fridge over on the spot so i could have a little more room. His presence is amazing! I have never met someone so friendly, caring and overall just sweet. I then had some difficulty hanging my tv because I could not find the correct part of the wall to hang it, and he went completely above and beyond his duties to assist me in finding it and showing me where it should be and taking the own time out of his day to make sure I was comfortable and happy and had everything I needed in my new home. Ben is amazing! Such a great man and has already helped me immensely in just the first two days I have lived here. Thanks to Ben and Simon I have had the best experience of my life moving into a new apartment. I have lived in apartments in rancho cucamonga, san bernardino, los angeles, inglewood, sherman oaks, ive pretty much been everywhere and never have I been assisted and treated with such care and support like I have here at the Jefferson Rise. I have met other staff members here as well and they have all been so professional and helpful as well. I truly can not thank you all enough! This place feels like home already, especially now that my tv is up and running thanks to Ben. Something as simple as my remote batteries being low/dead, he went and came back with some batteries for me. If that's not going above and beyond and top notch customer service then I don't know what is. Ben has made me feel comfortable and safe in my new home. I just wanted everyone to know this prior to moving in! You will be treated like a king or queen here, they really care about their residents and they are on it! within minutes you issues are solved, your questions are answered, your problems disappear. Just had an amazing experience that came out of an unfortunate problem. Water started leaking into my bedroom and I made a call to maintenance. David came over right away and addressed the problem. Fixed the leak from the outside and left an industrial fan overnight to make sure all of the moisture was removed from my bedroom properly. Dominique at the front desk has been great, shes helped us through out our whole move and has been quick to solve our problems! we are on our 3rd day here and we hear some pups barking in certain areas but its no bother, this place is clean, we have seen the cleaning lady cleaning general areas every day, our service requests are being attended to, so far everything is great. I first visited Jefferson Rise about 3 weeks ago when I first began apartment hunting in the OC area. After visiting multiple complexes, my boyfriend and I retuned the the Jefferson Rise. Kyla had originally helped us tour the apartment and she was wonderful. She lead us through the unique floor plans and amenities that the building offers; informed us about the surrounding area; and made sure to keep in touch. Ultimately, we settled on the A7 Floor-plan unit because of its unique one bedroom design. If it's available, I suggest you look into it. We were looking to immediately move in, but Kyla had informed us that the floor plan that satisfied our spacious needs would soon be available. We were happy to apply for a lease at this location and look forward to living in it. read more

I've live here for 3 months after 3 months of living here I've had issues right and left. My hot water doesn't work hasn't work for a 2 weeks. I told them it's not properly right to wait 30 minutes for hot water. The management here is terrible. Maintenance team are a bunch of con artist who lies about the truth. This place is a joke charging 3 grand for WHAT? I've request a transfer to another complex they own in another city they charging me 6 grand. There crazy if they think I'll pay that. Don't believe the bs 5 star reviews. It's all a marketing strategy for the company. Unless you miss the party college dorm life this place might be the one for you. Pros: You get a small wine fridge in the unit if it comes with it, package delivery notification is great, I-5 freeway "carpool only" access really close by. Cons: parking assignment doesn't make any sense if you have 2 vehicles, place is loud can also hear everything from what your neighbors are doing which i don't want to go into detail, pest issue, unresponsive leasing office, place is dangerous at night, trash chute room has a lot of trash piled up not thrown out, ppl/teenage kids drifting or showing off their shitty loud car engines in the parking lot, lot of random guests or people pulling into the garage parking, the often random fire alarms, large packages that doesn't fit into the locker is just left out in the mailroom which is probably why ppl steal packages and way overpriced for the place. read more

I lived here for 1 year in the parking is terrible..the manger Lesley doesn't not do her job correctly.They never clean the building the elevators are nasty.the security is our trash.the maintenance never come tell 2months to fix something. They said the pool was heated that was a lie never was heated for the whole year I was there ..people with there dog just let them pee in the elevator .they never clean the windows fingerprints every where ..they need a new manger 1st then new maintenance crew, and security..I do not recommend anyone to come stay here they route the staff in the office Lesley is never in the office. they only gave you two days late for your rent is just not a great place to stay. people drive so fast around the circle to get up to the elevator. You have to watch your kids from getting hit by a car they have a fire that are hit in broke all throughout the building... read more

There has been some management changes over the last few months, but working with Anthony in the leasing office has been a great experience. He's quick to work on a solution, follows up so you're not left hanging, and is so easy to communicate with. There's a lot of options in area and after a day of visiting them all Jefferson Rise was my last stop...and by far the BEST! The staff was genuinely nice and really took the time find the right apartment for me. They even gave me a map of the area to help me a grocery stores, restaurants etc as I'm new to the city and dont know much about the area. The community is quiet and having onsite laundry drop off has been a HUGE help as I have a very tight schedule. Highly recommend living here! read more

The best community by far! There are so many incredible things that I love about Jefferson Rise, but none compare to the amazing staff. The leasing staff, especially Raliene, is the reason we chose Jefferson Rise over other communities in the area, and the reason we recommend this community to our friends when they are looking for a new home. Anytime we have had questions, Raliene has been happy to help out immediately and works hard to find a solution to help us out. Anytime we needed anything, she was only a call away. We know that leasing agents often do not stay in the same community long term and we are so hopeful that Raliene will stay with Rise. Her passion for her career is contagious and we love how much she loves being part of the community. She is a priceless asset to the team. The units are gorgeous, the amenities are luxurious. I had previously posted my positive experience with the complex. However, after a few months and change of management, we started having many issues. 1. The neighbors are not courteous of quiet hours. Which are 9pm-6am. We had dealt with rowdy neighbors playing their music all hours of the night and day, dogs barking constantly, etc. I had gone to the office to advise them what was going on and they said they will notify the tenant(s). Long story short, the issue progressed and was never resolved. I understand it's a complex and we weren't going to have 100% silence but there were some tenants/neighbors who just continued to be a nuisance throughout the night, during the week and weekends. 2. We had a number of packages stolen from the mailroom. I went to the office to see what can be done to prevent this from re-occurring, they advised we pay for the lockers. We were already paying for that and the issue was never truly resolved. I worked from home so I tried to go down as soon as I saw that my package was delivered but at times I wasn't fast enough or I didn't get notified right away. Office didn't take extra steps in preventing this nor cared to address my concern. 3. We had neighbors that would smoke weed daily at all hours. The scent would drift through our vents when we would close the windows. The smell was overpowering and nauseating. Even though the complex claimed to be a smoke free complex, they didn't take any action. We couldn't have our family over because our apartment smelled all the time. The communication among the office staff was inconsistent. Every time I would go in to follow up on my concern, the person I would speak with would not be aware of what was going on and state that they have no record of me coming in my file. After trying to escalate the issue and requesting to speak to the property manager and/or assistance manager, i kept being told the manager would get back to me within a specified time frame. After that timeframe expired, I will follow up and get the same response "they will get back to within x days ". Never got a response until I mentioned reporting them to the housing authority. Even then the property manager was of no help nor willing to address the issue. I wanted to terminate my lease ~2 months early and they said I had to pay an outrageous fee. The only other option was to sublet it to a family/friend. I explained I would not want to do that because it doesn't resolve the issues that I was dealing with. She said that was my only other option and just stick out the remaining of my lease since there wasn't much left. There were many other issues but those were the main issues that we faced on a consistent basis. Fast forward: I moved out after my lease was up and was billed all these extra fees in damages that came with the apartment and it had already been noted with the previous manager with our pre-move in inspection. It's an unfortunate situation because we loved our apartment and it started off such a positive experience and it ended up being a headache and a half. read more

Update: we have lived in the complex for the last 3 months and parking has caused a huge point of contention in our relationship; we are near breaking up deciding who will get the parking spot. We are on a waiting list for a spot and willing to pay any amount for a second spot. Typically we have to wait 30-40 mins before a guest spot is empty. The leasing office says we have not moved up at all on the waiting list. My issue is: why didn't they build a garage that can hold more spots if people wanted to pay for an additional spot. read more

I currently live here and I lost a package that was delivered yesterday which valued more than $800. My husband and I panicked and tried to do everything on our end to find out where my package was last seen or delivered to. It was already late of a time that we found out that it wasn't delivered to us so we weren't able to reach out to our leasing office to discuss about the situation. I don't know how I slept last night because I was so worried that I might not be able to find my package. This morning my husband and I went down to the leasing office and asked for help locating where our package could be, and Kaila was on it. She tried and did everything for us and there it was, delivered to a wrong person. She was so quick on what to do and was willing to try everything to help us out. Absolutely 5 Star service , I went there with my wife to find a new apartment, and then again with a friend of mine, to see some units I've already seen, and to take a look at new ones. The building is brand new, perfect location, very close to a lot of attractions , including Disney land , free ways and the shopping Center ( the block ). I've decided to put a hold on a new unit in this building because of outstanding customer service, Raliene , helped us tour the building , several times, she was very friendly and very very patient, throughout the hundreds of questions had. I've lived in this Area a year back , and wanted to come back to its location, We've been shopping around for the perfect apartment, building, prices , so far few locations have impressed us the most, but here at this Jefferson Rise building it was the customer service and Friendly attitude that stood out to us . The price is quite High, but because of such service, This building is on top of our list ATM. Thank you for such Professional attitude . read more

AVOID. We have not had a working washing machine for 11 days now, service requests submitted and we call daily. Martha in the leasing office is excellent but building management is brutal here. They only have one maintenance person today and there was an emergency so another day our washer will not be looked at. There are 400 units in the building and one maintenance person? This is by far the best Customer service I have ever recieved when looking for a new apartment .I came with a friend to take a look at the new building and the amineties theh offer . From the moment I walked in, Raliene welcomed and greeted us with a warm smile , friendly attitude . She showed us several units , and remained patient & friendly the entire time . We loved the building and the floor plans. We didn't rent at the Jefferson due to the outrageously expensive prices. But we loved the customer service , the 5 star is for the staff & customer service. The building and location is highly recommended. Isaiah in maintenance as well as the front-desk staff have been amazing through and through! They have been so helpful with my questions and maintenance requests. They really do care for the tenants and your experience living here. 5/5 front desk and maintenance. Unfortunately, they can only do so much and I cannot say the same for my experience with the assistant manager, Leslie. I moved in at the beginning of July, 2023. When asked about how long it would take to fix my key not working for some entrances to the amenities that worked for other residents, Leslie told me the doors were broken and needed to be serviced by the vendor. I asked for clarification on when their vendor would make the repairs, and was told that there's no estimate and she cannot provide one. How can a business like Grey Star property management work with vendors who cannot provide estimates? It's the basic principles of doing business that the best service is provided (especially for a luxury apartment), and providing your clients with timelines and setting expectations is part of that. I don't entirely blame Leslie, because she's obviously not responsible for my key not working, but the response was unprofessional and it felt like she tried brushing me off as quickly as possible to get rid of me. It would've been more helpful to let me know that she would follow up and can understand why I should be able to access amenities that I pay a lot of money for. I understand not all of this is Leslie's fault, and Greystar should really listen to these reviews because they sound true and fair. Once again, I would like to highlight Isaiah's amazing service as well Marta, Sahara, and Valerie at the front desk! (I hope I spelled their names right.) They have been so helpful and if it weren't for them I know a lot of residents would have been fed up with upper management and moved out.
