The décor is so put-together and modern that I sometimes feel underdressed just walking through the lobby. And shout-out to the front desk crew -- after I locked myself out (classic), they handled it like pros. They didn't just wave me in; they checked my ID, confirmed I was a resident, and made me feel like the Fort Knox of apartment complexes. It's comforting to know they take security seriously -- even from people like me who can't remember their keys. The maintenance team deserves its own standing ovation. Not only do they fix things fast, but one of them literally found my phone on the street three days after I lost it. I had already accepted my fate as a disconnected hermit when another maintenance guy slowly rolled up in his truck, stared at me for an uncomfortably long second, then hit me with, "Did you lose your phone?" It felt like the setup to a plot twist. Sure enough, my phone was chilling at the front desk like it had just returned from vacation. These guys don't just maintain the property -- they maintain my sanity. The community vibe here is top-notch too. My golden retriever has more friends in the building than I do -- neighbors always stop to greet him, and despite the occasional " happens" warning you see in some reviews, I haven't seen any evidence of it myself. The gym is usually empty at 5 AM (just how I like it), the amenities are rarely crowded, and even though Amazon drivers sometimes struggle with gate access, I choose to see that as a sign the place is secure. We lived at this apartment community for one year and, we were ready to move out halfway through our stay. The apt is marketed as a luxury apartment, but we found many aspects of the unit to be outdated and not reflective of that standard. The leasing office appeared to have a high staff turnover, which made communication and continuity somewhat inconsistent. also, GUEST PARKING WAS EXTREMELY LIMITED, creating ongoing inconvenience for visitors. Our unit was located by the Hudson area, and the surrounding apt tended to be quite noisy, which impacted our overall living experience. Although the location is centrally situated and close to many stores, we found it difficult to comfortably walk around the neighborhood due to safety concerns and the presence of many homeless in the immediate area. At move-out, we ensured the apartment was left in good condition. However, our full security deposit was taken, and we were charged an additional $1,000, which was unexpected given that we did not have pets and spent minimal time in the unit. We also noted a significant increase in rent at renewal, but regardless we were ready to leave. Please do not rent out here. Your money is better elsewhere. read more

The "manager", Liz, would greatly benefit from additional customer service training. Since living here, I have noticed a consistently high turnover of employees in the leasing office, which raises concerns about management. A manager should be equipped to make sound business decisions based on business needs while also assisting residents to the best of their ability. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience with Liz. She often comes across as rude and displays a dismissive, "whatever happens, happens" attitude. While I understand that certain situations onsite may be outside of management's control, the way residents are treated, especially during difficult circumstances, speaks volumes the level of customer service being provided. In this regard, Liz has been repeatedly rude and condescending and would most definitely benefit from additional customer service training. She also told us that she was the only person we could speak to. We will be reaching out to corporate to go above her. Oh! And she told us the cameras in the garage don't work, so if you are looking to move here please keep that in mind! Lived here for one year exactly and couldn't wait to move out. I know living in an apartment has its usual cons but this place was once considered a luxury apartment was definitely far from it. The biggest complaint I had about this place is be careful when you move out. Take lots of pictures and do the walk through final inspection with them because they will not only not give you any of your deposit back but also add on so many bogus fix it fees. My deposit was $700 and upon move out they said I had damages on top of that $700 that I needed to pay an additional $450. I have lived at several apartments in the Anaheim platinum triangle area and have never had to pay any additional fees on top of my deposit and have actually received part of my deposit back most of the time. On top of that, the people that worked there never seemed interested in helping with nat of the issues that you had and always seemed like they were miserable to be working there. The dog run was so bad that you could not even think about taking your dog there because no in picked up the poop. So many of the tenants smoked weed pretty much all day and you can smell it if you left your windows open. There were always transients hanging out in front of the walkway so you never felt safe walking your dogs. And make sure your patio does not face towards the McDonald's parking lot unless you want to hear take out orders all day and night until 3am. If you're looking for a quiet, calm, and relaxing place to live let me tell you... THIS IS NOT IT!!! Fire alarms are built into every apartment (which is understandable) but the placement is right in the bedrooms with an ear piercing loudness!! The place is supposed to be non smoking but the hallways constantly smell like weed even the outdoor areas. Parking is also a complete nightmare, people park where ever they want here and seems like management can be very selective on who they choose to enforce their rules on no matter how many emails you send them. read more

Since the pandemic, that changed dramatically for the worst. I want to emphasize that I hate giving bad reviews but this place demands it. It's noisy (ballpark, traffic, 24/7 sirens, homeless) and Anaheim is building a new firehouse immediately next door. As you'll read from other reviewers, expect phantom charges to show up on your move-out statement. These will offset your security deposit and somehow you'll end up owing them money. I've been living here for about a year and half and have genuinely enjoyed it. First, it's next to the Angel Stadium and close to the Honda Center, so I've taken advantage of going to plenty of baseball games and concerts. The property itself is well-maintained. I use the gym often and I've noticed it's cleaned regularly. The same goes for the rooftop pool and bbq, so that's been amazing. The maintenance team has been quick to address any issues around the apartment (like when I broke a drawer in my bathroom). The leasing office staff is also always really nice and helpful. It likely violates your lease, your building's policies, zoning law, and presents serious liability concerns. It's not fair at all !!!! It's multiple trainers doing this here !!!! But they wanna pick on everyone else for petty reasons, yet this has been going on over 2 years!! Ridiculous!!!! Everyone BE AWARE AT 1818 in unit 160 there's a full on Beauty salon supply going on since 2021 the unlicensed hair stylist also sold quesadillas at one point to all the customers and I was under the impression the leasing office was okay with that due to the fact that their head of maintenance gets a haircut by the tenants wife who's is NOT a licensed hair stylist and is not even in the contract. Sadly No body residing in this unit and the sole purpose of this rental is to run this business that's why it was picked strategically at the corner next to Mac Donald's with no neighbors in front to avoid the foot traffic to be seen by neighbors it's so sad for the people who are looking to rent a 2 Bd 2bth apt at 1818 and want to legitimately live there can't because there's not units available at times. You can see how the entrance is a safety hazard when you enter the unit by the piles of milk boxes illegally stolen from the Trader Joe's in Tustin. As you enter you feel like all those boxes will fall on top of you. The fact that the salon is located in a luxury apartment give the hair dresser the right to charge $500 for a color or high lights omg how can she charge that much without having a legal cosmetology licensed?!? I have really enjoyed living at 1818! I love my spacious apartment and the amenities. When I was searching for an apartment, I really was looking for something in my budget that would still include washer/dryer. I definitely wanted a gym and pool and 1818 had everything on my checklist. The location is perfect being right off the 5 freeway. I would recommend living here to anyone looking for luxury living for a great price. The office staff and maintenance people have been really friendly and helpful. I love it here! Ending my lease is bittersweet because I bought a house. If it weren't for my new home I would've renewed in a heartbeat. (We signed a 14 month lease) 1818 is right in the MiX! 8 minutes from Disneyland, walking distance to Angel Stadium and The Grove of Anaheim, 3 minute drive from the Honda Center and an 8 min drive to the Outlets of Orange. If you ever get the chance to rent a unit I recommend living on the 2nd floor facing a courtyard. The fountains are one of my favorite things about this place. It drains out any street noise. (Speaking of noise, I have no complaints. I feel like the windows and walls are soundproof. I hear my upstairs neighbors here and there but nothing major.) We moved in in the middle of the pandemic when some of the amenities were closed, however, once they opened up we LOVED the movie room and the gym is available 24 hours! There is a lounge with a private meeting area and wifi. A game room with a pool table. The rooftop pool is small but the rooftop grill and tables make up for it. You can watch Disneyland fireworks from the pool! Guest parking is plentiful. My guest only had issues finding parking on the weekends but in the end were always able to find a spot. The portal to pay bills and the portal for your smart home are so convenient. I barely ever had to contact the office for any issues but they have been helpful with the major questions I had regarding ending my lease. The maintenance staff is prompt and cleaning staff are polite and on point. Trash shoots are convenient. I am ending this review with my favorite thing about my unit, THE BATHTUB. I'm obsessed with it and never want to leave it! I really love it here and I'm sad to go. read more

Don't bother with the leasing team. All my emails go unanswered and so do my calls. In addition to that, they never follow up with me (I'm the head of household) instead they call my brother's number (who is my roommate) after I provide them my number in the voicemails I leave them. I'd have to go in person just to try to get a response. I've had the leasing office completely forget that there was a hole on my bathroom ceiling from an unnecessary maintenance call. I had to follow up twice (this was back in April by the way and still no response) on the damage that was made to my kitchen Island after my kitchen ceiling started leaking. I sent pictures to make sure that it won't be taken out from the deposit made prior to moving in. I have also emailed them for support on the theatre room. I wanted to host a movie night with friends and instead of enjoying a nice night, my blue ray gets stuck. I followed up with the office for support and no response, it's been days. The only times I've received a response is when I contact their corporate offices directly or show up in person. I just moved here in February. I absolutely love it. Marcos in the leasing off was so kind and patient. He answered all my questions and helped me through the process. The place is nice, and very comfortable and safe. I am currently waiting on new blinds and a new dishwasher. They were super responsive to my concerns. Although the maintenance could be a little more communicative about when stuff is requested or timelines. The management is great. Yes, there are some restrictions to the amenities like other people mentioned here, but thats to respect all the tenants. I have been a resident at 1818 for a few years now and they recently just switched ownership and management. I have experienced both UDR and Greystar. I really love that Greystar provides an elevated customer experience. The new owners and management have great policies and procedures in place to make living in the community that much better. The maintenance team is so friendly and prompt. My maintenance requests are usually completed within 24-48 hours. They also have 24 hour emergency maintenance and 24 hour courtesy patrol. The new office helps me so much and they go out of their way to make sure their residents are happy. Corrie, Marcos, and Abby are great and always are ready to help me with whatever I need. I definitely recommend living here and I can't wait to renew. read more

Don't accept an apartment next to the courtyard with the pretty fountains. Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures. There are roaches. You'll hardly sleep because there are parties in the resident lounge on random days at 3 AM. And someone pulls the fire alarm every other day so don't expect to sleep in. The water gets shut off for maintenance more than once a month so don't expect to shower on your day off. You would think the walls are thicker because you pay so much every month for luxury apartments. Just get a house with the same amount you pay every month. And the parking situation is shit. Warn your visitors to watch their step when they park in the garage since there's urine against the walls and emesis on the floor. Leasing will tell you they'll check for available parking spots and never get back to you. Don't be fooled. The gates also break often so be careful driving through. I mean I guess it's perfect if you're stuck in the party life and you don't need a home for sleeping at night. Maybe stick to working the graveyard shift if you end up living here. Or invest in earplugs and risk getting an ear infection and losing your hearing for the rest of your life. read more
