This complex is an elephant dump wearing a top hat and mustache for a disguise. From the outside you get the feeling that you made the right choice but within a month you will see the true nature of what you got your self into. Lets go with the most important part.....safety. Since being here for one year, we have had 1 murder next door, 1 murder down the street, stabbing behind the building, cars stolen from our "locked" parking garage, apartment broken into from the outside, storage units broken into from the inside, $1000 worth of deliveries stolen from the mail room and our front door, and armed bank robbers hiding out for 12 hours in our building with 50 cops with large rifles everywhere. There is 1 camera on the floor, facing the elevator door only. When confronting the front with the problems and lack of security for the residence that pay a premium to live here they told me there is nothing to do as they dont have a budget for cameras and i quote "keep complaining if it happens more so we can ask for more money". The security guards do nothing. Homeless people walk into the building all the time. Building - Everything in this ass hat of building is broken. 2 weeks into moving in we had a leak in our bathroom ceiling for 3 days before they sent someone to fix it..... the garage door has not been fixed in 12 months. It was propped open 24/7 and their solution was to put a security guard in a chair to watch cars. The gym has 4 machines....3 of which are constantly broken. The exterior doors are always broken to the point where your key does not open them at all. The water that comes out of the dispenser in the freezers is gross. The front would rather kick you out, raise your rent, or charge you fees instead of problem solving something that doesnt fit in there cookie cutter guide lines. You will find double charges for rent, random fees, and astronomical charges for trash and "Pest" prevention. Not even joking, $60 a month for trash fee and the trash rooms look like dump all the time. The room walls and slab between the floors are so thin that our apartment shakes when the people above play music or have the TV on loud. I hear my neighbors cell phone alarm clock go off every morning. You like cooking with the AC on....? Well you cant do it here. If you have the AC on then the air flow will mess up the flames on the stove and it takes double the time to heat anything and only 1 side of the pan will be hot. The building takes no initiative to give fees to anyone that lets their dog take a shit or piss in the hallways or stairwell. People will let their dog shit on the stairs and go on with their day. The ONLY bright spark in this entire mountain of shit are the maintenance staff and the 1 manager that takes control after her front desk staff try to screw you. The maintenance crew cleans up after all the jerks that leave their dog shit on the floor and make the building look a lot nicer than it really is. The crew that comes to fix your apartment are great, they are understaffed and assume under pain too. they are all friendly and fix everything the first time. Oh and an extra parking spot in $175 a MONTH. this is all i have for now but i am sure we have more to come! read more

It's been almost 4 months since we've moved out, and we still haven't received our security deposit back after multiple unhelpful calls and non-responsive emails. We were told during our walkthrough that it didn't even look like we lived in it, so there should have been no issue getting a refund. Living here was terrible. The gates to the parking garage were always broken. The walls are paper thin and everyone wears bricks for shoes. The trash room was disgusting and has even caught on fire before. The fire alarms will go off during the day and night. They make you pay for their parcel service but will leave your packages on the counter to be stolen. It's just not worth living here. read more

Been living here for about half a year now. Updating from my previous review: Parking: We were assigned one parking spot as we only have a one bedroom. I've seen a lot of complaints about how the parking structure is horrible and there isn't a lot of guest parking. It's true. However, the fiancé, parks at a parking area nearby which haven't been an issue for us. We notice a lot of our neighbors park there as well and when we host events, we direct our guests to park there. So far no issue so the limited parking space in the structure don't really bother us. Leasing Office: There has been a change of management recently as the old management from what I heard didn't seem to care about the property or it's residents. There was a huge turnover rate. The new staff are still too new to notice any changes but they seem to be working on issues that haven't been resolved in months (neighbors tell me years) such as getting the pool reheated. Maintenance: LOVE THEM!! David and his team are amazing!! Anytime I have an issue, they come almost immediately to fix the issue. Toilet not working, bam! Done. Drain clogged when we first moved in, fixed same day as complaint. Dishwasher, they had to call a guy in and was fixed within a week. They are on it and on top of it like white on rice. They have been consistent and reliable. Neighbors: Most of them are pretty nice. Already made friends with a few. There are of course the few occasional bad ones but luckily we don't run into them often. The bad ones are the ones that forget to pickup their dog poo (cleaning crew has been pretty good as I don't see poop left out often as I did before), leave trash out in common areas (not the in front of their suite), and the ones that make a lot of noise after hours. OVERALL: I like where we are. For the price compare to a lot of other luxury apartments, it's not bad. I hope to see big changes since they changed out the leasing office staff. read more

I must say, I've lived here for about 5 months now and I've really enjoyed where I live. I've lived at core, parallel and this property is my favorite. I love our amenities, the tennis court on the roof. Management and staff are always helpful and responsive. The property is always clean, and security do a great job to make sure there are no break ins. The maintenance team is awesome, especially Ben and David. I have to shout out Natalie! Natalie is such a sweet and helpful leasing agent. She is always willing to assist the residents and she's just always so warm and happy. Noah answered he was so friendly, personable, and willing to see us after his lunch on Wednesday. If you want your packages to be stolen & for management to only blame delivery people and not take any steps to protect your packages then live here. I've never lived in a building where stolen packages were such a huge issue, every package nearly stolen, some even opened in the mail room. Management won't even install cameras. Instead spends time placing blame on other factors (yes those factors contribute, but does that mean you do absolutely nothing?) Management told me that they aren't liable for packages and have no requirement to keep them safe per lease. I get that. But do they also not care to even try? In sum live here if you want your packages stolen & have a management team that won't even try to prevent it with steps such as installing cameras etc. read more

Been living here for 3 years going on 4. It has been fine until this tenant that lives upstairs started tap dancing, running laps with his dog, drilling holes late night! Sick of it, I've complained twice and no response from anyone. Every time I get out of bed I can hear the tenant get up as well and starts stomping it's like the tenant knows I'm awake! I don't mind the dog making noise, but the human up there needs to be told to KEEP IT DOWN!! I'd hate to take this into my own hands, so I'm giving the property management another chance to bring to their attention! Love this place, but it's becoming a trash hole and if it continues to be like this, I won't be renewing! We've been at Rise for 9-months now. Everything was going good but then things started to break down. We use the gym everyday but now there's a treadmill that's been broken since we moved in. The lat pull down is broken and we've asked repeatedly when they're going to fix it and they always tell us a different story. They say they're getting different quotes to get new equipment but does it take 5 months to get a quote?? Now they're re-doing the pool and warned us the day before. By the looks of it won't be done until next summer which sucks because we enjoyed using the jacuzzi. When they give you the tour they mention the great amenities but literally how can you mention the amenities when they're all broken. Rise get it together WE WANT OUR AMENITIES WORKING! read more

When I first moved to Rise, I did enjoy the amenities and the luxury of being next to the dog park as a dog owner. However, the advertising for living here is propaganda. There's never any visitor parking, door handles are broken and never fixed, key fob will only work for some doors as the doors will get jammed and management is flaky. When you have a concern and try to talk to management, unfortunately they are not in office and it will be the leasing reps. There's a lot of turnover with the reps so a lot of the times they're unsure on how to help you right then and there. They do their best. Oh, and also, the reception is terrible. So let's say you're expecting a package - if it's delivered by UPS or FedEx, good luck. It's either gonna be delivered in a locker and you don't get a code, or it's "delivered" then becomes lost. Maintenance is the only consistent process as the workers really do their best to help you in a timely manner. From my own experience and other residents, management will state that there can only be "2 guests per occupant" and "no pool parties". You're only allowed to rent the clubhouse for no more than 5 hours but workers will allow their families to throw parties all day in the clubhouse and have pool parties. Other residents have been written a violation so there is unfairness since the workers are overlooking their own rules for family parties. Overall it's a nice area community wise but is not worth the hassle and stress over the leasing period. You're better off in another area. read more

Reconsider your options when moving to this place! As much as rent is living experience for us has been a nightmare with not having hot water / limited parking space/ cleanliness/ packages stolen/ car broken into/ and horrible management! I've experienced not having hot water issues for over two month when I recently moved in, again months after they said issue was resolved.. they provided a 24 hour maintenance number that no one even answers? Couldn't even shower due to this inconvenience. They have some absolutely nothing to fully resolve this on going issue. Limited parking specs is a joke here! They have tons of empty space that can be utilized, they only assign one parking per apartment. Originally extra cost for another was 50 a month now it's 150 which is insane all they care about is money! They used to have trash cans on every floor all of a sudden they were removed them causing this place to look like a cheap hotel. I never have any packages delivered here after my package got stolen 1st and last I ever had anything delivered here, when I reached out to the front desk they will have you run across the street and will not help at all! They absolutely do nothing at that office to help. Oh and lastly our car got broken into security is a joke they did nothing about the situation. You will not feel safe here whatsoever!! There's filthy trash everywhere there's a rat infestation there's a lease breach in several live and work units having a profitable business open to the public when it's clearly a against there lease terms and conditions there's subleasing by the hour going on rot years and the office claims they don't know anything when maintenance have been inside each unit. They will lose your certified funds check and claim they didn't received it. They change staff all the time and whatever you're told by person that's not longer working for the company it's voided. They allowed people to park in the handicap parking without placard or expired placard they don't care about towing them. They don't care if your packages get stolen!!!! They don't care about break ins in the units or the cars. They only care if the mama get gets her car tires stolen. read more

Management is horrible. They no showed to our scheduled walk through appointment. They didn't send us an itemized move out invoice until after the 21 days. Postmarked on day 23 but letterhead dated on day 19. We had the place professionally cleaned and only had 4 picture holes in the wall total. They are trying to charge us $55 for painting, $145 for cleaning, and $70 for carpet. When I called the office Amanda tells me that it is corporate Greystar that I have to contact. After 4 days of leaving messages doe Greystar, Jose tells me that they have nothing to do with it and I have to call the office at Jefferson Rise. Take your money elsewhere and don't bother renting from a Greystar managed property. read more

I've lived here for over a year. If you want a place where leasing agents walk in your house while your in it to show an apartment that is rented, this is the place. Worst customer service, unorganized and zero accountability. Packages stolen, no upkeep and Fire alarms in the middle of the night for no reason at least once a month. They don't manage the guest parking so there is never parking for your actual guest. I had the high ceiling apartments, only thing that was good there. My fiance and I have been searching for the perfect one bedroom apartment but the check list was very hard to clear. In house Washer dryer, gas stove, central air conditioning, over 700 sqr feet , gym, luxry amenities and great location. Thankfully the JEFFERSON RISE met all that and more!!!! We got 800 sqr ft, a island in the kitchen and double sinks in the bathroom!! For couples we all know thats a game changer! Kyla our leasing agent was absolutely amazing she was patient with all of our questions, she offered us everything she could to get us in at a better rate, she kept us updated and guided us through the application process with ease. If you have more than one car per apartment do not live here. Constant parking problems and changes that happen on the fly. Each apartment gets one spot but can get two parking passes. Residents are not allowed to park in guest parking and the managements solution is for you to find parking elsewhere. By elsewhere they say "try some app where parking is a mile away". read more

Finally, after living here since the complex was built, we bought a home and DIPPED. This place was so perfect when it was built, the events brought our neighbors together, there weren't many people living there, parking was abundant and crime was non-existent...then management changed, multiple times. Each time it progressively got worse, they never answer their phones, they never respond to emails, they give shitty 'solutions' to your problems. They're funny because when I filled out their questionnaire about why I was leaving this place they changed it themselves and put down "Employment changes" shit, I didn't know I had some sort of employment change, I even went to the office and told them the real reason: management, security, price. I paid an absurd amount of money living here, the most out of everyone in the entire complex. Instead of using the $4500 you got out of me every month for proper security, better locks for storage, and solutions for package thefts, ya'll just sit in your leasing office jacking off. As I was packing to leave I also found out I was paying an extra $100 for an empty storage unit, why was it empty? Everything got stolen from it. My thousands of dollars of packages containing clothing, statues, gaming equipment, etc.? Stolen within 20 minutes. Oh, I did definitely have Parcel Pending but people took so long to take their shit out it was never available. It's not hard to hire someone to sit in the leasing office behind that big ass desk, have them receive packages and call the resident when it's there.. All in all, you'll be 1. Robbed: inside your car, storage, probably your tires. 2. Overpaying: I first lived in their 2 bed 2 bath unit, then moved to their 1 bed 2 bath live/work unit. I spoke to my neighbors with the same unit and they pay $1000 less. 3. Ignored by Management: don't offer any recommendations, they obviously don't give one shit. Good Riddance, Rise. read more

Horrible apartment complex. Don't let this place fool you, It looks nice on the inside but let me just tell you the management is one of the worst! Their application process is not easy, it is actually almost impossible to submit the necessary documents to their link and then they only give you less than 24 hrs to upload them! I Got a really good price on a 2 bedroom but when I called to ask questions about it after I applied they told me the pricing was wrong.......so I stated that that's false advertising if you have a price on the website but telling me it's incorrect after I applied to it. She then said she was going to have management call me back but never did. I applied to the apartment complex on Tuesday with the holding fee to reserve the apt and went to look at the model on Wednesday and on Thursday at 6:30pm I received the "next steps" email where I needed to download my documentation. I didn't check my email until Friday morning however I was at work so I couldn't upload them until after work on friday. I tried uploading them and it was impossible to upload them to the link because they specifically want pdf files and won't accept print to pdf files which I have never had an issue with before. Unfortunately they were closed by the time I was uploading them and I called them the following morning on Saturday and they told me that since it's passed the 72 hours from the application date (which was on Tuesday) that they cancelled my application. It doesn't make sense why they would cancel it it I only received my "next steps" email on Thursday night and I tried uploading the documents the following day on Friday. So they give ppl less than 24 hours to upload documentation and make it really really difficult to upload them and that's the only way you can submit documentation. I'm really disappointed as now I lost out on a great deal because of this poor management. read more

By far the worst place I've ever lived in my life!! They do not give a shit about us right here!! I advise anybody who lives in Revo, Rise, or Edge to look into yelp and Facebook and see the endless amount of people who are crying out for help and management does nothing. I had a guy jacking off in front of my daughter and I by the trash room my car has been broken into my storage almost got broken into. All the amenities are always closed down for repairs. And don't even get me started on the mail I have to go pick my mail up from my aunts house because if I have it set here I probably won't get it because it will be stolen by the time I get it. And the hen dog of management for these places Carlos Silva is by far the worst Head manager I have ever dealt with. Talk about unsympathetic rude racist and the list goes on. They don't give a rats ass about us right here. None of us have been able to pay our rent for almost 3 months. Oh and don't even try to put a maintenance request in because you can't. I hate it here so much I would rather live in the heart of Compton then have to deal with this. I would probably be more safe in Compton. I have been banned from being able to go down to the front office to talk to them because they don't wanna deal with me and my truth. They have made it impossible for me to get any questions answered my rent paid maintenance request. Run run as far as you can I know they look really nice from the outside but it's the devils playground inside!!! Look at all the yelp reviews please look at the Facebook group page please he will be able to see I'm not making this shit up.
