The taxidermy is beautiful, and I had no idea they would actually have live fish inside their building. It's a remarkable establishment. It felt like a football field inside. This is definitely THE place for outdoor enthusiasts and folks who fish, hunt, camp, and so on. They have BOGO 40% Costa sunglasses. I ended up getting a 3-piece utility box crate. Customer service was standard, but I was mostly taken away by the beauty of nature, and of course, I had to donate to the conservation fund. I'll have to do more research on what entails, but there is so much to dive through and explore here.

I demo'd a firewire board last weekend at salt creek, and the van left with my drivers license before I could return the board. I had no way to contact them or anything, but I remembered that the Ripcurl store sometimes has that van there but I don't think they they had anything to do with the current demo event I was partaking in... Anyway so I called around asking what to do, and finally reached Matt, who went above and beyond by taking my number down, getting in contact with the guy driving the Firewire Demo van, and having him drop off my Drivers License at the Ripcurl store, and said I could come in anytime to return the board and take my DL. He literally saved me a massive headache and 3 hours of driving down to the Firewire store in San Diego (far from my home) to get my DL back from them had Matt not been the middle man and handled the issue swiftly. He has always been super nice and helpful when I'm in the store (just like all the employees) but he really went above and beyond this time and I'm extremely grateful!

New shoes help prevent injuries, so I like to make it easy to keep exercising. Will was very helpful! I asked him to look over the shoes I decided were possibilities, and he suggested a completely different pair. I didn't feel "upsold" because the price difference was only about $10, but once I tried on the shoes, I understood what he was talking about. Immediately, I said, "these are mine!". I have a large foot, so they only had one pair, but Will let me know there was another pair in the Long Beach store. I headed out to the LB store the next day and snagged a second pair. At the same time, my friend headed upstairs to the Men's section because she, too, has a large foot. The women's selection gets smaller and smaller when the shoe size increases. She was greeted by a female sales person who helped her find two pairs of shoes and a windbreaker-type jacket. My friend is not a Nike member, so she filled out the online form and received a 15% discount on her items. I responded to a Nike request for feedback, and I described the San Clemente store as "homey." We received great help from very friendly sales persons. As a bonus, I saw a drinking bowl for dogs. I love dogs, so I saw this as a very nice touch.
