I've used this service a handful of times due to convenience and frequency of promotions being offered. Tonight was my last straw with using this company. Pick up times are often (and expected) to be extremely delayed than what they tell you up front up until nearly midnight. Some delays are of course to be expected, but not hours and not certainly a laundry pick up approaching midnight. Upon waiting hours through delays, Yessenia the driver forgot my laundry bag to put the items in and any tag to use to track it. This was confirmed with customer service way in advance and was completely unprofessional on behalf of the driver. I didn't feel comfortable handing my items over without any means of tracking it and most of all staying up until midnight for this to happen was extremely infuriating. This was the worst service I've ever had, hands down. Supposedly dry cleaned pieces came back visibly dirty. I took them to another cleaner and they were easily cleaned so it wasn't due to staining, etc. One of the dresses actually came back wrinkled and with my dog hair still on it. Some background: Rinse almost became a client of a company I worked for back in the day. So when the husband and I started having washing machine issues at our new place, they were my first thought. A Rinse associate was able to pick up our clothes the very next day, and although I wasn't a huge fan of the fact they neglected to mention a 3 bag maximum, the bags were really big and fit almost everything we wanted to send over. The clothes were then returned to us next day during the given 30 minute window. It was generally about a 24 hour turn around for 3 bags full of laundry that came freshly laundered, folded, and neat. I loved it. Loved it so much. While I wouldn't feel comfortable sending my vintage items and handmade quilts here, we did send our handmade crochet blanket and other general blankets and clothes that we wouldn't miss if something happened to them. And we received everything back no issues. The crocheted blanket looks better than ever! Overall I feel Rinse would be a great service for baby clothes, or for people who are in situations where they need bulk laundry done quickly due to an allergy (for us cat). While I don't think it would work for everything and might not be for everyone, but I'm really glad they exist and I could definitely see us using them again in the future! read more

I've been a Rinse customer since 2017 - I am subscribed to the monthly membership where I pay for 2 bags per month ($114) . Rinse is really a life saver for me. Is it perfect? No - but is it the best option for over extended people like me? I thought so. This week I sent in my 2 bags of wash&fold + an additional third bag with a comforter. When I checked my receipt I noticed I had been charged for the comforter AND 9lbs of wash and fold. Apparently two of bikinis were wrapped up in the comforter I sent in. I'm still in the process of an exhausting and ridiculous email chain with multiple customer service reps trying to determine how two small swimsuits could weigh 9 pounds - but things got worse. I opened up one of the sealed bags of folded t-shirts and everything STUNK. All SIXTY POUNDS of my clothes are just steeped in the stench of an unshowered person. The laundry smelled so bad that my dog started trying to tear into it. Everything feels stiff and has a light scent of detergent - so I'm assuming it was washed? - but it most definitely went through a dirty machine. I have consistently received other people's SOCKS in my deliveries over the years, so it's also possible they're just washing your stuff with a strangers crap. Whatever happened - the outcome is VILE I'm not even going to attempt to resolve this with them - you can see in the reviews that a refund is unlikely anyway- but I don't want credit or a rewash. My washing machine broke and "Rinse" picked up my wash...6 bags of it. They provide labeled black bags for regular wash and different ones for dry cleaning ( I don't have dry cleaning). I loved the service. They follow directions with washing detergents and fabric softeners (I am allergic). They sepeate after wash and bundle socks, underwear etc. separately in plastic bags folded. I hate sitting in laundromats for hours and folding. I saved water, time, energy and would highly recommend this service! read more

I have been using this service for a year or so. However, while the drivers were professional and friendly the quality of the customer service is poor as well as the attention to detail. They mixed my clothing with other customers and I received items that were not mine when I complained that one of my towel sets was missing they initially offered reimbursement just to later back off and demand evidence that I sent the towel. Also, some of my clothes were tinted with fabric softener. Avoid the headache and don't do business with Rinse. All I can say is good luck. I used to love this service and have used it for years, especially in a city like SF where laundry is a pain. Unfortunately the last several months I've had issues with EVERY order. Whether it was damaged clothing, lack of response, rude customer service or issues with repairs made. They were even charging a card I deleted form my account for 3 moths after removing it without my knowledge. On top of all of that I also had issues where a driver says they are on their way and never show up. I tried sticking it out but, I wouldn't bother, seems like the service had gone WAY downhill and they don't really care about retaining customers. I just cancelled my rinse service for two reasons. First: I lost trust in their ability to handle my items. For the past 4 bags sent in on the rinse and repeat service (for which they do not take a photo inventory of the bag contents) I have received at least one item that belongs to someone else. Naturally that leads me to believe that other people are getting one or more item of mine in every wash too. Because there is no inventory I have no way of knowing. Second: shrinkflation. The past 4 or so bags I have gotten back have come back in two bags that are just over half the size of the normal duffel. I would send one bag in and get two bags back. This means that when I run out of the big bags, I would need to use a smaller one, giving me significantly less for my money. At this point, the lack of value and trust means I'd rather spend the time to handle it myself and make sure it's done right. Major bummer because it was great while it lasted. Now it is not worth the anxiety of wondering what is missing after getting a (smaller) bag back. Do better, Rinse! read more

See pictures, I used Tide soap and baking soda to scrub off manually, washed them again, dirt comes off. What machine are they using? Are they using detergent? Heard of Tide? This service is awesome. I almost didn't try it, because of some of the more recent reviews, but I'm so glad I did. It's like magic. I put my laundry out at 9pm on Sunday night and at 8:30pm the next night, it was delivered back to me, perfectly cleaned and folded. The person who picked up and dropped off the laundry was super chill and nice as well. I really don't get why some of the recent reviews are so cranky? I guess the issue with Yelp is that people generally only write reviews if they happen to have a terrible experience or an extraordinary one. I'm writing, because this experience met my expectations 100%. My washing machine broke, I was SOL, I needed a ton of sheets and towels and clothes washed within 24 hours and Rinse delivered. I had a horrifying experience with Rinse last week. I pay $70/mo for the Rinse membership and have used the service before with little issue. When I used it last week it was supposed to be next day delivery but the order was not delivered the next day and I received zero communication on the status of the order. It was initially traceable through the app then wasn't. It just disappeared from the app. There was ZERO customer service coverage that weekend and I was unable to get in contact with ANYONE. I had to cancel my weekend plans as I did not have the laundry I needed. It was also very stressful to know that thousands of dollars of clothes, many of which I can't rebuy, may be lost. They have multiple ways to contact customer service but NONE of them work. They have a phone number that is supposed to be open the majority of the day but it either rings indefinitely or goes to voicemail. No one seems to email back or text back on the "priority" number they tell you to text. Someone got back to one of the many calls the next day and said they had no record of my order. I was asked whether I used Rinse or if I used another laundry service... I told them I have security camera footage of my order being picked up along with the confirmation email. I was told I would be contacted again before end of business day. Late in the afternoon someone randomly texted me saying they were delivering the order that evening. No apology, no context on where my clothes were, why they went missing. The clothes finally came back around 10PM that evening (another con of this service, they usually only do pick ups and deliveries in the evenings when clothes are more prone to theft) I think they were either stolen or misplaced. When I raised the fact I would contact my lawyer and review the security camera footage Rinse "found my order". Additionally, it seems like none of the clothes used detergent as they all smelled used and unwashed. I contacted Rinse on social media and was told they get a Manager to contact me but no one has. Absolutely appalled that a large company does not have responsive customer service, never received an apology, and logistically orders can be lost. read more

I had a really great email exchange with Cassie who did everything in her power to make me happy. Rinse ultimately refunded the laundry fees I paid. I really want to like rinse. I don't want to have to deal with carrying 30-40lbs of laundry to and from a laundry mat once a week while pregnant. Unfortunately it just isn't working out. The first service was awesome! Everything was picked up washed and returned. We ended up with someone's sock and I wouldn't be surprised if someone else ended up with one of our socks but no biggie. Second service also went really well although they did use scented detergent when I'd specified otherwise. Now that we are locked into a $200 subscription for 4 bags a month, we can not get our laundry picked up for 3 days in a row. First day the driver ran out of time(?) and we ended up skipped. The second day the driver said he didn't have an access code(?) but there is no gate, building or anything with an access code. Either way we were again skipped. The third time I guess the driver just couldn't find us. It sucks because it went so smooth the first time but we'll be canceling our subscription. It would be less of a big deal that they couldn't find us if they came at a normal time but it's always about 10:30pm and we're generally in bed/sleeping when they want to pick up. read more

I used their wash and fold repeat program which consist of $60 a bag without tip. SAVE YOUR MONEY THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE. Sadly, my UGG comforter was ruined after their washed and cold services.. then they offered to repair my comforter from the stains on my comforter. Rinse offered a dry cleaning service, and this is the outcome of the comforter. They issued credits to my account, and I was without a comforter for 5-6 days based on their end of not rushing my services next day, one of their representatives took the initiative to have my comforter be not rushed.. when frankly sf is terribly cold. Do not use this service as they won't replace your items for you if they ruin it for you, and they'll just scan you out of money by having all these fees at the end of your statement. Rinse has found that fine balance between poor service, high prices and lackluster customer support. My laundry was basic - bag of t-shirts to be washed in cold water with fragrance-free detergent. Paid $90 and tipped $4. Laundry was returned smelling like it was dipped in a sea of detergent perfume. Overwhelming in fragrance, which I'm allergic to, I called customer support. We were called by some rude woman who literally said on the phone, "We're here" twice even when asked what we do now with our clothes. Do we bring them downstairs to the gate, what about the extra bag I asked for, etc. No response. So I said okay and hung up the phone. Not 20 seconds later we were downstairs with our bags of laundry and saw a car pull away. We waited for them in the cold and rain and a couple minutes later received a text saying Rinse had come by but must have missed us. I responded explaining what happened and it's been almost 40 minutes now and no response, not from either number I explained our situation to. The woman seemed to speak perfect English in the test message she sent but over the phone did not seem capable of answering any of my questions. She was so rude this is the only explanation I can give for her behavior. The message we received after the woman drove away was, a continuation of an earlier message I received unknowingly saying they'd be here in 3 minutes and that it would be a good idea to visit their website at Rinse.com. Yesterday I explained to the person who I set the appointment up with that I'd tried retrieving my password but couldn't and still today hadn't received a response to change my log in password. I've used Rinse once before and this behavior and treatment was 180 degrees from the service I received last time. That was months ago and at that time both the people arranging the pickup and the valet that arrived were both articulate, specific and explained everything. This time neither was the case. The person who set up the appointment gave no impression they were even interested in our business and seemed annoyed when I asked when to expect someone after explaining about the password situation. I chalked it up to a text thing and don't expect everyone in the service industry to speak English clearly. Then tonight, driving away when we came right down when she called. I didn't cancel, I didn't say anything after her seeming unwillingness to answer any of my questions regarding the pickup. Nothing in what I did would explain why this woman decided to drive away. I did let them know I'd be leaving a review on Yelp! and any other place we can find to relate our experience. Rinse is expensive and we had a billing misunderstanding during our first experience that they were more than helpful at the time to rectify. That's why, despite the high cost, to go with them again. Please do not be fooled by five star reviews for this place. I believe they are fake given what looks like a lot of other people's extremely poor experiences with this company. I just want to stress that despite the apparent rudeness by both the pickup person and person we arranged the pickup with we were downstairs promptly with our laundry because we really needed it and I thought I was just being over sensitive. To drive away while we're standing with our gate open checking around the corners and waiting in case the person driving away, who had to have seen us we were there so fast and clearly saw them, is inexcusable. As far as any special requests, absolutely forget it. On multiple occasions, I've given special instructions that get completely ignored. The service is really convenient - hand delivery and pickup from the door. Unfortunately, the quality of dry cleaning is horrible. Specifically with white or light colored items - I have had 4-5 things come back with stains or the white turned to a completely new color. I've had to throw out expensive white blazer and white silk dress because the staining pattern was not fixable. The worst part is that they don't even mention this to you before returning the garment - it's almost like they're hoping you don't notice. Normally a dry cleaner would call or send a message or at least talk to you when you pick up your items if any damage is incurred at all. The whole process was smooth and the text updates were great, however, our pillow cases, bedsheets, and towels came back with dirt on them. I would have appreciated some kind of acknowledgment, but to send it back to me dirty after I've paid for the service without so much a note is not good business practice.
