This is the picture of the man that was being very rude and disrespectful to me

I was doing laundry and the man that works there to clean out the lint out of the dryers was so rude to me and disrespectful I asked him not to clean it out in front of me or if he can just wait and he started cussing me out calling me names in Spanish he would not let me talk he was speaking over me and he called the manager before I got a chance to and said that there was a crazy lady screaming at him I was having a lot of allergic reaction to the lint dust and he had a mask on and was telling me to shut up he called me the b word multiple times I even left my dog's bed in the dryer because I was having so much anxiety needed to get out of there I don't think anybody should have to go through what I went through at this laundromat I'm sure I'm not the only person that he's been rude to and has done this in front of I give these people one star only I even called the manager and could get through to him. I would not recommend this place to anybody because of this man working there

New store hours during Shelter-in-Place!

I came to Oak Street Laundry for the first time today and had a great experience. I purchased a $3 Money Card using the automated machine inside the laundromat by debit card and added value easily. On a Monday evening during shelter-in-place, the laundromat was clean and not at all packed. There was no attendant on duty but the machines were straightforward to figure out and use. I parked right in front of the laundromat and like other Yelpers mentioned--didn't pay for parking (though the numerous Tow-Away signs were a bit intimidating at first). I used two commercial Speed Queen washers to do three weeks' worth of laundry ($3.35 per load ~35mins) and then one Speed Queen commercial dryer ($0.35 per 7 min; you add time incrementally by inserting and then removing the card as far as I could tell/did). Usually I do laundry at work but since Shelter-in-Place happened I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was here at Oak Street Laundry!

After years of going here we are finally ended today. Some of these laundromat machines aren't working properly. Some of the machine weren't produce water and no one is where is complain the issue and get refunds. As well as the folding area was block for covid19 rules starting last week.

Parking: the signs say you have to pay ABC Parking by phone but the owner/staff at the laundromat said it's fine, so we did not pay. Machines: they have large, "big load," commercial washers that are great for washing blankets and bed quilts. Much cheaper to wash yourself than to bring to a dry cleaner. Cleanliness: could be cleaner - the floor is pretty gross, but the machines were fine and clean. Seating while you wait: yes. There are 3 benches surrounding a table near the front of the laundromat where you can sit and wait for your laundry to finish. WiFi: yes! LAUNDROMAT is the name and laundromat in all lower caps is the password. At least when I was there today it was. You can pay for your laundry with cash, quarters or credit card, all to be put into a card that works in all of the machines. You have to buy a $3 card as a deposit, but as long as you return the card you will get your deposit back. I'm going to keep my card for now as I'm sure I'll be back, so hopefully I don't lose it! There are so many machines here that even though there are many out of order there are plenty of machines to go around. Each size costs a different amount and all machines are clearly marked.

It's always met my needs. I'd never leave my laundry unattended at any public laundromat.

It's centrally located…read morepretty far up Mission & accessible by a few of the more popular bus routes making it an ideal spot to stop and do laundry. One bonus of being a patron at this establishment is you get a free laundry bag upon signing up. One major downside is the price fluctuates for washing & could easily eat up your laundry bankroll on one of the more expensive days. The location interior is usually pretty quiet & clean the people who frequent the location are also in turn respectful. If the price was lower it would have gotten a higher score but the price point for me makes it "mid pack". Overall this place is a wash spot. Nothing more nothing less. Your money is always good here for sure. Being a POC doesn't seem to have a bearing on the quality of service you receive due to the fact its self service. As you can see from my other reviews I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately in The Bay Area...However! I write these reviews based on my experience so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. But always do your own research!

It's definitely not cheap, even when you save by signing up for the membership. They still lose your socks, and aren't transparent about cost. I wanted to re-route items for wash/fold to hand wash; they helped re-route the items but didn't tell me how much it would cost me until they accepted them and washed them, so I paid over $100 (in addition to what I was paying for the wash/fold items, also over $100) for 25 times to me washed and hung to dry. Not worth it. I scheduled a pick-up, completely unaware that my subscription was still paused, so I was charged full price as if I didn't have a subscription. It was PAUSED, not cancelled. So why no pop-up message on the app asking if I want to un-pause? Why doesn't the membership automatically un-pause when someone with a paused membership schedules a pick-up? Why is there no confirmation page before the pick-up is scheduled to confirm with customers what their estimated cost would be for what they're about to schedule? These all seem like common sense solutions to this issue, none are in use. For someone who just has a slumlord property manager and laundry machines that are constantly going out of service, it's incredibly frustrating to have to pay this much - $100s of dollars and my sanity - to do laundry. I cancelled my membership and will give Rinse some time to see if they catch up with reality and the state of the economy - because if I'm paying over $100 a month for laundry service, I'd think I'd at least get all my socks back!
