Same trajectory as all laundromats in sf - they used to be amazing, and have progressively gotten to mediocre at best. The was and bag service used to have 24hr turnaround, now it's 48hrs unless you pay $5 extra. Closing time is 10pm but if you come after 9pm, you cannot drop off. Whenever I come for pickup, even after paying $$, staff is not around half the time. There's a vaguely scribbled "back in 30 mins". Will they be back in 30 mins? Is it 30 mins from now or sometime back? Nobody tf knows. Sad to see this place become like any other laundromat in the city. read more

After weeks of calls, unanswered messages, and repeated promises that a manager would contact me, I finally received a callback only after reaching a number listed on my credit card transaction details. The representative was immediately defensive, repeatedly talked over me, dismissed my concerns, blamed me for the damage they caused, and insisted that her experience justified ignoring my written garment-care instructions. I had explicitly requested hang drying, yet multiple expensive garments were returned shrunken and damaged. Two of the worst-affected shirts had never been washed before Laundré handled them. Rather than investigate or offer a remedy, the representative said they would increase my existing charge and bill me additional hang-dry fees because those fees had not been applied correctly, while dismissing the possibility that the missing charges reflected the requested service not being performed. She also denied any recollection of a documented 30-minute pre-subscription call and focused on how I obtained the business number instead of why nobody had returned my calls. Mistakes happen, and this is exactly the kind of local business I would have loved to support. Laundré presents itself as an environmentally conscious, community-oriented service that takes thoughtful care of customers' clothing, and I likely would have given them substantial repeat business. Instead, the aggressive and dismissive response, combined with the complete refusal to listen or meaningfully investigate my concerns left such a terrible taste in my mouth and I am leaving this review as a warning. Do not take your clothes here. Do not risk it. Reaching anyone with authority is nearly impossible: calls and messages go unanswered, employees repeatedly promise a manager will call back, and those callbacks never happen. Probably best laundromat in the city. Super clean, machines work great and there is always staff available. The washing machines have a sanitizing setting and the drying machines will dry your clothes really fast. I will say the cost of washing is very high, but drying is pretty cheap, so it balances out. I went in to do my laundry on Thursday 5/14 for the first time and a woman who apparently works there started yelling at me, saying I was banned from the premises. I've never even seen her before! My shirts and workout clothes are always left smelling like BO and I make a conscious effort to not overfill the machine. They just don't use enough water. The best laundry mat in the city. The washers are industrial-type, they wash well, and quickly with lots of options for the load. The dryers are AMAZING. They are huge, and they drive so quickly because of their size. The dryers cleaning service that they have here has been amazing as well. This laundry mat is slightly more expensive than others, but I think it is worth the extra money because of how well everything works and how nice the place is. Service started out fine with clothes being picked up quickly and loved that the pictures were included that also showed time stamps. Then when it came to get my clothes back. I received a text that said my clothes were ready and will be dropped off soon but the picture that they sent was of my green bag full, my clothes in a plastic bag instead of the tan bag and my blue bag. I wanted to give the benefit of doubt that maybe something happened to the tan bag itself and that's why it was in the plastic bag instead. Then when the clothes were delivered shortly after I noticed that the blue bag was mostly empty. When unpacking everything I had clothes that were missing as well as the tan bag. I tries calling multiple times that same day and there was no response other than automated an automated message that said my issue was escalated to a manager but have not received a call back and also sent texts but no response. read more

Oh this place bailed me when I didn't have a soap of a prayer. Unfortunately the local gangs ripped off the coin machine at my regular establishment so there I was walking around w/ a two ton bag of dirty laundry on my back to the second establishment - which apparently closed down due to skyrocketing rents and the owners just fed up w/ local crime and homelessness. Now I'm stuck cuz I'm literally out of clean clothes and can't hoof it anymore. Thanks to yelp I found this mecca. From the moment I stepped in, it was like a tall glass of water in the middle of the Sahara. A kind lady showed me the machines and properly gauged which I should use based on the two ton stinky monstrosity I was schlepping around (apologies to my uber driver btw). Fortunately for me, he was a tolerant fellow and sympathized with my plight when I explained my circumstance. He got a 5 star review because he told me he actually brings his laundry to his exwife's home every two weeks. xP But I digress. All the reviews you read about this place is true. It's nice, clean, might be run by the cartel, IDGAF. It's safe - SAFE!!! I dont have to give strangers the stank eye. I can just do my laundry and zone out for 30 as it's in the extra spin cycle. I paid $50 for two loads of laundry (wash and fold). I came back the next day to pick it up and no one was there to help me. I had to wait 30 minutes for the only attendant on duty to return from their break. When you're paying for a premium service like this, you shouldn't be expected to find parking in San Francisco for 30 minutes to pick up your laundry because an employee decides to take a break at an arbitrary time. Why not schedule breaks for the same time each day and have designated pick up hours? They're clearly understaffed. The employees seem overworked and extremely stressed out. read more

I've been going to Laundre for at least 6 months now to do my laundry. It's always clean and the staff are very helpful. Free wifi too! DARLENE especially has been pleasant and welcoming, and I've seen her go out of her way to help customers. While their washer/dryer prices are on the higher side as compared to other laundromats I've been to, their appliances consistently perform well: no washers that are supposed to run for 25 minutes but actually end up running 35 minutes because of spin cycle; no dryers where heat is broken. They've got at least 8 large size washers (i.e big enough for washing comforters) and smaller machines as well. Lots of machines in general. I'll continue to come here for washing and drying my clothes! read more

It's true, they do have wonderful customer service. Read all the reviews but wasn't expecting too much. I was met with more than what I had expected. Entire place is very clean, a wash costs $7.50 and they do accept Apple Pay which is quite convenient. Soap is also offered complimentary! Dryer is 25 cents a minute, I believe. Recently started requiring a laundromat, and I wasn't sure where to start. The last one I tried closer to my house was good, but there was almost nowhere to sit and wait. This location is nice because there is room to sit down, but there are also a lot of restaurants and shops nearby to keep you busy while you wait. The machines are good because they can self-sanitize prior to loading your laundry. While the washers may be a little pricey (about $5.50 for a small washer and I think around $7.50 for a larger one) the larger ones can fit multiple loads and the dryers are big and can take multiple loads. Dryers are only 25 centers per minutes. It's nice to be able to do all my laundry within an hour. Also they provide free environmentally friendly detergent, which is always nice. There are employees around if help is needed, and they also provide wash and fold services. Parking can be tricky but there is a steep road around the corner with a lot of spots. read more

I have never been more impressed by a laundromat! This business is so good, it's actually inspiring. Very clean and efficient. The staff member Darlene welcome us and gave us a thorough introduction to their machines (size Small (2 loads), Medium (3 loads), and Large (6 loads) and how to use them. Each washer can run a Disinfectant mode (1 minute) so you can clean the washer before using it. Though Darlene said she does it after each person uses it anyway. They give free soap (Nellie's eco-friendly soap powder; hypoallergenic- no fragrance or dyes!). Whitening powder with optional vinegar for a little extra $ (just turn on the machine and then add the whitening powder and vinegar as it runs otherwise it will overflow as it reacts). Drying machines are 0.25cents for 6 minutes, and the machines are very effective, maybe only requiring 12 minutes to dry on High. But they're large enough dryers that clothes don't feel overheated. (Wednesday they do a special promotion where you can dry for free). The prices are very fair, and possibly even more affordable than other laundromats because the machine capacity is so large and they're so effective. We were visiting a friend in the area, but if we lived here and needed a laundromat, this would be our choice. Thank you, Darlene! read more

In my opinion, one of the better laundromats available around the neighborhood. They provide free detergent to use for washes. A variety of small, medium, and large washing machines. All take credit card with the exception of a few dryers which are coin only. The atmosphere is always clean, well-lit and there are attendants for drop-off laundry service. read more

Wow, I remember one day (many years ago) my washer broke and I drove from Pac Heights looking for a clean, nearby laundromat and I found this little place at 1233 Divis. I met this beautiful Jamaican woman and we had a ball talking and folding laundry! Today, I drove across town from our new home in Golden Gate Heights to find a laundromat where I could launder our goose down duvet and pay by credit card (like I used to in Rocklin!). Well what do you know? It's my little place from back in the day! But, it's different now. It's got neon lettering on the wall. It's got swanky new, updated machines that extract the water so well out of my laundry it left the imprint from the holes in the washer! Why is this an impressive note to make, because it helps considerably cut down on drying time! The space was very clean and staffed by a very kind and helpful young woman during my entire time. When I asked her how long it took to normally dry a load of clothes she kindly responded, "Oh about 18-24 minutes. So about a dollar." Through my thick N95 mask she heard my audible "What, seriously?" and she giggled at me and said "Yep." She knew I was new to the game. But she was still sweet to me. The massive dryer let me know it meant business and I thought to myself, yeah it's probably going to take an extra quarter or 2, we'll see. Well, I got to write a partial entry in my journal and then, my dryer summoned me. My down time was up and my down comforter was finished! It took a moment for me to realize it because I was entranced by the Muizak version of Gangstas Paradise by Coolio. I touched the sheets in partial disbelief waiting to feel the faintest of dampness but, alas there was none. They were cool to the touch though! Just as I was saying to myself why are you cool? The sweet lady popped out from the Employees Only door and said, "Heeeeey, how'd it go? Everything nice and dry?" I started laughing and told her about the conversation I was having in my head at that exact moment and how I was amazed at the way this dryer performed just like my German fancy dryer at home! It didn't kill my Cozy Earth bedding with firey heat and everything came out beautiful and wrinkle free! It was at that moment she perked up even more (how is that possible?) and began to tell about the awesomeness of being an Eco-Wash Laundromat! She talked about all of the fun features of the washers and dryers that I mentioned to you just as if she personally owned the laundromat! I loved it! She had pride in her job and the company she worked for That's so cool! We reminisced about the old laundromat and the good old days. How she lives right on the corner and seen it all come and go. Then she bid me a chipper goodnight and went on to assist the next patrons who were trying to rush in at the last minute for a late wash. My ears perked up when I heard her ask the guy "Would you like some soap? How many?" What? What is this? I've never heard of this before! Remember when they made you spend 10 times as much to buy a little box of soap, bleach, and fabric softener out of the vending machine in the wall? I was sad she didn't ask me if I wanted any detergent... Then I remembered, she probably saw the massive Costco Tide, Downey, Clorox Bleach, and Lysol Laundry Sanitizer I had with me. I get it. But, it's still nice to be asked. (I'm totaling kinda kidding.) P.S. Do NOT message me and tell me how many funky laundromats I passed by on Irving Street alone driving over here. I KNOW! I just got back from my first time using Laundré and their self-service options. I've been going to a different Laundromat on Divisadero for nearly 8 years and was finally fed up due to old machines, broken coin machines, and homeless sleeping inside. I decided to give Laundré a try and I'm so glad I did. Atmosphere - Not crowded, very clean, friendly welcome and assistance from staff if you need it, chill music playing, indoor seating. I hate doing laundry but if I'm going to be inside of a laundromat for an hour this is where I want to be. Accommodations - Plenty of washing and drying machines to use, plenty of carts to move around your laundry. The machines are also brand new and really good quality. I didn't think better machines would have such an impact on the amount of time required to complete a wash/dry cycle but I was wrong. The drying time was cut down by 2/3 compared to my old laundromat and it's not because it uses extra high heat which can damage clothes, it's because the washing machines are so effective at spinning and getting rid of the water prior to drying. Lastly, one of my absolute favorite things about Laundré's machines are they take credit card right on the machines. No more coin machines!!! (but they have those too if you need them). The "tap to pay" wasn't working with my Chase freedom card and I'm not sure why but I was able to easily swipe the card with no hassle. Price - Based on the quality of the place and the accent over the e in their name I was expecting to pay a lot even for self service. At my old laundromat as a single person the large washing machine would cost me $5.50 and about $2.00 for an hour of drying time. At Laundré the medium size washing machine was $7.50 and I only needed 18 minutes of drying time ($0.75). Essentially the same cost for a MUCH better experience. For those wondering about their "wash and fold" service, I weighed my clothes (single person 1.5 weeks worth of laundry) just to see and it came out to around 21lbs which for the 24 hour service would have been roughly $38 at $1.80/lb Overall I can't recommend this place enough. If you need a laundromat this is the place. I hate doing laundry and this made it tolerable. For some reason whenever I walked by this place on Divisadero I was always a little intimidated thinking it was something more than just a Laundromat (due to the front counter at the entrance and the updated look) but you can truly just walk in and do your laundry, or take advantage of their other services. read more

New to the neighborhood and found this gem! Unfortunately the washer and dryer in my building damaged a few of my clothes! You can rinse/sanitize each washer prior to use. The attendant (darlene I think that's her name) wipes down each washer after each use and they provide free eco-friendly laundry detergent! Dryer cost $0.25 every 6 mins. Washer starts at $5.50 +. washer price also depends on water temperature and how soiled clothes are. User friendly washer and dryer! Accepts cards, attempted to tap my card but it didn't work. They also have wash&fold service which I still have to use when I'm feeling extremely lazy. Free pick up/delivery if you're use the app I think. How lazy can I be if I use their service when I live a couple of blocks away. read more
