Out of service washer

I understand that inflation is a real thing. Before you could can dry 5 minutes for 0.25 cents. Now its 4 minutes for 0.25 cents. The washers are between $3.50-$7. They have had two washers not functionally properly for 6-12 months.

STAY AWAY from the drop-bundle service. I dropped off a Restoration Hardware quilt on which my cat had thrown up. I mentioned the spots when dropping it off, the woman sprayed the spot with something, I don't know what, but she didn't ask and I don't think it needed the spot treatment. She kept repeating that it would cost me $30 to wash and dry. I had dropped this off once before and I knew the cost. So even though I nodded and said yes, that was fine, she kept on repeating the cost as if I was deaf. She was not the same woman who had been there on my previous trip and lacked all of that other woman's good graces, but whatever... HOWEVER, when I went to pick it up yesterday, this is what I got back. Looks like sunlight splashed on my taupe-colored quilt, right? But no, somehow they splashed bleach it, OR it was whatever she sprayed on the quilt. This is a very big spot that goes through to the other side. She tried to gaslight me and tell me that was what it looked like when I dropped it off, which was an enormous falsehood. I cannot believe that they did this. She finally backed down when I adamantly refuted her repeated attempts to assert that I dropped it off that way. So she didn't charge me, but what is $30 to the cost of replacing it at hundreds of dollars? I will NEVER go there again and if you have something you value or is of value, DO NOT take it there. Stay away. I am so angry that they absolutely ruined an expensive item. At this point, it would cost me over $400 to purchase another and I am looking into options with small claims. They should know what they are doing, but apparently don't and based on her trying to gaslight me rather than take responsibility, they don't care either. Be forewarned... go elsewhere, don't let this happen to you and your expensive items.

This review is for the laundromat not the wash and fold. $3 per wash and $2 to dry. For a larger load is $5 per wash and $3 to dry. Several machines are broken and at least one of the change machines is always broken so come prepared. No other amenities other than a couple of old picnic tables (watch out for splinters) and some old magazines.

Not sure if they're in the process of renovating but even when I came here few months back, it still looked the same so I don't think they're in a renovating process or it would have been done by now. Quarters use to give 7 minutes and now they give 5 minutes. You'll get your basic laundry needs done here if you're just coming to wash and dry clothes. I personally haven't used their services but seems like they're great base on other reviews. There's some cute decors around the place now but the place is absolutely filthy which is ironic when it's a place you come to get your clothes cleaned. Machines are dusty, found pet hair or some kind of fur in some machines, floors are dirty, and it looks like someone was sleeping here and left their blanket here. A worker came in and didn't even bother getting rid of it. There's wooden boards around the place too and benches are dirty which sucks if you want to just stay, relax, and wait for your laundry. Some pros: they have a vending machine for snacks and laundry needs and they have a scan and pay on some of their machines.

CHECK YOUR CHARGES! & WATCH OUT IF YOU'RE A WOMEN BECAUSE THE STAFF WILL YELL IN YOUR FACE!…read more This place charges an automatic $15 for EVERY wash & only 40% of the time does it actually refund you the amount it says it cost. BEWARE OF THE MANAGER WHO HAS A RECEDING HAIRLINE AND GRAY HAIR TRYING TO REACH HIS SHOULDERS. HE IS DISRESPECTFUL AND WILL IMMEDIATELY YELL. Noting that this place SAYS it takes Apple Pay, but it actually doesn't work on ANY machine. They don't warn you at all. They wait until you lugged your laundry there, put it in the wash and put your detergent in for you to find out on your own that Apple Pay actually DOESNT WORK on ANY machine. I voiced my disappointment and suggested they put a sign up or something. I spoke to the balding manager in Spanish to keep my feedback between us. He then went ahead and switched to English on purpose (to belittle me because he assumed I didn't speak English) he raised his voice so loud so that the ENTIRE PLACE could hear him in English, he put his hand in the air and pointed at the door and said "IF YOU DONT LIKE IT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!" As a grown woman I have NEVER been yelled that loudly in my life! ( I genuinely feel bad for the women in that mans life, it was waaay to easy for him to default to scream at a women like that). And the short man who was cleaning laughed at me when this happened. Rude men work here!!! All the people in there paused and stared. It was beyond belittling and not a business I will EVER support again. I am part of many Lower Haight communities and have taken the time to tell everyone about this devastating situation this man/business put me in. AND ON WOMENS MONTH! My neighbors and I have now bought a washer and dryer and share it between the building so now nobody goes here. But if you must, I recommend The Hayes Laundry or Fiesta Laundry, who has parking and charges you exactly the price to see displayed. After this I checked my charges and they have been charging me $15 per wash 40% of the time without any refund. They have been stealing money from their customers this entire time. Respect women and your customers!

All but the detergent dispenser with individual boxes of Tide and the like were quarters-only; the washers and dryers accept both coins and credit cards, convenient! It took a few times to swipe my card at the correct angle but I got it. Dryers were HOT so $0.25 for 5 minutes went far. All our clothes were dry in 25 minutes, maybe 30 for heavy towels and jeans. Free parking out back, easy to load up and drive off. Pressed for time? They offer wash & fold. I'll be back soon to do heavy items like my duvet and comforter where these machines do a better and faster job than the three sad machines in my building. My clothes seem a lot cleaner and the chore, completed much faster.
