BUYER BEWARE I've used rinse several times and they have damaged my items 3 times. The first time I chose to have my items hung and dried. They threw the items in the dryer and my items shrunk. I completed a form for my items to be fixed or replaced, the company refused to replace them and gave me a small credit instead. The third and final time, my white workout pants came back with pink spots all over it. I asked to have a manager call me. They sent me a text to complete yet another form. Someone from customer service reached out to give me a refund to replace the item, not including shipping. Also, my clothes were supposed to be picked up on a Sunday evening, somehow the driver forgot to come back by. I do not recommend this company. read more

The laundry room my building is being renovated. I decided to try a service and it I liked them I'd keep it. I have used Rinse 2 times for wash and fold laundry and hang dry. They charge $56/ bag. They do a shitty job! Both times they have lost my clothes. Half my clothes are folded inside out and half the correct way. They overcharge and do not provide a good service. 2 of my neighbors said they had the same bad experience with rinse and use another service which I will probably do when I cancel my rinse membership. I didn't even want them to dry clean my Marc Jacob's coat because I was afraid that would go missing also. Rinse sucks! read more

This is when sarcasm really kicks in... Thanks for removing the stain that wasn't there when it was picked-up from my place and replacing them with holes. Original review: What is there not to love about a dry cleaning and laundry service that picks up and delivers between 8pm and 10pm? Let me count the ways... I used to love Rinse. It was convenient, even with hiccups here and there. I am a realist. No service can be perfect, so I don't expect perfection. Having said that, there was that time when Rinse returned an item, that I had dry cleaned at another cleaner multiple times without any issues, not cleaned because their service partner determined that it couldn't be dry cleaned. Error on the caution, it is annoying but I got it. Pick-ups and deliveries being an hour late... Hey, things happen. I continued on using the service. So, my last pick-up happened on Monday (04.15) and it will be the last pick-up for Rinse. I have used the service enough to know that I get a confirmation email with photos of items they received, usually one day after the pick-up. Great, right? Come Wednesday (04.17) at 5pm, and no confirmation email and my dry clean items are suppose to be ready for delivery on Thursday (04.18). I reach out to Rinse and they advise me that I should've received an email because the cleaning is done and ready to be delivered on Thursday (04.18). I also had an alteration item, which they had assured me in an earlier communication that I would be contacted after they review the piece and before sending out for alteration. Yup, didn't receive any communication about the piece. I ask them to send me the confirmation email with photos of items and to deliver the dry cleaned items with the alteration piece, which they quoted delivery for next Thursday (04.25) after I followed up twice on its status. Their reply? None of my items have been processed (aka: not been dry cleaned) and thus they can't send me the confirmation email with the photos. Wait! You will soon understand why the photos are important part of this nightmare. This was the first time I sent Rinse high-priced ticket items. I wanted to make sure that I can trust them... That they will promptly send photos of items received and not misplace items. So, I used their service for months before trusting them with a Co dress and a Marc Jacobs dress. After getting conflicted status about the items, I ask them to deliver dry cleaned items to me on Thursday as their original quote and include the dress (Marc Jacobs) that was sent for alteration without being serviced. Their customer service sends a text message with an attitude to confirm my request. I mean would you trust the service at this point? I just wanted everything returned to me as soon as possible. When I text to confirm, I receive another text message with another conflicting status on my items. They do have the dry cleaning ready and in their office to be delivered, but now the Marc Jacobs dress may not be available to be delivered even without having it worked on. They would have to check to see if it can be returned to me as I had requested - to be delivered with dry cleaned items on Thursday (04.18) without alteration. You know because they had advised that the dress was still being reviewed. Oh! You will love this part. They finally send me the confirmation email with photos. The Co dress (white) has a big yellow stain in the photo. That dress didn't have a spot when I placed it in the bag for pick-up. Now, I am not into conspiracy theories but... They didn't provide the confirmation email with photos like they have always done in the past until I asked multiple times and only after providing me with conflicted status on the items. The stain is pretty big in the picture... Conspiracy to cover up possible damage to the dress? Perhaps, someone spilled coffee or something while dry cleaning it. But isn't it too much of coincidence that the Marc Jacobs dress may or may not be available for delivery because its status is what... Mystery? One Co dress is stained in their possession. One Marc Jacobs dress is at their partner's facility with its status to be... Just a coincidence that they seem to have trouble with high-priced ticket items? I'm pretty good with numbers, but I lost count on why you should not use Rinse... Haven't you? read more

Do not use Rinse. Their own driver stole my dry cleaning. They left the clothes in front of my door and then took it. I kept texting them at what time they were going to stop by and they never replied. I emailed them and someone replied with a picture of the clothes left in front of my door. They texted me a picture of the drop off, I asked why wasn't this picture texted to me when I was texting the driver. I would have gone outside my door to pick it up. Other times the driver/employee would text me when they made th drop off, this time they didn't. Y'all messed up my order so bad! I only signed up because I was super stressed and exhausted. My towels, sheets, sweatpants, underwear, socks etc. were all dry cleaned. They were supposed to be washed and dried not dry cleaned. Common sense should have kicked in somewhere. I at least should have received a phone call to clarify. It was just stupid to dry clean thongs and socks etc. I feel so violated. Everything that was dry cleaned now has to be re-washed. Avoid Rinse! Customer service is responsive, but they don't know the professional clothes cleaning industry. Rinse just bought ButlerBox. I was hesitant to use Rinse because they don't use the locker system that ButlerBox had in my building - they pick up/drop off at your door between 8-10pm. Their app also doesn't let you select a "launder & press" option - you have to text them to specify that. Decided to give them a try to launder and press my Robert Graham shirts. They were returned folded and looked like they had been folded by someone who had know idea how to fold short sleeve dress shirts (see pic). I contacted them and they picked up the shirts to be pressed, only to have them returned pressed but folded again (not on hangers like every other cleaning service provides). They didn't call me about any problems at any point, and the customer service agent I'm emailing with gives me no explanation. Very nice customer service. Inept service. I used Rinse last month on three occasions. Here were the results: Pick-up 1 - estimated arrival time stopped updating on the website and driver was ultimately 40 mins late allegedly due to a computer glitch. There was no way to contact the driver until they first texted me so I was left hanging for the better part of an hour. Pick-up 2 - an hour wait past scheduled ETA, recieved assurances from customer service that the driver was sorting out being overloaded with bags in their car only to have the driver no-show. Pick-up 2 (attempt 2 ) - clothes were retrieved on time but the rush order from previous attempt was not applied as requested. Luckily customer service was able to adjust after the fact. This is the only order that technically was picked up and delivered without incident. Pick-up 3 - clothes picked up on time, but returned to me with all whites/lights clearly discolored with green spots. They sent a driver to pick up the damaged articles which left me without a number of daily undergarments for that weekend. No one informed me this restoration process was scheduled to take 1-2 weeks! I was incredulous they damaged my clothes and were fully expecting me to wait up to half a month before I'd get them back. After talking to customer service they agreed to speed it up but would not have it ready before a trip out of town requiring me to buy new articles to cover me. The cherry on top was that they then charged me full price for the restoration, partially paying it with the many credits I had accumulated from their previous screw ups. I had been using Rinse for a while. Anyone with a busy schedule would be the perfect customer for Rinse. I write this review disheartened as I had an issue with a delivery. While I mostly use Rinse for Laundry, they also have a Dry Cleaning service and this time was a complete fail. They were scheduled to deliver my dry cleaning on a Friday night, noting it was storming out. I got the text that they were on their way for delivery, but did not get a call from my call box. I checked a few minutes later and saw I just had a missed call, it was only a minute from the notification and usually they would try the call box again - if it went unanswered again, they would reschedule delivery. Well no. This time they decided to leave my dry cleaning (with an irreplaceable vintage shirt in it) hanging OUTSIDE OF MY BUILDING IN THE POURING RAIN. I should have believed the bad reviews. First off, the guys who pick up and deliver are very, very nice, which is where one star comes in. My fiancé and I used this service for a few months. They are very pricy, compared to our local drop off/pick up, but we were using them for the convenience of delivery. First-our clothes came back ok, the first few times. Clean enough. However-they then damaged one of my shirts. Beyond repair. I had to send it back to have it "assessed" before they could determine if they would reimburse us. They kept changing the dates on us, claiming they were using my shirt as "training." In between that, we decided to give them another wash chance. Again-a dress came back with detergent all over it (navy blue dress, stained white patches) and my fiancé's clothes seemed barely clean. After that, we were DONE. They only communicate through text (and for their screw ups, they never update you or reach out first) and email (poorly via email.) The second star is because they did get the stains (they created) out of the dress and they did eventually reimburse us for my shirt (that someone had clearly cut a hole through...) I used Rinse for 9 months and in that time have had nothing but problems with them. Dry cleaning being put on the floor in plastic bags that weren't sealed, pieces of cardboard on "clean" suit jackets, etc etc. When they supposedly "lost" over $1,000 worth of dry cleaning, that was the final straw. One of the items was a Christmas stocking with the Star of David on it. Rinse had never lost any of my items before, but the first time I tried dry cleaning that stocking, they did. They said them "losing" my dry cleaning wasn't an act of antisemitism, but they also have no idea what happened to it, so I'm not convinced. Rinse did reimburse me $1,000 ($42.95 less than the total value of the items lost because they cap their liability at $1,000). Some of the items were irreplaceable though. After all of the problems I've had with Rinse, and this last incident in particular, I can safely say I will never be using their service again, and I would urge others to think twice too. read more

I guess this is an ok business if you're fine waiting up until after 11 pm for your dry cleaning to arrive. They say they will deliver your clothes between 8 - 10 pm (which is already pretty late but whatever). And then every time you're waiting for a delivery, they will tell you there's been a delay. Also they claim you can reschedule your delivery date for an earlier date after you schedule a pickup, but that is a lie. So don't expect rush service here. I also think it's just so manipulative to promise you can reschedule for an earlier delivery only after your clothes have been picked up and are now out of your control, only to be told it isn't possible. Wow... Rinse is the worst company and definitely a scam. They are completely uncommunicative and never answer their phone. I stopped using them earlier this year because they destroyed a sentimental cotton tee shirt of mine (it was bright white and they washed it with something that was dark in color and stained it irreparably.) After hemming and hawing for days on end, I finally got them to send me the replacement value of the shirt (it is not replaceable). After getting sick, I decided to trust them again because I desperately needed clean laundry and couldn't do it myself. This time, instead of bringing back both bags of my clothes, I only got one. They never notified me of any changes either and the poor delivery girl couldn't even get ahold of anyone. Jason hasn't even been reading my requests to look into a missing load of laundry... one that was sent in photos to my roommate but yet they are still telling me they do not have. I have sent them photos of the text conversation that they had with my roommate, including the picture of my laundry as well as descriptions. Meanwhile they're telling me there is no load recorded but they gave me a $20 credit. I hardly ever write a bad review unless it's completely warranted, and I understand that people are going tHrough, but regardless I am still a paying customer and I should not be treated with disrespect for SOMETHING I AM PAYING FOR. The second to last time I told myself it was going to be the last time I used them since I found some random guys tshirt in my own laundry. I got a little weirded out finding someone else's clothes, but it made me question my own clothes. I have a lot of expensive clothes that I would hate to have land in someone else's clothes and then them not have the audacity to contact rinse and give it back. Just a thought. Anyway this isn't about that- this is my really poor experience I had with the delivery driver, Chris. Like most people, life and work just got too busy and I didn't have time to do all of my laundry. Rinse had given me aa $5 credit for finding some rando's shirt, so I decided to use it. So I set I set up the pickup and the delivery. They picked it up no problem, but delivery was a different story. I left delivery instructions because I knew I may not be home when they came. I got a deliver window of 9:10 pm to 9:40 pm. (Pictures of the texts are attached). I had a yoga class that was going from 7:30 pm- 8:50 pm. I was going to be back in time or at least done with the class to unlock my front apartment door. SO I THOUGHT. Fast forward to after my yoga class and I turn on my phone at 9:04 pm to it being BLOWN UP by the rinse delivery driver Chris, followed by several Voicemails and calls. I call him back immediately only to have Chris answer the phone YELLING and SCREAMING at me on how he has been calling me a billion times and I wasn't answering. I didn't even have a chance to get a word in until he was done yelling. I took a deep breathe and responded calmly telling him that I left delivery instructions since I knew I wasn't going to be home. Again, he responded with his rudeness and yelling saying that he can't just leave it even though I asked him too. II was so upset that I hung up on him. 2 minutes later I get another call from him now acting *calmer* saying that "oh the call dropped," and then he proceeded to talk to me as a five year old giving me insstructions on how he was going to use my apartment callbox to open the door for him. I let him in and that was it. I know this seems crazy to be counting down the minutes of this, but if you tell a customer a window of time that they need to be available to answer the phone, then I'm going to adhere to that. That is what I AM EXPECTING. Doesn't this service make all of its money out of CONVENIENCE for the customer? After the whole commotion I get a text asking to leave a tip for him. Yeah, after that it's going to be a no. On top of all that, I realized he didn't show up to my place during the WINDOW that I should be available. I did NOT receive a text from rinse like I usually do that says that the driver is early and that they'll wait until the window if you can't accommodate. To say I'm EXTREMELY disappointed, is an understatement. I thought long and hard about posting this review, but found that I was still upset about this and NO paying customer should go through this. I am a first time customer and was recommended by a co-worker to utilize Rinse services due to the benefit of not having to drop off and pick up dry cleaning. First off, they texted to pick up our items at around 8pm. He did not show up until past 10pm, apologizing as to how busy a night it was. This is not beneficial for a business especially when servicing a first time customer. Many other things went wrong: I had an Agent Provocateur neglige altered because a strap broke. Once I got it back, I noticed the poor quality of sewing. My mother could do better for free. Furthermore, they washed it which I specifically said do not wash. Most importantly, my boyfriend had 17 pricey button down work shirts (e.g. Hermes) that were supposed to be laundered. They were not. They were dropped off in one plastic bag, FOLDED! WTF? Do not work shirts that should be dry cleaned come hanging in plastic? Additionally, they were shrunken and off color. My parents owned dry cleaning businesses in NYC. This would never happen. HORRIBLE SERVICE. The cherry on top: A lone sock came with our bundle. This sock was not ours. Gross. Next we got an email receipt from Rinse, with pictures of our 3 dry clean items (mine) and the 17 other shirts of my boyfriends that were labeled as 11lbs "wash and fold." Meaning we could have washed his shirts in the beauty of our own home with the towels and underwear for free. No Rinse necessary to shrink expensive work shirts. We tried. Their delivery people are very nice especially Renato, and the customer service reps try to be helpful but the actual laundry service is worse than horrible. I had a subscription with them for while. At first they were pretty good but then Oy. Some of the issues: They clearly washed my clothes with other customers. I'd get some my clothes back scented though I requested hypoallergenic & no softener. I once got someone else's clothes back with mine. And it took several days for them to pick this person's clothes up even though I told in a few minutes after the load was delivered. I've had the send my clothes back looking like a child folded them a couple of times. I've had the wrong detergent used several times. I have allergies to most artificially scented cleaning products. I've had them not do all the laundry but just stuffed some of it in a bag. I've had them lose a load of laundry. It was found a couple of days later. The last time I used them they sent all my whites and some lights back grey and blotchy. Some of clothes weren't done and they lost a brand new outfit. And to top it off they delayed doing my laundry for 24 hours and returned the loads late. You may be wondering why I stayed with them for months. Mostly it was because in the time COVID, everyone working is overwhelmed and every time I had an issue, they credit me a bag and offer to fix the issues for no charge. Except this last time, when the only credited me back the cost (without tax lol) of the new outfit I bought, though they had damaged a whole load. Don't use them. I've been getting my clothes dry cleaned for over 25 years and have never encountered a service that was less transparent about pricing. I must have asked 5 times between pickup and drop off what my total cost was and they wouldn't tell me. Even when the person dropped off my clothes, there was no itemized receipt. Eventually I complained to customer service again and she finally gave the price. I was given a link to a general price list at some point (after I complained) - the prices are not that competitive plus the lack of price transparency really bothers me, especially when you have to ask multiple times and they are so cagey about it. The only reason that I didn't give them one star is that my clothes *seem* dry-cleaned and the drivers who dropped off and picked up were professional and nice. (I did advise the driver who dropped off my clothes that he should start looking for another job b/c I don't see this business model succeeding in the long term.) This service is awful. I was with them for over a year because they were the only company doing laundry pick up and drop off in my area. My whites came back dull and grey, there were pen stains once all over my clothing, my bag smelled like weed on one occasion, and the drop off was routinely arriving after 9:30... sometimes even after 10pm!! The last straw was when my card was declined due to the fact that it was hacked, and they refused to reinstate my account with the rollover bags (all of which I paid for in full, simply because I did not update my payment (new card) All in all, I would never recommend-this company and am so grateful there is competition in my area. *** 3.5 stars **** The Good: 1) Prices are very reasonable. Comparable or less compared to your typical dry cleaner. 2) Could not be more convenient, especially if you work a regular 9 to 5 type schedule. They give you a hook to hang on your door so you don't even have to be home for drop off (or pick up, I'd imagine, after the first visit, when they introduce themselves and provide you with 3 personalized cleaning bags). They come between 8 and 10 pm. 3) They did a great job with my black work trousers. 4) Lots of updates via text - when they are coming, that they are on the way, that they have picked up or dropped off - this could be viewed as annoying by some, but I'm okay with it on a day that I plan to use the service. 5) Easy to set up pick up. The Bad: 1) Once you use them once, they text you incessantly (any time there is a cleaner in the area). 2) My white shirt came back not looking like it had been cleaned at all. I'm not sure if the stains are just permanent, and if no dry cleaner would have been able to get the stains out, but this was disappointing. Would I use it again? Sure, due to pure convenience, for basic items, but probably not for some of my nicer items or those with tougher stains. read more

Too many long messages back and forth with Customer Support getting ridiculous answers so now I'm too lazy to put the whole comment here. If you are trying this service for the first time make sure is not an important order, give them some buffer time to disappoint you first. read more

THIS IS A SCAM! I sent in all of my baby's clothes to get washed because my washing machine broke. This company decided to "upgrade" me to dry cleaning without telling me. I was expecting to pay like $30 for the regular laundry, but they charged my credit card over $100! The delivery driver was also very rude. read more

My boyfriend and I have been using Rinse for a few months now and because of our busy schedules, we like the convenience of having our clothes picked up/delivered for dry cleaning. The quality of the cleaning and expediting of the clothes is not the best. On one occasion, one of my boyfriend's shirts was returned with a broken button and grey/black stains that weren't there before. The company also offers a rush delivery for $5 which they promise a 48 hour turn around for dry cleaning. We had our laundry picked up Friday evening and requested a Sunday rush delivery (48 hours) as we will have work on Monday. I received a confirmation via text that they will have our items delivered for Sunday. I then receive and email today (Sunday), the day I am expecting the clothes to be delivered, that they cannot deliver until Tuesday. They offered me a credit of $10 for the inconvenience, however that will not cover the cost of me and my boyfriend having to buy new clothes so we will have something to wear to work on Monday and Tuesday. UPDATE: I've changed my rating from 1 to 4 stars based upon the fact that yes, there were some issues with my services, however they did their best to rectify my issues and have credited me for the inconveniences. I appreciate their efforts and prompt responses with emails. read more

I decided to treat myself to a laundry service as a Christmas gift to myself. I was feeling decadent. This is not a service I can afford regularly, but it seemed like something special after a hard year. They lost ALL OF MY CLOTHES. Not some. All. Merry Christmas! I might as well have dumped my laundry off at Goodwill. In the process of receiving updates on the search for my items, it has become painfully apparent that I am far from alone here. They messaged me with the picture of another lost bag (not mine). It's my impression that this happens quite frequently. Just scroll down these reviews if you're wondering. Everyone I've interacted with has been lovely and helpful, and I appreciate that I have actual humans responding to me instead of robots. I'm sure they are all doing their best, mistakes happen. But this is not an acceptable mistake. For a service designed to clean people's clothes, not losing ALL OF THE CLOTHES seems like it should be a pretty high priority. Basically the number one priority. This shows an incredible level of irresponsibility and disrespect for their clients. Worth noting that they offered me "free rush delivery" at the last minute. Perhaps this need for speed accounts for the carelessness. There's nothing I can write that will bring my clothes back, but I hope this will stop someone else from making the same mistake. Jason was absolutely AMAZING! He came and help me with all of my clothes by far the best experience I've ever had I will definitely continue to use Rinse for all my wash and fold needs he was very thorough very helpful and always gives me a breakdown of the upcoming promotions and services he is by far extremely friendly and a great delivery driver I wish he could be on my route all the time but when I do see him I am very excited!!
