A year ago I took my mink coat in to get a new REVERSIBLE lining. Updated buttons etc etc. I picked it up July 2024 ABs the buttons and lining seamed ok. Fast forward to this year during the coldest weeks we've had in a minute, I took the mini coat out and on trying it in a button came off And a tear appeared in the front of the coat. I am a stage 4 cancer patient in remission but I have a lot of days in hospital so I didn't immediately take it back. Today on good faith for their work I went in and explained the situation. Upon looking under the lining the situation was even worse than it appeared. The workers were completely incompetent. The management refused to honor their work stating its been a year and anyone could have done the bad with after them? Now, why would I spend $320 dollars with Cleaners LA to go have someone else do more work? I had no need to wear the coat until now and they REFUSED to fix their terrible workmanship! It should have lasted another 5 yrs at least! I can only hope to help someone else from making the same mistake as me. read more

I strongly advise against using this place. I dropped off my wife's dress, and when we came to pick it up, it was damaged in the front and back. Despite providing photos of my wife wearing the dress the night before, clearly showing it was not damaged, they claimed the damage was pre-existing. The dress was shipped to a facility in downtown LA without our knowledge, and we were pre-charged for the dry cleaning service. Their photos were taken at a place in downtown LA the day after we dropped off the dress in Venice. We believe the dress was damaged sometime between drop-off and when they took their photos. To add to the frustration, my wife received a call from a staff member who initially acknowledged that the damage wasn't visible in their photos but later denied having the conversation. Their customer service is severely lacking. The dress was dropped off on 6/26/24, and as of today, 7/9/24, we still do not have the dress back or a claim form. We spoke to the staff member there twice in person and they refused to let us speak to a manager over the phone, telling us the manager would say the same thing and advising us to send an email instead. We are considering further action against this company. This shop is a front for some other place that actually does the dry cleaning in downtown LA. Do not trust them with anything of value. read more

When I called Cleaners LA, the rep advised me that the driver will be late, but will be there "sometime around 6 pm" and advised that someone will call me. As several other reviewers have mentioned, I'm unsure whether there is any actual cleaning done. Dropped off a pair of trousers with a few small spots. Pants were returned pressed, but still dirty. They offered to "try again" to clean the pants but refused to expedite, and refused to refund the cost of dry cleaning. Very frustrating experience. I'd avoid this dry cleaner. read more

You have no idea how rare it is to come across a tailoring outfit that can handle blind stitching, silhouette reshaping, full waistline removal, zipper cutting, removing 6 inches in length, redarting and then fully reconstructing using the originally designed seam lines - most places just flat out told me no. I was texting V before I drove over to make sure they could handle it. Just by the way he asked questions and told me what they'd need to check on the skirt to be sure it was possible, it was clear he understands high end garment construction. He also clearly understood the material and finishing treatments on this wild Rick Owens runway skirt. No wonder, they also make clothes!!!! The price charged for that level of alteration and turnaround (4 days) was incredibly fair. To know my skirt is in the right hands -- you can't even pay more to get that level of work most places. On May 18 2022 I dropped off several items that I needed to have dry-cleaned. I was asked if I was in a rush and I told them no and they said they will have it ready Monday by 5pm and would be delivered to my home. Monday, May 23rd comes... they called me at 7:42pm to tell me that they are not done with my dry cleaning and still have the comforter and some pants to finish. Tuesday, May 24th comes... they called me at 7:18pm to tell me it was done and they will deliver it. The clothes are NOT clean. There is now a blue pen mark on one of my shirts, I don't even use a blue pen ever. The white dress shirt is dirtier than it was when I dropped it off. It has black marks on it. It's not acceptable. The comforter isn't even clean nor are my dress pants. Did you guys wash the clothes with dirty water and throw them on the floor? read more

This happened quite a while ago and I'm posting now because I see it was still in my drafts. I was a first time customer since I was house sitting for some friends while they were traveling Europe. I selected Cleaners LA because of the generally good reviews. Brought in a pair of pants to be altered and called a few days after the original pick up date and it still hadn't been altered. They promised it would be completed within the week. Again gave it a few extra days and still not done. Fed up after waiting just short of a month and I just picked up my slacks and took them somewhere else and they had them done in two days. High prices and bad service = lost business. read more

Was a long time, loyal customer to Cleaners LA. They did several simple tailoring jobs for me but mostly a LOT of dry cleaning. I always had minor issues. Items were often returned with dog hair on them (we don't have a dog) and my boyfriend would have to spend time lint rolling our items upon return. No big deal, I thought, since they're right on my way home from work the convenience outweighed this. Then I noticed a couple of items didn't fit exactly right after bringing them home. I thought maybe it was me and dismissed it. Then, I took a flannel my boyfriend has NEVER washed and it came back obviously laundered instead of dry cleaned! It was a complete transformation! It ruined the crisp, fresh-from-the-store look it had always had since the day he bought it. And worst of all, it shrunk! Badly. That was when I put together that they had definitely been laundering shirts I had sent out for dry cleaning. In all my time dry cleaning NOTHING has ever shrunk but all of a sudden my items are too small...hmm. So, I did what I thought was the right thing and I reached out to Cleaners LA both in person and via email. I asked to be refunded for my last two orders and the cost of the two shirts that had obviously been laundered (not even that expensive, tbh) No response. After years of being a loyal customer (I even used to carry their business cards!) NOTHING. So disappointing. Do not recommend anyone who would drop the ball so badly on customer service after making such an obvious error. Plus the quality of the service has never been great. Cleaners LA got all the stains out of my soon-to-be wedding dress! The dress was first worn in 1990 and had a few coffee stains. They were able to get out all the stains on the skirt with the exception of a stain on the sleeve, but that stain shouldn't matter after the dress is tailored. 10/10 recommend. read more

I've never been to a dry cleaner before, but the experience was nice and easy for the 4 pieces I brought in. This place is super airy (two stories, the alterations happen on the mezzanine). I appreciate the advice and ease of process of the services. All the pricing was upfront when you ask, and the turn-around times are reasonable. I have an old Apolis cotton jacket of mine that had two gashes in the back... and are now miraculously gone, idk how they matched it so well!
