Absolutely the loveliest experience and service! Lately all I do is work & sleep and doing my own laundry was just not my reality SO I called around and looked at reviews and everyone seemed to love this place so I have them a try. Around 6pm dropped off about 20lbs of wash/fold with a few items to be hung dry. They said it would be ready by 6pm the next day- AMAZING!!! I had a few items of dry cleaning which would be about a week (either they send it out or they had a lot of items to dry clean, I'm not sure) but either way I came to pick it up a week after they said it's be ready (changing work schedules and they're closed on Sundays FYI) but even still I was remembered by name even though I'm a new customer. Their pickup/drop off service is also a dream and I can't wait to take advantage of it. It's a little pricey however it's a convenience I'll gladly pay for to not spend my precious non-working time doing laundry. Beginning with the first load of laundry I brought over to Laverie, Nara displayed the utmost professionalism and excellent customer service. She patiently answered all my questions and shared tips on which detergent might work best for our needs. Since my wife and I have sensitive skin, we opted for the unscented detergent. Laverie does a great job getting clothes cleaned and neatly folding them for easy transport. It's remarkable how their expert folding can convert a big lumpy laundry bag full of dirty clothes into two neat little rectangular packages with built-in carry handles full of professionally folded clothes. NEW CUSTOMER REVIEW: I had never ever in my life ordered laundry service, much less have someone pick up and drop off my unmentionables. However, after finding Laverie on Yelp and seeing all the positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. I am currently working 12+ hours from home, and the last thing I want to do is laundry on my spare time. This is why I opted to invest in this service. I initially called to ask some additional questions because I was honestly weary about having someone do my laundry. Len answered all my crazy questions, but I still wasn't ready to dive in. A few days later, once I slept on it, I filled out the online order service and followed it up with a phone call. Len picked up and my order had gone through immediately. I had ordered Wash & Fold plus Wash & Hang Dry. I wanted my laundry to be picked up and then delivered when ready. Len was super helpful, kind, and transparent about the whole process. Then my interaction with Laverie transitioned to texting, which is just so super easy and accessible. Len confirmed pick up time, and she actually came and got my clothes since their driver was running a bit behind. Either way, pick up was on time and off my laundry went with her. I opted to get it picked up on Wednesday and returned by Friday to allow my Wash & Hang Dry clothes to fully dry. There was an option for 24 hour service, but my clothes would have come back damp, and I didn't want that---but if you are okay with that, that is an option. So, the next day, I send Len a text to check in about final cost. I expected it to be more than if I did my own laundry, but not crazy expensive. For 19 lbs of Wash & Fold plus 9 lbs of Wash & Hand Dry, I ended up paying over $65...and I tipped. The price still makes me go ughhhh, but I literally filled out a form, sent a few texts, and like magic my laundry was done for me, so I can't complain. I never even left my house! My laundry was delivered at the agreed upon time in a nice bag with pink tissue paper plus neatly hung items. I drove 20 min to drop off two items. They told me my items are designer so it's a markup from the listed prices (from $8 to $20 for dry cleaning one silk blouse). A few days later, I got a call and they said to pick up my items and they are "rejecting" my items and won't dry clean my blouse and jacket. No reason given. No apology given. This is a 40 min round trip waste of a time. Apparently- of their own admission- they are not competent enough to dry clean designer items. read more

I have been relying on Laverie for several years living downtown. It's been so long I can't remember, but at least the 5 years I've lived in the historic core and going back before then. Pick up and delivery are always reliable with great communication - I coordinate everything via text. The quality is fantastic and all preferences are honored (unscented, no fabric softener, etc). As others have mentioned items are meticulously folded and packaged in a way that this self-admitted germaphobe with ocd tendencies can feel good about. I am writing this now from a bed with clean sheets and clean pajamas, having taken a shower with a clean towel - simple pleasures in a complicated time. If you have a lot of laundry and are quite busy, especially during this quarantine working from home - their pick up & drop off service is a game-changer. Communication is easy and efficient through text when your driver is on his way. Doing laundry this way is an investment that obviously costs more than doing your laundry yourself, but time itself is so valuable, and the time and effort Laverie saves me has completely improved my quality of life! The facilities are spotless, unlike some other fluff & folds in the area with shared machines in Los Feliz. On top of that, they use clean products and you can opt for scent-free, which I always do! *UPDATE- PER RESPONSE And their/your response below to the things mentioned are reason and explanation enough as to why I didn't have even the slightest bit of confidence in leaving my items with them beyond that. There was absolutely no care for a customer's concern, or accountability on their/your end, despite me giving you all multiple chances to do so. And went even further by accusing me of lying about how the clothes ended up in the condition they were in, (Like they've done again below.) I'm 100% sure that it would have proved just as fruitless leaving them as it was when I mentioned it to you, with the clothes in hand and reference pictures of how the items should. A horrible way to treat customers, though a good way to lose them. Okay, not sure where all of the positive dry cleaning reviews came from but I had the worst experience I've ever had for dry cleaning. My GF was taking her clothes there for fluff and fold and despite a few mistakes on her clothes, they did relatively okay. I decided to try out their DRY CLEANING service. It would've condensed our trips and only made sense. So, I drop off roughly $600 or so of my clothes to them for DRY CLEANING. You know, some items that I'd prefer to keep in a certain type of shape that washing would compromise. When they were done, I go pick them up. Paid the $100 for the ticket and went about my business. Like everybody else, I dry clean after clothes are worn, not when I want to wear them, so in all honesty, it'd been a short while before I even pulled out an item from that batch to wear. To my surprise, it didn't fit anymore. "Weird" I thought. Of course this made me pull the other items I'd taken to them out of my closet. THEY'D SHRUNK ALL OF MY CLOTHES AN ENTIRE SIZE. So, on the next trip there - remember, my GF was still using the fluff and fold - I took the clothes that were shrunk, along with some reference items. (I take my clothes seriously) When I showed them to the lady, she took pictures and said she was gonna show them to the owner because, "we send our dry cleaning out and she has to talk to them." Uhhh, okay. When we went back to talk to the owner she had never saw the pictures and asked if we could come back, with the clothes later so she could take them up to the cleaners so they could "try fixing them by stretching them back out to size." Didn't like that idea but the clothes are already ruined so I wanted to see how far they'd take this. Okay, so we go back, on the day we're supposed to. Of course the owner wasn't there and I was expected to leave my clothes, no receipt, no voucher or anything. Decided against that as the way they'd handled the situation thus far hadn't instilled any confidence that they'd sort it out or not lose/misplace any of the items. Needless to say, that was and will be our last time at Laverie for either dry cleaning or fluff and fold. They also tried passing the buck, blaming the DRY CLEANERS, which I get but I didn't drop off my clothes to the dry cleaners, nor did I pay them or pick them up from there. They handled the situation horribly and tried to make me feel like I was trying to scam them for a $200 refund despite the roughly $600 in clothes I literally had to giveaway because of them. Definitely wouldn't go to LAVERIE for dry cleaning, nor would I recommend you go. read more

The items shrunk by the DRYCLEANER YOU CHOOSE TO OUTSOURCE TO are specialty pieces that can't be replaced. And to be honest, this feels ANTI-BLACK. I will not return. -- I've used LAVERIE's fluff and fold for a year during lockdown--even after I took a pair of designer tie dye sweatpants to them and they BLEACHED THEM WHITE because they thought they were stains instead of a pattern. *insert shocked face emoji* I let it go as I felt there were more pressing concerns in the world at the time. They were sorry. THEN... my expensive white towels that are less than a year old started ripping apart because they were OVERBLEACHING THEM AND DESTROYING THE FIBERS. I brought this to their attention and they were sorry, but offered no compensation whatsoever. THEN, one of the women who works there asked me an inappropriately personal question that left me feeling very strange. But the final straw was when my boyfriend brought his high-end sweatpants and sweatshirts for dry cleaning and they SHRUNK THEM AN ENTIRE SIZE. He brought in his regular clothing for comparison, they took photos, but after THREE TRIPS in person to get it resolved, they just kept saying come back when the owner is here. (This is after he talked to the owner and she claimed they don't do the dry cleaning onsite as an excuse.) I decided to never again give them my business. I can't stand by a business that will lose a customer who has spent hundreds of dollars because they refuse to do the honorable thing when they mess up the clothing you place in their care. read more

I have never used a laundry fluff and fold service much the less a pick up service, but when my friend recommended Laverie, I thought I'd give it a try. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Their customer service was excellent. They communicated clearly and with friendliness via text usually. The pick ups when smoothly and they were respectful of the social distancing "rules", keeping a distance and wearing a mask. The laundry itself was cleaned and folded nicely. They even nicely ironed my blazer and delivered it hanging. I would definitely recommend Laverie to my friends and family. Fabulous service at Laverie! My cat unfortunately peed on my brand new duvet, so I got overpriced quotes from businesses all over DTLA, Ktown and surrounding areas and decided on Laverie. They offer quotes via text, which is what sold me. I was able to send over my description and a photo and received my $30 quote in minutes. I dropped off at 1pm and picked up my good as new duvet the next day at 6pm. They offer unscented and scented options for the detergent used which was an added bonus. I chose the alpine scent, which was extremely subtle (hardly noticeable really) and was satisfied. The duvet didn't smell like bleach or other chemicals at all and is as fresh as when I purchased. 10/10 recommend Laverie for any dry cleaning or laundry services! read more

Having my laundry done frees up so much time. The price is worth it. The folks at Laverie do an amazing job. They're always reliable, and they show a lot of care, from pick-up, to washing & drying my laundry (also dry clean), to folding/hanging the clean clothes, and finally, the delivery. They've taken everything I've sent to be washed, not just clothes/sheets. For example, they've cleaned my dog beds, hats, and pillows. They know what to do with all kinds of fabrics. I can count on them on doing a great job washing and ironing my husband's uniform. Nick & Joseph (pick-up & delivery guys) are nice, friendly, and professional. They come on time, but when they're running a bit late, it's not very late, and they give notice. When it rains, they take care that the clothes don't get wet. During the covid-19 pandemic, they take sanitary and social distancing precautions. They have a rewards system too, 10 stars (spend $30 or more for each star) get you $20 off the next service. I wish I remember her name - the very kind woman who answers the phone & texts. She's very sweet and accommodating. I once had an emergency, and Laverie was gracious enough to postpone my delivery by an hour, despite very short notice. Best of all, being a regular customer, I feel valued & appreciated. There are other times Laverie accommodated last minute requests. That shows how much they really care about their customers. I used to do my own laundry and would have to plan a full day to get it done. After switching to Laverie, I saved so much time and my laundry looks better than when I did them myself. I love this place :) I had come here a few years ago and had a great experience and after yesterday I wanted to come here and give them a great review. My washer/drier is broken so my BF and I needed some laundry to tide us over until its fixed. I dropped it off 10am and picked it up 6:30pm same day! My clothes always come back way cleaner then when I wash them at home. A huge plus for me is my laundry doesn't come back reaking of tide detergent. Just clean! Another big plus for me is they will hang things to air dry if you ask. I have things I dont like to go in the drier and they will hang them so when I pick up they can finish drying at home. Such a relief because I know my stretch items won't get zapped in the drier. Overall I feel really confident dropping my things off here, and while its not in my budget to come here for all of my laundry, I know when Im in a jam this is such a comforting option. read more
