Though this might sound overstated this family run business makes this stretch of Sunset Boulevard feel like a community and not just a place. The mother (whose name I forget) doesn't talk much, but the two brothers, David and Paul, remember all their customers names and are so friendly and hard working. I've haven't used them for dry cleaning, but the wash and fold service is great. They almost always turn the laundry around the same day (especially if they know you are a regular). Parking looks difficult but you can pull in and block some cars at the taco spot, if you are dropping off quickly. I've never had a problem. David and Paul even come out to grab your laundry sometimes if they recognize your car. Support them. Rent on Sunset Boulevard isn't cheap, and the high end clothing stores and restaurants collecting around them I'm sure have made renting harder. read more

This place is a joke. Went to the fluff and fold and received back with my sports bra either cut or ripped. That's not even the worst part, when, contacting them to request a refund, they put me through all these steps of taking photos from different angles, emailing it to them just to then tell me that I need to drop it off in person. Absolutely no customer service and when I refused to come in in person and offered to FaceTime, they then asked me to send it by mail. Like you damaged my stuff and then wants me to go through all these inconvenient steps just to get $28 back. Save yourself the hassle and just don't go there. read more

Super friendly, timely and helpful service. They quoted 2 hours and were done in an hour and a half. My only hang up is just that you have to find street parking, which luckily because of the pandemic there's no one around so it's pretty easy to find close by but I think pre covid it would be a little more difficult. Other than that it's a super great spot to get your laundry done. They took great care of me and messaged me as soon as they were finished and even helped me load it out to my car! And there's cool shops and eateries nearby so if you feel like hanging out and waiting there are plenty of places around to kill time and a rad ass taco spot right next door. read more

I tend to let everything get away from me and end up with 2 trash bags of dirty laundry at the end of every month. They will take my clothes in practically any condition, even covered in wet cat hair, and somehow everything comes out perfect. I have only every done the was-fluff-and fold there. The good: David, one of the brothers, is super friendly. He texts you when you're laundry is ready and cheerfully offers to carry your clothes. Everything is exposed, so you can see what's happening. They are fast, often getting back to you same day. I used them at least a dozen times as a laundry service. They have an easy parking lot. The bad: The other brother, whose name I do not know, is not nearly as friendly or competent. They lost my laundry bag once, but then it was found. My clothes started to come back very wrinkled, they like they had been sitting out smushed for a long time before folded. The ugly: I share this with a heavy heart, as I don't like the idea of hurting someone's business who clearly works hard. I went in the back door/parking lot. The mother was inside folding laundry on a table. A small, very mean dog was on the very same table. My friend tried to pet him and he snapped at her. It was a little disturbing that the dog was on the table, but then it got worse. They gave the dog a treat and he waltzed across the table and nestled on top of some poor woman's fancy, folded, clean underpants. He snuggled in and chewed on his toy and the staff carried on as if this was normal. I said, "Um, I think that's unsanitary," pointing to the dog. They quickly shooed him off. This was too much for me and I will not be returning. I now imagine all of my underwear covered with dog butt. read more

I dropped off a load of laundry this morning - 1 comforter and one set of sheets- for fluff and fold. I was told it would be $18- $20. When my boyfriend went to pick it up, he was charged $48. It wouldn't cost $48 to have that load of laundry dry-cleaned! After responding to the boy's irate text, I spent the last 30 minutes trying to call this business and NO ONE IS ANSWERING. Super sketchy. I will never use this business again and encourage you to avoid it too! ------ Edit: 01/10/14 We went in this morning to clarify the charges at the Fluff n Fold. They did an AMAZING job, but the dramatic change in price was frustrating. After a brief conversation, we were refunded $20. Still not totally psyched on the experience, but happy to round up and not dock points after having this rectified. read more

I've been using this fluff n' fold on and off since 2012. I made the huge mistake of taking my clothes to a laundry service in Glendale (review on my profile) where a pair of pants temporarily went missing and my work shirts were destroyed. The experience brought me back to Sunset Laundry with the quickness! They are, bar none, FANTASTIC. I usually drop my clothes off on Saturdays and they're always ready within a few hours. David Kim texts you to let you know they're ready. The service is what brings me back. David is always friendly and chatty, and he always offers to take my clothes to my car. My clothes are always perfectly dry and smell fantastic, and they separate all my clothes by type. I have to compare, because it's the only way people will see the quality of service here. The Glendale fluff n fold is about 30 cents cheaper by the pound, but they don't use good detergent and my clothes were slightly damp the second time they tried to fix my work shirts. They never do same day service, either. Oh! Special note: Yesterday, David returned my clothes and mentioned he saw my work blazer and decided against washing it because it said "dry clean only." He asked if I'd be okay with him washing it next time. I really appreciated this. Taking the time to look at the labels means a lot, especially after I had the Glendale place stain several shirts without any kind of apology. This place is awesome. Use them if you live in the neighborhood! You won't be disappointed!! read more

LOVE this place. Since I don't have a washer or dryer at my home, I use their services serval times a month. They are FAST, NICE and SUPER easy to deal with. They even offer SAME DAY laundry and text when it's ready! Laundry is wrapped in paper packages and folded nicely when you pick it up. BTW: They have never lost anything, they are always friendly, and they know me by name (since I've been going there for the past year). I tell all my friends and neighbors to go here because it saves the trip of doing laundry at one of the local neighborhood laundry mats. read more

Are you like me? Do you really not like paying the really high for the area prices of a certain 90026 drycleaner? Except for really expensive clothing? Well, there is a solution, and almost across the street. I dropped three sweaters, a scarf and two hats off at Sunset for drycleaning and got charged a measly 22 bucks! Most items are $4, I think. I haven't tried their laundry yet but I just might. It was ready in a few days and thus far appears to have come out perfectly. And the service was definitely with a smile. Problem solved. (The only real issue is parking, as I think their only lot is shared with Tacos Delta, but I remedy that by parking up the block. Who knows, maybe someday I'll even WALK!) read more

Since this is what *I* was looking for when I was trying to find a Fluff and Fold in LA, here's some info on the price: I dropped off my laundry this morning. (Haven't gotten it back yet, so I can't speak to the quality). Two weeks worth of clothes, and they said it should be around $15.50. that includes some towels too, so it was fairly heavy. They have an $8 minimum. The prices seem completely reasonable and comparable to New York, which is my basis for cost and ease of use. *EDIT: I got my laundry back and it was only $14! (They even rounded down from $14.30) They are very friendly! I moved away from the neighborhood, but still bring things there from time to time and they remember me and are so grateful. read more

When I first moved to the area, it took a while to find a good fluff and fold; too much perfume, poorly folded, takes 2 days to get done... Thank goodness for Sunset Laundry! Right near my house, my big messy basket of dirty clothes gets returned in teeny tiny white paper wrapped cubes. It's incredible. This is a real friendly neighborhood place. Everyone there knows my name, and on many occasions, I cant get out of my car before Dave or Paul runs out to me and whisks my laundry basket away. Although my laundry can be done in the same day, I usually drop it off and pick it up the next morning. very reasonable prices. Also: a big plus for allergic or sensitive types, they will use detergent you bring to them. I've not tried them for dry cleaning, but my fav for fluff and fold. read more

The staff here is wonderful, remember your name and even text you when your laundry is done. I have the cutest apartment, but no washer/dryer, so this is my go-to place in a pinch for fluff and fold. The fluff and fold services are affordable, about a dollar a pound I think, and it is always done the same day in a few hours. All my clothes look great and come out very clean. I have never lost a garment, had anything look mistreated, absolutely no complaints. In fact, they even match up your socks and wrap up your order and fold it precisely! Wow! Before you use this establishment try calling their phone #.........they don't answer. That should have been my first red flag. This establishment is totally unprofessional and you should use them at your own risk. I used them for fluff and fold 1 time and was happy with the results so I decided to bring my dry cleaning with the fluff and fold. When I went to pick up my order I was charged $25 and I had weighed my fluff and fold at 15#. They charge $1.30 per pound so I complained that I had been overcharged and that I should have been charged $19.50.; the Asian guy who's missing front teeth (only mention this so you'll know him) got mad at me!? After telling him that he should apologize he gave me a lecture about weighing the cloths and then gave me $5 of the $5.50 they overcharged me. I returned the following Monday to pick up my dry cleaning on the day it was promised and he told me it wasn't ready. When I asked when it would be ready he told me Wed. or Thurs. .....a week after I dropped the cloths off. They send their orders out of house and can't give you an accurate pick up date. I asked him to call me so I wouldn't have to keep coming back and they DON'T answer their phone. When they called me a week after I dropped off the dry cleaning the same toothless guy told me the bill was $38.00. This charge was for 4 shirts dry cleaned and 4 shirts they were to launder at their store. When I questioned the high price I was told they didn't need my business. Like I would ever go back there. They "lost" half of my laundry (conveniently all of my nicest shirts) and when confronted with it, said they did not believe me, and would need me to provide receipts for everything to even think I owned those shirts. This place is only for drop off service, on site. Dry cleaning, off site. The private lot is super small and is shared by a busy taco stand. Getting parking here is a crap shoot. I loved that my clothes were folded and packaged in a paper wrapped bundle, but, they lost 2 of my socks, so I lost 2 pairs of socks. Word to the wise: if you do a drop off laundry service, put your socks and undies in lingerie bags! Now, my socks don't get lost any more. Although I liked the paper bundles of clothes neatly folded, it is a waste of paper. The price per pound here is more expensive than in East Hollywood. Just Sayin'. read more

We have been using David and co.'s services for many years now and have had nothing but great experiences. If you are looking to save money, you should probably wash your own clothes but I find David's prices quite reasonable ($20 - $50 depending on the amount of bags brought in).
