I drive from Stockton to Tracy for care because I know Ringer Chiropractic truly cares about my health. Dr. Marlowe has always, without fail, helped me recover from injuries and chronic pain. Most recently Dr. Marlowe has helped me with a nagging hip/back injury I sustained playing sports as well as a chronic shoulder injury. Both were affecting my daily routines and my sleep patterns. Now I'm back on track, able to rest at night, and function better during the day. What a huge relief! Additionally, the other team members from the front desk to the therapy department are first class. What a frustrating experience when I was really sick! I called to the office (Ringer Back & Injury Clinic) to make an appointment when I had a bad pain. My insurance used to cover Chiropractics for many years so I gave them a brief info about this when I called and arrived. I told them I have a X-ray appointment at another Hospital in the afternoon, but they recommended taking it in their office next day. I told them that I will take X-Ray in their office ONLY when my insurance covers chiropractics. What did they say? "No problem, we know your insurance very well and verify the insurance ASAP" I took several services "next day" without any insurance issue. However, one week after....they gave me a big bill for all services since my insurance dropped the chiropractic benefits several months ago. Whatever situations are, they should have verified the insurance as they promised. But I was OK at that time because it's an insurance policy I have. A receptionist even told me that they're going to apply a special rate for uninsured patients. I appreciated. Next day, they changed their words....they are going to charge more than double than the uninsured rate promised. What they said to me is "I don't care...what another receptionist told you..." Yes.....what I heard was "I DON'T CARE..." All staff including the doctor told me that they requested the insurance verification on that day I visited the office for the first time. If they really did, we could avoid any insurance issue. But.... What I found after I contacted my insurance company is that they did request the insurance verification THREE DAYS LATER! Yes, they lied on the above insurance verification date until I found the fact. I asked them "Why did you promise to verify the insurance on the first day....but didn't do it for three business days?" The answer....? "BECAUSE WE HAVE TOO MANY PATIENTS...." Unbelievably, it's their excuse for their lie to the patient. I couldn't believe what I heard.... Patients want to be cared when they are sick...It's a very simple fact. But they provided wrong info to the patient until patient find the fact....Yes, they even INSISTED that they requested the insurance verification on the first day and BLAMED the insurance company's delay on the response....... It's really sad to see this type of "unprofessional" and "I don't care" business in Tracy, e.g., Friendly City. What I can say at this point is that "This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life." "I don't care.." "We have too many patients"... When My wife went to DR Ringer she had been in a car accident. His office staff stated that we would be able to pay for the visits AFTER our court case settled from the accident. The case took 2 years. Before the case settled, Ringer sued us for the cost of the chiropractic. we lost because what they tell you will not hold up in court. READ what you sign. I've been seeing Dr. Ringer for a couple months and he's made my back and neck feel better than they have in 10 years. When I first came to him I was in severe pain and had trouble bending over. It was even effecting my work. Within a couple visits I noticed a marked improvement. I've been to several chiropractors over the years and Dr. Ringer is the first to actually make a difference. I stopped coming to the office for a while because I was actually feeling a lot better. My back and neck wasn't hurting at all. Recently I started doing more office work and sitting all day. I tend to carry most of my stress in my lower back and it literally hurt to walk. I called Dr. Ringer's office and thankfully they were able to accommodate me and get me in that evening. I was seen by Mr. Marlowe for the first time. Obviously I was a bit apprehensive but he did a thorough consult with me and did a quick adjustment and am I glad he did. I had never been to a chiropractor before and was nervous about it and he did anything but put me at ease. I feel he was rude and probably didn't like that I asked a lot of questions and was nervous. Needless to say I didn't even get an adjustment because he told me that it would "absolutely hurt" and then when I said never mind he tells me he was only saying that to give me the worst case scenario and only wants to do it if I'm comfortable. I have been going to Dr. Ringer for many years and haven't ever had a bad experience. He is great at keeping my neck and back at its healthiest and also good for overall advice about other joint issues. If I go in with neck trouble and ask a quick question about a knee or wrist problem, he is willing to give me some basic advice about the possible issue and offer advice. He has also given me information about an ergonomic work station and how to set my seat in my truck to relieve pressure on my back and neck (he went out to my vehicle with me and helped me adjust the seat). The staff is polite and professional and when I changed insurance coverage, they had no problem with getting things straightened out with my new insurer. I haven't ever gotten a surprise bill which every patient which is every insured patients nightmare. I dont think I have ever had to wait more than 5 minutes to see Dr. Ringer and if i did, it wasnt much more. I also like the flexibility of scheduling. If I have an appointment at 5 and find myself near his office at 3, I drop in and the staff fits me in. Dr Ringer is very knowledgeable about anatomy and has helped me with questions/concerns about many muscle groups and joints. I seem to have lots of ailments due to college sports and he has information and advice about them all. I like the fact that rather than just treat the issue with adjustment or stretching (which he does do), he always gives me stretching and exercise home programs to help avoid the problem next time. I had sciatic pain in one of my legs and through stretching, adjustments and exercise it is gone. It took awhile but after sticking with the program I feel better. Neck and back pain can be a very scary issue to deal with and I was nervous when I first visited the office. Now I look forward to my visits. read more
