Booked the room hours before arrival with only past experiences guiding my choices. We booked a queen room with two queen beds, photos showed a fireplace as well... I mean winter in Payson Az demands a fireplace... right? Done... booked... on our way. We arrived just before dinner. Once we pulled up, you see a quaint looking mountain hotel escape with one large two story building and several connecting little cottage looking rooms. The manager who checked us in (please forgive me for forgetting his name) had been very accommodating with our requests for more blankets and a lower level room. He also recommended the local pizza restaurant for dinner within walking distance. Our room was adorable and large! Two queen beds, a couch, fireplace and large vanity area with plenty of space for four. The beds were so comfortable and with the fireplace only, left us with a very cozy evening. Almost felt like you were in a secluded cabin in the woods. Also, I won't forget to mention, breakfast was included! Eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, biscuits, and gravy... so much to choose from. My husband has decided that this will be our "go-to" in Payson from now on. Thanks Majestic Mountain Inn for making our adventure more memorable! See you next time! On sunday they were closed, I had hassle to get contact with the property ( my parents wanted to go on the same day ) I emailed them ,the manager Chris emailed me back and called me to help me book the cabin ! So Thank you very much that ! The reason why I only give four stars is , it was had to reach them over the phone . ( not talking about sunday , I also called Friday left couple of messages and emailed couple time then by end of the day right before they close they called me back ) Other than that ... I am happy my parents are happy and my parents told me they would definitely go there every month spend summer time there .

Paint is coming off our bathroom wall in large chunks. Again, have you heard of paint? Two lamps in our double room, and one is burned out. The security chain on the door is broken off. The floor had big splotches of something dripped on it, it hadn't been cleaned. Vending machines are empty. Outside of stucco building very dirty, as are sidewalks- water does wonders for that. Eventually everything is going to fall apart. It costs more to replace things than maintain them. The customer is not their priority. Pay a few dollars more for a room where you matter.
