The one thing I did notice is a number of the long term RV were a bit messy so it left the feeling of dirty. The owners are very nice and hard working. Nora came by to make sure we were all set. Nora and Sam have not owned it long and are making quite a bit of improvements. My husband loved the nature sounds of the deer, coyotes and other sounds at night as this one is out of town so you get the nature part of camping.

Each site it huge and can accommodate lots of people. There is a covered area that has 6 bench tables, prep table and a large grill. They even have electricity under the prep table. Just a little ways away, near the parking area, are bathroom. Each one has electricity and are lit in the inside. Everything is well maintained. The campground supervisor comes by every night to check in you. This is just to make sure everything is in order and that there isn't random people occupying the space or creating disturbances for the other campers. You may see some cows. The roam around lot. It's worth the drive out. Really nice camp grounds. Would highly recommend it.

In response to management comment: I appreciate the willingness to respond to customer dissatisfaction. You were also a pleasant fellow. HOWEVER, the lack of cleaning wasn't isolated to one room. We had two rooms, and both were filthy. Things looked just like the photos in Jacob C's review from several years ago, which means after the reviews and comments, nothing has changed. THE FOLLOWING ISSUES ARE FOR BOTH ROOMS. Rooms smelled like urine. Edges of carpet had dirt, dead bugs, and lint accumulation. No hard furniture surface was clean, and a wipe with a wet paper towel came back dirty. Microwave had a greasy top and dirty counter area with food crumbs and grease. Inside of refrigerator poorly wiped down, with hair, food crumbs, and grease present. Linoleum floor - well, my photo sums that up, and the entryway linoleum was dirty too, never mopped. Bathroom had been sprayed with disinfectant and wiped with a towel. There was a greasy yellow film on the toilet and sink from the disinfectant that had to be wiped off with a towel. The sink and showers drained poorly, and its not nice standing in 4 inch deep water for your shower. My bathroom had black streaks of what appeared to be mold on the walls. Overall, 1 to 2 hours of deep cleaning per room, and proper maintenance could help turn things around. Sadly, given the several year history of posts about being filthy, I doubt anything will change. To top it off, the beds were very old, completely worn out, and sank deeply in the center, probably 8 to 10 inches, and were uncomfortable.

If you are planning to rent a cabin in Payson, AZ "DO NO FROM CABIN FEVER, AZ" We booked the Wolf Den 9/3/21 to 9/6/21 Once we arrived, something told me to take pictures, so I followed my gut, started tooking pictures of the cabin, driveway, trees, the steps the porch even the frniture on the front porch along with a bucket that was used as an ashtray. Once inside, yes, more pictures. But I was disappointed because it wasn't a true cabin layout; it was like the fake plastic wood to look like logs. Nothing really exciting happened because everything was closed because of a holiday weekend. So we had a pretty good long weekend with family and friends. As we were packing up that feeling came over us, take pictures. Thank goodness we did a few days later. I got a voicemail/call from the owner, Robert Brucato. That he's going to charge me for damages. (Hot tub was torn, couch pillow on the front porch had a cigarette burn, We did not take the trash out to the end of the street.) I'm not going to explain myself in this review, but I do have the pictures. I texted Robert the pictures, and he still charged us, so we put a complaint in our bank, and we got our money back.
