Drake's Burger

Came by while in town right before closing. Was greeted and sat quickly. I had the Drake Burger. It was really good. Got a little bit messy after a few bites but overall I recommend you give it a try! The spot is a vibe I'm sure in a Friday night with the music going it's a good time! I

I've been here a few times, and I love the environments and service here. Zia does an amazing job making drinks and ensuring customers are being served. I've seen her countless times the only one working bar and kills it. I've only tried the pulled park sandwich special which tasted amazing. I will be back to try other food and drinks and would highly recommend this place.

HAPPY HOUR! Had happy hour at Riley's on Sutter and it was a great experience with good service a great ambience and great food and drink! Everything's really festive inside and they have heaters outside if you wanna sit outside. I would highly recommend if you have a family or a group of people to come out over and have some food and drink!

After landing in Sacramento, we were looking for a food joint. Tried a place in downtown Sacramento that didnt work out, so we came here instead on the way to Rescue. Its a really large place. They have a huge outside area as well,as a large indoor area. This place is evidently named after their first rescue Riley. Very beautiful dog. And a very good mission too rescuing more dogs. We ordered several things: 1. Cheeseburger slider- it was ok. 3 of them. It was ok. Nothing special. 2. Calamari- they were really well breaded. I love the crunchiness. It eas really good. 3. Boneless wings- good seasoning. It has a good amount of heat to it. Moist inside. A nice crunch on the outside. 4. Quesa birria taco- they were pretty good. Comes with chips and salsa. 5. Cajun jambalaya- it wasent that good. Flavors were muted. It needed more seafood in it. 6. Wintery cocktail- it was a marshmallow drink. It was really good. Refreshing and light. On the sweeter side. But it was really good. A cool concept restaurant. They can handle large groups. Dogs are welcomed here too. There was somewhat of a wait to order our food even though they werent busy at the time. But super friendly people. Food is good. I thoroughly enjoyed Rileys on Sutter!!

Salmon taco and tots (with fire sauce)

Came in on a Saturday night around 7pm. Greeted and sat promptly. Staff were nice, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. There was a live artist when we were there. Items on menu weren't too expensive, portions were fine. Food items: Salmon tacos: 3.9/5 - Salmon was ok. Felt like a Cajun rub on the salmon before placing in the taco would've upped the score a bit. Felt like it was missing something Tots: they were tots Burger: Friend seemed to like it. Overall, the place was fine. I would try other eateries in the area if we return.

Great food, drinks, and service! The band was amazing, too. I came in for the strawberry matcha drink, which was delicious and tried their signature drink that won me over. Definitely try if you're in the area!

Excellent food, service, and view. Our waitress, Kim, kept refilling our drinks we were never left thirsty. Beast Burger is phenomenal. Great view on rooftop terrace. Good atmosphere. 11/10. Highly recommend to anyone.

Old town Folsom

Had a GREAT time with Thom at Rileys on Sutter in Folsom! Our server, Annie was a rockstar. You could tell this was not her first rodeo. She knew everything about the menu and Rileys (she's been there since opening)....cheerful and friendly as ever. Great service! Thanks Annie! Food was D-Lish... Ahi Salad and a Dip and... did I mention the Espresso martini?! Thanks for the date Tommy

First time visiting and it was a good experience. The food was solid bar/ grill fares- classic burgers, fries, chicken wings, and flatbreads. While it's not the most innovative menu, everything was delivered well. The location on Sutter Street is fantastic. They have an awesome covered outdoor patio heat lamps , large TVs, and the second floor location allows for some fun people watching . We came with a large party , and really appreciated the friendly, attentive service. Our waitress handled the busy party seamlessly and kept everything running smoothly. A great place for large gatherings or casual eats in Old Folsom . Oh and the owners obviously love dogs ... photos of pups everywhere. Dog people are my kind of people :)

Chicken sandwich + sweet potato fries

Came on a Sunday for my moms birthday. It wasn't busy so we were seated right away - we chose to sit outside which is super cute, as long as weather permits, haha. The staff was very nice & the food was delicious! My only thing about the chicken sandwich was that I thought it would be spicy.. it wasn't. The chicken was smaller than I was anticipating as well, but overall good! They have a pretty large menu so we will definitely be back to try more.

The slider was a bit too spicy (it's not THAT spicy) for my wife which meant more for me. The fries were done just the way I like them. The fries come with ketchup as well as cucumber wasabi ranch, which was just a little spicy. My wife stuck with the ketchup. We then decided to split an order of Korean barbecue beef. The meat was thinly sliced and deliciously marinated. The rice and the cucumber salad were very good and the stir fry vegetables were cooked perfectly with just the littlest bit of crunch left in them. Everything was delicious. Our server made sure that our drinks never got below half and our bill was promptly brought out as soon as the take-home box was delivered. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff was really hustling and we were in and out in an hour without feeling rushed. It is a brew house vibe and there were TVs tuned to hockey, NBA basketball and NFL Football. The crowd checked off every demographic. I loved that they were almost completely full, yet it was quiet enough to carry on a conversation. It's no wonder two different sets of friends said this is their go-to restaurant in Folsom.

Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised to find what looked and felt like a local upscale pub with a large bar with TVs and various tables scattered around. The menu offers something for everyone, and the portions are generous. I opted to start with the garlic bread with a dipping sauce, followed by the Southwestern chicken salad entree special. The bread crust had garlic baked onto it, and the dipping sauce was huge and flavorful. The Southwestern salad exceeded my expectations. It was huge! The chicken was grilled and blackened and cooked to perfection and served on a bed of fresh lettuce with black beans, chopped onions, and blue cheese with a spicy dressing that was fantastic. The dish was so good that I'm tempted to go back tomorrow night. If you're looking for a casual dining spot with a friendly local vibe and amazing food, Manderes fits the bill! I appreciated the fact they had a couple of NA beer options along with a nice selection of beer on tap. Highly recommend!

I've watched many people seat themselves at tables and leave 10 minutes later because no one asked them what they wanted. Yes, the decor is stuck in the 90's, but I actually like it. The double smash burger I had was excellent. The bun they use is awesome and they charred the patty perfectly. It tasted way better than Fleming's Prime Steakhouse burger I had last week, that's for sure. The thick steak-cut fries are awesome, too. Over salted but nothing a cold beer can't cut through. Highly recommend their smash burger.

If it wasn't for this "mission," there's a good chance I wouldn't have wandered in. I LOVE Sutter Street, but honestly I don't live nearby and don't have many reasons to come here. That said, I'm thankful for the mission and glad I dropped by. It's a super cute place and the bartender had a nice relaxed chill vibe to her. This is where I'd normally drop her name and give her kudos - but I didn't get her name. I thought her name would be on the receipt, but it wasn't! I assume her name isn't "Shift Night N" anyway, which would be weird - but that's what is listed for "server". Anyway... the burger... I liked it. I liked it a lot. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked (not expected or demanded by me) - but an observation that I toss in for comparison purposes. It was cooked to a solid medium, which is fine with me. Caramelized onions were standard - nice - but the tomato and lettuce were listed as 'optional' - and the bartender (Shift Night N) asked me if I wanted them. I opted in. The bun was above average - definitely a notch above the typical mass-produced buns often used elsewhere. I opted for sweet potato fries. They had good flavor. Personal preference-wise... I would have liked them to be cooked a smidge more. If/when I come back, I'll probably ask them to be crispy-er. Overall, thumbs up! I wouldn't hesitate to come back and try other things on the menu. #burgers

We stopped by yesterday and the line was crazy, so we decided to come today before they opened. Was there still a line before they opened? Yes. We waited about 40 minutes...but it was worth it! We ordered the Feeds 2-3 Tray that comes with 1/2 lb of Brisket, 1/2 lb of Port Ribs, 1/4 lb of Turkey Breast, two sides (we chose baked beans and cheesy grits), and a dessert (we chose chess cake). You can smell Belly Barbecue's deliciousness from outside and once you walk in that only intensifies! Everything is cooked to mouth-watering perfection! Their portions are ample. There is plenty to share and the 2-3 platter will feed our family for two sittings. The hubster and MIL raved about their baked beans and I was in heaven with the cheesiness of the grits...YUM! Also, the option today for the blueberry cornbread was fabulous! Their servers are friendly, work hard, and deliver up the smiles. Inside there are seating options for small and medium sized groups. We took ours home to eat and the food traveled excellently! Please note Belly Barbecue does have limited days and hours, so plan accordingly and do not let the lines discourage you if you arrive early enough...you will leave fed, happy, and satisfied! I wouldn't give that crap to my dog! Anyways, I was a bit PTSD after that and didn't have high hopes for LZ as I view them the same type of dining establishment. I could not be more wrong. Everything BJ's did wrong, LZ did right. From the host counter, to seating, to even the smell of the place, it was right. Table spacing, right. Decor, right. Waitress, right, right, right!! She took our order and didn't even have a pad or pencil. I thought well, it's just the two of us, but I saw her at the next table, 4 people with lots of options and she didn't need to write a thing down. We started with drinks and candied bacon. Just great! Hardly anyplace has diet coke, only Pepsi, but LZ has my diet coke. Thank you! We each ordered from the $15 menu. Me some sort of BBQ bacon cowboy burger thing and my wife had shrimp tacos. I asked for medium rare and it came medium rare. The lettuce and tomato slice were cold, the burger hot and the bun warm. Right, Right, Right. I substituted fries for onion rings and got plenty. The oil was good, not the freshest, but that's o.k. too. Some sort of dipping sauce, no ketchup, but after tasting the sauce, I didn't need any ketchup anyway. I did salt the burger and rings, but that's just me. Most folks would find them seasoned well enough as they were. The meal comes with individual sized dessert. I had some sort of brownie/ice cream thing which was awesome! My wife had the banana pudding. It was exactly like homemade. The wafers were fresh, not soggy, the pudding cold and chilly. While the brownie was warm with gooey sauce and a solid scoop of ice cream. All was right with dessert. The only thing I would have liked was our waitress to check on refills, but I did fine as it was a tall glass to begin with. We were on our way to Harris Center for a concert and this was a great place to hang out before and probably after too, if we were with another couple. No left overs, we ate every bite and enjoyed ourselves. We will be back regularly.
