My family and I went to this Riko's together and enjoyed our time there. I greatly enjoyed my salad with chicken, feta, and tomato though I can't remember what it was called. I got the salad in the small size and still had enough left over to finish it for dinner that night. My end of the table shared a cheese pizza which was tasty. Crust was out of this world, thin, a little burnt, and absolutely delicious. Service was awesome by Brianna. We left her a 40% tip because she was just delightful and so full of energy. Great job! We love Colony Pizza in Stamford and my husband bakes his own thin crust pizza from scratch [yes, he does, using 00 flour] but he remarked that RIKO's was better than Colony. This pizza tastes & feels like it was generated by a 3D printer, frozen, devoid of flavor.. unnatural. I went into this one blind. Heard thin crust, and flocked. Huge mistake. Look at this pathetic excuse of a cheese pizza. Words cannot convey how strange this pie made me feel.. There was sauce on this pizza, but not really? If you press down a bit you can see some tasteless oily tomato paste poke out, but it's not "sauce". The shiny, slick coat of oil on top was so dense that you could see it reflecting light. There was a heavier coat of mystery oil than there was "sauce". The cheese wasn't better. It was worse. It had a pungent creamy cheese smell to it. Not the kind of cheese meant for a pizza pie. The slight hint of flavor this pizza did have was off, and all around not enjoyable. This place prides itself on "thin" crust.. this is actual cardboard. It felt more like a cracker, as it broke & brittled away during any attempted bite. I ate them unfolded at first. The last straw was when I folded the slice and it just snapped in half. Frozen. This pizza joint is great if you want to feel like you're living in a nuclear fallout bunker. So my husband and I ordered takeout online from their new location tonight and completely missed the fact that they don't actually open until TOMORROW. We got a phone call about five minutes later from a very nice gentleman named John explaining that they technically weren't open and they were just doing a "friends and family" night before the big reopening. I was expecting him to say our order would be canceled and I would have understood, but instead he let us know they were going to make it for us anyway, and that someone would walk our food out to us once we got there! We arrived earlier than expected, so we waited a few minutes, but our food was piping hot and as delicious as always. From what we could see the new location has a lot of room for dining in, so next time we go (which will be very soon) we'll eat in. We already liked Riko's, but the customer service tonight pushed them to five stars. And to John, thank you for letting us be your unofficial first customers at the New Canaan Ave location! Price posted $2.50 for a slice of cheese pizza and the cashier told me which was only during the morning which wasn't posted on it. I don't think no one would eat pizza during the mornings. We attempted to try the new location in Westport. Waiter was very friendly took our order talked the place up. We ordered 2 pizza's, salad and drinks. Drinks and salad arrived and after waiting a half an hour we got up to find the waiter and asked where the pizza was. The waiter came over to the table and placed a check and said "oh there was a mix up and we comp'd your pizza's." Really we never got the pizza and he said we comp'd them. Told us he didn't know what happened but no we would not get our food. It was 8PM, I believe they are open until 9 or 10. Will not return to this place again and do not recommend. read more

This location is best suited for takeout, but the pizza is terrific if you like thin-crust bar-style pizza. It will cost a little more than you would expect but tangy sauce and cheese (and onion is, in my view, the best topping). We ordered take out for office here and was less than impressed. Chopped Chicken salad and buffalo wings were the items we chose to order. The wings were not crispy and tasted like they may have been microwaved. The salad was nothing special and chicken tasted like leftovers from the other day. I kind of have an affinity for this type of pizza (I.e. Colony Grill/Stamford Style). It isn't the most satisfying pizza, as it is pretty thin, but I like the way the cheese is nearly blended into the crust, with just a complement of tomato sauce. I almost knocked off a whole pie (6 slices) by myself. But I stopped myself from housing that last slice. I know pizza is junk food, but this type of pizza feels especially like a guilty pleasure, as if it's somehow more unhealthy than a normal NY style or brick oven slice. That said, I did actually enjoy the pie. The sausage and cherry peppers had some good tang, without being too spicy where I couldn't enjoy it. The buffalo wings were meh. I would skip those; 6 half-a$$ed pieces of wings and drumsticks that were not really handpicked for quality. I don't think they were fried, but they were cooked through. The buffalo sauce almost had a sweetness to it, as opposed to spicy. The blue cheese was also kind of cheap, like Marie's dressing. The 4 slim pieces of celery were stringy and tough to chew. Overall, stick with the pizza and enjoy that guilty slice. read more

We have ordered from Rikkos several times, it came late and cold each time. We called and asked to speak with the manager and he was "very busy" . We asked that they take our number and call us. He never did. The next time we ordered to pick it up so it would be hot and when I went In I figured I would ask for the manager and was told by the rude girl that he was too busy to come out, why did I want. So I told her and she said he would not call me back about that, I asked her again for the manager and she told me no. So I sat down to wait for my pizza and then she went in back. Had a serious health issue due to taking a bite of this pizza. I ordered a cheese pizza and with my first bite my mouth was on fire! The hottest thing I have ever eaten. I picked this pie up after my chemotherapy session. Chemo can cause a sore mouth, so anything spicy is definitely a hazard and something I avoid. I called the store and told them what happened. In order to get my refund, I they said I had to send a picture of the pizza with a pepper in the center. Well, it became clear to us that whomever made that pizza, put a pepper in the center, and then realized it was not supposed to be a hot oil pizza. My husband tested the other slices, and only the tip of each slice was HOT and SPICY. They screwed up and took off the hot pepper, when they should have remade the pizza, rather than put a customer in such severe danger. Really disgusted by what happened and their attitude. Besides this issue, I found the business to be dirty looking, gloomy, and generally gross. read more

Definitely a staple delivery spot for us in SoNo. Though the original Connecticut style thin crust might have originated elsewhere, Riko's definitely keeps the spirit alive and does delivery. For those of us with little ones that make it tougher for going out - Riko's pulls through. If you like thin crust pizza, this spot is worth checking out. Careful though - thinner and tastier pies mean they go down faster so don't be shy about ordering up. My only gripe with the place is the value, as smaller and thinner pie should (in theory) have better value vs other spots. That said, it's not anything to keep me coming back for more! read more

Good pizza, not as great as Colony. But the service makes up for it. We've ordered from here a few times and have found the pizza to be good but noticed toppings forgotten and unwanted (but still good) toppings added. Not a huge deal but when they're charging $3 for two toppings and forget one or barely add it, it's a pain. We called back since this was the third time our pizzas weren't perfect and were forwarded to the manager. After a bit a wrangling Alejandra was super helpful, understanding and prompt with a generous resolution. An ice skating rink would open its doors in hell before I got this service at Colony. But back to the pizza. Sweet tomato sauce, stringier cheese on a slightly softer crust. Definitely hits the spot. Meatball topping is better here, sausage is better at Colony as well as the onion topping. I don't find that this style of pizza travels particularly well so this location not having seating is a draw back. read more

Worst pizza experience in Norwalk. Tried them twice now. Loud noise on their end of the phone, person taking orders both times appears to be highly dyslexic, which is as suited for the job of taking down phone numbers, address, credit card numbers, as a blind crossing guard, and both orders i had to repeat everything upwards of 5 times and person on the other hand was still saying stuff in reverse. The fact they're the only place in town making you pay by card only and upfront. The pizza itself is decent but the size is basically a personal pizza with a price of a large. Today's second chance i gave them, i was told 1.5 hrs for delivery even though i'm a 10 min walk from them. It has now been 2.5 hrs - no pizza, no phone call and i'm out almost $40 for 2 pizzas they charged for but never delivered. 3 hrs in i called for my $ back since i never got the food, manager said that "whoever took my order put it in for pick up" As i said above the girl who took my order repeated my address, among all other numbers wrong 4x before she got it right and which was a simple 81 that she kept repeating to me as 1,8. Been here several times, great pizza, good wings. Used the app to order for the first time, great idea, but the estimated pick up time it gives you, doesn't mean your food will be ready by then. I was given 20 mins. My initial thought was wow this is great. I got there in 20 mins, and the cashier had me pay, then walked in the back and said it would another 10 mins. By now there's 5 other people in here waiting on their orders and everyone is being told another 10 mins, really. As I'm waiting the app says my order is complete, so I go back up the cashier, she says show me, which I do, she went in the back, came back out and said no it's not ready. Eventually I got my order, total time was 55 mins. I don't mind if my order takes 55 mins, if I'm told that from the beginning. Shamefully poor execution in the kitchen, cashiers and the whole operation.
