Customer for years but food is getting sub par, always loved their pizza but we ordered two large cheese we love that style pizza, it was almost under cooked , soft and floppy and bland no flavor. A waste of money and really was just bad. No more we will not return. read more

I often order from Post Corner and have never run into an issue but tonight I ordered fried calamari and this is what I received. Very unfortunate that this is the size of an order. I have been going to PCP for almost forty years; I was there yesterday for lunch, and it was not the same. The pizza crust was once practically perfect in every way--thick, but crispy, able to hold the cheese and sauce. It was true Greek style crust. Yesterday's crust was much, much thinner, and it wilted under the unimpressive sauce. My fellow diner ordered a salad which was cafeteria grade. We would only order two things: a cheese pizza and the Greek salad with gyro meat. I always get toppings on my pizza but with their pizza it's perfect with just cheese. Post corner has been our go to pizza restaurant for over 30 years. We know and love it so much we don't even need a menu anymore. The green salad is excellent, with or without the feta. But don't miss out on their extraordinary dressing. The pizzas are excellent and yes, they can even make them vegan by holding the cheese. Friendly and efficient service from a great staff. They claim they do greek food and pizza well, but I"m thinking maybe they should specialize in one over the other because neither were very good. I ordered a greek salad with gyro. I've never met a gyro I didn't like until this one...tasted rubbery. And I"ve really never met a pizza I didn't like, but this one was just A-ok. Our friends compared it to pizza hut and I'd say that's pretty accurate. This place has been in town for quite a long time. Greek pizza isn't usually my thing but when we crave it, we come here. They cut the pizza into squares (is it really pizza when it's square?? I mean I guess because that's what a Sicilian or grandma slice is, but ... ok. Will not rant here...) and you can ask for it to be lightly baked if you don't want it to be too crunchy. The Greek salad comes with feta cheese (it's the kind of feta that isn't stinky to me so I love it) and jalapeño peppers (the big yellow-green ones?). Not the healthiest salad - but it's a pizza place, you come here for pizza. The gyro is ok - sliced thinly and moussaka is decent. Their wraps are pretty good too. Husband likes to get switch it up sometimes and get a calzone with chicken cutlet. This place is usually open when most other restaurants are closed in town, so it's super awesome for not feeling 100% alone on holiday weekends. We drove by on Thanksgiving and saw it open. Interior has a diner vibe, with a decidedly dated feel. We usually get takeout for pickup, as it's an easy drive and you can park in one of the lots downtown. Fun fact: they will deliver to Weed Beach during the summer if you want to chill, wait for your food there, and enjoy a sunset. Just be prepared to wait a while for it! read more

Tried this place 6 years ago it was awful. Decided to give it another chance - bad choice We were getting food for the kids - pizza and pasta and we just had some appetizers (calamari and garlic bread with cheese) The calamari was a soggy disgusting mess - spat the first one out and threw away the rest. Garlic bread was slightly burnt on the one hand and hardly cooked on another - weird Kids ate their food but they said it was 'not good'... they prefer hope street pizza and Westovers in glenbrook My wife noticed the staff around food didn't have their hair tied back so hairs in food would be inevitable Anyway we won't be going back again - it amazes me this place has so many patrons because Italian/greek choices within a 5 mile radius are abundant and way better read more

We have been coming here periodically for over 15 yrs. The area is rife with Greek pizza spots so their are an abundance of other options. Historically, we've been pleased with their consistency & kind service, solid Greek salad & Greek style pizza, pleasant interior. But it's in dire need of an update & a serious restroom make over or at least a major scrubbing. Last nite's experience sent me over. It wasn't busy but took forever to get our food. We had Greek salad which was ok. The chicken Marsala was overly cooked & took 20 min to get & then our eggplant pizza w onion came way before my husband's Marsala. The pizza was so DRY and flavorless, practically no sauce. I asked if they could perhaps add more cheese. After 10 minutes, the waitress presents my same pizza w a light sprinkling of a little cheese. Clearly this accomplished ZERO. I obviously they didn't care/made no effort. We kindly explained this to our very nice waitress. She apologized but she couldn't do anything else. The kitchen was unwilling to rectify it. No, they didn't offer to take it off the bill. Lots of "I'm sorry" but no recompense. They used to be a good spot. But can a business afford to rest on their laurels? They lost two patrons. read more

There's a reason you're seeing a lot of 2 and 3 star reviews.. I've known this place from way back, maybe more than 35 or 40 years but I never ate there until tonight.. Back in the day it was the joint.. but not so much anymore. First, I'm not really a Greek pie guy but when made well I'll enjoy it.. unfortunately this not the case at Post Corner. Made our order wrong, not very tasty regardless, salad dressing tasted store bought, and service was mediocre at best.. to top it all off my wife said the ladies restroom was disgustingly filthy and when we told the waitress she was indifferent.. Whenever in Darien, my first stop is to Post Corner Pizza for an eggplant parmigiana grinder. No one anywhere makes them nearly as good. Tasting them is like dying and going to heaven. Our ongoing survey of local pizza restaurants ranks PCP as good, but not outstanding. A convenient location, large seating area with family friendly tables and booths, and always-busy take out counter are probably PCP's greatest strengths. The pizza is not the super thin crust kind or even what you'd call regular pizza, but rather is Greek style -- a slightly deeper pie with lots of cheese and a less-puffy crust that kind of fries in the pizza pan. Very tasty, but also pretty greasy underneath. The garlic bread is a big hit here, and the "Salad pizza" is a curiosity that's surprisingly good. The traditional Greek dinner dishes on the mune are hearty and tasty. In the restaurant, the service is friendly and attentive, never bothered by literally scores of kids running around the place on a Friday or weekend night. NOTE ON TAKEOUT: The order-takers are almost always gruff on the phone, the cashiers are pretty surly, and the whole operation frequently messes up, mixes up orders and misses items. For some reason, they try to keep track of incoming orders on scribbly pages torn out of spiral notebooks -- a silly system if it worked, and it definitely doesn't! Having lost 5 pounds in a year due to a crushing exercise regimen, I thought I would give the new owners a chance I had a cheeseburger and medium diet coke for $9. It was quite good, and the place fixed up a real lot, but I wasn't about to spend $7 on the fries. I didn't like the 2% surcharge on credit cards and hope it is not the same old pay cash tax avoidance scheme. We have a pandemic crisis to pay for. While everyone wore a mask in the kitchen and were super nice, social distancing was a challenge in the small quarters. So very nice people who are keeping it going - kudos but no more credit card fees - $9 for a burger and a coke mean you can afford not too!!! read more

I moved to florida 20 years ago and whenever i came back to visit the first place i went to was post corner. I just went back there since the pandemic started. Not the same. the owner just does not care. I explained to him that i was a customer of 50 years and the quality of the food was not the same. He did not want to hear it. He told me to go f my self. They gave me burnt cold bread and the bake ziti was thrown together, he could not care less. I was there a month ago on a busy friday so i exused the not so great pizza and ziti.
