Very disappointed in cove pizza. We had ordered before from them. This night we Ordered delivery of a dish with salmon. The salmon was very undercooked had a funny taste as well. We Called and they said to bring it back so they could see it. Bring it back really why did I order delivery????? I live 60 seconds away from this great take out place. I use the Slice app and it works perfectly for my orders. The menu is extensive and the food is really good and the prices are very reasonable. Their garlic knots are maybe the best I have ever had and you must try them. Sure you may smell like garlic for a few days but wow they sure are delicious. All of their Italian dishes are tasty and we have tried a lot of them. I have never gotten their pizza since I'm a Colony snob but it looks good. The staff is friendly and it's so nice to pick up during a commercial and be back home before it's over. read more

Okay, so I ordered from here lastnight and saw incredible reviews on Seamless. THIS...is what I got. They couldn't have possibly sent me something more awful if they were actively trying. I hate to leave bad reviews but this one just shocked me. Firstly, when I got the pizza, everything I selected for toppings along WITH the cheese slid off in a soaked grease pile. Cool, I still ordered a sandwich, it happens right? Maybe the driver didn't secure it. The sandwich...was even worse. They put the yellow, dried pieces of lettuce in it and didn't even toast the wrap. It was so incredibly soggy which went perfect with the soggy excuse for sweet potato fries. I've been ordering here for over 3 years now. My go to meal is the lomo saltado. It's a mixture of beef, fries and rice. The topper is their aji sauce. Theirs is thicker and not as bitter as other restaurants in the area (acuario, mi Ranchito, old house.) and it's green and chunky! I buy a big one for $5 dollars. Their customer service is always great and they get meals done so quick!! One day they were closed and I had to order my lomo from Viva and it took 45 minutes. This place always has its ready in 10 minutes! Delivery is available, they have coupons on their to-go menus, and their hours are great. They are usually open pretty late! (I've always been interested in theirs deserts. Specifically the Nutella and berries pizza. )Overall good selection on their for any time of the day. read more

You wouldn't believe it but they have the BEST Lomo Saltado (on their special menu) that I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned tender beef with plenty of sauce for the rice and fried potatoes. One of the best pizza places in a city that isn't exactly short of good pizza. One of the most interesting, too. It seems to be Peruvian-owned, and along with very good pizza, there are Peruvian dishes like lomo saltado and even hybrids like lomo saltado pizza, which I've never seen anywhere else. The food is uniformly excellent, and so is the service. Here's an example: It's only open for takeout and delivery during the pandemic, and a few weeks ago, they missed part of our takeout order. When we got home, they called and said they'd realized their mistake. We told them not to worry about it--it was just a pizza, after all--but they insisted on driving it out to us, all the way on the other side of town. Good people, good food, good business. Highly recommended. Edited to add: I'm noticing that many of the negative reviews here are old, some going as far back as 2013, I think. It's worth noting that Cove has been under new ownership for the past several years. I agree that it wasn't very good under the previous ownership, but all that has changed. It would be a shame if people avoided this place because of bad reviews of what was essentially an entirely different establishment. read more

Ordered burger and fries today and the delivery guy would not let me check the food before paying refuse to let me look at the food and because in the past I've gotten gotten bad orders I wanted to check it. He left with the food I called the restaurant and asked for my money back and they refused to refund my money. Have eaten at cove pizza numerous times. The food is really good. Their pizza with extra cheese and mushrooms is crusty, just the wAy I like it. The calimari is okay, but I have had better. Short Story-- I wouldn't go out of the way to eat here but if you live around the area it's a good place to bring a family if it's walking distance. Food is decent, service is hit or miss, place is clean for the most part, food comes out at a normal time. Long Story-- Environment:TV has soccer most every time I've been in there. Not too loud of volume to bother with conversation. Good amount of seats for the size of the restaurant. Parking is free. Ice cream shop right outside for dessert Service: was based on the waitress. One waitress I've had has been consistently great...knowledgeable about the menu, came to cater to us constantly, waters refilled, on time with everything. Another waitress not so much....we were the only customers there, never refilled water, not so knowledgable about the menu, took so long to give us the bill that we had to get up and pay at the cashier. We were the only ones there! Food: Calzone was awesome. Good amount of meat and cheese in mine. Crust was baked nicely too. Tasted great and enough to feed one hungry 28 year old man. I moved to the east coast 15 years ago from California and the best pizza we had there was California PizzaKitchen and Round Table. So that's all I knew. I heard about Cove Pizzapretry immediately. I didn't like the area per se orthe building. Also thin crust pizza I always though was the worst. This place proved me wrong on all levels - don't judge a book by its cover, try it before you knock it, who cares where it's located. Cove has the best pizza that I've ever had, hands down! So I've been to this little pizza joint more times than I probably should've before bikini weather lol The food is good- like surprisingly very very good- it seems like they're Peruvian(?) in the kitchen and the closer you stick to that type of Central American food the better off you are. While I love the Peruvian food- the Panini sandwiches are excellent too. I usually get the steak and Gargonzola Panini and now I have to go on a diet- lol. I visited with my two little daughters and was surprised with the quality of the food. The restaurant is located in a so-so neighborhood and looks a little shabby on the outside but.. I noticed that their pizza has been rated as excellent in other reviews on yelp and I confirm that. The fries are excellent, crunchy on the outside and really ful of taste for a simple potato. :) The special was a chicken soup with cilantro and although cilantro seems strange with chicken soup it was good. This restaurant doesn't even deserve one star. We ordered a small pizza and 3 bites in got a large hair in the middle of the cheese and crust. We called in hopes of getting our money back and a new pizza, and we're told we have to drive all the way back. When we got there the guy blamed us and told us we put the hair in the pizza and don't even deserve our money back! Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. The old owner was so much better! I ordered a wrap and one half of my wrap had absolutely no chicken!!!!! I called to explain to the restaurant that this happened to me. They made me get up from my family while eating dinner to bring the wrap back... When I got there the owner comes out and tells me that I took the chicken out and I put it in the other wrap!!!!!! This restaurant may have great pizza, but their delivery service food is very uneven. Tonight was the worst. With over cooked spaghetti, limp and dry and tasteless chicken Parmesan, oversalted but tasteless, tomato sauce with no flavor, and a meager portion of mozzarella cheese. There have been times when the food was delicious,. It may have to do with changes in the kitchen staff. We also ordered vegetable soup which was flavorless, and tiramisu which was a mass of liquid and no flavor, like they poured flavorless sugar syrup over the custard. What a disappointment. When I called to have it picked up the manager said no because I complained once before. We were looked forward to a hearty dinner. Boo hoo. We will never order food here again. When I walk in waiters/ host seated me near to window, restaurant is nice and clean I ordered Peruvian stir fried chicken, meanwhile they served me a garlic bread it was amazing and my order came good presentation, food quality is great, chicken was super tender , rice cook perfectly, the sauce came with it ( lightish green spicy) I can feel the freshness .
