Last nights dinner was amazing! We've ordered here once before and decided we wanted pizza tonight so we chose Pappas! The pepperoni pizza was perfect! A little on the oily side but hey that's expected! The sauce on the pizza was very good, lots of flavor and tasted fresh! The crust was very good and wasn't soggy or dry and crusty! The Cesar salad was very good! Lots of Parmesan cheese and croutons! I wish that they gave 2 containers of dressing as one wasn't enough for a large salad! First timer! And I am amazed! The gyro is just like I remember when I lived in Astoria all my life! Real gyros! And the Greek salad had real feta! Not the feta that tastes like plastic! Not to mention the tisiki, not to garlicky and absolutely delicious and so fresh! Real Greek yogurt not that container stuff ! And the personal pan plain pizza was fantastic! Totally 5 stars! Love it. Prompt service, excellent pizza. Ordered several Margherita pizzas on a Saturday and they arrived piping hot and at least 15 minutes earlier then they said it would be. Forgot the name of the young woman who answered the phone but she very kindly offered a plain pizza at no cost contingent on the purchase of several other pizzas Have since ordered small plain pizzas for $8 bucks which is probably the best deal you're gonna get, as most places in stamford charge at least 4 bucks for a single slice, and a two slice coke combo running around 6. Young lady that was at the checkout was nice both times I've came to pick up food. read more

This is my go to when it's between 8-10pm and I need to get something fairly quickly as I live within walking distance. I only gave 4/5 because I have only had Pepperoni pizza and the Gyro. As someone that doesn't get food delivered (because of my location) my food has always been fresh and how I ordered eating in/picking up. By far the best pizza I've had since moving to the east coast. We ordered a '16 cheese pizza and had it cut into squares and cooked well done. AMAZING. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect, pizza was cooked perfectly, sauce itself was a little sweet with great flavor, and the crust was nice and crispy. I could've eaten it until I fell into a food coma. We also ordered the fried pizza dough which is tossed in garlic butter and comes with marinara to dip. They melted in my mouth. Everything came hot and super fresh. Order to delivery on Saturday night took less than half an hour. Disclaimer - I did not use eat 24 to order it, though. Price is also great. I am leaving the area early next year but will have to get this pizza a few more times before I go!! read more

The old lady is very rude I think she is racist because when I go there I lowkey get ignored and receive unpleasant stares and attitudes, especially from her the (old lady) I think she might be the owner or wife of the owner. And it's for no reason at all one time I was waiting for them to take my order and a white person who just came in and got assisted and acknowledged before me. They acknowledged their presence as soon as they walked in and took care of them before me. My black friends felt the same when they go so we stopped going there. Even though they are right across the street from our dorm and the closest pizza spot nearby. I'd rather go somewhere furthe. I even order pizza for delivery and pay the fee then to walk across the street and deal with that. Part of owning a business like this is customer service. read more

Pappas has the perfect pizza! I order from Pappas all the time and I love how cheesy, greasy and perfect the crust is. The flavor of the sauce is unlike anything I've ever tasted. It's a little sweet with just the right amount of seasonings--it's impossible to have just one slice! They have delicious dough knots (you can get savory or sweet) and their salads are always on point. While the food is AMAZING the staff at the register can be hit or miss. Sometimes they're on their A game and other times I'm completely appalled at the lack of manners, customer service and general human behavior. If you're not a people person you should not be taking orders or charging people. The front of house staff are the people you see immediately upon entering- they should at least know how to use their registers, know how to find grubhub orders and know how to greet their PAYING customers. The back of house constantly has to fix their errors and step in when they can tell that they're not capable of finding or ringing up a simple order. I love Pappas so I'll be back- I'm loyal and addicted to their pizzas and salads...I just wish the front of house would get it together. read more

I have been to this restaurant several times and never had an experience like I just did. THE WORST customer service by I think her name is Sue. Ordered pizza and wings as per usual and they forgot the blue cheese. When I asked for the blue cheese this older lady and an even older lady went back and forth each claiming they put blue cheese in the bag. Finally, they gave me the blue cheese. Not bad. I'd say a 2.5/5. Ordered a large sausage pizza with extra cheese. Thin. From Chicago so we never know how thin it's actually going to be. The problem with thin was that it's so thin that it just flops around. I'd suggest ordering a regular pizza crust. Loads of cheese which was great. Sausage was good. Most pizzas I've had in New York and Connecticut is that the sausage is always gray. That wasn't the case here. My complaint is the pizza is extremely greasy and could've been cooked for an extra 15 minutes. The grease was dripping off. Also ordered a large fry. Huge portion for only $6. We ordered them extra crispy and probably could've been cooked a little longer for my taste. Was also super salty. I'd offer them no salt and just add the amount you'd like. read more

Absolutely appalled at this establishment. We are new to Stamford, and decided to try this restaurant via grub hub. I called the restaurant to confirm my order after placing to ensure everything was correct as I wrote precise directions. My food arrives incorrect, my husbands sandwich missing ingredients and my pasta missing chicken. I call back and ask what happened and explained that the order was wrong. The girl responds sorry we are very busy tonight. I'm not sure what busy has to do with messing up orders. Everyone makes mistakes but they didn't even care to fix it. I asked can they please send our order correctly, she responded no they can't come again they are too busy. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there is no manager. I am a very understanding person but do not like when people do not do the right thing by customers especially when we are supporting local business during a pandemic. I tipped $5.00 What I received was a pizza that was hard, cold and salty beyond measure!! The cheesecake was warm and obviously Sara Lee's. I called back and was told to " call when the owner was in after 6:00 pm the next day and she would fix the order". I was in town and was craving some pepperoni pizza and wings. Saw this spot and decided to try it. I ordered a slice and some buffalo wings. I got the mild wings. I really enjoyed the wings. They were just right and had a nice kick to them. The pizza to me was just ok. I'm from Brooklyn and the pizza is different from what I'm used to. The pizza from NY is thinner with not so much bread. I will say that it satisfied my craving. I see some comments about it being greasy. It was greasy so you can just dab some of it off. What happened to the fat, robust and tund Latino man that would hook me up with a pie FAST during the live at five craziness in exchange for a mere fin in his pocket?... well maybe he was doing too much of that... Ever since the change of management about a year a ago, this place has gone down hill and now more resembles a wrap/chicken-burger spot than what it originally was, (actually the pizza really reached its apex during the "small size pie only / inside 2 plates and inside a paper bag with a Pappas stamp" era... This used to be my favorite Greek style pizza place around... the only place that perfected the not-too-greasy but crisp and sweet sauce but thicker style that most places cannot. the new guy even popped my pie back in sans pan when he realized it wasn't cooked long enough- a mistake in the pan pizza biz because everyone knows the pan gives the pizza the flavor because it contains little bits and pieces of the flavor of each pie previously cooked in that pan- simply placing it on the oven surface allows the over taste to set in, ruining the pedigree of pizza flavoring. read more

So I used to go here every Friday when my girls were in grade school (this was years ago). We'd get a few of their small mini pizzas (the only size they sold), and a nice gorgonzola salad. The man who identifies himself as the manager over the phone is angry and rude. Called about a very late Grubhub order and was told "it's not my problem." He continued to say I could not cancel our order and that"he would get the money anyway." The woman who answered first was also rude. Since there seems to be some need, I'd like to offer some basic tips: 1. don't be mean to customers 2. If it's grubhub's fault that a pizza is late, try saying: "I'm so sorry your order is late. We had it ready on time but the Grubhub driver is late." That's how you speak with respect and civility. I was downtown on Memorial Day with most places closed. Pappas was very busy with delivery orders but they took my wrap order right away and made it within 10 minutes. I got a turkey and bacon wrap and was not disappointed. The prices for the wraps were reasonable (though some of the sandwiches were a bit higher), and my wrap came stuffed full with ingredients, lots of turkey, extra bacon, a good amount of lettuce tomato and onion. The ambiance is basic, very small and a few tables, I would probably recommend take out or delivery. I cannot speak for the other food yet, but the wraps are definitely good - I will go back to try their other menu options. (Sadly I do not recommend the pickles...) read more

This was another spot I use to hit up for Pizza. I use to love the fact that they specialized in small personal pizzas. However, I could only eat so much of it due to the fact it seem saturated in oil. However, they must have changed up there recipe because the last time I tried I had some it was nearly as oily. When i order for the past few weeks, they have been sending piping cold pizza's and when i call to complain that my pizza is cold, they do not accommodate, they told me that they dont sell cold pizza's but my pizza's have all been showing up at my house cold as hell and they are so rude, when u call in 2 try to get it right they place you on hold for a very long time but the time spent on hold when trying to complain differs greatly and when the daughter is on duty working the phones, she makes the situation even worse, she's so rude, you'll wish that you could snatch her up through the phone. The solution to my problem was them telling me they were gonna return my money & don't call their business for service anymore, when how is it my fault that i waited 45 minutes to 1 hour for my pizza & once it arrived to my door it's cold. If i wanted to pay $42. For my order then warm it up n the microwave or oven then i woulda cooked instead of attempting 2 order takeout because once in a while they get it right, so i take my chances. It's obvious that they are @ fault for sending cold pizza's then accuse me of giving them a hard time. I ALWAYS tip the driver & NEVER give them a hard time paying 4 my order but i tell them ahead of time who i want to make my pizza's & please don't bring cold pizza's. I tell them ahead of time ALL THE TIME & they tell me no problem, but i can always tell when my pizza is freshly made or just reheated or made by someone other than whom i requested because then & only then have we had a problem, so if u order from this place i would advise u to go in and wait for your order to be made fresh otherwise you will be disappointed in 1 way or another. read more
