Placed my order via Grubhub for 3 chopped cheese on HEROs , which is an extra $2 per sandwich. when the order arrived we got it on rolls instead. When I called Ny Bites to let them know they sent rolls instead of HEROs the guy told me I'm sorry call Grubhub. I asked if they could replace the order they told me no. All of these negative reviews are very unfair, as the business has just opened and is still working out the kinks. The staff is so lovely, they have great customer service, they are willing to accommodate any changes or substitutions, and the place is sparkling clean. The chicken Caesar wrap needs some work, but the New York chop cheese, the bagel and cream cheese, and their breakfast sandwichs are all absolutely delicious. I've also gotten their cantaloupe and mint juice, and as recently as this morning, their chocolate and almond butter smoothie that I added coffee to--both delicious. This morning I also got their lamb over rice at 8:30AM. Unfortunately, the rice wasn't ready (but why would it be at 8 AM?) but they put together a beautiful salad for me instead and we're very apologetic. I walked in about 1pm on 9/23. If you want to review the footage... firstly, it smelled like a bathroom at a McDonald's in the hood. Then I waited about 10 minutes, while there was no line. Nobody said be right with you or acknowledged me. This is the second time I've walked out for this reason. The only reason I have gone back is because of their halfway decent Ruben. This is an unfortunate review with this place being open a short time. Visit #1: I watched a paying customer, who struggled with English, get snapped at by the guy at the register while trying to add condiments to his food... right next to the register where the condiments are placed. The staffer interrupted an order to say, "My man, can you do that somewhere else?" Customer tried explaining he'd be quick, but was dismissed again. If you don't want people there, move the condiments--don't humiliate paying customers. The tone was nasty and unnecessary. Visit #2: I ordered two sandwiches and fries. Food took 20 minutes. Bag came out--no fries. Took another 10 minutes just to get what I paid for. No apology. Final straw: Showed up Sunday morning. Hours on Google and Apple Maps said open at 8:30am. I went at 8:55 am and it was still locked. I figured they would open at 9 am. The Staff was inside prepping and getting ready. They neither acknowledged that they were late or to give us a heads up that they'll open a in a little bit. Multiple people waiting outside. 9:00 a.m.--still closed. 9:10--still closed and I left. No rush. No care. Just zero respect for people's time. This isn't just about one bad day--it's a pattern. And when your prices aren't cheap, people expect better. I came here on the first day they opened.. I was excited to try this place when I seen it under construction, so I had high hopes for this place. But my high hopes ended up becoming highly disgusted. When I walked in it was very clean and nice in the store.. It very spacy with only a few places to sit. I thought it was going to be a dine in sandwich place, but it was more of a convient store that makes sandwiches kind of vibe. I walked up to the cashier and asked if I order there, and the cashier told me that I have to go to the cooks and ask them. And as I walked over there I noticed they had food laid out in the counter similar to Chipotle and you tell them what you want and they'll just grab the food and make your order. So I was talking to one of the cooks there, it was a older gentleman. I told him that I wanted to try the Meatquake sandwich. And I don't think he really understood me when I told him that, either it was very loud in there or he didn't really understand English that well. So, I repeated myself to him, and as he was talking to me, he was chewing some food at the same time. And as he was chewing his food and talking to me, I literally saw chunks of food coming out of his mouth and falling into the food below him.. The food that they use to serve the customers. At first, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. And I just kinda was thinking to myself that, maybe I just imagined that.. and that didn't really happened. So I brushed it off and continued talking to him. And the more and more he spoke, the more and more food kept falling out of his mouth and into the food below him. Honestly, I think he took the name Meatquake a little too literally, because the way he was spitting out chunks of food, it felt like I was standing in the middle of a damn meat eruption. At that point I was like okay, I am DEFINITELY NOT EATING HERE. So I just told him nevermind and walked out.. The sad thing is, that there was at least 8 people behind me that were ready to order.. Looks like they ended up getting the special of the night, the Spitwich Deluxe. The menu looked fantastic. The concept? Promising. But unless they're planning to add dental dams to the uniform, I'll pass on any return visits. I got the tuna melt and it was truly the worst sandwich I've ever had. It was like canned tuna smeared onto sh*tty bread with two slices of tomato and a slice of cheese throw on top. I decided to give this place a second chance because, I returned from vacation and got home hungry after 10 pm last night, 7/5. The counter guy was more concerned with being a comedian than listening to what I wanted on the sandwich that I was ordering. I started with "I want a ham and..." and he interrupted with "American cheese, mayonnaise, butter". I said to him "no, listen. Ham, Swiss, L&T, oil and vinegar on white toast!" He said that I went too fast for him, so I broke it down for him again slowly, like when you talk to a child. I watched him press whatever buttons he needed to press to get the order to the slowest kitchen people ever! I got a ham and Swiss that looked good and had plenty of ham and cheese and was well wrapped. But, I got no oil and vinegar and the bread was cold and untoasted. NY Bites in Stamford is a take-out place for me which involves a walk. The food in the cases looks fresh. However, I never receive what I actually ordered. Twice, a few months apart, I ordered the same Caprese sandwich - Mozz/fresh tomato and basil on a roll. do not toast. Twice, they got it wrong. The first time, they forgot to include any balsamic vinegar on the sandwich or on the side. Dry sandwich for lunch at my desk. The second time I ordered the Caprese, I ordered the same sandwich again. When I got back to my office, I had a wet sandwich with pesto that was toasted. Maybe it's a language barrier? They have too many people standing around, no prices on the hundreds of drinks they offer. And can't deliver a correct sandwich. I'm done. Next? read more

Stopped in today for my first time. Tasty (and reasonable) bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Very friendly staff, and very busy. Super clean and fast service. This was exactly what Bedford needed. Register shouldn't be where it is because with long lines it gets crowded. I do wish there was a way to order ahead because the wait in person gets lengthy. At the end of the day Bedford needed a deli and this is priced well and fills the void. read more

I walked in at 1pm on a thursday and there's nobody here, still took them 20+ mins to make me a turkey club. How does throwing turkey, precooked bacon, and tomato on a roll take more than 1 min (again, nobody else in restaurant at 1pm).
