Took my extended family of six (ages 16-68) for dinner at Six Thirteen and we were not disappointed! The coconut chicken appetizer was delish as was the cauliflower. We went here on a Thursday afternoon. The place was a ghost town which made me nervous. The fries were great and the hurricane roll was yummy (I don't really like sushi so that's saying something). Everything else was a bust. The soft pretzels tasted like toasted stale bread and were only saved by the mustard. The French dip was something I could have gotten from a fast food joint. This place could probably benefit from picking an identity and simplifying the menu. Their takeout business was boomin' so maybe just have the sushi. read more

Nice enough restaurant/ atmosphere in a good location. service wait staff were also great! However, the food was very underwhelming. We were served luke warm beers and zucchini "croquettes" that were just flash fried zucchini. The veggie chili was actually quite good. Other than that we had a burger and a sandwich that were fine, but not helped by the $25 and $27 price tags. Adding protein to your dish could run you $10-20 extra as well. We took my father, who does not eat meat at his Assisted Living because he eats only kosher. He had Covid-19 in April and survived (94 years old) and this was only the 2nd time he has gone out since he recovered, so it was a special treat. I was excited that they offered pargiot on the menu, as I have not found a place to buy them around Stamford. The waitress said I could buy raw chicken to take home, so I asked for 3 lbs, thinking that I could buy more if I liked them. They wanted to charge me more than $64 for 3 lbs. So a day that would have been very enjoyable, turned into a unpleasant experience. My takeaway is that the management is greedy. read more

Unexpected venue. Looking at the online pictures on yelp, I was expecting an old fashioned restaurant that you pick because of kosher food; big mistake! This is a very nice place, nice decor, superb outdoor space and plenty of private parking close to downtown. Discrete service, large menu that will satisfy all types of guests either non kosher ones. Six thirteen is a phenomenal restaurant, sporting a full top shelf (and I do mean top shelf) bar, delicious appetizers, and top notch meat dishes (seasonal/vegan/vegetarian options also available). Everything from my waitstaff, Molly and Emma, to the manager Adam, to the head chef Matt who came out to inform me exactly what was in my black bean burger, to the food itself, was brilliant in their execution and professionalism. Go here. Try the drinks. Eat the food. Side note - its glaat kosher. They also have a patio out front so you can chill here on gorgeous summer nights like I did, sipping a Moscow Mule, enjoying good company. read more

I've been meaning to try this place for a few months now and honestly it kinda disappointed. There was nothing necessarily wrong but it just personally didn't meet my expectations. Our server was a nice girl but she wasn't so attentive and everything was very straight to the point but when we left it looked like she was doing everything so that's okay. I had the bean burger and it was tasty , it just started falling apart on me. The fries were great. The restaurant itself is nice and their patio was perfect on a day like today. I recently ate here for the first time and ordered a Joe Lieberman reuben. It was extremely salty. The cole slaw was nearly non-existant on the sandwich. It came with half a pickle and no dressing. The menu said it comes with garlic greens, but instead, it came with steamed string beans. They could have at least sauteed the green beans with olive oil and garlic. What was formerly Kosh has been transformed into this amazing, modern (and still kosher) haven for good food. We showed up the other night around 8:30, and were welcomed by extremely friendly staff. The cocktail menu is great (and really reasonably priced) and each one is hand mixed with fresh ingredients and tender-lovin'-care (which is important when it comes to me and my booze). I had the Greyhound which is vodka and okay, they had me there. It's mixed with red grapefruit juice and something-something-I-don't-care-because-it-was-delicious! My partner had the Bee's Knees. They were so good, we forgot to share! The menu is small but well curated. The Israeli plate looked like the perfect starter, but we were starving and went for the meal right away. I order the Chicken Schnitzel (heaven!) and he ordered the grilled salmon. The Schnitzel was just awesome. Crispy, and flavorful with a pickled topping, and on a dilly tartary sauce that was tangy and sweet and just... mmmmm. I ordered it with roasted winter vegetables, which were beautifully caramelized. The salmon was well cooked and really flavorful. But, again, we enjoyed our own choices so much, sharing was an afterthought. Then came a dessert of carrot cake and the key lime. I LOVED the carrot cake. It's all dairy free (!) and you couldn't even tell. Whatever they put in that coconut milk frosting... I need to buy in bulk. I should give a shout-out to the service: everyone was so friendly and accommodating. You can tell even the staff is invested in seeing this place succeed. Right now, they are only open for dinner. I really recommend this for a romantic, intimate evening. The setting just takes you there. Bonus: it's an easy walk to Bedford Street and so would be great as a place to snag a pre- or post- drink and snack while avoiding the "yo dudes" if downtown. Hands down the most amazing corned beef I have ever had - the applewood smoke really shone through and the perfectly thin slices piled up on top of each other melt in your mouth! I ended up not even eating the bun on the second half of my sandwich (I wasn't a huge fan, it seemed kind of dry and too big - the proportion of meat to bread was askew) but the cole slaw paired so perfectly with succulent meat. The fries were delicious as was the pre-meal grilled pita - glad this place is around the corner from home! read more

A nice restart in place of Kosh with a limited but well executed menu and pleasant service. The best value is the prix fixe, which must be selected by all diners at a table and effectively adds free dessert onto the price of an appetizer and entree. Our table sampled the Romaine Spears and Israeli Plate for appetizers, Salmon and Chicken Schnitzel for entrees, and carrot cake and brownie for dessert. The salad was a nice mix of flavor and textures. The Israeli Plate was OK but can improve with creamier chumus served properly Middle Eastern style (drowning in good olive oil) with fluffy pita. The Salmon was nicely presented and cooked perfectly, although the sauce was a bit bland. The Schnitzel was a huge portion cooked very well, nice and crispy on the outside with tender chicken. The side orders of Winter Quinoa Salad were a nice combination of ingredients, but were a little awkward to eat on medium sized separate places. Finishing our meal were enjoyable desserts: carrot cake with very nice non-dairy icing and a fun adult version of S'mores. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Both the manager and chef made themselves available for our questions. Pricing is actually between Yelp's $$ and $$$ categories, not bad at all for good quality kosher food in a lovely setting. We've been to Six Thirteen twice now, and had similar experiences. The food is excellent. We had a variety of appetizers (I liked the Chili Nachos), all of which were good to very good. Main courses were delicious--I had the brisket sandwich, and my wife had the fajitas, we argued over whose was better--and reasonably priced. The desserts were fantastic as well. The chocolate mousse was particularly good. I really liked the rugelach bread pudding, but the mousse was better. Service was fine. Not noticeably excellent, but not bad either. The wait staff was helpful with recommendations. This is absolutely driveable from NY--I'm from the Five Towns--and a nice change of pace. There's also a shul less than a mile away, which made mincha/maariv easy. read more

Came here with a large group of 18 peoplelast minute. Everyone's food was delicious and described well by our waitor. Everything exceeded our expectations. I had the chicken pargiyot which was unbelievable I can't wait to come back. They also have outdoor seating which is a rarity for a meat kosher spot. They have TVs by the bar for sports fans as well.
