    OR state Pinot Noir- fantastic

Great service and ambiance. We came here on a recommendation from our cousin. He said the food is usually great and well prepared. Tonight was a little off. Only a few dishes like the paella and the pastas were seasoned. I really mean it! There was no salt or pepper or chili flakes. We really should have said something! The cooks must prepare the dishes so many times it becomes, "auto". This said, if it's automatic then it should be seasoned, no? The chef or sous chef was off for the night. No one was running the "pass". To catch this huge flaw. I am going to give the benefit of doubt that the food is usually great! Anyway. The wine and eating with my family was the highlight of this evening. Enjoy?

We celebrated my friend's birthday here, and we were thoroughly impressed! The food was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure our glasses were full. We enjoyed the food and shared the main courses around the table. When we arrived for lunch, the area was very well lit, with big open windows that let in plenty of light.

My friends and I decided at the last minute to dine here. We always loved Rigo so it made perfect sense to enjoy each other's company at one of our favorite restaurants. As always the food, service, and atmosphere were top-notch. We had a wonderful and relaxing dining experience. We'll be back soon!

Came for happy hour and got their mai tai, jamon serrano, kanpachi ceviche, and octopus. Jamon Serrano was delicious, would get it again. Ceviche was good. Nice to try but would be willing to skip to try something else. Would skip octopus for sure in future visits. It was tough and bland. Mai tai was also delicious. Cute interior. Service was fine. I left something behind and they called me so quickly that I was able to easily grab go back and grab it. Will return again!

Came here for dinner on a whim with a friend and we really enjoyed our experience!! Service was wonderful, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Ambience inside was nice. Bathrooms are also very cute and clean too :) Food was great. Personally would not get the bolognese again. Pizza bismark was good!! The crostini as an appetizer was wonderful. Would definitely come back!

Rigo is labeled a spanish italian restaurant and I'd have to say it was as tasty and authentic as they claim to be. We started off with the Rigo Caeser Salad and it was one of the better Caesar salads I've had. Fresh ingredients and their homemade dressing complemented each other very well. Not too heavy and light enough to satisfy your salad cravings. Next we had the Gambas al Ajillo, tapas made with shrimp, garlic, and olive oil. It was also very good and reminded me of the same dish I had in Barcelona. For our entree, we had the Seafood Caldoso, which was excellent! I've never had this before as I usually have paella but decided to try it based on the server's recommendation. It is similar to paella but more brothy. The flavors blended well and the soup adds a nice element to the variety of seafood you get. I enjoyed this more than the paella and will definitely order it again. The service here was excellent. Very attentive and we got a lot of good suggestions on what was good and popular. The atmosphere is nice and casual. Noise level is good so you can enjoy your meal and have a nice conversation. I would recommend this place for a really nice lunch or dinner. We came for lunch and there aren't too many nice lunch spots in the area so it was a pleasant surprise!

We've been here a bunch of times now, whether it's for date nights, gatherings with friends, or celebrations--Rigo's tapas, pastas, and pizzas never miss. It is definitely on the pricier side, though, and the atmosphere can get a bit loud depending on when you go, so it may not be the best spot for conversations. That said, the ambiance is sophisticated and perfect for a nice, lively night out. The drinks, however, were quite underwhelming and definitely not worth the ~$17+ price per drink. I especially love their seafood paella, and my boyfriend always orders the Crostini and Pizza Bismarck. We usually share one or two entrées and fill the rest of the table with 5-6 tapas, and we're pretty stuffed by the end.

A beautiful space with delicious small bites. I came with two other people and sat at the bar - would highly recommend making reservations because the place was packed! We shared three appetizers and two pastas which was enough food for us, but not a ton. All of the appetizers were a hit, and our server suggested a side of bread for the vongole steamed clams which was a must. The pastas were fine but slightly small portions for the price. The parking is valet only, so make sure to bring some cash. You could also probably park in the shopping center across the street.

This place is located on Diamond Head side of Kapahulu across from Safeway. They have valet parking. The alternative is finding street parking in the neighborhood which is troublesome. The food was a fusion as advertised but as is the case with fine dining, the portions are very small (see photos). The pizza Bismark was pretty good. Overall not my favorite type of place although my friends who we were with go quite often.

Loved our dinner here! We ordered a variety of apps (crostini, pizzetta, garlic parmesan bread), 2 pastas (aglio olio e peperoncino, vongole), pizza calabrese, and tiramisu. Everything was tasty, fresh, and delicious. Prices are semi-high but not egregious given experience, ambiance, and quality. Service was also friendly. The one thing we were disappointed by was the lack of celebration for our special occasion. We noted that we were celebrating a milestone birthday when we made our reservation, and we mentioned this again to our server when we arrived. Despite that, we didn't receive anything special to commemorate the occasion which felt like a miss. From reading other reviews, seems like this is a pattern with Rigo.

On my last night in Hawaii, I decided to try Rigo, a restaurant recommended by a friend. They serve Spanish and Italian food in a tapas style format. The Gambas Al Ajillo were a bit disappointing; the shrimp were small and not very impactful. However, the cocktails and rest of the dishes were delicious, especially the pizza! They offer valet parking or street parking.

Food was so good, we went for Valentine's day with no reservation. But we were luckily able to get seats at the bar. The food was not crazy expensive. We got a good amount of food and drinks. And was less than a set meal at another restaurant we did have reservations too. So pretty great deal in my opinion. The Gambas Al Ajillo went great with the Garlic Parmesan Bread. This was recommended to us by the bartender to try together, and we would definitely recommend to others as well. Definitely would visit again!

Rigo is a great choice for date night, special occasions, or cocktails and pupus with friends. I've been going to Rigo since they first opened. I have really enjoyed seeing how their Spanish/Italian Tapa style menu has evolved over the years and at the same time, love that the cool chic colorful Havana style interior and vibe has stayed the same. My favorite dishes: the smoky savory Melanzane topped with jalapeños, the perfectly sweet tender grilled pork belly pinchos, the classic Spanish tortilla, garlicky salty Gambas al ajillo, and any of the paellas or caldosos which you can't find many other places on island. I would also suggest adding an order of their garlic Parmesan bread to dip into their delectable sauces. On a recent visit, I also tried their American wagyu sirloin, pancetta artichoke aglio e olio special, and the honey beybe cocktail (lavender earl grey) which I will definitely be ordering again. To top it off, our table shared a slice of basque cheesecake. The best part, the prices have remained reasonable and perfect for sharing. Valet parking available outside the restaurant.

Side note, the last time I ordered the stew/rice combo, it wasn't enough for the Mr, and since there was rice at home, he ordered the stew separate. I was in a meeting, and would enjoy my food after I was done. As I stepped out of my home office, I see hubs hardly at any stew, and I asked him if he was waiting for me to eat. He said no, and told me "if you want the stew, you can have it". Oh no, I know exactly what that means, so I offered him half of my pastele plate. He said no, and he looked bummed out. I knew I would need to reheat my plate, as it sat for 20 minutes before I got to eat it. While I was reheating my plate, I took a bite of his stew. I had to stop and look at the stew and it looked different. So I took another bite. The taste was ok (not like the amazing stew in the past), but the meat had a different texture. One more bite.....that's when I realized and then asked hubs, "Is that ground pork? Is that why it's different?" And he agreed, "that's what it is! ground pork!" The flavor was a bit off too, but the meat made all the difference. My reheated #5 plate was fine, a little bit salty, but just fine, no complaints. Finished up with the pastele lumpia, which was greasy (usually is unless its fresh) and asked hubs about the bill. Well, I understand inflation is a terrible thing for small businesses and consumers, but my jaw dropped when he said it was $50. And he wasn't a happy camper about the price or the stew. -Sigh- I don't give up easily on places I've enjoyed for years, so I will be back, eventually.

Think twice about coming here if you're looking for a good experience…read more Upon arriving, I thought what a cute little authentic traditional peruvian restaurant. I was quickly sat, and I placed my order for Yucca Fries, Ceviche, and Fried Rice. They brought out the yucca fries with seemingly old cheese sauce and a garlic aioli dip. The yucca was great, hearty, and came in a large portion. They brought water in a dirty plastic container and I brushed it off, since it was only dirty on the outside. The water was clear and there wasn't any debris inside. After I noticed the dirty water container, I noticed that there was pita chip debris and sauce on the table i was seated at, that wasn't from me. Next came the ceviche, and we didn't have any utensils so we had to ask for some. I opened my utensils and saw that there were old scraps in between the fork grooves. This was the second sign of the establishment being unsanitary. The ceviche looked too white to be freshly made, and was leathery. I couldn't cut through it with my fork and knife. The flavoring was decent but it felt that they premade the batch instead of making it fresh. Then, as I went for a second bite for the ceviche, I found ants crawling on my plate. That did it for me for my own unsanitary reasons. I decided to no longer eat the ceviche and I was going to finish the yucca fries.. I was still waiting for the fried rice to come out. The younger lady brought the fried rice to the table, and that's when we mentioned she could take the ceviche away, since there were ants in it. She ended up taking all of the food away, even the fried rice that she just placed down. She even snatched the plate of yucca fries from my hand when I was grabbing them to eat and came back to the table mad with the bill. The whole experience took a turn when I looked at the bill and she towered over me and my boyfriend demanding we pay for everything. Maybe it was shallow of me to expect the ceviche to be comped since there were bugs in it, and shallow of me to not want to pay for the fried rice since we didn't even get to eat it. They didn't even offer to make fresh food or let us box the food we had already. She told us that she threw it in the trash and kept demanding that we pay for it. She then changed what she was saying to that she actually had the food in the back and was boxing it up for us. Why lie about it then? She ended up removing the ceviche and I paid for the yucca fries and fried rice -- mind you they didn't pack the yucca fries up and there were more than 5+ pieces still on my plate. I will never come back here. They need to be on restaurant rescue or something and they need to take some customer service lessons because the entire altercation and cleanliness is unacceptable.
