We had our RV there when it was Goodyear Storage and the experience was great. After leaving for two years and needing to put our RV in storage as well as rent a 10x10 unit it has been nothing but a hassle, confusion over billing, price increases after 90 days, and the inability to reach a "real" person on the phone to discuss and resolve issues!! Out of state corporate ownership with poor customer service!! I will be traveling back to Arizona (currently out of state) just to locate another facility and remove my RV and possessions as soon as possible!! read more

Ashley gave me a tour prior to signing the paperwork for a unit. When I asked her where the carts were located, she said they would be in the hallways of the buildings and that there was no specific designated cart area. I quickly realized the first day of trying to move in my stuff that carts were hard to find if you could at all. I had a ton of boxes to move into my unit. When I asked Ashley about the carts she indicated that people put them in their storage units sometimes. It turns out there were only 3 actual working carts for the entire premises and she was waiting for approval for more carts. She offered no solution to how I would be able to move in all of my stuff and I was on a time crunch to do so as well. I called around to find an alternate storage facility that same day and moved back out what I had put into the unit the next morning. There was no offer to reimburse the first month that I had paid despite the manager having misled me about the cart situation. Since I am out $135, I felt it important to warn other people if they have a lot of stuff to put into storage. read more

We moved units during our time at Goodyear Self Storage, thinking they would handle the move seamlessly, well we were wrong. They never closed out the original unit's account, tried to double-charge us the first month, I had to go in and talk to Melissa who promised me it was handled but it never was. They ended up sending the first unit to collections in my name and hitting my credit report - we're now trying to close on a house and our APR is way higher than it should be because of this 1 collection. I've called 10+ times, tried to give them a chance before leaving a review, and no one here will help. They also won't give me any manger contact information for someone to help us above whoever is at the front desk. All they have to do is call Aargon Collections and said "hey, we screwed up - please remove the collection" but no one will even offer to call us back. I never planned to need storage for 4 years but that's what happened. When I left Goodyear in 2017 I had every intention to return within the year. However, God had other plans. I rented the smallest shed they had and filled it pretty full. It was $54/month when I started and has climbed every year. I'm a little disappointed in that for a long-term customer. I get that prices go up and new people coming in should be charged whatever the "going price" is I suppose. But when you have someone who has rented with monthly auto-pay for 4 years, it would be nice if the price could be locked in. Anyway, the staff was always really nice especially this last lady, Melissa. She is very sweet. I have no other complaints...and for the lady who complained of dead bugs outside her unit...seriously? You're renting an outdoor storage unit in the desert! Besides, the bugs were dead, so that's a big plus! Anyway, I just knew it was time to go when my price went up to $94/month earlier in 2021. I would recommend this storage but only if you need something short-term. read more

I reserved a space here because I needed storage solution until we finalize our permanent home here in Arizona. Moving from Washington state is a tumultuous task and this storage unit is close to our apartment, which we plan to live for a few months. As noted moving from Seattle is a big feat and timing sometimes doesn't go according to plan. The original guy I spoke with was kind and friendly in moving my reservation. He is not the one I have a problem with. The one I have a problem with is the rude woman who I spoke with yesterday with an attitude when I called in. Her tone of voice and easy dismissal of getting me off the phone when I was trying to talk to her was offputting. Apparently based on a most recent yelp review from another helper, the attitude and rudeness is common with your workers. I clearly WOULD NOT do business with this storage if she works there. Bad customer service and having a tone with customers does not fare well with customers. If yelp had an option to give negative stars I would, but the only saving grace of that place is the man who I spoke to early on in my reservation. Note to management: please hire more people who have similar traits of the gentleman, he has qualities that represent good characteristics of a worker who has to deal with customers and potential customers. I will not do business with this place (even with its ideal location) with how rude that lady was over the phone. I'm glad I didn't go in otherwise her face would be embedded in my mind as bad customer service representative of the year with her bad attitude. This place was terrible. The workers have such bad attitudes and were super rude and not helpful. . You can tell they're just here for the money and nothing else which is just sad for the people who have to interact with them. I'd give no stars if possible! I wish I could rate this place lower. This "business" randomly raises the rent for absolutely no reason and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. without any sort of notice. They don't answer phone calls or emails. We've only been there around two years and started paying about $114 a month and we're currently up to just under $170 a month for a tiny unit and terrible customer service. I stored my boat here for 5 years... the first three years were excellent, then the new owners took over and this place went down hill in a hurry... The gate was broken and left wide open for anyone to come or go without a code at all. This lasted at least a month or more. In the mean time, I got a letter stating my rent was being raised another $25 per month, due to 'cost of doing business', but they cant bother to fix the security gate. When we moved in, there was water and air hoses available for tenants to use with their RVs and boats. Those hoses are gone and no longer available for use... then my rent was raised another $25 per month. Again.. 'cost of doing business' was the reason given..but they can't bother to fix or replace the hoses.. The final straw was when my boat was broken into and someone stole about $50 worth of stuff..whatever, but they left the cover off and the boat got all muddy inside from the monsoon dust and rain. I noticed the other boats in my row had covers removed as well.. I think there are homeless people living out of some of the storage units, because I've seen people bathing and doing laundry at the water faucet on more than one occasion... Avoid this place, there are much better facilities in the area especially with the high rent they charge for this inferior facility.... read more

Stopped in today 9/21/21 & told manager lady for the second time to her specifically that there are dead beetle bugs, dead spiders & dirt near my 3 storage units. (I've seen this for over a month! ) Again, no sorry, I'll clean it up right away - nothing. She said 1 person must be in the office at all times. I told her I was a manager & supervisor prior & if I were her, I would make sure & sweep the area to keep my customer happy. She also said all units are full! I would be embarrassed if someone complained 2x's about the same issue to me! Did you not learn how to treat customers in your training? Owners - get a new manager! read more

I have kept my toy hauler here for a couple of years. First off the spots are not angled enough to pull into. They switched me to several different spots to find one I could use. I stayed because it was close to my house. It started out at $50 per month. About 3 months ago they raised it to $78 per month. Now they just raised it to $101 per month. See ya!! This spot was also on the dirt. Found a new spot for $60 per month on asphalt. Bot to mention angled correctly. read more

TOTALLY DISHONEST THIEVES..... We paid for our RV space through June 30th 2017 and on June 14th we notified the office manager we would be leaving at the end of the month. She said "oh good I have a guy that wants a covered space immediately". We said he can have it from the 15th on if the office refunded a half months rent. I went back a few days later and my gate code was disabled. I went in the office and asked why? I was told I was removed from the system and they can't let me on the property. I told her I want to visually see that they did not rent my space before the month ended and they had NO RIGHT to remove me from the system while I was still paying for the spot. They insisted that I could not come on the property to look. I told her that it was totally dishonest to bill me and the other tenant for the same space at the same time. She threatened to call the police if I did not leave. TOTALLY DISHONEST THIEVES and she knew she got caught scamming me instead of refunding the second half of the month. TOTALLY DISHONEST THIEVES. Later that day we received a call from a supposed District Manager named Clarissa who said she wanted to resolve the issue to our satisfaction. She said she agreed I should have been granted access and so she would refund a half months rental if I took down my negative review. She said they depend on these reviews for word of mouth referrals and could I please take it down. She said I would received a check within 4 - 6 weeks and today is June 26 and the clock is ticking to see if she makes good on "her word" or if they are Thieves and liars. I kept my word and removed the review within 15 minutes of our conversation. UPDATE.. We waited 4 weeks, NOTHING, we waited 6 weeks NOTHING, it's now 8 weeks and still NOTHING. I have given them the benefit of the doubt to make good on their promise. I stand by my original assessment that they are TOTALLY DISHONEST THIEVES,,,, AND ALSO LIARS. read more

Had a very frustrating experience with their billing system and they didn't even have their billing email address set up correctly which we mentioned several times. On-site staff refused to communicate messages and concerns to Christie their manager. We did enjoy working with her though when we could get her. Last straw was pulling up last night (4-30-2017) to drop off at 6:30pm and we couldn't gain access. Gate access is until 7:45pm. And our acct was current. No after hours emergency phone number provided for help and still haven't received a return call addressing the problem. Hubby had to back out on to a major thoroughfare in the dark which is extremely unsafe. We will not recommend this facility. read more

I stored my trailer here for the last 5 years without issue. Now the new ownership is the WORST! First I was never notified about an ownership change. Then I get locked in the yard middle of the night with my kid cause they changed my access. The number on the key bad was to an old employee from the last owner. Then the onsite guy was at the bar and showed up 75mins later after I called the cops. Turns out the ex-employee called some people who knew the guys. he did ask me to remove his number. Now they wont honor the old owners deals and the prices change daily/hourly. I called to confirm pricing today and it changed after I had already hauled my trailer and kid to the facility. I am usually not one to judge but the new staff seams absolutely clueless. Maybe they should spend less money on facial piercings and tattoos and learn some customer service skills. They actually though it was funny that I told them the prices are never he same. Think twice before you store at here! Rant Over. read more
