First got a quote on line from U-Haul for a 16-foot moving truck and then tried Penske. The…read moreannoying thing with Penske's website is in order to get a quote you have to enter your e-mail and phone number (you can of course fake those). Penske turned out to be slightly less than U-Haul, but I didn't book anything at that time. Within the next few days I received two voice mails from Penske following up on my quote. Instead of booking on line I ended up calling their 800- number and the lady was kind enough to give me a discount. They had four different pick up locations in Phoenix and the most convenient pickup location turned out to be Sun Rentals, an independent Penske agent. Jay called me a couple of days before the scheduled pickup to confirm and I called him back. Jay was very professional and friendly and the truck was a almost new GMC that had a very smooth ride, but of course was a gas guzzler.

While I am unable to speak to the competitiveness of prices, or customer service, what I can speak to is cleanliness. The facility itself seemed well taken care of. No trash laying about. Doors were not dented. Our door went up easily. The facility was quite. RV, boat and car parking is available. They also sell moving boxes and packing supplies. And, this is indeed what happened with me. So, I placed my order 2 days ago, and picked it up today. Also, because this is an Independent U-haul facility, packaging prices are slightly higher than on U-hauls website. Though, still a much better deal than the hardware store has on the same stuff. Now, due to an apparent misunderstanding, they didn't have my material there when I arrived. So, I had to wait a while for the co-owner to go get the stuff, and bring it to the store. However, they did good by me because of the delay. And, because of this, I'm giving them top marks.
