Not sure if 2 stars is fair or not, so here's my story. We rent 2 small (5X5) units from them and have for years now. Over the last few years they have changed managers several times. They have also upgraded their automated access a few times. We've been locked out before for non-payment (they system automatically does this) but it was never urgent. Today it was, They have pay at the gate so it cost me $79.00 to get in, they were closed so I either waited or paid. It's important to note that we have never had a late or missed payment since we've been doing business with them. When I go in there they always fix the problem right away. The facility is always clean and well maintained. If it wasn't for their automated system locking us out all the time I would probably have given them 4-5 stars. The billing/lockout problem has gotten worse over the years but the property itself has improved. I guess the bottom line is it doesn't matter how nice it is on the inside, it's useless if you can't get in. Update 12-14-09 They were very apologetic and will be refunding me the money. The regional director even sent me an email. Great customer service, tech department needs work. Now that the regional director is involved maybe it will get fixed. read more

We just rented a storage unit here last week and so I don't have much to say about it YET. The manager on duty that day was friendly and drove us around to a few different size storage units - even to some that I wasn't that interested in but she wanted to show us comparison in size which I thought was nice that she took that extra step. They currently have a deal going on now that makes renting storage units half off for the first 6 months. There is no contract and you can leave at any time but need to let them know 10 days in advance before the next billing cycle. This place has constant management turn over. You cannot use the dumpster even though you pay a hefty amount monthly and neither do they pro-rate after a certain deadline, however they "claim" they notified you. My business requires I have a storage unit, I was here for one year, the previous storage location 13 yrs. this was the absolute worst storage facility. I have used this storage facility on and off for ten years. Most recently have had a unit for over two years as I have been out of state. I've always liked the fact that they contacted me via email or phone for payments due. Recently they sold everything I own without even contacting me....no mail, no phone, no email.....my life and over 40k worth of belongings!!!! We have been using this facility for quite some time now. The old managers and new managers have been nothing but friendly and professional to all! Reading some of the reviews on here really baffles me when those who are complaining are the ones who are at fault... If you make an agreement to store your belongings, it's YOUR responsibility to make sure you pay your way... Nothing in life is free and you should be a responsible adult! Yes, things happen, but then it's YOUR responsibility to make the necessary arrangements to either get your stuff out or try to at least make payment arrangements. If you ignore it, it doesn't go away.... I would DEFINITELY recommend this facility to all who ask where to go for storage.. They are helpful, the storage facility is gated and very clean. You can go into the office and a lot of times you will see Larry or Jennifer behind the desk with smiles on their faces ready to chat about your day! My unit was up for auction, I am bad about regularly checking my dmail, that's all my fault. I didn't first decline to pay the discounted ammount, an hour after I saw that email I paid it, no offer was ever declined. And anyway, me being behind on jmy payments, and the fact it was up for auction is not a factor in the issue at hand. It doesn't matter how behind I was, none of my belongings should be missing. Period. Or was that something I overlooked in the contract?.if my payments are in the rear and I may possibly lose my belongings, employees of the storage facility then have the right to go through my stuff and take what they want. ?? I don't think that was part of the deal..and btw nobody ever gave me a lock for my unit, I provided my own lock. And actually when I once lost my key, not only was I not allowed to cut off my own lock, I was also charged $50 to have my lock cut off for me and I again supplied my own lock. Ad I'm really ktnsure what the no good deed go unpunished remark is about. Not sure what good deed u feel u did. All you've done in regards to this situation is your job, and seeing as how i was a little down on my luck I ended up in a position where someone in charge of something such as yourself was able to take advantage that. Theft Report - My husband and I placed our items in storage here in an inside unit in October 2015 and paid in advance for a year and have continued to pay timely as we traveled out of the country. In Nov 2018 we returned for the first time to find that the lock had been cut off (our marked keys no longer worked) and replaced with another lock. Items valued over $23,000 had been selectively stolen from the unit in our absence. The unit was not rifled through, the boxes were moved to the hallway to access the cedar chest at the bottom, the items stolen from the cedar chest, and the boxes re-stacked. The previous unit managers had knowledge of our plans to be out of the country for an extended time and knowledge of the contents of the cedar chest from video camera footage. No one had access to the unit except for them for duration of the three years of storage. A police report was made. The new managers were cooperative. The general manager would not provide information requested regarding the property owner's name or previous managers' names for the police investigation and would not provide information regarding previous theft reports. The police officer told us that storage units like this are "broken into all the time" in the Phoenix area, but they "don't usually neatly re-pack it and add a new lock afterwards." Obviously this was done to hide the theft until after the previous managers left a few months later in spring of 2016. read more
