I came here with a big group for a work dinner. There were a few appetizers ordered for the table; meatballs and their famous fried ravioli and calamari. I did not enjoy the ravioli as I found the meat filling too granular and the sauce way too sweet but the meatballs and calamari were actually very tasty. For my entree I got the cannelloni but again I didn't love the meat filling and the marinara is absurdly sweet. The portion size was so so compared to my fellow diner's portion sizes. Don't Waste your hard earned $$$ with mediocre tasting food and little portions that my 15 yo stated Dominos Pizza had better Pasta. I brought my in-laws, wife and two kids(12 & 15). I ordered the toasted ravioli and flash fried spinach as Appetizers. Drinks were slow in coming. Only toasted ravioli came out and it was HORRIBLE! Look at what we received and what they advertised. This was my first visit to Rigazzi's in about two years. Sadly, I have to say that my experience this time was disappointing. The food seemed to be pre-made, as opposed to being freshly made to order. My Caesar salad was served on a cold plate, which suggests that it was pre-made, and taken out of the fridge. And it was made with iceberg lettuce, instead of the traditional Romaine lettuce, with quite a bit of dressing on top (as opposed to lightly tossing it with the lettuce, which is how it's normally prepared), and croutons off to the side. My entree, and that of my dinner guest, appeared to be reheated. It felt as if we were served leftovers. For dessert, I ordered the New York style cheesecake with a drizzle of strawberry syrup. However, instead of the syrup being lightly drizzled over the cheesecake, it was poured over it. The cheesecake was literally sitting in a pool of syrup on the plate. The service was prompt and friendly, although our appetizer came out after we were already served our entrees. However, our server was nice enough to take the appetizer off our bill for our inconvenience. Overall, though, the food was just OK. It wasn't as good as it was when was I there two years ago. In baseball lexicon, Rigazzi's fast ball has lost quite a bit of velocity. Perhaps it has something to do with the change in ownership that occurred not long after my previous visit. read more

The server was wonderful, handled a group of eight all with separate bills without issue. We had one person in our group with health issues that needed gluten-free, she asked the server several times if the pizza she ordered truly was gluten-free and she was assured It was, but then did get sick afterwards so it was left uncertain as to whether it truly was. The ambience is true to the St Louis Hill, interior vintage and interesting. Would I return? I wouldn't necessarily seek it out on my own, but would go again with a group of friends if that was the selected place. I wouldn't recommend to go as they didn't seem to have a very good system for this. I would stop by and have a drink here sometime, but overall the food was pretty average. The house salad was remarkable! Fresh romaine with green olives that gave it a little kick. Toasted ravioli were a bit different than other STL traditional toasted ravs - these were tiny little pockets of meat which seemed to be deep fried. Yum! If you're not coming for the fishbowls alone, what are you doinggg. Iconic. So much history in this place. So much character. You could spend hours just inspecting the decor. The food is the only thing keeping me from giving my full five stars, but they've been making some changes to their menu and chefs recently I hear, and each time I've been in here, I've had a better experience. Nevertheless a GREAT spot for drinks and hanging out on the Hill. The new high-top tables near the bar are prime for groups, either sitting or standing, and the patio is a great little vibe outside as well. Was close to the Hill and looking for something to eat with the family. Rigazzi's was one of the few restaurants open for lunch and so glad we stopped by. Rigazzi's is a classic restaurant that serves all the dishes you expect as well as some STL ones we were excited to see. Server was quick to take our order and deliver drinks quickly. The Decor inside of Rigazzi's was pretty cool and provides an intimate and causal dining experience. Food was quick and no issues with seasoning or taste, and reasonable prices. Will be back to Rigazzi's, as Sunday is usually a great time for lunch in the Hill. Give them a try! read more

We just stopped in for a few drinks and Bex was our waitress. She is AWESOME!! Such a sweet personality and one of the very best waitresses any of us have ever had. She was the only one covering the floor at the time and she was on it.....with a smile!! She even took the time to go outside with us and take our picture in the arch out front!! One of the best pastas I've ever had and I'm pretty picky with pasta! First of all, I love that this has a more casual/relaxed vibe compared to other restaurants in the Hill. Parking is easy with a small lot behind and plenty of street parking around the Hill. The inside was spacious with a lot of indoor seating. Came here on a Friday around 5pm and we were seated right away. Service was good and pretty fast. The toasted ravioli and classic wings were good, but the highlight was the salsiccia diavolo! The sauce actually had a spicy kick to it which was perfect (I feel like restaurants don't usually make it that spicy and I have to add crushed red pepper to make it spicier) and ended up tasting even better the next day when I had leftovers. Lunch specials are a good value. For one we chose a chicken Caesar salad. It was large but not too large with plenty of chicken. More importantly, it wasn't overly sauced and lettuce was fresh. The other meal was parmaciano with fried broccoli, creamy Italian soup, snd a small house salad. The meat patty had the flavor and consistency of a meatball covered with cheese and a red sauce. The breaded broccoli was overcooked with a light burnt taste. The soup and salad were excellent. Service was a little distant. A great place to go if you're wanting pasta on the Hill. I would recommend this place if you're wanting something a little more casual and affordable. They also usually have a short wait for tables because their dining room is so large and service is quick. We got seated after a ten minute wait on a Friday night. I've had great experiences before. This visit the kitchen lost our ticket so we waited an hour for food but the wait staff was nice and gave us a great discount which we were very pleased about. A very dear friend of mine and I met after years of separation and slid into one of Bex's booths with ease. She was amazing (and patient) allowing us all the time we needed to have our conversations and catch up. Which we really appreciated. But at the same time, she was super attentive. They have really great gluten-free options, so I was happy to eat there with my celiac and I felt very comfortable to do so. There were big groups, intimate dates and friends in small groups. This place can handle it all. It's a really cool little place in St. Louis and if you're in the mood for Italian food, I feel like this is should be your go-to. This restaurant used to be one of our favorites. We had a party of 7, some who have been dining here for 30+ years. 1st I specifically requested a kids menu for my grandson(7 years old). I feel the waiter should have caught that it was suppose to have been a kids meal.(The 7 year old ordered himself! Then, my friend in the party ordered a hamburger and fries well done. He got a Raw hamburger. He had cut the burger in half. So, he sent it back. The waiter brought a burger back. The same exact burger, which was well done this time, but the bun was hard as a rock, so clearly it indicated it had been microwaved. One server took our order and then another server corrected the first and we discovered that the online menu is out of date, so we had to switch our order. The food was pretty good! The Margarita Pizza was fresh, but basic. The crust is crispy and seems homemade. The beef sandwich was also pretty good, but also basic. Server was friendly. The ambiance in this place is laid back but what threw my for a loop was the music choice for an Italian place. As a lifetime STL Italian I visited for the first time March 7, 2026 wife my wife and 4 friends. What an utter disappointment for a restaurant on The Hill especially from an Italian restaurant. Had to ask for our server several times and for manager to assist with our drink and food order. Their choice of bread was underwhelming and wasn't surprised when our server mentioned she was in the back thawing bread for another table. With all of the wonderful bakeries on The Hill they are using frozen bread. My Tutto Mare lacked flavor, the sauce was basic, and could have had more of the shrimp, claims, and scallops (pea sized). The Caesar dressing for our salad was watery and did not carry the flavor of anchovies our server said it had. We sampled the Arancini (overcooked/crust overly crunchy/inside not tender), meatballs we not hot with a runny marinara sauce, Calamari just ok. Overall I was not impressed and the fishbowl beer my friend got was not in a frozen glass. If this is your trade mark item you never run out of frozen glasses. I visited another local bar in the area and overheard a patron say he only goes to Rigazzi's for the bar and not the food. I understand why. Guests will appreciate getting back to the basics with quality over speed; which they didn't exactly show either. Another suggestion would be to get away from the paper order pads and move up to technology allowing for a more timely delivery of drinks, apps, salads, and entrees. When we received our bills we noticed a mandatory gratuity applied to our bill for our party of 6. When we asked about this our server said its posted by the door and gave attitude. I looked on the menu, in the front lobby where she said it was posted, and even asked the manager about this and he said there is nothing posted about this mandatory gratuity for 6 or more. We were subjected to poor service, poor food quality and forced to pay a 20% tip for a very poor experience. There are many other places on The Hill and in the STL area to eat and we don't plan to go back. read more

It took about 20 mins for us to be acknowledged at the bar and have the plates cleared. My husband ordered pasta con broccoli and I ordered potato skins. My husbands pasta came out 20 mins before my appetizer. When asked they said they were on the way. When brought out finally this is what they looked like. They're extremely burnt and supposed to have pepperoni but there's not much. I don't firmly believe I should've been charged for an app that came out 20 mins after an entree. Especially being this burnt, on top of the burnt taste. I want to love this place but I don't and I feel sorry for that. I hope everyone else has a lovely experience. I'm sure normally they're great. Took a while to get a table most likely from the SLU and Blues game that night and was pretty crammed. We got the toasted raviolis which were a decent start to the meal but could stand to be more crispy, and a ceaser salad which was fine, could use more dressing. The big issue I had was with the lasagna. On the menu it said it was "colossal" and I ended up eating it in about 7 bites. Taste-wise is was very good, props on that. We traveled from out of town staying for the weekend. Heard nothing but good things about the food and ambiance. Needless to say our experience was awful. It was a busy weekend so obviously was not expecting much. We waited an hour to be seated which was expected. But we sat down and waited almost 2 hours for our dinner. Waiter was very apologetic but never saw a manager except in passing. There was a table near us that waited longer. As a side note they seemed fully staffed. This is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE neighborhood fun bar/restaurants. It's been recently purchased by new owners who have spruced up the place a bit. It still has the comforting, old style, Italian, hill vibe with a bit of a refresh! The place looks clean and the employees seem happy and are always friendly. The HH menu is awesome. The regular food menu has some exciting updates! One of my favorite items is the GLUTEN FREE crust pizza! While they do not have vegan cheese this IS one of my favorite gluten free crusts for taste AND texture. It's so good I don't mind eating it without vegan cheese. I love the salmon as well. The place is usually buzzing and the energy is good. I love coming here for the fun vibes. And keeping with the old school tradition they will still serve you the drink of your choice in a fish bowl! read more
