Walked in right at opening and have to say the first impression was poor to say the least. No greeting from the "owner" who was at the register and using his cell phone. Ordered the porchetta with his house made Schiacciata bread. The sandwich itself reminded me of a modern version of porchetta and a bit different than other places I've had it as a sandwich. I will say that it was delicious and a very good size for the price of the sandwich. I did like his house made bread and his Italian salsa verde was on point too. No ambiance to this place at all. Was a tiny lil corner store turned into this lil deli and judging by the foot traffic while I was waiting, most are stopping in to grab a sandwich to go. Only a few small bar seats in the place and a couple of picnic tables outside. Definitely worth the visit and I could see this place really doing great if managed properly. Went to get some lunch from the best toasted rav spot in stl and decided to check out the roast beef sandwhich for first time. This sandwhich was amazing. The beef was tender and delicious. I got the toasted ravs as I heard those were must haves from this place and I loved it! I got the buffalo chicken dip ravs and the cheese ones and both were flavorful and if you're craving toasted ravs I'd go here. I also ordered the mozz sticks and although it seems pricy they are huge so it's like 12 dollars for like 8 medium sticks which isn't bad. I also got the desert ravs which were gooey butter and pecan which were absolutely a must try, it was truly unique and something I will want to come back for even just separate! I ordered to go so I was not able to really interact with the service but my food was ready as I got there and I didn't have any issues picking up. First time here! We tried them at a pop up a while ago, and it was phenomenal. Got a mix of the t-ravs, cheese & meat. The ravioli is stuffed full of goodness. The cheese ones were so ooey gooey and piping hot! I don't know how many cheeses are in there, but they complement each other well. The meat one was filled with flavorful seasoned meat. Each ravioli is fresh & pillowy. The marinara is a little on the sweet side, but complements the t-ravs. We had to try the roast beef sandwich on garlic cheese bread. We were not disappointed. The garlic bread was perfect for the roast beef. The lean cut made my mouth water. Thinly sliced and stacked. Just a little au jus is perfect. The people working here really care about the craft, you can feel it in the air and in the fresh food. Local supporting local is an amazing thing in our community. read more

This was my first time at STL Toasted, and I was pleasantly surprised! From the outside, it may not look like much, but the food is great and the service was top-notch. I recommend ordering before you get in, so you don't have to wait! Food- the Porchetta was AMAZING. I've never had anything like it, but it was recommended to me by a friend. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor combo was delicious. We also got toasted raviolis, which were some of my favorites from The Hill. Made in house, and tons of meat filling on the inside - no air pockets. The only thing that would improve the experience is if there was more seating available. This location is not ideal for dine-in, as there's only seating available outside (as of Oct of 2025, lots of nearby construction sounds too). Not food-related, but I love the clock that's on top of the cabinet to the left as you walk in. I've never seen one like that, very cool! read more

My son and I stopped here on a whim and I'm so glad we did! We shared the roast beef sandwich on cheesy garlic bread with lettuce, tomato, onions, banana peppers and the garlic mayo! We even added a little of the homemade dressing on the lettuce! Holy moly! I'm going to CRAVE this sandwich! It was enough for he and I to share with a side of 6 freshly prepared toasted ravs. My son described the t-ravs as being like fried meatballs which was pretty accurate! The owners and her dad were all there making us feel welcome; they were so friendly! They didn't have indoor seating but had a few picnic tables on the sidewalk so we sat there and enjoyed our food. Short version - We waited 30 minutes for the wrong sandwich. It was not great. Long version - I work a 9 - 5 far from the Hill so I have long wanted to have a weekday where I could go enjoy one of the delis. I knew Memorial day would be iffy with places closed for the holiday, but I made a list of delis and made the drive down to see if we could catch any of them open. STL Toasted was the only one open. They seemed busy, possibly because it was the only place open, but I was still excited and willing to wait. The menu is VERY small. Roast beef, porchetta, turkey, salsiccia, and chicken parm, although there is a "secret" menu item of a chopped cheese that I read about online. I was tempted by both the road beef and the turkey but I was excited to try the porchetta so I ordered one for my husband and I to split, along with an order of toasted ravs. We got the special focaccia like bread and added giardiniera. They ask for your phone number but I discovered later that it was NOT to text when your order was ready, it was for rewards. I gave my number and went to wait outside. We snagged one of the 2 picnic tables outside and waited to be texted. I started to get nervous about 20 min in and went to stand inside, and that's when I discovered that they only call names, so I waited inside. I was surprised by how slow the kitchen was moving. Almost no food was coming out. But I was still ok because I was excited about my porchetta. Finally got called and took my long anticipated order outside. Ravs were very plump and nice and hot but not boiling, perfectly fried. They were delicious. The porchetta looked way different than I expected. It was breaded like a cutlet and covered in marinara. Wait a minute, not a porchetta that I ordered and longed for, but a chicken parm sandwich. Literally the last thing on the menu that I would have ordered. In fact, I would not have ordered at all if that was the only thing on the menu. I really do not enjoy chicken parm. I was overwhelmingly disappointed since I had been very excited to try ANY good stl deli on a magical weekday lunch that I never have the opportunity to do. The sandwich was greasy. The focaccia didn't go well with the breaded cutlet. Chicken was decent quality but it was just boring. Marinara kind of soaked through the bread and chunks dropped off. It didn't go well with the giardiniera at all (although porchetta would have). I thought about taking it back in but with the long wait, I didn't want to mess with it. I would have eaten literally ANY sandwich on that menu happily other than the chicken parm. I likely will not have a chance to do this again any time soon, so can't say that I would go again. I think STL Toasted opened on The Hill maybe 3 weeks ago? This was high on my to-do list because I love toasted ravioli and Mama Toscano's had been one of my favorites. They did a nice update to the space but it still felt similar. I ordered six toasted ravioli (3 Original Beef with Marinara sauce and 3 Buffalo Chicken with Buffalo Blue Cheese) to go. There is no indoor seating. The toasted ravioli are delicious! I mean best is subjective but they are certainly Top 5 and could be #1 on any given day. They were puffy, crispy, and extremely hot! To the owners: do research on real Italian ravioli filling or call Nick Toscano for his recipe. Shouldn't be all ground beef that looks like plain ground hamburger and very little seasoning.
