We just walked into Ridley's and they told us that there's an hour wait......and when you look around, they have a bunch of tables open, and no line up inside or outside. Seriously, how long does it take to scramble some eggs and put a couple pieces of toast in the toaster. BYE FELICIA!!! Sorry not sorry!!! PS-Thanks for disappointing Spider-Man Boy.....he was really excited to come here.

SO GOOD! Ridley's breakfast/brunch was very tasty. The food surprised me because it's hard to find good food near the coast. This is definitely a place to come to you won't regret it. My mom described the pancakes as "some of the best she has had". I loved the shrimp and cheese grits. The service is good considering when we went it was very busy. Our server was nice & quick. The ambiance is cute & cozy. I definitely recommend for brunch getting there early if it is peak season. We got there 30 mins after opening and we were the last party sat. After that they had a wait.

Went back a day later for breakfast and they got our orders exactly correct. My wife had the same thing as the day before but it came with everything it was supposed to (two eggs, as she requested and hashbrowns, which they didn't provide the day before). I had the Shrimp and Hatch Chili Grits, oh' my gosh was that delicious!

Ridley's was busy when we arrived, but we were able to order at the outside bar with Michael. Michael was wonderful! We had an hour wait time, but we were served much faster by staying at the outside bar. Our food was fantastic and the drinks were so creative! Ridley's has baked goods at the front, their own starter that you can get before noon for free, and jarred items like jams and pickles. Michael suggested the pickled green beans and they were bomb! We can't wait to go again for their social hour, which occurs every day starting at 2:00pm.

    Garden Frittata

I was there for the fist time to have brunch. Their menu selections are very good, it was a bit difficult to choose but at the end decided on the garden frittata and it was amazing!! The sourdough bread that it is accompaniment to the frittata is made in house as weak as the jams, you can even see their starter behind a glass display. Their coffee is very good as well. The only negative if you want to call it that is the acoustics, when crowded is a bit hard to have a conversation, and parking is very limited, but overall it was a great experience. I would definitely go back

They have a bakery, variety of coffee and espresso. The blueberry pancakes were delicious. Next time I will get the Silver Alert. I can't wait to go back. It felt nice and cozy for breakfast.

Had a late brunch here yesterday and food was really good. Breakfast at 2pm? oh yes! I like that we got there during happy hour too. I love how it's open seating and doesn't feel crowded. Food was pretty big serving. I had chicken fettuccine. It was so good but I got full really fast. This place has it all like the bar, coffees, food and pastries which I thought was a first for me. I just moved here from Hawaii and that surprised me. And our server, I think Genevie (sorry if that's not correct lol), was really friendly.

All I have to say is be prepared to WAIT! Especially if you're going in on a Sunday for Brunch. We waited about an hour and 20 mins to get a seat but let me tell you IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! Also... When we ordered it took about 10 mins for the food to come out so it was fast. Everything we got was amazing. The Chicken Fried Prime Rib was our top favorite with the John Jackson pancakes coming in second. Their sourdough bread with butter and strawberry jelly was amazing too. We got seated outside but the day was nice and we didn't even notice. The inside is really nice. We aren't local but we will definitely be coming back when we are in Corpus.

We came for brunch after reading reviews, and care so happy we did! The restaurant is super fun and AC works extremely well! We sat at the bar, great service and damn the food was tasty! Huge portions and good pricing. We grabbed a beautiful sourdough loaf and their homemade peach jam to go.

Amazing food and amazing service!!! Went with my family and had the most amazing time! Thankfully wasn't too busy and our waitress was amazing!!! I wish I could remember her name but It was something near J, or someone mentioned a Genevieve but she was super nice and gave great service. The food was really tasty, literally no complaints about any of it. The drinks were delish but a little odd but not bad odd 100/10 totally recommend for vacation and locals

Stopped in for brunch on our way home from the beach, and we received amazing food, with exceptional service. It's a small establishment. Booth, table, and bar seating is available. They also have an assortment of pastries and freshly made sourdough bread is also available. Really enjoyed all the food. Pancakes were delicious, fruit was fresh, and sausage was so juicy. The hash brown was so unique and full of flavor. Will definitely be back. Parking: Surface parking, with some spots in gravel.

*** decent breakfast or brunch option but long wait for larger groups in the summer *** Ridleys was my brother's suggestion for a June 20, 2025, family brunch outing. At first there was some communication. We all thought another adult had spoke with the hostess about our group when in actuality no one told her we needed a table for 11. Lol. The hostess apologized to me for the mix-up. It was no big deal because I was told it was a 45-minute wait either way. Actually, we got there at 10:40 and my text that our table was ready arrived at 11:15. + Drip coffee = $2.50 + "Little Piggie Plate" from kid's menu = $7.50 + Strawberry Shortcake pancakes = $10.50 + "The Hurricane" frittata (I ordered this & some of the meat was hard to chew) = $16.50 My youngest brother at the table next to us got his food 10 minutes after all of us which always sucks. Our waitress had a hard time hearing us over the loud group behind us. She performed better than my little brother's waitress, though. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 3 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 3 | Price: 3

I really want to love this place but inconsistent food quality and "island" service are getting in the way. Today was my third visit after a promising second, but it was a failure. The service was slow, food came out at all different times for our party of 6, and it was not served hot. I started ordering a Pacifico Michelada which was flavorless. Turns out they don't even have Pacifico but the waitress didn't know that and didn't bother say anything until later. I ordered an appetizer, "grits of fire" that had the Scoville rating of ketchup. It wasn't bad, just unremarkable. For brunch I ordered the crab cake Benedict which was served with hard poached eggs (no run at all) and was room temperature. There was a scant amount oh hollandaise sauce on it. They did bring some properly poached eggs about 10 minutes after. The staff is generally friendly and tried, but clearly lacks training on the menu or foodservice in general. Pretty sad!

The island needs more restaurants and this is one of our favorites for lunch. Check it out and enjoy.

Price's Chef is the sort of establishment that reminds you America used to smoke cigarettes indoors…read moreand settle arguments with a handshake. A place absolutely drenched in history and nostalgia. Walking in feels like stepping straight into a different era. You half expect to see petrol sitting at $1 a gallon outside while some fella named Earl discusses the draft over black coffee before shipping off into the Vietnamese jungle. Proper old school diner atmosphere, mate. No gimmicks, no neon signs telling you to "live laugh love," just honest food and generations of stories trapped in the walls. My lovely date and I pulled up around noon on a Sunday and let me tell you something immediately, this place is absolutely humming. Packed to the brim but in the best possible way. Families, older couples, hungover folks, church crowds, all squeezed together chasing the same thing, a proper breakfast. Oddly comforting seeing that many people collectively agreeing, "Yes, this is exactly where we ought to be today." We grabbed seats at the bar top which honestly felt like the ideal viewing experience. Staff were brilliant. Attentive without hovering about every thirty seconds asking if everything's alright while you're mid bite. Coffee stayed full, plates arrived quickly, and the whole operation moved like a well rehearsed dance. Now then... The coffee. Sweet mercy. I swear on everything holy it may have been the best diner coffee I've ever had in my life. Downed two cups like a dehydrated man crawling through the Sahara. As for the food... Absolute scenes. The hashbrowns came out beautifully crisp on top while still soft underneath, exactly how the breakfast gods intended. Proper golden brown with that buttery diner flavour soaked into every bite. Eggs were fluffy, bacon had that perfect balance between crispy and chewy, and the ham looked like it had actually come from a real pig instead of a laboratory. My date's waffle looked like something straight off an American postcard. Thick, golden, slightly crisp on the edges, begging for syrup and butter. You could tell immediately this wasn't frozen chain restaurant rubbish thrown into a microwave by a teenager named Tyler. And that's the difference with Price's Chef. The food has soul. Real flavour. Real texture. Real effort. Not the sad instant eggs and processed nonsense places like IHOP try passing off at 9 in the morning after a night out. This is the sort of breakfast that hugs you back. 5/5 without hesitation. If you're in Corpus Christi, swing by. Just prepare yourself mentally for a slight queue because apparently half the city already knows what I've just discovered.

Great staff, great coffee, great food, great prices. Epic diner vibes! Always stop here for…read morebreakfast when we visit Corpus.
