Its patronized and ran by good people. As I recall, this place opened either right before or shortly after the beginning of the Pandemic. As I have remained acutely aware of what those events had on small businesses (I am a banker, and I am also a "foodie"), I had initial concerns that this place may not have pulled through like so many others had not. This place is local and we NEED local but the last 3 times we went it was awful. Although it is a full restaurant they don't have a kids menu. So if you order something for a 3 year old you pay 39 year old prices and they will NOT accommodate. I ordered toddler an omelette and asked them to just do one egg, less everything, etc. they refused and made a full 3 egg omelette...for a 3 year old. Next, my food was way undercooked so asked them to put back on for a bit and came back inedible. Now, went for the last time unfortunately. I ordered the chicken fried steak with smashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Potatoes were not smashed was the first clue. Waitress made a comment I couldn't hear so just thought whatever. Unfortunately they were not even close to done I couldn't cut them with my fork. Ugghhhh...it's just potatoes let me try the entree. I moved back to corpus back in January of 21. I've always loved the food. But the last 3 times I have been in there the food quality has been sub par, low quality. Maybe prices on food are going up and the gas to deliver them, but hold onto the quality charge me more. I mostly order the ahi tuna tacos, an appetizer, but the tuna was ehh and shells were stale. This the best place to eat in flour bluff when it's good. But I won't be going back for a while. It sucks to pay 14.00 for something that isn't as good as I know it can be. read more

We had Buffalo shrimp and duck wings as appetizers both were very good. $15 for 6 shrimp is a bit steep especially since we are at the coast but they were very good. For entrees we had: Buffalo chicken sandwich, chicken fried chicken with rice and asparagus, garlic Parmesan muscles, chicken pasta Alfredo, and the breakfast burger. Tonight I made a point to ask for both burgers medium rare, and they were so overcooked that they were hard and had no moisture in the patty. When we arrived, Ryan H waved his magic wand and made it happen! Ryan threw together a table large enough for our party and sat us immediately. This was a great surprise for my family and I! We frequently visit Corpus Christi to see my husband's family, and we always enjoy trying new places. This one was truly a surprise...with a very un-assuming storefront, this restaurant has an unexpected menu in store. We visited on 8/26. We were immediately greeted upon entry, and all social distancing precautions were clearly in place while still encouraging patrons' comfort. The place was about half-full, plus or minus the patrons sitting at the bar. We were seated and our waitress immediately greeted us for our drink order. They have soft drinks available, as well as a full-service bar with a great selection. For our appetizers we ordered the Disco Fries and the Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls. The Disco Fries come out very similar to poutine, with french fries covered in brown gravy, queso, onions, and bacon. RIDICULOUS good! The Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls could be a meal on their own...it's a small dish but very hearty, and the meat is very flavorful without being greasy or dry. My 16-year-old son had the Mojo Loco and practically inhaled it; I was very disappointed not to get a bite to try, but he swears it was great and is something he'll order again. The dish comes as seasoned rice with a hamburger patty, 2 fried eggs, and brown gravy. My 11-year-old son had the OG Burger, and the patty was very juicy and flavorful. He said he was surprised that the bun was so light, and his fries were crispy - not a soggy/soft one to be found in the bunch. My husband had the Wagyu Steak Sandwich with pickled onions, sun-dried tomatoes, feta aioli, and a balsamic reduction. The flavors all went together so well...definitely a well thought out recipe. Coupled with an order of the truffle parmesan fries, this was a very satisfying meal. I ordered the Steak Avocado salad with a champagne vinaigrette dressing. The greens were very fresh and crisp, along with the avocado, tomatoes, and cucumber. It was a very simple salad that lets the natural flavors of the ingredients shine through, and the vinaigrette doesn't overpower any of it. This was such a pleasant surprise to find in the Bluff. Me and my brother are big foodies and we were excited for a new restaurant to come to the bluff. The renovation of the restaurant was great, very spacious and inviting. We knew the last owners of the previous buisness in this building and it was a lot more closed off before so they really did a great job on the remodel. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was decent. My brother got the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was crispy and delicious. I got the first burger off the menu, it was mediocre at most. Tasted like any burger from anywhere. I was a little annoyed that you have to pay extra to sub for fries instead of potato chips. I saw that they had truffle fries and got excited so we both opted to pay the extra $3 each to upgrade to those. These were not truffle fries, these were basic fries tossed in a little bit of parsley and a few pieces of shredded Parmesan. I was disappointed but not nearly as disappointed as I was when I asked for a side of ranch. I was told that they do not have ranch, in fact that "the owner is 100% against ranch and will not ever serve ranch". A little ridiculous if you ask me. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who is addicted to dipping their fries in ranch. The waitress suggested their peppercorn dressing instead, while it wasn't terrible, I was still sad about not having ranch. It was a little pricey but expected as much. The place has plenty of potential and I would maybe give another dish another shot but I guess I'll have to bring my own ranch next time read more
