Used to love this place however when I went back about a couple months ago the food tasted off the waitresses were different so I am assuming that the management had changed I'm hoping perhaps it was just an off day but based on the recent reviews and looks like this place has gone downhill for sure read more

Ridge Thai - Bland crappy Satay... Really? The most basic of Thai dishes and they can't even get THAT right?? AVOID!!! - Thai Near Me - Ridgewood, New Jersey

The best Thai place I've ever been to, and I live in NYC so I feel like I'm surrounded by Thai restaurants. Their pad kra pow is SO good (basil sauce dish) and I love the dressing on the Thai salad - it's peanutty, but different than most other Thai peanut dressings in that it's a lot thinner. All their sauces are really 'delicate' and delicious and not too heavy (my number one complaint about some Thai places). I go here every time I'm in Ridgewood. read more

Our favorite and go to Thai place! We absolutely love the Thai Green Curry with Chicken and Chicken Gao Prao (I believe that's what it is called). Always consistent and always delicious!!! We've also had the Pad Thai and a few additional items off the menu and nothing has ever disappointed! read more

I have been here a few times. The food is excellent, but the spicy items are serious business. Be sure to let them know if you need them to dial back the spice. My favorite dishes to get here are the pad kee mao and pad grap prow, with beef as the protein. The service was good. My only issue was that some of us had to wait way longer for entrees than others. read more

I am a HUGE fan of Thai food and have eaten at many Thai restaurants. Ridge Thai is one of the best. From the fabulous appetizers like Thai spring rolls to the sweet and spicy curries like their Gang Kare or Pa Nang, this is a MUST visit destination for Thai lovers in North Jersey and beyond! Small BYOB storefront restaurant. Reservations are always suggested. They also do take out. Great service to boot. read more

Mediocre Thai food for an above average price. Those going for the staples of Satay, Pad Thai, and Pineapple Fried Rice, it's just okay here. The Chicken Satay is quite dry, and there is not a Beef Satay offering. The Pad Thai noodles are over cooked and too soft. Too much oil is also used where the oil will overflow your lips down your chin. The chopped nuts in the dish have not been toasted enough to bring out the flavor. It's priced here for $12.95. It's that expensive in Manhattan, and $8.95 at several establishments in Flushing. Both Burlington Vermont, Flushing New York and Manhattan establishments taste much better. Eating the Pineapple Fried Rice here $12.95, but the portions are the smallest of all Thai places I patron. The Red Snapper in the Pla Lad Prik (Hot and Spicy Chili Sauce) is $23.95. It is the 2nd worse I've ever had where 90% of the sauce flows off the fish. The fish does not taste very fresh either, and may have been frozen rather than fresh. (My worse was still raw and cold near the bones.) The service was okay, and food came out in a timely manner. For better quality and cheaper prices, go to Flushing. For the best Thai, go to Manhattan and it's at the same price in the Village. Best Thai place in Ridgewood, yes. Best in Bergen County, top three I've been to. Best in the Tri-State Region, not a chance. read more

Best thai I've ever had. I loved everything I've tried here (from thai drinks, to pad thai, masaman, etc.). Amazing place. Edit: I forgot to mention that the service here is pretty nice :) I've been coming to this place for years, and I still see some old faces. The restaurant is small and comfy, without any sacrifice to the quality of the food! read more

Decent Thai, although a little bland at times, particularly the soup. The curries and noodles were solid. I won't be ordering the mussels any time soon. One member of my party ordered them and half the shells were empty. read more

There are a lot of Asian Restaurants in Ridgewood, but this is my favorite. It is a small, cozy little place. BYOB The food is delicious! A must for Thai lovers! read more

I've never dined in at this place but I always get Pad Thai for pick up. I always order very very spicy because I already know how they make it. Today is different. I CAN'T EAT MY FOOD! I literally have to chug a whole gallon of milk! I always order very very spicy and it never came out like this! If there's no consistency in the recipe, how am I going to know what to order next time? I'm giving 2 stars just because the waitresses there never gave me a problem. read more

Ridge Thai - Thai Near Me - Ridgewood, New Jersey

This place has the good sense to stick to a traditional Thai takeout menu and not get too creative about it. I'm not damning them with faint praise, here--they make what you know, and they make it well. Thai has become American comfort food, I guess. My family got a bunch of stuff off the menu. Standouts were the green and yellow curries--they were ordered "mild" but still came nicely, lightly spiced. The pad thai was also swell. I'd give them a fifth star if they had khao soi on the menu. read more

Ridge Thai was a pleasant surprise. I was out to dinner with some friends and when our original plans fell through we decided to give this little restaurant a try. We didn't have a reservation or call ahead but were seated almost immediately on a busy Saturday night. Service was quick and pleasant enough. All of the food we ordered was good, and while the portions seem small when they first get to the table they are very filling. This restaurant is BYOB so I would definitely recommend picking up a bottle of wine on your way over. I also noticed a lot of people taking advantage of their take out service. If you're in the area and looking for something a little different I would recommend Ridge Thai. read more

Ridge Thai - Chicken pad Thai - Thai Near Me - Ridgewood, New Jersey

Pretty standard fair for a Thai restaurant, didn't really stand out but good was still tasty. The service was good and the food came out fast. Their spicy level was a little low compared to other Thai restaurants. Reasonably priced, would go again if craving Thai and in the area but would drive here specifically for this place. read more

Authentic Thai restaurant with fresh, flavorful food and lots of vegetarian options. There's nothing really remarkable about this place, but it seems pretty reliable if you have a craving for Thai food. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food arrived to our table very quickly. You can BYO or enjoy a Thai iced tea. On a Saturday night, many of the tables were taken, but we were seated immediately - the restaurant is neither too crowded nor too noisy. I would definitely return. read more

I love this place. Best Thai food around!! BYOB is biggy for me. Love their curries!! Gang musaman and Panag ped(duck in creamy curry sauce) are my favorite. I'm giving 4 starts cause service can be annoying sometimes. read more

Solid place for lunch. $10-11 for any of their noodle meal, tip and tax included! Food comes right away, making me wonder how fresh the meals come. But hey, power hour lunch time! And occasionally, noodles come out soggy, which to my despair. But they do the job as a local Thai place to go for me. Note: BYOB. Liquor stores nearby. read more

Very good Thai place. Pad Thai is great for first timers. Curry casserole was awesome. Just the right amount if heat with fresh Thai basil. The Thai Iced tea was very heavy, more like an iced late... read more

I love this restaurant. I tried some other Thai restaurants that Thais recommend in nearby Hackensack, but I find their quality is just not as good. I've been coming here for over two years and I always enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Go to this restaurant, you can't go wrong read more

I went here last night because a friend from out of town wanted Thai food. I usually don't frequent Thai restaurants because I am Thai, so I'm very picky about where I go. My first visit to this restaurant was already negative- I came on a busy night and the wait staff didn't even acknowledge my existence at the door. So, I never came back until last night. This time, the restaurant was relatively empty so we were actually acknowledged and got a table. I agree with what the other reviewers were saying about the wait staff. They're not the nicest. As well, they are loud and chatty with each other. It's distracting to be eating in a restaurant where the wait staff are conversing louder than the patrons. It was especially distracting for me because I could understand everything they were saying. I just wanted to turn around and shush them. But, that would have been rude. As for the food, we ordered the fried whole snapper with garlic pepper and the red ocean fried rice. Both were pretty good, so I can't complain too much about the food. It seemed fresh and the flavors were good. I was surprised, though, at the amount of corn starch used to thicken the sauce for the fish. I don't think that was necessary. On a side note, I asked the server for fish sauce with sliced peppers ( a traditional condiment for the fried rice) and he said, "No fish sauce." I looked at him and said, "You don't use fish sauce?" (In a Thai restaurant?!) Which he then clarified, "Fish sauce only for kitchen." Okay. I get it...but I have to question the authenticity of a Thai restaurant that won't serve traditional Thai condiments to its patrons when requested. I don't think I'll be back to this restaurant again, mostly because of the service. But, if you don't care about that and just need a Thai food fix, then I think it's worth a visit. As for me, I'll stick to home cooked Thai food. read more

Ridge Thai is a very small restaurant. They do not squash you in with too many tables. That being said, on a weekend it is hard to get a table. The mango salad was more mango than salad. But all other dishes we ordered was fresh, not to spicy as asked and had lots of vegetables. Very nice waitress. Food came out timely. Not rushed. Would go back. read more

We got to the restaurant late but they let us sit down and have dinner anyway. So I have to give them kudos for that. We brought a bottle of wine, it's a BYOB, like most of Ridgewood. We visited right after the Xmas tree lighting ceremony, so it was hoping at 9:45pm. They close at 10:30 so we ordered quickly and we drank quickly too. We shared the Chicken Satay and the peanut sauce was excellent and my friend loved the cucumber salad/sauce that also came with it. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai. I asked for spicy and i got spicy. She had the Goong Red Prik, which is shrimp topped with hot and spicy chili sauce. The sauce was not that spicy. I had a taste and she said she loved the dish. It made for a memorable night, so i have to give it four stars. The food was excellent. The service was very good but we did arrive late and they rushed us a bit, but i don't blame them. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants great Thai and a good evening. read more

Great Thai food in Bergen County. Location: The restaurant is a bit small. If you plan on dining here on a Saturday night, make reservations ahead of time. For some reason, they are closed on Sunday. Food: The food is very tasteful. My favorite pad thai in Bergen County. The portion size of all their plates is very generous. I usually get the gang musaman curry with chicken, pla lad prik tilapia, tom yum goong soup, and thai bamboo shrimp. Overall: One of my favorite restaurants in Ridgewood. Definitely give this place a try. read more

I've had the beef Pad-See-Ew twice here, and it's been pretty good. The first time there was a spot in the dish that was overly peppered, but it wasn't an issue and the second time was slightly bland. But the beef was cooked well, and so were the noodles. The flavor wasn't super strong, but it was enjoyable. Their Thai Ice-tea is very sweet, but good to split between two people. Their appetizers that I've had have all been very good, albeit the portions are a bit small. The entree portions are just right. I would definitely try other things from this place as the other dishes also looked really good, too. read more

I almost always get my Thai food here. I've been to NYC and many other places for Thai food, but I keep coming back to Ridge Thai. The Masamon - Very good, but is a bit skimpy with chicken. The Pad Thai - The best I've ever had. EVER. Pad Graw pow? - Good, not great. The basil is a big plus for this dish though. Overall, this is the probably the best Thai restaurant in NJ. read more

More 3.5 than 4.. Not bad but could be better.. Big fan of Thai food spent to much time on the west coast and have high expectations. Will return and hopefully they can encourage me to give a higher rating. read more

I've eaten here a few times recently and the food is very good. I give it extra points because they are willing to make their sauces without sugar which also means they make them fresh. (I have asked for this at several other Thai places and they usually tell me it's already made and they can't do anything to help me with my special diet). I've had the red curry with chicken and also their fried rice. That said, the decor could use a little help. The floor reminds me of the old McDonald's floors. read more

WOW! the service is rude and depressed. Well they bring you your food quickly but they roll their eyes and act like you are bothering them if ask for anything. They got my order wrong, then tried to charge me for it. Then laughed at me. Other customers noticed it also. That being said the food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Go there for lunch. read more

I eat here very often but only ever thru take out, so my rating won't account for service. Though the woman who answers the phone was very rude to me once and condescending, I will consider it an isolated incident as its never happened again. I've eaten at many Thai restaurants on the east coast but this is hands down the best I've had. You must try the green curry here and the gra prow fried rice. Though in general NY has some of the best restaurants, their thai restaurants pale in comparison to this one. The food is truly excellent. read more

Not even 1/2 a star for this dump. Save yourself the aggravation and skip it! We walked into this dump and a lady proceeds to point to a table for 4 and says she'll clean it for us. My kids and I sit while my wife heads to the restroom. And this is where it all goes wrong. Another lady charges at us with this aggressive, odd look on her face. She starts muttering under her breath that the other lady shouldn't have sat us down, saying something about a reservation. I asked if there was a problem I would leave, and she just kept saying "it's ok, it's ok" while passive aggressively setting up the table and muttering about the other lady. "She should've asked me," she kept saying. Now, how is that my problem? I'm simply looking for a place to eat after a long day at work. I asked her if I should leave and after a few times of saying "no" she finally says "if you want to go..." So we left. We are Ridgewood residents and believe in supporting local businesses. However, there are way too many restaurants here and in Manhattan, where we work, so we have very little tolerance for this nonsense. In fact, we recommend another Thai place, Malee, near the train station that's much better, with more courteous service. Do yourself a favor and skip it. You'll thank me. Good riddance. read more
