Great drinks, great atmosphere, great people!…read more TL;DR: helpful and welcoming staff; high class atmosphere; delicious, impressive, and fairly priced drinks. I called to make a reservation for a large party, which wound up dwindling to a small one, and Josh was great helping me with this. When I had to leave a voicemail he made sure to get a hold of me to confirm my reservation. When we arrived, we were impressed by the decor and seating options. Since our party was now small and we arrived in early afternoon, we were able to choose between a high top and comfy chairs. We opted for the big chairs, and had our own small table with mixed nuts, fresh water, and a candle. The service was great, attending but not overbearing. We never felt rushed, and very much enjoyed the Savory Riff and Espresso Martini. We were offered a taste of whiskey, gin, or vodka. After tasting the whiskey I enjoyed how smooth and flavorful it was, and knew I had to get a whiskey cocktail. The drinks were fairly priced, and the establishment was kept extremely clean and organized. Can't wait to come back!

We came into town on a train beer crawl with two other couples and thought this would be a nice break from the brew. It was a bit after lunch and the place was not crowded. I got a Pennsylvania sour, a rye drink. Served with three layers of liquor with different specific gravities. So the drink was layered. I enjoyed it a very unique flavor as I drank through the glass. The place is right off the street and narrow but with couches and high top tables and booths. There are also a couple of seats at the small bar. The drinks were priced just right and a good value for the fancy nature. Recommend a stop in. Mark & Nancy.

And it's a little hard to see because of the dim lighting. It can get pretty loud and there's not much sound dampening, making it hard to hear each other sometimes. However, if you're just vibing and chilling, it's perfect. Though the brewery doesn't sell food, you can pick up something to eat right next door at the market. It's also where the bathrooms are located. Solid draught beers -- I'd recommend them over the cocktails. Enjoy!

Great local brewery tucked inside the new Ridge Hall Market…read more Twisted Ginger Brewery is a hidden gem right off Butler Pike in Ambler, sharing a building with the new Ridge Hall Farmers Market. Parking can be tight on the street, but there are municipal lots nearby that make things easy. They usually have around ten beers on tap, a solid mix of styles that changes often enough to keep things interesting. There are a few TVs, and during slower weekday hours they keep things cozy by only opening the bar area. On weekends, when the place fills up, they expand seating into the section by their brewing area. If you're just grabbing beer to go, they sell four-packs of their own brews. For food, you can either take your beer into the market's food court or bring your meal back into the brewery. Both setups work fine depending on what kind of night you're after. If you are not a beer person, fortunately there are Stateside seltzers, and Surfside hard iced teas available. A relaxed local spot with good beer, friendly people, and a nice addition to Ambler's growing brewery scene.

But when we finally had the opportunity to get a reservation at Mary, I felt compelled to write one. It didn't just "not disappoint", it exceeded every expectation we hoped to have. We sat at the bar, which gave a cool bar vibe with our own bottle of wine (which you don't always get at BYOs), and we had a clear view into the open kitchen. Plus, the service was perfectly on point throughout the entire meal. We started with the ceviche, which was a very generous portion for us to share, and absolutely delicious. I was planning to order the burger, but when the waitress told us it was always on the menu, I opted for the blackened swordfish... and, boy, was I glad I did. My husband got the pork chop; I snagged a bite and it was amazing, too. Both entrees were also very generous portions, and my leftovers were just as good the next day (maybe even a little better once the flavors blended together). We finished with a brownie dessert, and when we finally got the check, we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable it was. Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time, and I can't wait to go back and get that burger!!
