Sooooooo cozy and the food was pure stuff of comforts. Seriously, get the Gypsy spuds as a side for your main. Classic tavern-style dinner! My lamb burger was cooked just as I asked-- rare-medium, and so, so juicy. Our drinks were also delicious and plenty strong. I had a Tea Time (bourbon cocktail on the rocks with earl grey, plum bitters, and an orange peel) and have nothing but good stuff to say about it. We loved our server who bantered with us and was very friendly and attentive. If you're in town a while, don't miss the chalkboard pillars by the bar! It's updated with events. Overall, a super fun night out with friends.

    Ahi tuna

I met friends for lunch, but ended up taking my Ahi Tuna Nicoise Salad home, because I wasn't really hungry at the time. Planned to eat it for dinner, but what a disappointment! The tuna was utterly inedible! Silver fish throughout. I couldn't get even a bite out of it. Don't know how they could serve it.

I came here for a burger, but it was a little disappointed. Do not come here for food. Come here for drinks and to be friendly. It needs a little pick me up. A little down on the dumps. This place the burger was asked medium. It came back well done. my son said don't go to a place like this for food. He was right. He said nobody else has food on their table. He was right. He said dad you always pick the wrong place. He was right.

My friend has been telling me to check this place out for awhile and I went the other day on a weekend, for brunch. The brunch menu has a few great options and they also have $20 unlimited mimosas. I ordered the chicken and waffles but there were a few other great contenders. The waffles were sooo amazing, the chicken was a little too crispy- too much oil and it would be better if there was more. Overall the flavors were good. I'll have to come back and try their dinner and drinks later. I also loved the interior, the bar was beautiful and the rest of the restaurant was decorated really well.

    Amazing French onion soup

We went to Gypsy Blu in Ambler after googling "best restaurant in Ambler" and this popped up first. Well it over - delivered. The food and drinks were superb. We began with a flatbread with carmelized onions, fig jam, balsamic, feta cheese, arugula. Amazing. In parallel, I had the Rum Me Over drink and my husband had the Spice on Ice Old Fashioned. Both superb. We had a late lunch so dinner was only French Onion Soup and one of the best I have found. My husband had the Mushroom Risotto. Our server Ryan was perfect. Right level of help, there when we needed him, thorough, efficient and knowledgeable. Add to that humble and fun. A catch for the ladies too. We also had the manager Chris make sure we were doing fine. It's always a nice touch that an extremely busy manager spends a few minutes to make sure your night is great. We highly recommend Gypsy Blu in Ambler. We look forward to going again. Also, they have quite an event space and speakeasy we would love to use sometime as well. Don't miss asking about it if you need a space.

Parking can be tight on the street, but there are municipal lots nearby that make things easy. They usually have around ten beers on tap, a solid mix of styles that changes often enough to keep things interesting. There are a few TVs, and during slower weekday hours they keep things cozy by only opening the bar area. On weekends, when the place fills up, they expand seating into the section by their brewing area. If you're just grabbing beer to go, they sell four-packs of their own brews. For food, you can either take your beer into the market's food court or bring your meal back into the brewery. Both setups work fine depending on what kind of night you're after. If you are not a beer person, fortunately there are Stateside seltzers, and Surfside hard iced teas available. A relaxed local spot with good beer, friendly people, and a nice addition to Ambler's growing brewery scene.

But when we finally had the opportunity to get a reservation at Mary, I felt compelled to write one. It didn't just "not disappoint", it exceeded every expectation we hoped to have. We sat at the bar, which gave a cool bar vibe with our own bottle of wine (which you don't always get at BYOs), and we had a clear view into the open kitchen. Plus, the service was perfectly on point throughout the entire meal. We started with the ceviche, which was a very generous portion for us to share, and absolutely delicious. I was planning to order the burger, but when the waitress told us it was always on the menu, I opted for the blackened swordfish... and, boy, was I glad I did. My husband got the pork chop; I snagged a bite and it was amazing, too. Both entrees were also very generous portions, and my leftovers were just as good the next day (maybe even a little better once the flavors blended together). We finished with a brownie dessert, and when we finally got the check, we were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable it was. Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time, and I can't wait to go back and get that burger!!

We were seated and our server, Joanne gave us a quick rundown on the menu. She was very attentive and personable. Our party of four ordered the pork sandwich, the shrimp BLT, deviled eggs, the pepperoni flat bread, the meatball skillet, shrimp cocktail and French onion soup. The sandwiches were excellent and were served with perfectly cooked shoestring fries. The soup was great - plenty of cheese & bread topping delicious broth & caramelized onions. Joanne was correct when she told us the shrimp cocktail was "elevated". The grilled shrimp were marinated and perfectly seasoned. The flatbread was good, topped with a drizzle of hot honey. The deviled eggs were yummy but I would rather the bacon on top didn't have a maple flavor to it. The meatball skillet was served with toasted bread slices, hearty marinara and dollops of ricotta. The meatballs were a little dry but we enjoyed it anyway. We will definitely plan on coming back to The Fort to try new items and for another pork sandwich. Great spot!
