As we try to do while traveling through our big beautiful country, we looked to enjoy the town's kosher options. A little research led us to Ricki's Cookies. There was an enormous selection of fresh and refrigerated desserts, parve pleasures to please any and all palates. In addition to the delicious treats, we enjoyed delightful conversation with Rickie and her employee.

Ricki's's treats are AMAZING!! I lived in Memphis for nine years and truly miss being able to purchase Ricki's treats at Kroger. For my birthday my friend ordered me a blueberry cake and a cookie sampler. The blueberry cake was moist and delicious. It is the texture of a coffee cake or muffin. Sweet, but not too sweet. Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a dessert! The cookies were also very good and still fresh after shipping. I am partial to the chipsticks, but I also loved the sugar cookie. I would highly recommend sending a Ricki's gift to yourself or a friend. It you are in Memphis it is worth a trip to her little shop, but if the shop is closed most of the area Kroger store have a good selection!

I was first introduced to Ricki's in 2003. A vendor brought cookies to our office for Christmas. Even before I moved back to Memphsi whenever I was I town I would stop by. I'm not big on sweets and cookies but these chocolate Chipsticks are amazing! I prefer them cold (she usually only has frozen ones late in the day). The owner is very friendly.

Oh emmmmm geeee!! You need to stop whatever you are doing RIGHT NOW and head on over to Ricki's Cookie Corner. They have been around forever (founded in 1980 out of Ricki's Kitchen), but I've only recently discovered this local gem and I'm absolutely kicking myself. They have sold almost 9 million of their famous Chipstick cookies! Which makes sense, because they ship all over the country! This is a woman owned, multi-generational family business, which makes my heart sing because I'm allllll about supporting our local mom and pop shops! While the bakery was founded making cookies and challah bread, they now make brownies, cakes, pies, cinamon rolls, and sooooo much more! Oh! And all of their products are made non-dairy, which is great for kosher-keeping or anyone with lactose dietary restrictions.

They are a little hidden in the Eastgate Shopping Center. You can't see them off poplar, but they are between the two buildings. (Wish I remembered what two stores, I will update it soon!) The store itself isn't too big. They do all the baking there so that takes up most the space! This is a family owned and operated business and that really speaks volumes about the product as a whole. Each member of the family that works here is so kind and personable. They really take a lot of pride in what they do, and it shows in every aspect of this place! As for the cookies. You guys. Best chocolate chip cookies EVER. They are cooked to absolute perfection. They are just the right amount of gooey in the middle! Seriously, I have never had a cookie that nailed that aspect of a cookie every single time. Every. Single. Time. She also makes some cookies without the chocolate chips. It tastes just like the batter. Sugary and wonderful! Her bread is also divine. DIVINE. I honestly don't know how she stays so stinking little! She sells her bread to a few Krogers around town, but hopefully more will start bringing her in! Long story short. Go there. You will not be disappointed! In fact, you will probably get hooked like I did :)!

The atmosphere and decor of this coffee shop are both inviting and antique bringing feelings of the historic times and souls once living in the area. The "team"working here were both professional, kind and friendly. When eating in your entree is hand delivered with a smile in a timely manner. I even got a brief visit from the supervisor/possible owner asking if I needed anything and how everything was going. When I replied with a positive experience he said he will pass on the word to the team. I liked that he gave credit to everyone/team. I will definitely return when in town for business and recommend to my colleagues.

The aesthetic is really well done. It's warm, modern, and just a place you actually want to hang out in for a while. The staff were great and super helpful, especially when it came to working around a few syrups they were out of. They offered substitutions without any fuss, and it honestly worked out for the better. All of their syrups are made in-house, and you can really taste the difference! They're fresh and not overly sweet or artificial. We ordered a Bourbon Mocha and a Carrot Cake Latte (which was absolutely to die for), and decided to keep breakfast on the lighter side with a slice of sourdough and two cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls, though, are not your typical style. Instead of the usual big, fluffy roll, they spiral the dough tightly and bake it that way. The result is this super fun, peel-apart situation where you're unraveling layer after layer. It feels like there are eight layers of cinnamon-sugar goodness to work through! Overall, Hustle & Dough has great coffee, thoughtful house-made syrups, unique pastries, and a really welcoming vibe. Definitely a spot I'd go back to next time I'm in Memphis.

When I walked in I was enveloped by the beautiful aroma of fresh baked bread, that smell has a hold on me and I can't resist. I was greeted and my questions answered about their offerings and I somehow settled on a few items to try. I got the blueberry muffin, the chocolate chip cookie croissant, molasses cookie and the triple chocolate chip cookie. Let me just say, I'm in love! Everything was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was buttery with a hint of salt. The molasses cookie had bits of ginger throughout. That chocolate chip croissant creation was in fact gooey on the inside.
