Nice, peaceful ambiance on a snowy day. The duck master pale ale was delicious! If I'm ever in Memphis again, I'll be right back here to relax.

1st round. The seasonal gin cocktail and an old fashioned

Immediately when you walk in you get that old money cozy hotel feeling, like you could sit here all night listening to the piano playing and watch all the people enjoying their lives. The lobby bar has an enormous amount of seating without feeling overwhelming. We immediately were able to get seats at the bar to peruse the cocktail menu and Amanda greeted us quickly. Our first round we had an old fashioned and the summer gin cocktail (seasonal) and added the duck floaties bc why not? The piano music and the whole atmosphere was honestly wonderful. We decided to stay for a second drink and watch all the people come and go for a little longer. My bf switched to a Manhattan for his second round and enjoyed that one a little more. If you want a good cocktail specifically a good martini this is definitely the place for you. Not too far off Beale but feels worlds away.

We enjoyed drinks in the Lobby Bar At The Peabody to kill some time before the duck march ceremony. The drinks came with a cute rubber duck in them, which was fun. We shared a lounge table with another couple as it was very busy right before 'duck time'. The waitress was a little stretched between tables. As for the Duck March... 'An overrated tourist trap' is how I would describe the Peabody Ducks experience! Still, it's a unique 'Memphis' experience and something us tourists must do! By the time we were finished with our drinks, we made our way to the balcony overlooking the lobby, where we squished in between other onlookers for an average view. After some pomp and circumstance favoring the small children seated near the elevator and fountain, the ducks marched out of the fountain and into the elevator, on their way up to their 'house' on the roof of the hotel. Afterwards, we made our way to the roof to see where the ducks live and for views over Memphis. All the elevators were pretty clogged after the ceremony, so it took us some time to get up there, at which point we only had a few minutes on the roof as it was going to be closing. The views are worth going up there. On retrospect, I wish we'd gone to the morning ceremony where the ducks march INTO the fountain and the light on the roof was better. If you're tight on time in Memphis, you could skip the duck march experience. We did however, enjoy our drinks at the lobby bar and generally wandering the hotel and gift shops. Helpful?

Amazing atmosphere with excellent service. Both bartenders were very knowledgeable and worked together to make sure we were taken care of. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous! I had the old fashioned and it was very good, my wife had the Lucille. Both were excellent. Great place to unwind and grab a drink!

A place to see ducks, and a place to be scene in the evening. Classic cocktails, and a LOT of Jack Daniel's. Energetic noise level.

The Peabody lobby bar is an easy, drop-in location with a relaxed vibe. My husband and I stopped in several times across the past few weeks, and each drink we had was solid. Above and beyond the drinks and the comfortable atmosphere, the service has been reliably attentive. Avoid the late afternoon duck march if you don't like crowds.

Peach Sour made with Jack Daniels. Delicious. I might have had one or three of these.

This is an absolutely charming spot to kick back and enjoy a drink or a snack. As the name suggests, it's smack in the middle of the hotel lobby which is gorgeous. There is an actual bar with a counter but you can sit at any of the many tables spread throughout the lobby. It's really more of a lounge than a bar and it's completely family friendly. Speaking of families, if you're interested in seeing the march of the Peabody ducks, you should grab a table about an hour before their forced marches (11:00 a.m. and 5 p.m.). The lobby will be filled with children during those times so grab a table on advance, if you can. They offer a few desserts here but primarily cocktails and they are well-made but pricey. You also get a complimentary snack tray with almonds and wasabi peas. Jack Daniels is featured prominently on the drink menu and they even offer a Jack Daniels flight (which I recommend). Don't forget to explore the gift shops and second floor of the hotel while you're there. It's a historic spot and very interesting. You can also go on the roof and check out the ducks' home. We came to the bar twice and our servers were excellent on both occasions. Highly recommended.

Nice place for a late night dessert. We shared the pecan pie. Nice presentation but pie was just okay. Beautiful setting.

What a beautiful place. I sat at the bar and made friends immediately! Ha! I had to get my little rubber ducky, so I had the signature drink. Wry good. I ordered two desserts. Key lime pie and chocolate Bomb. Key lime was ok. More whipped cream than filling. The chocolate bomb was fantastic. It had layers of cake crunch and chocolate. Will have that agin for sure.

This is the best little spot in Memphis to grab a fancy drink! In the lobby bar you can watch the ducks splash in the fountain while enjoying a nice drink and a snack. Most drinks are in the $8-15 range but they do offer more expensive full bottles of wine, champagne, and top shelf liquors. Patrons can sit at the bar or a table with a server. They do offer non-alcoholic drinks as well and kids are welcome to sit in the lobby bar with adults. They offer non-alcoholic mocktails, coffee/tea service, juice, and soft drinks.

The Lobby Bar at the Peabody offers ambiance that cannot be beat, but that's about the extent of it. I should add my visit was in March 2021, as we're still battling the pandemic. It seems like service is more unimpressive than ever, but it could be a result of being understaffed, overworked or just dealing with unappreciative costumers. I understand how taxing it can be. Last night we order drinks in the evening after waiting for (perhaps) 30 minutes. Our waitress did come by (someone else took our drink order and delivered them) to apologize for the wait. We were patient despite people sitting down long after us and being taken care of by other staff members. I appreciated the acknowledgment. The drinks (an adult hot chocolate and mint julep) were delicious. Today I decided to have a soda and hummus after checking out of my room. The waitress came by after about twenty minutes and brought me my soda after another twenty minutes, followed shortly by lack-luster hummus with no utensils. The pita bread was stale like it had been left out overnight. The waitress wasn't friendly, and I never saw her again, so I left my money on the table after waiting quite a while. Again: I suspect the pandemic has created a strain in hospitality as a whole (combined with my sheer bad luck?). Will I come here again? Of course I will! It's the Peabody lobby for Pete's sake. Hopefully I can update my review with a better experience once this dreaded pandemic is behind us.

The little ducky is a happy fella swimming in the perfect Old Fashioned made with Jack Daniels Peabody Select.

I have had a lot of Old Fashioneds. Lots. We scored two seats at the bar in the lobby of the Peabody right after the 5:00 duck march. I regret not recalling our bartenders name, but he was fantastic (management if you are reading this he was serving at 5:00 on Friday June 24th). I ordered and Old Fashioned and he asked what whiskey I would like, I asked what he suggested, "Jack Daniels Peabody Select, it is a single barrel." I took his selection. He proceeded to make my wife and I the perfect Old Fashioned, muddled cherries and oranges to release all the flavors, but not turn them into mush, a double shot pour of the Peabody Select and a splash of soda. Once served your drink, you look around and you are in an beautiful, iconic hotel that takes you back in time. A great place to have a cocktail, and what a great cocktail it is.

We came to the famous Peabody to watch the duck parade! We were so glad the duck parade has returned to visitors/non hotel guests! We had a blast sipping yellow cocktails (mocktails as well), watching the duck parade & taking in the beauty of the hotel! The nuts on your table are a nice little snack to munch on while watching the duck parade! We also got to visit with the duck captain who stopped by our table to chat! Our server was great! The drinks may seem pricey but you get a cute mini duck as a souvenir if you order the signature cocktail & the drinks are large. We had such a lovely time relaxing at the lobby bar at this beautiful hotel!

I ordered the shrimp tossed in chili teriyaki sauce, as listed on the menu. The shrimp were fried extremely hard and arrived cold. Instead of being properly tossed in sauce, there was only a minimal drizzle on a few pieces, which made the dish feel incomplete and not as described. The catfish nuggets and fries were just okay--again, both arrived cold, which seems to be a consistent issue with food temperature. The bar experience was also disappointing. The green tea shots were not made correctly, and the "double" shot of Jack Daniels was poured more like a single. In addition, the menu did not include any drink options or pricing. While the waiter mentioned they have a full bar, having a drink menu (even a basic one) would make ordering much easier and more enjoyable, especially for guests looking to try something new. Service-wise, the waiter was clearly overwhelmed and not very available, but when she did come to the table, she was very kind and pleasant. No complaints about her attitude--just a staffing or management issue. Overall, there's definitely potential here, but improvements are needed in food temperature, menu accuracy, and bar consistency to elevate the experience.
