Half of our party was there waiting, everyone get seated once everyone arrives. Once you sit, they come back with the mimosas, then they start with the starters, entree, meats and sides! I went on for Saturday and Sunday brunch as well as on a Saturday night, and all 3 times I have had an exceptional experience. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. After about 5 mimosas and more people arriving for our party and also ordering, we drank, turned up to the music and waited...and waited....and waited....and waited!!! Literally 10 mimosas and 3 hours later, WE STILL HAD NOT ATE!! Our seating had "expired" (you get 2-3 hours) but we had not eaten! A party of 12 and only about 4 pancakes and 3 waffles had come to our table! After around the 5 hour mark and the mimosas running out, ppl started leaving without getting food. The server was cool, I think they did their best, but there is NO WAY EVER I would want to go here again for Sunday Brunch! They need probably 2-3 more SOLID kitchen staff because 5 hours waiting for food while full of drinks is crazy! A friend of min who was in town wanted to hang out before leaving. Since this is a fairly new spot in town, we decided to go here for Happy Hour. Now, I don't want you to be blindsided by the fact that their Specials change each hour. At 5pm you get $1 drinks, 6pm you get $2 drinks, then at 7pm drinks are $3. They also have specific prices for food and a hookah. I had the Lobster and Buffalo Chicken Flat Bread. They both were delicious. My favorite was the Buffalo Chicken. The bread was really crisp, the meat was seasoned well and the other ingredients complemented the chicken and sauce well. The Lobster Flatbread was ok, but the bread was a bit soggy. The overall taste was good. I had the "Hennyrita" for my drink. It was ok. A little too watered down for the price. Thank god it was half off. However, I did Presecco. Overall, it is a nice place. The patio is cool. They only have two single stall restrooms, which is not feasible for the size crowd that they anticipate. WKND Hang Suite is a lounge that plays hip hop and caters to a party crowd. I arrived on a Saturday night around 1030. There was a cover charge, and limited seating if you don't buy a table. The lounge also has hookah and a side room for private groups or just more table seating. The music was hit or miss before midnight which is to be expected while the crowd fills up. The lounge is well decorated and definitely one of the few nicer lounges in Memphis. It does get crowded so try and get there early! read more

I booked a "suite" for my sister's birthday on November 30th. We were traveling from Dallas, TX. From what I saw online, this looked like a pretty cool lounge spot. We had reservations at 9pm on 11/30. We waited at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes before we were seated. According to the website and what I saw with my own eyes, a "suite" was just a skinny bar table with 4 stools. It appeared that the hostess had our "suite" set up with only 3 stools, and there were 4 of us in our party. So we waited as she asked other people in "suites" if they needed their unoccupied stools. Eventually, she seated us, and one of the stools was so much taller than the other 3, one of us was sitting higher than the rest. It was kind of awkward, but we looked passed it. We sat for about 15 minutes before anyone came to greet us. Once our waitress showed up, we ordered an app, drinks and a hookah. It took another 20 minutes to receive our order. The potato skins were average, and my "Drop the Lemon Martini" (or as the waitress simply put it, "the lemon drop?") was good, but not $13 good. The atmosphere was nice, music was just okay, but that's because the DJ was eating wings in his booth. I assumed he didn't get started until after 10pm, which I understood. I was about to order another round of drinks, but our waitress was on the other side of the lounge using her cell phone. Not really a big deal, until I realized she had been sitting there with another waitress sitting on her lap for about 15 minutes. By the time she came back to our table to see if we needed anything, I was ready to leave. She brought us our check, with the 20% gratuity added. Sadly, that's the only reason she even received gratuity, because 20% was not deserved. I guess that's why the service is below average, they're getting paid regardless. She never really even introduced herself, so luckily I don't have her name. But she was a pretty young lady, two-toned hair (Dark roots, blonde ends) in a ponytail. The Memphis location has better lighting and a better menu, which I think they are adding to the Nashville location as well. Came in at about 11pm. Paid the standard cover charge. We found seats outside because the inside was full. We asked several bartenders about the hookah and got the run around. We asked some other waiters about the hookahs and got an excuse as to why we couldn't get one (there were no available ones and then the stone wasn't working). We waited and waited for a server to come outside to update us and they would only poke their heads in the door and leave or talk to the guys at the bar. I never had the experience at the WKND in Nashville and I am saddened about the poor service we received. If I could give zero stars I would. We all end up paying our entry fee. We was only inside no more than two hours only to come out to a busted window.(all the cars parked on the side of this building were broken into). The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of service and here is why... Service: we are Canadians visiting Memphis and were excited to check out this spot. Bouncer outside was so nice and we were off to a good start. They charge $10 for cover after 10pm but we got there before. Then we enter and it was the most snobby environment. There was a table but NO high chairs...literally none of the staff is helpful with the exception of ONE bartender and I wish I had her name. Servers are too busy serving the booth guests, twerking or texting...literally. Not sure if that's a Memphis style of service but so ridiculous, considering they apply 20% GRATUITY ON EVERYTHING. At least give me 3 star service if you're going to do that.... none of the girls served us although we asked three of them if we could order. We had to go to the bar to order hookah and a pitcher of Rum Punch (bartender was nice and brought it to us). After our 60 min shisha was over, we had to HUNT and basically beg for them to reorder it...then they bring us a BROKEN HOOKAH. Again, there are waitresses loitering and socializing with regulars but NOT WILLING to help customers. The pipe was damaged and so was the vent which they hid with foil. They also don't give tongs to move the coal...they might need some education on how it works to smoke hookah and why their method is probably not the best (though they're racking in money off of it) Drinks: Rum Punch was really good and worth it if you're sharing with people! The management lacks professionalism. I booked two suites on their website for a Saturday night only to arrive to be told that basically my reservation was bumped by someone who paid. The problem for me was that the website did not ask for a reservation fee when I booked. I received a confirmation which seemed to be irrelevant to management. My issue is that if prompted I would have paid a reservation fee. They were not accommodating. I literally had to seek management out for an attempt at an explanation. I am a professional and honoring commitments and technically a contract is a must to maintain a positive reputation. THIS PLACE NOT SO MUCH!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT. It is so sad that you can't support black businesses. I will admit I had an amazing time when I made my first visit on Feb. 22. It was so amazing that I spent $511 at someone else's table and I made reservations on Feb. 27 for May 3rd (my bday is May 2) not knowing my credit card would immediately be charged. I thought just like many clubs you pay once you get there or on the date of your actual reservation's date. I picked a $689 package and reserved the premium room that requires you to spend $100 per hour. If you've partied with me especially for my bday you know it's nothing for me to drop $1k especially with good libations and music. Nevertheless, the next morning when I realized what I thought was a simple authorization was an actual $789.06 charge, I canceled because I was not going to pay interest on a party two months in advance when I can use the money for immediate usage. I actually had a full Memphis in May theme and planned to get another table on May 5th to pregame before the Music Fest Finale. So, expecting a full refund due to the cancelation message not mentioning anything about no refunds I only called twice to check on the processing of my refund and I wanted clarification on the $100 additional charge. I was under the impression that there was no deposit because the person whom made the reservations for my initial visit said they were only required to use their credit card to hold the reservations and of course we met the required spending amount so they weren't charged anything. Even when the manager walked me through how to make reservations on my phone on the night of 2/22 she said my card just held the room and my party of 20 was expected to spend $100 per hour. Needless to say, when I called today, I was told the package was prepaid and the deposit was nonrefundable. I was told I would not be refunded any monies and my reservation was not offered to be reinstated. THIS IS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS and will not ever receive mine again. Too bad, because this was going to be my hang out spot. If you have a venue with better service let me know, because I still plan to celebrate my first birthday back in Memphis celebrating Memphis at the World Famous Memphis In May Music Festival. read more
