I used to come here often when I was having to go to the chiropractor regularly so it's a treat now when I get to drop in and get something. They've moved things around so it looks different but I'm not sure if that's because of covid or not. They also sell some additional cute little things now too, though I forgot to take a picture. The cupcakes themselves are moist and delicious. The icing is also fantastic. Interestingly enough, the Caramel Crunch cupcake tastes better after being in the fridge overnight. Before, it's ok. After, it's amazing and the icing changes consistency. I tried this with the Chai Tea Latte but it just didn't work and I still didn't like it. The margarita was just ok. I've visited this location since it was new. However after I switched to working from home, I no longer am as close. The inside looks a lot different than in the past, but the service was just as good. I recommend it. read more

What can I say....Tara Parker and Smallcakes always knock it out of the park. I tried a gluten free option today. I don't eat gluten free but wanted to try it. I got the extreme fudge brownie cupcake. It was an awesome adventure in chocolate yumminess. Looking for something sweet, always think Smallcakes. Awesome sweet treats and awesome service too! read more

I see this cute cupcake place quite frequently on facebook, they show very pretty and nicely decorated cupcakes and celebration cakes. A couple gluten free options as well. It was the end of the day when we arrived. Employees were peppy and friendly. Of course not many cup cakes left. Cute open air display. We were able to get the chocolate cheese cake, M&M's cupcake and a gluten free Marti Gras... want to try again, next time and we will come early. The icing is quite very different... Ice cream we tried was the puppy chow (cute name) and the red velvet...yummy. read more

Very pretty and appetizing looking desserts. They come with plenty of icing as well. They are not too bad but not that great either. I tried a gluten free cupcake and it was pretty good but dense which is expected since it's gluten free. read more

The tiny cupcakes are tasty but not too sweet. The cake is moist and it has just enough icing

Recently we had the carrot cake cupcakes, which are both my wife and my favorite. They have wonderful double/triple chocolate, strawberry, etc. A bit pricey, but they are like 3 times the size of your average homemade cupcake, and always fresh - so much fresher than store-bought! read more

Amazing cakes. I failed to order my dad's birthday cake in time and I called the store to ask if they would assist me with a basic cake that could feed 6 people and it was a huge success!! Greta customer service and amazing flavors read more

Just tried this place and love it. So far I've tried the birthday cake cupcake and it was heaven. The atmosphere and the service was phenomenal. It is pricey, but the quality and service is worth the price. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Bought carrot cake cupcakes for sons birthday and they were very tasty. My only problem was I had to order a dozen since it wasn't the carrot cake cupcake specialty day. We did enjoy the cupcakes. read more

I ordered my son's first birthday cake and smash cake from them. It was exactly how it was in the picture. Very happy with my experience.

I have been wanting to visit this bakery for a while now and I finally went with a friend. I had no idea it was a chain and honestly I don't care because the cupcakes are just that good. I tried the chocolate cream and it was delicious. Super moist and flavorful. Plus it was a huge cupcake. I think it was worth the price almost $4.00 I paid. I also love the shop, the decor is very pretty. Also, I think it is important to note that they change their menu monthly which is a cool thing since there is always something different and new to try. I plan to go back and try more of their cupcakes as well as their ice-cream. If I were you I would go try them out! read more

I'll be honest... my family loves cake, and by love we mean on an unhealthy obsessive level love cake. My whole family was gathered for my nephews birthday and my sister-in-law had to get him a special surprise. A Batman chocolate cake. Now the rest of the family loves there's regular white cake with ice ram, and are pretty indifferent to Batman to boot. So thinks we're looking glum... until we cut the cake. Songs shall be sung for years of the deliciousness of the Batman cake. It was as moist as can be with a great deep chocolate flavor. Bruce Wayne with all his billions couldn't have purchase a better dessert! read more

I've been wanting to come here for a while and after my best friend betrayed me and came without me, she finally took me. I had the smash, which is a choice of your cupcake cut in half and two scoops of ice cream together. I chose a chocolate cupcake with a chocolate frosting and then paired it with the caramel ice cream, which was delicious. I think my favorite part was by far the ice cream. We also came on a day that it was half off which was really awesome. The store is really adorable and I loved how they have all these different flavors of cupcakes and ice cream. Overall it was a really nice experience. read more

Their cupcakes are good. Love the chocolate, it's super fudgey. The others are a little more hit and miss. They're really close to the line of too much frosting like Gigi's. The parking lot is awful. Don't go during lunch hours or rush hour, you won't be able to park. read more

I know, I know, me being at any chain that's not fast food is like snow in July. Honestly, this is one of the best decision I've ever made, visiting this bakery. The ice cream is homemade and available daily, too! I got the hot fudge cupcake and my friend got the chocolate/coffee mix and both were simply delectable. I'm not sure if it was because they just brought out fresh cupcakes or because we came here pretty early in the day, but the cupcakes were super moist (ew I hate that word) and the ice cream was pretty spot on (comparable to Sweet Noshing's ice cream). There are a few downsides which include not having vegan options yet, but currently having gluten-free AND EVEN PUPCAKES OMG, and cupcakes are pretty pricey, set at $3.50/cupcake; more than local shops, but they are a pretty hefty size. read more

My friend brought me here for a birthday treat. We each got a cupcake and I got one to go. I may not have been craving a cupcake so it seemed overly sweet and there is a lot of frosting. I think some of their ice cream may have offset the sweetness. They call the combo a smash. I think I would really go for a filled cupcake if that was offered. Unique flavors of both cupcakes and ice cream. Small, cute setting. One service note. We ordered water and coffee to go with. I had to ask for the water and my friend was finished with her cupcake by the time her coffee was ready. read more

I ordered an assortment of cupcakes for my birthday. They were awful. The cake part was fine but the icing was absolutely terrible. Everything was supposedly "buttercream" BUT they clearly use lard. None of the icing on any of the cupcakes had ANY flavor. They were just sweet. Also, the carrot cake and red velvet flavors had this same fake buttercream on them. No self respecting baker would put buttercream on those flavors. The icing should be cream cheese icing. Unfortunately I won't be ordering from them again.........On a positive note, the ice cream was good. Still won't be ordering from them again. read more

FYI: The city on the address is incorrect on this listing. It is in Collierville. Smallcakes' cupcakes are phenomenal! Not just one or two flavors but ALL of them. Well, all of them that I have tried and that has been several. Everyone is very friendly. Who wouldn't be being around all that wonderfulness every day?! A wonderful local business that you should try. They have certain flavors that are offered daily; as well, special flavors each day. They have been known to sell out before closing so, if there is something in particular you are looking for go early. Look at Smallcakes Collierville on FB for the special flavors each day. If you like sugar/desserts/cupcakes, you NEED to stop by on the way home today! read more

I love this cupcake bakery! The smash is ice cream and cupcake in layers. It is very good, but can be too much at times. Today I got just a regular birthday cake cupcake and it was great! The frosting wasn't to over powering which I appreciated! read more

Smallcakes is pretty good; their cupcakes are definitely moist. One thing I will say is that the frosting on the cupcakes can sometimes taste like those cupcakes you can get at Kroger: a little too sugary with not quite the homemade taste one is looking for when you spend that extra money to go to a bakery. Maybe my tastebuds are broken but the last time I got the cupcakes (some weeks ago) the frosting on them tasted way more "homemade buttercream" and less "Kroger bakery-esque" than the ones I got recently. Muddy's Bake Shop is still my favorite bakery in Memphis but they're temporarily closed, so if you're having an emergency sugar craving, Smallcakes will probably satisfy the urge. read more

Extremely poor customer satisfaction. Arrived at the bakery at 3:50pm and the door was locked after I was told they close at 4pm. When I tried to call, they did not answer the phone. If they were going to close early, they should have told me on one of the four times I called. read more

I got there too late to try anything but the ice cream, but he ice cream is really good. The 3 that I tried were Biscoff, glazed donut, and carrot cake. Each of them worth the calories. Delicious cupcakes, cakes, and ice cream. My favorite things to order are the cup cake minis and the short bread cookies. All baked goods are very moist and fresh. Everything is baked fresh each day-- nothing is kept in the freezer like some other bakeries in town. Small cakes is my go to whenever I need to take a dessert somewhere or just want a sweet treat. Try it, you won't be disappointed. read more

Super delicious cupcakes that are huge and really decorated with care. Many flavors to choose from, nicely boxed for taking home and try the "Cupcake In A Jar". Something Different and a Very Sweet store to visit! read more

I have been here twice now and each time I have not been disappointed. The cupcakes are pricey, but the size, flavor and presentation make it worth it. The customer service is great. The young lady working the register was busy helping another customer but acknowledged me and waited on me as soon as she was finished. I tried the wedding cake, and chocolate+ vanilla and they were both delicious. I didn't mind paying the price because the cupcakes were large and tasted great! This is a new business and I hope they stick around. read more

I barely saw the store as I was driving west on Poplar, and we had discussed picking up something interesting for dessert. I am glad that we turned around, because Smallcakes definitely delivered. We could not decide, so we selected a few to take home, and I had some ice cream as well. My wife and I both loved every bite, regardless of the selection. We will definitely stop in every time we are in the area. read more

Have been there many times. Good service and great product. I love their in house made ice creams. The glazed donut ice cream is crazy good.

For all my life I have hated icing. It is always tasteless, piled on yuck. That is until I recently, at a girlfriends insistence, tried Smallcakes! Ohhh my goodness!!!! I had a cupcake with caramel frosting that was so good, I wanted more icing. ME! More icing! HA! It was hands down the best cupcake and definitely the best icing/frosting I've ever eaten in my entire life. Loved the staff, helpful, kind and man are they dangerous with the ice cream tasting! Smash up is definitely in my future! read more

I was excited to see we had a new bakery option in the Collierville area as I have a huge sweet tooth and love cupcakes. However, this place is the exception. We first tried this place about a week after they opened. My husband and I both tried separate flavor cupcakes with the intention of sharing them. Both were so sickeningly sweet that we could not eat them. I had no intentions of trying this place again. However, I kept seeing good reviews and raves about them so we decided that maybe we tried it too soon after opening. We tried it again this week with hopes of it being better. Unfortunately, it wasn't. This time, instead of being too sweet, the icing was barely sweet at all and had a very strong shortening flavor. Very odd. We won't be giving this place another try. read more

I say you can almost always judge a bakery by it's vanilla cake but I was a little disappointed. I got their "wedding cake" and the cake was very moist, but also could tell it was a box mix, which there is nothing wrong with at all, I just prefer from scratch taste and texture like Muddy's. The big disappointment was the frosting which was obviously Crisco/shortening based and for the $3.50 they charge per cupcake I would expect real butter in the buttercream. There was also a little too much almond extract in the frosting. I mean, it was a very good tasting cupcake for maybe $2.50, but for $3.50 I expect more real, from scratch ingredients (even Gigi's uses real buttercream even if their cake is from a mix). Ok if you're in collierville and craving a little something sweet, but if you want the real deal from scratch taste, make the drive to Muddy's. Lovely employees, very kind and helpful! read more
