We tried Whole Foods Market last year, beautiful cake, but not as tasty. This year, The Pink Bakery pulled it off without a hitch. Organic, allergen free cupcakes - no dairy, nuts, gluten, eggs, etc. It's local and they pride themselves on not using the 8 most popular allergens. The bakery owner takes time at delivery to explain how to keep the cakes intact since they are organic and can easily become hard due to no preservatives. Wonderful touches and attention to detail. The strawberry and vanilla bean cupcakes were glorious. My son swiped the frosting of 3 cupcakes so those cupcakes were all for the birthday boy. There were a sighs of relief when parents saw the cupcake box from The Pink Bakery with the label stating no allergens. One mom enjoyed them so much that she took one home for herself. No EpiPens or Benadryl were used where everyone had a safe and enjoyable party. http://Www.thepinkbakery.com

My husband ordered a cake here for my birthday. He specifically ordered everything to not include…read moreor be done with any sort of buttercream because on top of buttercream making me very sick, it also does not agree with my body and then I have numerous days of torture ahead. The cake was decorated decently, however, the inside of the cake layers is buttercream. I found this out after I already took a generous bite and I have been struggling with my stomach since then. The cream cheese icing used was almost unbearably sweet, so unfortunately, a good portion of the cake slices were thrown away and the remainder of the cake will have to be disposed of. I worked in an Italian bakery in NYC for a few years and have never tasted an icing that was THIS sweet. On top of everything else, the cake was supposed to be lemon flavored. I'm assuming they "baste" their cakes either a lemon flavoring because the only area that had any lemon flavoring was the immediately part touching the buttercream that I threw away after the first bite. Overall, I am beyond thankful that my husband wanted to gift me a beautiful and delicious cake, even remembering that I have intolerances to buttercream and my love for lemons, unfortunately, Miss Muff'n did not deliver a good product. We won't be returning customers.

Snowa ("With Snow") Bakery and Cafe is a Korean bakery and cafe located in Germantown…read more There's plenty of parking, as it's a private lot shared with other businesses. Upon entering, you'll find about twelve tables in the dining area and a water station to the left. On the far right, there's a ramen station where you can make your own ramen and enjoy it on-site -- similar to the convenience stores found in Korea. The bakery section is on the far left near the register, offering around ten different freshly baked treats. FOOD: Bulgogi Kimbap (4/5): There are three kimbap options -- bulgogi, tuna, or veggie. It's cooked rice with various fillings (carrots, pickled radish, spinach, eggs), rolled in dried seaweed, and sliced into bite-sized pieces. Unlike sushi, the rice is seasoned with sesame oil and salt. You really can't go wrong with this classic. Tonkatsu (Fried Pork Cutlet, 4/5): Breaded and deep-fried until golden and crisp, this dish comes in a generous portion. I had to take half home for dinner. It's classically served with rice and shredded cabbage salad with a creamy sesame dressing. There was a good amount of kimchi and yellow pickled radish on the side. Green Tea Bing Su (4/5): Perfectly refreshing for hot Memphis summers, this Korean shaved ice dessert is topped with sweetened red beans, almond slices, and green tea ice cream. It's light, sweet, and satisfying. Dalgona Coffee (3/5): Dalgona is a crunchy honeycomb toffee with a caramelized flavor (as seen in Squid Game). The large dalgona pieces on top slowly melt into the coffee. A bit too sweet for my taste, but it was fun to try. The service is mostly self-serve after your food is brought to the table, with a water and utensil station available near the entrance. Would I come back? Absolutely!

When I walked in to the store, it was bright and vibrant, and the three large mixers immediately caught my eye. Additionally, the person helping us was friendly and smiling. The smell, vibrancy, and friendliness of the staff are pluses. The reason for only three stars is based off the cookie. I had the lemon glazed. First, the icing flavor is very robust, and I enjoyed it. However, the cookie was extremely undercooked. Very doughy in the center. Of course I'm a bit over weight...so I still ate 90% of it, but it could've been so much better with an extra minute in the oven. If the cookie would've been in the oven just a little bit longer this would be a five star review. But after paying $4 for the cookie and then being prompted to tip $2, I feel as if I did not get the value for the price. With that being said. I still recommend you try it out. This could've been just a one off and/or you might like a little bit of adoughy cookie.
