    Chocolate Tahini Cookie

If you're looking for beautiful baked goods that are as delicious as they look, then look no further! My husband is a big fan of the croissants and if you're gluten free like me, then you NEED to get yourself one of the chocolate tahini cookies! This has now become a regular spot for me! The host is always very kind as well and keeps us informed of what might be coming soon. There is also a lot of other items for sale in the storefront. Local art and whatnots. It's always neat to see what's there.

Wow! Chris and Anderson were awesome today. I came in to check it out, left with some awesome goodies. The gluten free-vegan Tahini cookie was so good. I can also attest to the pecan and almond crescents being phenomenal. I tried them in spite of my gluten allergy. Picked up a country sourdough loaf for my family. Already looking forward to popping back in sometime soon. Chris and Anderson were both very knowledgeable on the selections. Talk about a carb overload! Wow. So good though. Very chill and laid back vibes.

I bought three cookies at the Pink Palace Museum gift shop. Now, I'm addicted to the delicious Ginger Molasses Cookies, and I need to get more! I certainly hope that they also make croissants and beignets.

The products here are extremely high quality and delicious! I also find that the prices are reasonable. You can get fresh loaves of bread, cookies, pastries....really anything you can imagine getting from a bakery. Whenever I go, I buy at least 3 items to try because they are so affordable! I only wish their front of house was updated. They have a beautiful large space and I think they could do a lot more with it.

Oh yum!!! My favorite was the ginger pear tart! This place is good! Unique flavors that taste very good. Nice blend of sweet and also savory items. Fabulous for packing a picnic lunch. I would like to see tables, chairs, drinks and seating areas.

    Croissant, blueberry muffin, scones.

We are visiting Memphis over the weekend. Staying in Airbnb. Need a breakfast for my family and this shop was very close to our place . Let me tell you - all the pastries was amazing. Croissant was our favorite, so fluffy and buttery! Blueberry muffins- sooo good ! Tons of berries, nor super sweet, just yummy!!!!

Pastry and cookie were good. Sweet breads didn't have enough filling to bread ration in my humble opinion. Very sweet place though.

Update: They are currently open on Mondays! Which was lucky for me as today is Monday and I had a few hours of free time. This is part-boutique, part-bakery. I am a macaron fanatic and the raspberry macaron was 100% the BEST macaron I've ever had. It was fresh, bursting with flavor, and crumbled so delicately. Thankfully they come in packs of two, so I have one more to enjoy later. I bought a few packs of macaroons, a delicious ice-cold mango green tea, a greeting card, two vinyl decals, and a perfect t-shirt: "Mental Health Matters", going to post that today to my college Senior. I got to chat a bit with one of the owners today, and she shared with me that she designs some of the cool decals and tees!! Very talented. Please support this local treasure. They ship, too! I'm only in town for a week, but I'll definitely be back for more treats!

LaMadelaine's in the Garden District of NOLA is a MUST when I make my way that far south, so it's no wonder I have shopped locally to get my french pastry "fix on" over the many decades LaBaquette has been available to me here. Knowing Reginald Dahl, the original owner of LaBaguette, used to make those pit stops even more special for me, as I try to support local businesses when possible. I decided recently to pick up a few things on my way home. I ended up w/a total of 4 pastries (one was day old so it was half off) one was a chocolate raspberry tart, an almond croissant, an almond creme filled custard. The sticker shock total was OVER $22.00!!! Absolutely ridiculous to think I paid that for 4 items. BUT, this is NOT the reason for the review. The choc raspberry tart was atrocious. There was no balance to the chocolate to raspberry ratio. The whisper of raspberry flavor that managed to make it into the bottom of the pastry shell wasn't even enough to make out a berry flavor at all. If there hadn't been a slight thin line of reddish color for the naked eye to perceive, I'd have thot it was all chocolate icing. Sadly, I think I'm done w/LaBaguette, I refuse to pay their expensive prices just to receive poor quality products.

Now for the coffee... Their Moqana Latte is a beautifully made. It's rare to find a signature latte that is rich in flavor without being overbearingly sweet. It allows the quality of the espresso to actually shine through. Plus, the latte art was a nice touch. It's almost a shame to take that first sip, but the flavor makes it worth every bit. And then, there's their Pistachio Cake. I believe they bake it in-house. I was expecting a decent slice but this was moist, with a decadent consistency reminiscent of a tres leches cake. It's light yet indulgent, and easily one of the best desserts I've had in the area recently. Their service is great. They're open late, a plus for the night shift people. The atmosphere is charming and the quality is consistent. Looking forward for my next latte.
