This is my favorite donut shop in Oregon (and I've been to a lot). The donuts are fresh and remind me of the old fashioned donut shops. The building is old but they do a great job keeping it clean. There is a table full of beautiful plants to check out while you're waiting in line. We came in once right after an older gentleman accidentally ran into the building and injured someone. The staff were amazing and making sure he was ok, the building was safe and everyone got their donuts. read more

Stopped by here because I was craving donuts. Even by 1:30 PM they still had a great selection! Got an old fashioned and a chocolate covered twist. The twist was soft and fluffy, not greasy. We love this spot and come every weekend with my son. So, for his birthday coming up, we decided to do Richard's Donuts instead of a cake. We called ahead to order one dozen each of glazed, chocolate with sprinkles, and another chocolate with sprinkles, so 3x dozen donuts and 2x dozen donut holes. We were quoted $123. Which is absurd, so we called back and asked, we were told each donut was priced at $3.50 each, but I come every weekend and know their prices and that ain't it. When you enter, the whole place is filthy- junk, trays, boxes and trash fill the left side of the shop. Junky potted plants are against the window. Always squishy and delicious. These fresh made donuts are always our go-to when we are in or around Bend, Oregon. Now they accept Venmo not just cash for the win!! The cinnamon twist is ginormous and I only ate half (which is equal to the normal sized glazed or long John) at any other donut joint. Went in on a Saturday morning and there was a long line but it moved quick. Grabbed a few different things - so many options it was difficult to choose! Richard's donuts. Oh my gosh, the cases were full still at 10:00, no worries. You weren't even allowed to get too close to the case because they were so precious. We picked up a cream cheese cinnamon roll, a filled stick with chocolate frosting, a blueberry cake and an apple fritter. The clerk was so nice and patient while we made our choices and we were wide eyed on our first visit! She wanted to be extra careful packaging the frosted cinnamon roll, So we had a box and a couple of extra donut holes put in there that were a surprise. There was nothing fancy about the shop. We didn't have a little difficulty getting the GPS to take us there. There is only a couple people in the lobby so it seems plenty large, but I read about other comments of it being a busy place. They had options for ordering sister's coffee, but we didn't try that so I have no review on the coffee. read more

New to Bend and now my go to place to grab a donut. I tired 2 other donut shops before stopping in here. One was truly a dough nut and was horrible, the second was so dry, but globed on the icing and clearly hadn't changed the frying oil in a while. Then i stopped in here. it's just a little hole in the wall (maybe pun intended) with a full display case of products. I went with the basic donut holes, chocolate raised and maple old fashioned to see how they were and to have some leftovers for next day. All of them were great...most of the donut holes didn't make it out of the parking lot...just saying. 2 people working the counter were nice enough...not overly but they were cranking through the line which I appreciated. Absolutely awful customer service. The skinny white kid with the long-ish hair had a serious attitude. He behaved as though patrons were an annoyance. He never welcomed us nor thanked us for coming in. He was incredibly rude when we were selecting our doughnuts and my wife told him twice she wanted a coffee. As he literally snatched the money out of my hand I had to raise my voice to him and say, "Hey, did you hear my wife? She's asking for a coffee." He didn't apologize for ignoring her and brusquely told a coworker to get the coffee. He had such a piss-poor attitude that I wanted to teach him manners the hard way, since his parents obviously didn't teach him any. Also, he threw our doughnuts into the bag.
