Bloom & Rose is located inside a large warehouse-style food hall filled with a variety of small restaurants and vendors offering everything from Jamaican and Asian cuisine to BBQ and more. It created a fun atmosphere and made the whole experience feel a bit like a food tour. The staff was friendly, and the food came out quickly. I asked when she was opening the store that I have been eyeing for ages. Well over once a week, as I pass by there many times a week. She said they are open. And have been for a while. I picked up some popcorn, which was very good and I'd happily eat it again. I sampled some of her cookies and other things she had on the table. They all tasted great. I can't wait to try more, but I'll have to stop by Thur-Sun after 12 noon. But they are open into the evenings many days, great for the Allentown restaurant and bar crowd. Pick up a frozen treat this summer or a cookie instead of a grilled cheese from just down the road. Nice to have choices like that on Allen. If you have a specific thing you want to pick up I'd call in advance to make sure she has it that day or can make it for you. Though I prefer the scones quite a bit more. I find the prices to be quite high. Cost is $5.50 per scone, or more. Then once you add on tax and a tip you've already dropped $13-$15 for just two scones. Last time I bought two scones, a cupcake, and a cookie and it was $35 (and only 1 scone & 1 cookie were vegan). There are quite a few tables inside to stop and have a meal. Though after looking at the menu it seems there's only 1 vegan option and for me, it's not worth the price. Parking can be a challenge as you'll have to park in the main lot which can fill up, especially during peak hours. The last time I tried to stop in, the lights were on, the sign said open, but the door was locked. I knocked on the door several times- a worker saw me but never came over to open the door. Very strange.

Since this is such an important part of planning my wedding, that part of the experience felt a bit disappointing. Overall, while I was really rooting for this to be "the place" especially since it's a big and popular bakery I don't feel confident moving forward with them for my wedding desserts.
