Mc Duffies sells Mr. Pot Pie almond rings. I am told this almond ring is the one of the best in the area because of their filling ratio and the drizzle on top. So many favorites at this store! The staff are very friendly and personable. The varieties of soup change daily, which I really like. My favorite cookies are the Ricotta and of course the buttery Shortbreads. I also purchase the Almond Ring to bring as a dessert or gift when visiting a friend. I have been visiting for nearly six years to pick up soup or chili for lunch and have never been disappointed in my selection. The staff is always very helpful and well-informed on cooking times, temps, ingredients, etc. and so pleasant and kind as well. The baked goods I have tried and shared have always been very popular. The almond ring, cinnamon bread, shortbread, Italian cookies, fudge, and English muffins are all worth at least one try. Don't pass on any cookie. They are all amazing. read more

We stopped by based on all the photos of selection and they only had a few cookies. After being in the car for a while, I asked to use the restroom and the worker was so annoyed that I asked to use the restroom, she said it's for employees only, so after explaining I intend on making a purchase she then directed me to where the restroom was. After I walked away my son said she rolled her eyes. Feeling bad for using the restroom and no selection, we purchased a coffee, then the work tried to scam us in buying more because the "coffee is cheaper" if we bought a pound of cookies. They make the quintessential, chicken pot pie as well as a variety of other flavors; frozen, ready to bake (for 80 min.). I also grabbed some frozen pierogis and a frozen mini taco pot pie. I also spotted fresh made breakfast almond rings and a variety of fresh baked bread. Back to my Chicken Put Pie... the crust was flaky, the filling was tender chicken, carrots, peas and enough sauce to make it moist without over doing it. Absolutely deliciousness!! Run there, to get yourself some of these homemade comfort foods! I stopped in specifically to try the soup of the day they had posted on their Facebook but unfortunately it was sold out when I went in. Of note, the soup was being served in a self-serve vat on the countertop (maybe it's the germaphobe in me but I don't care for this option, I always wonder how many customers have coughed or sneezed while serving it or left the lid open ... I prefer the soup to be behind the counter for staff to serve). The chicken pot pie is OK. I've bought it a few times and there's always too much onion for my taste. *Update* The Seafood Pot Pie is too much for me and I love seafood. We bought the single serve to try it out and I'm glad we did. This was our first visit to Mr. Pot Pie McDuffies Bakery and it's really nice inside and the food is great! They have samples at the front of pastries and bread. I wish they offered samples of the pot pies, because they're pricey and it would be disappointing to spend $20-30 (after taxes) on one and not like it. We purchased the Turkey Bacon Gouda Pot Pie and it was AMAZING! It had big chunks of turkey, potatoes and tiny bacon chunks, similar to bacon bits BUT the bacon did NOT taste like crappy container bacon bits from the grocery store! The bacon is actually applewood smoked bacon. The Gouda cheese was actually a sauce and was so yummy!! The corn bread is ok. It tastes a little too much like corn. We also bought the Lemon Blueberry Bread and it's so yummy too! It has a nice crumbly icing and Blueberry chunks. The reason why I gave this place 5 stars instead of 4 (based off of price) is because it would cost almost as much to buy all the ingredients to the make the Turkey Bacon Gouda Pot Pie AND we'd have to cut everything up and bake it. Holy shite!!! I often thought about going in and seeing what's happening in Mr. Pot Pie. Today I went to this Hamburg location and browsed the plentiful baked goods and frozen pies. I selected a Turkey, Bacon, Gouda pot pie. I popped it in the oven for an hour at 350, and let it sit for 10 minutes as instructed. The pie cut beautifully and served without falling apart. There were big well seasoned chucks of turkey that were very flavorful. The Gouda mixed in the gravy was subtle and delicious. The potatoes were large and properly cooked. The crust (which is always the trickiest part) was really delicious and very edible as opposed to the hard crusts that get easily tossed. I'd love an apple pie with a crust that good. Unfortunately the bacon was not really there in a meaningful way, which was disappointing. I ordered some country white bread which seems great for toasting. There are a lot of different pie options - and I'm especially interested in the steak and Guinness pie. This was a great find - I highly recommend, and will definitely return. There was a group of women at the dog park that couldn't stop ranting and raving about this place. I had the idea in my head that it was a restaurant that served pot pies, so I was surprised when I walked in and it was just a bakery. You walk in and there are so many delicious pastries, cupcakes, cookies, breads, pot pies and soups. There are samples available of many of their treats. I was able to taste the chicken pot pie filling, and I was hooked right away. I went straight to the freezer and bought one to make at home. I also bought a cinnamon bun and it was so delicious! Two days later, (Today) I made the chicken pot pie. And it was the very best I've ever had. The crust was so butter and delicious. The vegetables were so fresh and beautiful. The pie was fantastic! We will definitely be going here again. Though I wish they sold single hot pot pies in the store. I suggest you think about opening a restaurant! read more

I stopped in for the seafood bisque and also picked up a seafood pot pie for my in laws. The soup was a large portion for a small size ($4.99) and it came with a fresh roll. Very delicious and full of yummy seafood flavor. I ate half and saved the rest for my husband to try and he couldn't get enough! Told me next time bring home the large which is only $7.99. My mother in law text me after eating the pot pie saying "it was out of this world!" I was so pleased they enjoyed it and look forward to trying it myself next time! This place is pretty good. I've gotten a few of the pot pies and they have all been solid, turkey Gouda being my favorite. Right on the edge of being overpriced but still reasonable in my opinion. To go out and buy everything to make one pot pie would run you the same plus your time. The soups are all good, seafood bisque is excellent. Not sure if they are scratch made or not but they are tasty. Only thing I've ever gotten out of the bakery is the potato, cheddar and bacon scone. Man is that delicious. Take it home, toast it up with a little butter and your in heaven. Strange that they are closed on Sunday mornings as that seems like a good time to go get some coffee and baked goods. I've walked up there a couple times forgetting they are closed. Nice to give employees a break but seems like a few hours on Sunday mornings could be lucrative. The bakery products are great here. The shortbread cookies are in several varieties- chocolate chip, toffee crunch or chocolate and all very yummy. The breads are very good with no preservatives so eat them quick. But I will never buy another pot pie from them. I bought a chicken pot pie, family size. My granddaughter and I love pot pies. I cooked the pie in the oven according to directions. While cooking the pie it bubbled over with lots and lots of grease all over the baking sheet. No gravy left in the pie and the pieces of chicken were very dry. My granddaughter said "Grandma, never buy a pie from them again". And I won't. They are quite pricey too! I was disappointed because They were supposed to be made with lots of cream so I expected the best but got the worst. I did bring soup home but my husband did not like their soups either. I am disappointed in Mr. Pot Pie. I took home a seafood pie the other day $26. The ingredient list listed among other items crab meat. It was not real crab meat and tasted soooo fake. It ruined the pie. It was also very dry. We threw it in the garbage. I sent an email to the owner and told them it is illegal to pass fake crab off as real crab. You would expect to get a response back wouldn't you? It never happened. I now have a trust issue with their products. If they lie about one product they lie about all of them! read more
